hello!! i just wanted to say that i really adore your autumn quilt art! i was wondering if you were inspired by any specific quilts or artwork? i want to start doing quilt-like nature layout art but i'm honestly not sure where to start

hi! it wasn't inspired by any real quilts actually, but I find pinterest has been a good source of finding unique old quilts to reference!

also for that one I literally drew the fox in the square and just slowly added little things around it until I felt like I could close it off haha

that's a good old classic fjallraven kanken. not great for like actual outdoor activities because it has weird weight distribution because of the shape, but she's a cute every day carry :-)

Sorry for asking it’s only because the tipes of animals in your art because I’m over in bc so I know some of those species. And since you seem like a nature lover what’s your favourite part about the outdoors?

hey! I love the north west, me and my partner almost moved out there and maybe will someday! but we're actually in Maine. We're both from New England so this is home! I know Maine and the PNW actually have a lot of similarities and I do make specifically PNW themed art sometimes!

My favorite part about the outdoors is that no matter what it is i'm doing there is ALWAYS something new to appreciate outdoors. I saw a pickerel from for only the second time ever last night! Like how cool is that????

the one from my previous post is the smallest moleskin sketchbook with their regular kinda crappy paper. I like it because it's thin and keeps me from being precious with it. But next i'm going to be trying a talens sketchbook for more mixed media practice!
