Don’t think about Elle desperately trying to self-soothe and stay grounded while she was waiting around for Lee
Don’t think about how of course Elle knew she fucked up but instead of being met with any sort of compassion she was mainly met with anger
Don’t think about how even with the full 4 months, you have to wait until 6 months to see if someone will actually develop PTSD (she did)
Don’t think about how despite his good intentions, Reid trying to soothe her by saying “you won” only confirmed that the others wouldn’t understand
Don’t think about Gideon calling Elle impatient, Elle talking about how seeing rapists walk made her want to explode, how Hotch said that feeling wasn’t that far off from murder
Don’t think about how Elle was genuinely trying so hard for so long and how she deserved so much better than to be the tragedy she is

me and some friends talked abt something similar to this in a server yesterday (love all of u btw /p) and i'm rlly passionate abt the subject so i'm gonna rant abt it here. keep reading thing so i don't clog things up with my yapping
mobility aids and accessibility products are not something that people should be shamed for using. yes, that means even if they're able bodied, or don't "need" them. i'm tired of seeing videos about "de influencing" that just mock accessibility products the entire time. i'm tired of tiktoks that show accessibility products and then seeing the comments are filled with things like "how lazy can you get?!" because if you can't find a reason why you would need it, then it ISN'T FOR YOU. there's this automatic drink dispenser i've seen a lot, where you just screw it onto a jug of juice or something, so when you push the lip of the cup onto a little piece, the water pours out for you. i honestly think it's really cool. but there's so many people saying that you're somehow "lazy" for using it, and it makes me so angry i could scream. just because you don't have any problems pouring yourself a drink, doesn't mean everyone is the same as you. some people might not be able to grip the jug, or lift it up, or take the cap off, or put it back on, or they're shaky and would spill it if they tried. a drink dispenser would be great for people like them, and would make it so they could get juice or something when they wanted instead of having to ask for someone or just get water from a tap. and even if you're completely able bodied or don't have a problem with pouring drinks, it could be helpful to you. i'm chronically ill but i don't have problems with pouring myself things, but i still think having a dispenser like that would be really cool, make things easier, and just be fun to use. you don't have to "need" a product to buy it. you don't need to be disabled to use an accessibility product. if you think it would help you or make you happy in ANY WAY, you DESERVE to be able to use it without anyone mocking you or calling you lazy. there is NO SHAME in using products that make your life easier, and if anyone tells you there is, they aren't worth your time anyway.
"I don't know if I am disabled enough to use a mobility aid, but it has helped me a lot..." Sweetie, if it's helping you it's because you need it, completely able-bodied people don't need mobility aids to live to the fullest. If you can, use these aids, you deserve it.

ive been researching ehlers danlos syndrome for a while now because of the comorbidities (correlations have been seen between it, pots, adhd and autism, which i have all three of) and i also just enjoy researching illnesses, and i noticed that i had most of the symptoms of the hypermobile type, so i started taking note of them. this morning i was talking to my mom about it and showing examples of the symptoms on my own body if possible, and she kept going "wait, that isn't normal?" and turns out we have a ton of the same symptoms, and she also has adhd, probable autism and had something that looked a lot like pots when she was younger. we even have matching atrophic elbow scars we got in very similar ways 😭 i'm gonna ask my doctor about it the next time i have an appointment, and if i do have heds or something similar, i definitely know who i got it from...
