I wonder how much of v10’s focus will be on family thematically. They’ve certainly laid the groundwork for it in v9
A Rose-Xiao Long-Branwen family reunion feels imminent, I’m not even going to go into how much there is to unpack there, that’s a separate post in itself
Ghira and Kali reuniting with Blake (again) getting to see how much she’s flourished since the last time they saw her. Getting to meet Yang in particular but also the rest of her team
Willow, Winter, and Whitley finding out Weiss is alive! Rebuilding their relationships with each other like they had started to in v7/8 now that Jacques is no longer in the picture (also another topic that could be its own post)
The Brothers themselves now that their true origin has been revealed. Their (the god of light’s really) hypocritical demand to unite Remnant or else we’ll nuke your planet again. They haven’t actually been united themselves this whole time though
Team rwby - not friends. Family - being implied by the Blacksmith to be a representation of true balance through their love for each other

But that frustration is entirely on Rooster Teeth for abusing their staff in the first place. And certainly should not be on Kdin and her rightfully asking people to not use her words.

The thing that really gets to me about the bees being planned from the beginning isn't even that we were right in spite of the haters.
It's the fact that all the little things we noticed in the years have always been legit.
The concept arts with the colors in common (you know the ones)
Yang and Adam's semblances being the same yet drastically different, and them in general made to be foils.
All the Beauty and the Beast references.
"Black the Beast descends from shadows, yellow Beauty burns gold"
"I'll destroy everything you love... Starting with her" being actually about romantic love.
The whole jealous ex trope.
"WHAT DOES SHE EVEN SEE IN YOU"
All the times Blake talked about her team during volume's 4-5 and her tone always being different when it was Yang.
All the pining of those volume and Yang's heartbreak.
Their eyes being the colors of each other's souls.
The comics actually meaning the implication that they're the reincarnation of the Faunus Princess and her Human Lover.
All the comics in general showing so many interactions and how close they were since Beacon!

Also, a reminder that, while I'm contributing to the numbers on Crunchyroll through a friend's account, I am never giving my money directly to RT and I don't want anyone else to either. Idc how good their inevitable BB merch is, don't fucking buy it. Don't pay for a FIRST membership just to watch Always Open. Don't use the words of members of CRWBY to justify giving them money. Support small creators who have been making queer content for years, buy fan merch, support CRWBY through whatever means they give you outside of RT.
That stance may been too much or too little for some, but it's the conclusion I've come to and I'm going to stick with it. The accomplishments of CRWBY should not be used to excuse the abuses RT put them and others through, and BB should not allow them to get back in our good graces.

People make art. Companies don't. And the people who made that art you love are very likely no longer even at the companies you defend.
