"smile for the cameras!" - friends to lovers prompts (celebrity edition)
prompt list by @novelbear
being sat next to each other at an awards show and getting caught on live tv giggling like there's no tomorrow.
^ exchanging numbers immediately after that night because of how well they bonded
landing a gig together (music video, acting, modeling), and fans noticing that their chemistry is a bit too strong
hyping the other up to no end when they post pictures of themselves on social media
seeing the other at another event and being in awe at how good they look
agencies tried to push this narrative that the pair were rivals of some sort, but they wish they could really show how much they care for each other publicly
shamelessly recording them like a proud mom when they're shining in their moment on stage
being forced to abide by certain rules that might affect their relationship
matching jewelry causing chaos amongst fans as they speculate what it truly means
^ leading to them cuddling on the couch one night, laughing at all of the crazy rumors people have created
going on a first date and both posting photos in the same location (maybe they'll post with vague, ominous captions to tease)
finding out about fanfictions being made including the two of them, which they read together at their own risk
waking up horrified as they find out pictures of them making out in a parking lot have been spread everywhere overnight
breaking up because they're just way too busy in their careers at the moment
attending their first red carpet as a couple
fans making cute compilations of their interactions because they're so cute
mentioning each other fondly in interviews and speeches

I would hazard a guess it's a bell rope, as in "ask not for whom the bell tolls", because that could well be a church tower's interior and the other ropes hung on the far wall would thus be for the other bells that aren't required in this context (afaik it's usually the tenor bell, the lowest pitched, that's rung for a death).
And OP's tags inform me that this image is Alfred Rethel's "Der Tod als Freund" ("Death as a Friend") so I would assume the poor old man isn't about to get cruelly flung to his doom...
(Incidentally this image is apparently the sequel of sorts to another one Rethel drew, that upset his friends so much he had to draw a friendly Death as something of an apology - his "Death as a Strangler":)

Pinging @latart @tellmetheskyisblue and @stargliders in case you're interested (no pressure!) since you've all previously commented on my writing for this ship (♥️), but open to all input from anyone with an interest. No promises about how much this poll will actually influence what I post next, because I'm still at the mercy of my muses; but I'd love to know what there's most, if any, interest in. Thank you!

somewhere on a long dead forum there's a link that no longer works to a mod to a game nobody plays that would be a valuable contribution to the way people see level design if it got a chance to be seen. somewhere on a website that gets 15 monthly visitors there's a webcomic that woulkd inspire and resonate with you and change your life even in a small way if you could just find it. somewhere theres a music artist that would inspire you for years to come but their work just can't manage to be seen online or off. theres so many things that would change your life that just can't seem to rise to the surface and remain undiscovered and forgotten. or maybe never shared
