I had an itch and I scratched it I really don't know if I'll do the other colours- I just really wanted to do teal/turquoise

They are exploring distant lands!! I enjoyed scratching this out, I usually don't do group drawings

The Lunarians have at least one Tower in each region to survey the general area, (one for the islands, two for the mainlands, kind of like botw or totk because I'm?? insane.) Since the Lunarians cannot stay on Earth for long periods of time, the Gems formed an Exploration team to monitor each area every century or so, to see how it changes over time.

Leading the charge is Yellow Diamond (They/Them), although they prefer to let the younger gems figure themselves out and intervene when necessary

Blue Zoisite (They/He), wanting any excuse to get off the Home Island joined the team- he's nimble and highly observant, and can cover a lot of ground on their own

Goshenite (She/They) joined the team for confidence building, she's come real far and is more firm and more decisive. They're also very resourceful

Blue Diamond (They/Them), while similar to Bluzo in age, joined quite late- Y.D brought them on so that they weren't entirely unemployed, and it wasn't hard to persuade them since their close friend was on the team already. Blue doesn't like admitting it out loud, but they really enjoy exploring

Citrine (He/Him) is very much the heart of the team, he absolutely adores adventure. He actually begged Blue Diamond to take him with them multiple times until they finally talked to Y.D about it

Tanzanite (They/Them), while being the youngest of the group, usually leads the team meetings, as they're the best at navigation- I forgot to draw it, but they always have a little bag to bring home souvenirs for their friends back home.

Off they gooooo These two are usually always paired up for patrols, as a team they've made up to 21 Gem-Eater kills over the centuries (that's a lot!) Citrine hits harder, but he isn't very precise, so he opts to distract and wear the creature down, he also knows when to play it safe. Meanwhile Onyx strikes with incredible accuracy at the cost of overall damage, and his speed is top-notch- but they are reckless and often risk losing a limb or worse. These two are totally in-sync and are reliable as fighters, but they tend to get into all sorts of trouble together.

I still need to draw the Gem-Eaters, but I keep getting in my own way about it- "realism" and all that I'm also too used to drawing humans and humanoid beings <3

Small Update

Something I realised earlier today- I NEVER WROTE THE GEMS' APPEARANCES IN THE WRITTEN VERSIONS OF THEIR REFERENCE SHEETS!! BIT EMBARRASSED, BUT IT'S BETTER LATE THAN NEVER I SUPPOSE

I will be editing The Big OC post to add detailed/semi-detailed descriptions of all their appearances- Like their faces, their hairstyles, their clothes, etc, I don't want to miss much

I actually really enjoy Onyx (They/He)... my silly Boba Tea guy- They will slaughter invading Gem Eaters one after another no problem, but he will cry if an itty-bitty beetle lands on them

Welcome to Marzbix's Crystal AU!

This is my AU for Houseki no Kuni, which is under almost constant development!! My AU is mostly for my own enjoyment, I made 5 of these OCs long ago and they never really left my brain, I made more, and now here we are! The AU also serves as sneaky art practice, and they've been pretty helpful so far! I love these cringe rock children, this was very fun and entertaining to draw :] The meme-canon is that EVERY SINGLE GEM knows what Five Nights at Freddie's is EXCEPT Blue Diamond, and *no one* will tell them anything about it Regular canon is, sometimes Blue will have these four following them around the school, they see them as a cool older sibling, maybe a cool uncle or grandpa- It bothers Blue a little bit, but they can't be too mad

Just a simple doodle page today, I've hit a bump in my art road, and that's ok I'm quite proud of Opal's expressions- Swaddling is the only thing that seems to deter their bad behaviour because they absolutely hate it- the Mediators have tried giving them disciplinary work but Opal would still find a way to antagonize someone on the job, so they get Time-Out Swaddled Also, Dia being a full-time pop star in this AU, I have an excuse to put him in hyper-cute outfits Also more un-ponytail'd gems!! Wanted to draw more Dioptase bc I love them, they're so silly Also had the urge to design Lapis and Euc, Head Librarian and Head Administrator, guess who wanted who's job (I like making fictional drama between characters <3) Now that I've drawn Lab with her hair down I need to draw the other updo-havers with their hair down- I've doodled Citrine without his headband but I'm not sure that counts, and the drawing of Black Opal was a different design thing- anywho,

I started redoing ALL my OCs' Toyhouse profiles, so that's fun, theyve got playlists and relationship tabs and everything (or they will have when im done ^^;;) ENOUGH CHATTER i hope you like this week's doodles :]

HELO I wanted to do somee mini-interactions, Citrine and Blue are very much the Protagonist and his Bastard Companion respectively (think Link and Linebeck from phantom hourglass), and this specific interaction happens quite often- unreachable ledge? Deploy the quartz, need to ring the bell? Get thrown, idiot!! Citrine is lucky that his senior has good aim Afghanite and Onyx are usually always butting heads, the former being calm, collected, and in control, the latter being the hot-headed wildcard- They both care deeply about fairness, but have very different ideas on what fairness should be I also threw jade in there because Jade is cool and silly AND AND I wanted to introduce another "main" friend group, since all the gems live together, there are many different and overlapping friend groups and I wanna explore them all :] ANYWAY Phos deserves a solid group of friends, I love those funky gem kids- I will draw them actually interacting in the future I'm so very normal about my AU, I will not apologise for rambling about it :]

Winter gems!!! I thought it would be cool if Antarc (He/They) had a little bit of help with winter- sometimes they'll have part-timers here and there, but Aquamarine (She/Her) is the only one that really stuck around. I wanna do a post where I draw all the gems found in a specific season, I think it'd be fun- It'll probably only extend to my OCs though, we'll have to see !

Aquamarine (She/Her pronouns) She's almost as fashion-obsessed as Red Beryl She is the best at mending clothes She likes to keep busy, so she works three jobs Very warm, but can be stern Her style is elegant and a little bit futuristic, she prefers sleek silhouettes.

Red Beryl (She/They pronouns) They change their hairstyle almost everyday Very headstrong She's always thinking about fashion Her style ranges from 'cutesy' to princess-like. Lace, bows, and frills are their go-to.

Emerald (He/They pronouns) He's always doing a little dance while he's working They will be the first to tell you if you're being unreasonable He keeps track of all gem fashion, past and present He gives everyone cut nicknames Their style is a little more eclectic, but he enjoys Lunarian street fashion most of all ------------------------------
