Lilly was dumped and found on the streets of Bakersfield. She has an awful case of mange, it’s not contagious , thank God! She is fine with cats and dogs and is just happy to be taken care of. We know in our hearts that she is going to rescue someone! She will get all the medical attention she needs prior to adoption. We have a long road ahead of us as far as continued vet visits and training to make Sure she is home ready. Donating towards her well being will be so very helpful! And introducing Freedom! The girl we posted about yesterday, the one that also came from the same abusive home as Sam. She arrived very timid and quickly came out of her shell. She is closer to 4.5 months. She is a sharpei and mastiff mix (we are told) . You can see the sadness yet happiness in her eyes to be saved and free into a safe and happy environment. She is good motivated and already has shown what a good listener she will be. She is eager to please. I was able to quickly teach her how to sit and come. At first, she showed fear aggression towards the other puppy in the house but once corrected, she got it immediately and never did it again. That says she is extremely intelligent! She will be an amazing dog and because she is so darn smart, will need some training. With that, we will include 2 training sessions with Jackie Aguilar training (included in her adoption). Sweetie is still available for adoption! She is by far our longest pup in rescue. We rescued her from the wasco hoarding case in June of 2018 when she was only 5 months old. She had the worse social anxiety. We had her in a few foster homes in hopes to help her with people, she’s great with dogs! She has been fostered with Kalina for 6 months now and has come a very long way! She attends daycare 2-3 x a week and every time, she gets better and better! She is potty trained and loves to snuggle. It will take patience as she has to learn to trust you, but, it will be so worth it. She just wants to love.
