Sydney Story Factory turned five, so with the help of some excellent friends we recorded some pretty excellent podcasts. Go check them out!

I’m not a huge fan of true crime, but this was a nice piece to work on, a little photo collage, a little illustration, a lot of creepiness... thanks ABC Radio for the job!

So happy to be invited to be part of this exhibition, alongside legends like We Buy Your Kids, Black Douglas, and more. This exhibition raised funds for Clover Moore’s reelection campaign, and focused on all the things she does for Sydney that we love. Clover not only works hard to provide fantastic library services to the city, she also donates to Sydney Story Factory through the Lord Mayor’s Trust. Thanks Clover!

Super proud to have worked on the design and message team for Clover Moore’s reelection. Here’s a sticker I designed that you might have seen on volunteers and voters.

Was lucky to be asked by Time Out to draw up some portraits for their Festival of Dangerous Ideas special. Picks of Alexei Sayle, Dee Madigan, and Lee Vinsel.

The funny boys from the Blank Slate Podcast asked me to design a podcast tile for their new effort, a comprehensive look at the life and work at Mike Myers. Why? Not sure. Anyway, here it is.

Here’s a series of portraits I worked on for Girls in Tech Australia. Such a nice opportunity to read up on some super smart women.

Here’s a project I’m very proud to have worked on. Bella is nine years old, and one of our students at Sydney Story Factory. Bella is also autistic, and non verbal, and she communicates by spelling out her thoughts on a letter board. She wrote this 60 page book last year, which includes her experiences learning to communicate after years of living in silence. It also has interviews with other young people who use similar means of communication, as well as a lovely short story about a marine biologist who is afraid of the water. Bella uses the short story to weave in and out of her own experiences, and it really is a beautiful structure to experience her world. Thanks to Bella for letting me design the cover and layout of her work. She’s a hugely talented writer.

SBS hired me to do this range of editorial illustrations, to accompany some online articles on identity, DNA, and race. It was strange to draw sciencey stuff, not having done it in a decade. I felt like a cool teen fraud, all over again! (I’m aware that Eve is not science. I also felt like a fraud when I told SBS I understood the articles that accompanied the illustrations...)

A recent poster for Zedtown, the strange interactive nerf apocalyptic gaming experience I do artwork for. Tried to get a little Romero on this one...

I wrote a history article! Snobs vs slobs in the 19th century, top hats, peacocks, opera and body counts. Check it out when you buy the new issue of Pallet Mag, available at allthingspallet.com

Here’s a piece of design work done for TimeOut magazine and Lynx. Which of these pretty young men have the most popular haircut in which state? I’ll give you a hint, South Australia’s current on-trend do is horrible!

I was asked to design a tile for ABCs Soundproof radio show and podcast, an artistic soundscape and music show. Pretty happy with the result!
