You got what you wanted but you lost what you had...
We both got the careers we wanted but we both lost each other.
In the end I think we lost more than we gained. My heart will always hurt because you were it. But we couldnāt be together because of the world if only you were brave enough to see that all the wealth of the world isnāt worth the price of your soul. So in order to protect me you had to let me go.
This 49/50 episode drama was my latest obsession this summer. Itās a remake of Boys over Flowers, and let me tell you that this drama was not only addicting but itās the first drama were I actually shipped the main actors to be together. This is something that has never happened to me before with any other movie or show. The on and off screen chemistry between Dylan Wang (plays Daoming Si) and Shen yue (plays Shancai) is off the charts. They are quite comfortable with another. Just by watching behind the scene clips I canāt help but not smile whenever these two interact. I really hope they date eventually in their lives!
This drama made me cry so many times itās ridiculous and I truly felt for each character except for one of the pairings in the end that I just kept skipping because I felt like they were irrelevant. What I disliked was the ending like honestly (spoiler alert!!!!!!) I thought Shancai died when she didnāt wake up from that weird hallucinatory dream/ wedding she was having. Like tf is that? Honestly, that needs to be cleared up. Also I disliked how much advertisement there was, and it was not subtle. If you want a new chinese drama to watch I highly recommend it, youāll be hooked after the first episode.
This romance anime just wasnāt for me. It pairs up two of my least favorite kind of characters and created a romance that was boring and cliche. The lead male was incredibly insecure and his girlfriends jealousy always led to him somehow messing up even though he did nothing wrong.
This shojo was unique and indulgent. This is the first anime Iāve watched where there are otaku pairings that understand each other and I can relate to. I loved all the pairings and I hope they make a second season! Although it was fun to watch I wish I could see more of the love between the two and whether she is starting to like him or not.
Quick sketch because just the first line of The Wicked King, Iām already hooked. Iāll color this when I have time, Iām in the middle of exam season :ā)
Quick side note: The Wicked King definitely refers to Jude, right? Because sheās the king by proxy? Iām ready for my girl to go OFF.
I highly recommend this cdrama. I usually never watch chinese dramas but this one was perfect. A lot of people think it follows the plot line of: It started with just a kiss, but I really donāt care this drama was so beautiful I had to read the novel it was based off of. The novel has the same name and their is a free translation online if you want to read it.
The romance between Jen Chiang and Chen Xaoxi is realistic, sweet and one of a kind. If you are looking for your next obsession or something romantic to watch I highly recommend this also it is pretty funny!
