In today’s episode, Jaune revealed that Lewis and Alyx were actually residents of Vacuo Kingdom (surprise, surprise) during a time before the Great War. And since we know that Lewis actually returned from the Ever After, it make wonder something curious.
If Lewis was the author of the Girl Who Fell Through the World fairy-tale then it would make perfect sense as to why he omitted himself from the written adventures in the Ever After and chose to make Alyx the protagonist. It makes sense since, unlike Lewis, Alyx never returned home and basically “died” in the Ever After.
So my assumption is that Lewis must’ve maintained his sister’s story through his story about her. That way Alyx’s legacy was able to live on in some shape or form despite the real Alyx practically ceasing to exist after never returning home.
Since Jaune was shown to still be have some qualms over his time in the Ever After, it got me thinking.
What if…Jaune were to (somehow) discover the original journal of Lewis which he had used to record his experience in the Ever After in the Vacuo archives?
What if…Jaune were to meet someone closely connected to Lewis and Alyx while in Vacuo? Like a surviving member of their family bloodline still thriving in modern Remnant.
What if… Headmaster Theodore was that surviving member? I know the main popular theory is that Lewis was one of Ozma’s reincarnations but imagine if Lewis wasn’t an Ozma reincarnation but Theo’s ancestor instead?
I haven’t read either of the RWBY After the Fall books so I’m not familiar with Headmaster Theodore in terms of characterization or like what his backstory is.
That being said, I do, however like the idea of the final maiden being connected to Theo in some shape or form.
For me, I like the prospect of the Summer Maiden being either Theo’s daughter or younger sister or cousin or niece or some important person to him as she’s probably the only family he has left.
Again, I don’t know anything about Theo but thus far, none of the other headmasters of the huntsmen academies have had any reason to be protective of their respective maiden outside of a moral obligation as per Ozpin’s instructions.
To make Theo stand out more, I think it would be a nice change of pace if Theo, the final headmaster, were to share an actual connection to the final maiden as she is a beloved relative of his.
Why bring this up? Well I like the idea of Jaune forming a close relationship with another Maiden candidate. Maybe he could even fall in love with the Summer Maiden.
Technically, Jaune hasn’t had a legit love interest since Pyrhha and I don’t know about ya’ll but…after six seasons (and half a movie), I’m kind of tired of being reminded of Arkos, ya’ll.
It was the Ship that was meant to be that never got to be because Writers decided to kill it off early.
Don’t get me wrong. I love Arkos. Arkos was a great ship that was gone too soon.
To (finally) close the chapter on Jaune moving on from Pyrhha (since even after all of his growth, I still don't think he's over her as the show keeps constantly bringing up whenever they can)...
I think it actually might be cute if Jaune does end up being romantically involved with the Summer Maiden who he actually succeeds in protecting from Cinder when she comes to steal her powers.
I’ve grown tired of new maidens showing up in the story just to die for the sake of the powers being passed onto a main character.
Since Summer is the last maiden, it would be nice if Summer is the one to stop the cycle of original maiden deaths and she actually gets to live on even after opening the vault.
As much as I like WhiteKnight as a ship, I honestly gave up on it becoming canon after V5 dropped and nothing else was done to further develop Weiss and Jaune’s relationship as a prospective romance.
Yeah sure, V9 tossed us a crumb of Weiss being attracted to Jaune in his more mature Rusted Knight persona.
But after further deliberation, I’ve concluded that that little nugget of hope isn’t enough to get me back on the horse of hoping for a romance between these two.
Do you know what would actually be pretty wild?
If Jaune fell in love with the Summer Maiden who is not only a red-head (like Pyrhha) but is also a descendent of Lewis who is the author of the Girl Who Fell Through the World and thus a relative of Alyx.
And unlike Alyx and Pyrhha who Jaune failed to protect/help/save, Jaune is able to do just that with the Summer Maiden by protecting her from Cinder and thus, the two are able to live happily ever after.
That would actually be wild.
Not saying this would become true in the canon. I'm just tossing it out into the RWBY FNDM ether as a food for thought.

plus soundtracks for every volume + IQ, and drm-free epubs.
i will add any additional rwby content released during the wind down period as it becomes available. V1-8 have an english subtitle track embedded in the files, V9 does not because it came from CR. IQ dub has english subtitles. and for the sake of completeness i pulled all the non-english subs available on CR for V1-9 as well, those are in there as loose .ass files for the time being.
whenever possible, buy physical media. learn how to strip drm out of digital content that you own and make it a habit to do so.

With rooster teeth gone, I just hope the crew finds something else to support themselves and rwby gets a new home with a company that can support it, Love the universe they have built and I hope we can see the story finished soon, and maybe some spin-offs.

I want to clarify that I’m not giving up hope that things will work out in some capacity. I still want to believe that the little web show that could will find a place that will let it finish its story.
This show is so freakin popular, not only in the states but also in Japan, who not only dubbed the series but even made their own anime for it.
This show is so popular that it got a two movie crossover with the Justice League.
WB may not care about legacy or passion or creativity but they do care about money. And while I’m just some faceless voice on the internet I’d like to think WB are at least smart to see that RWBY is profitable. It can make them money.
My preference would be for them to also keep the writers, VAs, and music team the same. That would realistically be my most ideal scenario.
Will we get it? I don’t know. But I’m not about to doom and gloom a situation when there’s still a shot, you know.
“Blind optimism isn’t great, but no optimism means we’ve already lost. We need hope. We need to take risks.”

Little proud of this Apolo dodgeball i threw out there after we met the cat for the first time.
The Devil and Angel Over the Shoulder
Ruby is spiraling this volume. She could go many ways. She could give up shed like an old coat, become a villain and follow Alyxs footsteps, or she could rise up and become a new person.
We know Ruby is low on what we've been told is the core of her very character. Her hope. Her spark. Her pureness.
She's in despair and how would you pull someone out of that? Well things would require a smaller, more honest soul.
One who could inspire hope into those who's lost it.
We are outright shown that Little will be representing hope this volume by filling in the jar.
If Little is there to represent Purity and Hope, guiding Ruby in the good direction effectively being the angel on her shoulder. (Backed up by her offering words to say next for Ruby. "You are great as you are.. small.")
Then the Curious Cat will be the devil over Rubys shoulder
I believe they have ulterior motives with our girls because they are human. They didn't show interest until Ruby said what they were. They effectively save the girls from the prince but I noticed something interesting during that scene.
They condole the Red Prince by rubbing against his legs and offering soothing words "It must hurt your heart. Let me help" and calmed him down.
Then the prince falls into another hissy fit where,
The cat ignores him in favor of Ruby. The prince takes note and crys even harder which is when the cat tells Ruby and co to run away. Now I wonder if passing the prince was a purposeful move by the cat. The Red Prince seems surprised about the cat not comforting him. And the cat ditches him with the humans. Not an evil thing to do but felt slightly cold. Same with when they first started speaking and took their time licking their paws.
A lot of this mistrust does stem from the fact they hired a well-known and liked voice actor to play them. Feels like Bo Burnham in Promising Young Women type of twist.
Also this moment after they escape
Means they're gonna harm Yang in some way or they'll be the drive behind moving past her self-sacrificial tendencies.
They seem to be alluding to the cat from Coraline as well based off this scene where they go through the small doors through a tunnel into another place.
Yes they're asking questions that will drive character development, but they could start asking questions that could lead Ruby down the wrong path with clever wording.

I just found this fan animation and it's soooooo good. This is canon Red extended trailer as far as I'm concerned. Top comment on it is that this channels such raw Monty fight choreography and it's completely true. RT needs to hire this person for future seasons.

I think one of the reasons why it feels so off is that the beds and room in general lack a distinctive personality that our characters always show with their things. Their outfits, weapons, vehicles, headphones, etc... are all very loud about their owner's personality. This just looks like a scene pulled from another show.
Yo people being mean to kid Yang saying her head is to big saying this is just regular Yang's head I'm just like no it's not you can see the difference.... Anyways I will not stand for this slander.

If V10 does get Greenlit, one of the many things we have to worry about other than if the animation team will be brought back or not and the length of the runtime, Is Tyrian's Voice since Jessie James Grelle bailed on rooster teeth for the treatment of their employees, Either they actually get their shit together and stop treating everyone who works for them like garbage (which is Highly unlikely) or they Could hire a new VA (Which is MORE likely), But you're probably not all that concerned with who is voicing who, which is fine, considering other things for the show are more important to be worried about, but even so i would like to know who you would all think would be good enough to be Tyrians' new VA.

Here's a thought:
The Brothers somehow feel the death of their first creation and learn that humans, a creation not meant to be in the Ever After caused their death? Sure, the Jabberwalker was easy an easy death to ignore, they already had their squabble about its death and came to a conclusion on accepting it's end sometime after leaving the Ever and the Salem/Oz incident and wiping out humanity.
But the cat is their very first creation. The Blacksmith said humans had a greater impact than they thought. What if that causes the Brothers to return to Remnant to see what has become of humanity before they relics are assembled? Or since they seem stubborn, they hold off but the destruction and creation humans caused within the Ever After effectively cause The brother of Destruction to sway towards Humanities side and actually stick up for them in the end?

One of the reasons why Qrow thinks his semblance is only misfortune is because ever since he was young random objects/weapons/bullets/fire just randomly hit him out of nowhere. When in reality it's just Raven portaling shit to him.
