I don't think Tribble meant to be cold, she just hasn't figured out how to handle unexpected situations well due to her puppy-mill rescue background. I do admit though, I love it when the dog writes the comic for me.

I trust you’ve heard of Superman? Well, I’m Superdog, also “faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound!” That may be a slight exaggeration but you get the point. I’m bold and fearless and have a big go-getter personality. I enjoy human companionship and am a staff favorite with my caregivers and volunteers. I love to play but after some robust exercise, there’s nothing better than sitting next to someone and relaxing together. My behavior towards other animals is a work in progress. I’m not a fan of most dogs and definitely not of cats and other small animals. While a single-animal home could work best, I wouldn’t rule out cohabitation with the right friendly male dog my size (50-60 lbs) or bigger. Yup, my brother has just taken in a new rescue dog to fill the vacancy left by Fenris. On Day 3 of new rescue dog, a family emergency came up and my brother brought Tribble and “new dog” up.

There is a lot more work that I have to do in preparation for the new rescue's comic debut, but I will post updates on the DLB Twitter as I go. (I may post an update or two along with the weekly updates, but I don't want to bother y'all with my sketches and crap if you just want the comic.)

Remember the dog suffered from so much abuse and cruelty in Talisay City? He was poisoned, his legs were tied until it got swollen, he was hit by a vehicle, and he fell in the hole. He was found lying in the middle of the road waiting to die. He was helpless and hopeless. He was terrified, tired, and in so much pain when we rescued him at Buenretiro Subd. Phase 2 in Talisay City. Buen, as what we named him, had an owner. But the poor dog suffered all alone outside their house, enduring the pain and facing abuse and cruelty of people with so much fear. Buen is a beautiful soul who was one of the saddest cases in Negros Occidental where dogs and cats are being neglected and abandoned by their irresponsible owners. We rescued Buen and brought him straight to @juanveterinarian - Bacolod where he was provided with the medical care and love he needed. Although Buen still bears the scars from his past, all of his wounds have closed and he is focused on moving forward and embracing his new life. Today, Buen is a happy and healthy dog. Buen needs a new forever loving home. Please consider giving him a new leash on life.
