I wish everyone a prosperous, healthy and peaceful Eid💖 (and the rest of 2024!)
Also here's a quick speedpaint I snagged from the reels on my Instagram! Don't mind the song—I've been listening to this piece of legend my entire life 👉👈

To non-Malaysians, I beg you to listen to this piece of Eid music. It's a banger 👌
Fun fact about nyantsu: I love to draw in my loved ones' books actually. The smiles on their faces when they see the little doodles I drew are always precious to me! ⊂((・▽・))⊃
What? I'm proud of how this little guy turned out. Give him some recognition 🙄 /j
Even though my family doesn't really believe in gender roles, I've been surrounded by people who do religiously.
Maybe it's because I'm on the spectrum, or maybe it's just my personality, but I don't really care that much about my gender. I'm a cis woman, but I don't have any qualms about it. It's just a part of me. But back when I was 14, I've been told by a friend that because I don't fit the mould set for women (a.k.a. stereotypes), I should become trans, or at least non-binary.
The thing is: I've dealt with enough sexism in my childhood. And being told that "not being feminine enough" is enough to make me trans is just disheartening for a girl who just don't fit in stereotypes and "traditional" gender roles. And the best part? I don't plan to succumb to those.
But this is the problem I see based on my experience and observations. Have your hair cut short? You're a lesbian. Wear men's shirts because they're comfortable? Boom! You're trans.
It's kinda funny to me, since I'm from a relatively conservative country, yet they have the same mentality as the progressives:
Not following "traditional" gender roles = LGBTQ+
I mean, why can't we let girls and women be themselves, without any judgement no less? We don't need to overcompensate ourselves just for the sake of how everyone perceive us.
I'm all for equal rights and equity, but isn't it literally sexist to label a woman solely based on her looks and personality?
