Heartstopper season 2 really just went for the jugular, didn’t it? Stunning writing and outstanding acting. The way this show hits all the right notes without pushing too hard—it gives us the candy sweetness of highschool love and queer joy while also giving us devastating moments of the reality of our existence in this world.
We all knew they were talented from last season, but goddamn, Joe Locke and Kit Connor really just decided to give a masterclass on acting during this delightful queer coming of age show? Like the absolute gut-wrenching performance they both delivered in the second to last scene of the final episode? The nuance, the levels, the tenderness, the quiet moments between the words.
