Since a majority of you voted yes, here’s the new blog: @maneskinthoughts
And for those who voted no, too bad. (It’s not going to be like this blog, I promise.)
Alright, I’m signing out on this blog for real this time.
See you all on the new blog.

This blog is now archived. As an anon pointed out (and now that it’s slowly dawned on me), this blog has no longer become fun (for everyone including myself) and it’s mentally draining on everyone, not just me. Plus all the posts are what newcomers would see, as that same anon pointed out. And that wouldn’t be good at all.
So goodbye, for now. (I may or may not start a better, more positive confession blog)

Hi! You don't have to post this. I used to sincerely emjoy the confessions here and there and check this blog from time to time, but I think, and you seem to be starting to realize it, that it has done far more damage to the fandom that it has been fun. It's pretty much all a newcomer sees too in the tags now. And you seem so burned out. I think this may be the easiest way to destroy your love and enjoyment of the band. And to everyone else, it seems like they're addicted to the outrage they know they'll find here.
I feel like it's an unhealthy situation for everyone at this point. I empathize because it did seem like a good idea at first, but the anonymous nature of it just brings out the worst in people, and the eternal rehashing of frankly concerning opinions.
I was against it at first, but now I understand: I do think you should archive it/delete it, mostly for your sake, but also for the sake of the fandom, if you still love the group. It may heal the fandom a little and we may see more original posts about Må in the tag. That, and your mental health will probably thank you.
Sorry if this is out of line. I just feel we're all tired of the nature of the interactions here, you most of all. There's so much hate, so much casual mysoginy, that I don't think this is good for anyone at this point. Magbe, if the things people say can only be said anonymously, they shouldn't be said at all.
I hope you're well! Stay safe, and good luck with whatever it is you choose.
Thanks for your kind words. I’ll probably archive this blog after all and be inactive.
I know you said that I don’t have to post this, but I’ll post it so people will know why I won’t post any more confessions.

Yes, time to end discussion about Giorgia. She is an ex gf now. Damiano clearly moved on and is living his best single life now it seems and everyone else should move on too unless he ever decide to talk about it which I doubt. They avoid personal questions in interviews as they should. And who knows if there will be a song about it or not. Everyone could see what they want in a song. That's how music is.

I get why people are worried about a 5 albums in 5 years deal because they signed with Sony (the default XFactor label) after being on XFactor.
But.
It makes no sense. They signed at the end of 2017 and it's been 5 years since then already. We got 2 albums in that 5 years (to the end of 2022).
They could have signed another contract since then but I find that unlikely because the XFactor deal probably was some predatory minimum 5 album bullshit so won't have elapsed yet, then when they were negotiating with the US label they weren't an unknown act so had a better position for negotiating.
I think it's just more likely that the band are constantly coming up with new ideas for songs and want to keep writing. When you watch the tour videos they're always jamming, so they have new riffs and melodies to explore. They're musicians and them being constantly creative is a good thing if it's coming from an organic place.

The article meant the new single will be included on the next album. Artists don’t add new songs to already released albums, unless they are going to re-release an extended edition of rush or something. That doesn’t mean a new album is coming immediately - we got mammamia a year and a half before we got rush and that was included on it. But it does mean they’ve already started writing and thinking about the next record.

I think the new album will be in a sense like Rush, full of different kinds of music. They wrote them all at the same time and clearly they love experimenting
Maybe

The article announcing the next single didn't say there will be a new album. It said the new single will be added to the album-meaning RUSH!
But Rush is already out…?

People are focusing too much on what the members post or don't post on social media (when it's obvious no one is pressured into anything, you have Ethan whose instagram basically dies every time they're on a break from work and we don't even have a clue where he is and then you have Vic posting her friends, her location etc bc that's what she wants to do) when the real reason for concern is their work schedule. Supermodel was released in May 2022. Two months of a full festival tour followed. Then tour in Japan- Latam and usa for the VMAs in August- September. The loneliest was released in October 2022. It was followed by promo in Europe and then the North American tour in October -December. Rush was released in January 2023. Promo in the USA, then a european tour in February -May. Someone would think that the band would rest after that, take a couple of months off, but no. Italian stadium dates for July, another world tour is announced for September - December 2023 and as we see they spend the majority of their free of gigs days working in the studio. Now apparently there's official confirmation that a new single will be released around september 2023, just in time for their MSG gig. Just 8 months after Rush came out. Which means that another album will be out in the first half of 2024 most likely. Those schedules remind me alarmingly much of the One Direction schedules and I'm NOT saying this as a good thing. The band took 2.5 years to put out Teatro d'ira Vol, I after ibdv and although I'm sure there was some delay because of covid restrictions and quarantine, that's a far more normal amount of time to take to write an album than what is currently happening. One direction had signed a "5 albums in 5 years" deal back in the day and after the band split up horror stories have come out about the kind of pressure these guys were under. Similar thing happened to Little Mix who were also working under this kind of exhausting timetable. I hope eveything will be okay but I'm genuinely worried about Ma.
I’m worried too

I think people have to stop thinking they do everything without a free will. Posting on socials, not posting, saying this and that, having a girlfriend or not. The list is endless. And maybe people should start thinking that they do everything they want to do because they actually want to do them and not in another way ffs.

Oh girl. Vic always posted EVERY aspect and what feels like every second of her life, even her family and everything around it. So I highly doubt she feels like it's just another chore. Ethan posted so much about his private life early on and decided to stop after Eurovision. Out of his own free will, what a shocker. I think people have to understand that they don't want to have every aspect of their life controlled and that includes social media otherwise they would have already gotten someone. They're on one of the biggest labels in the US and in Italy, if they would have seen anything absolutely concerning on their accounts they already would have dealt with it. The more concerning part for me inestead of this stupid social media discussion because as much as you cry about it they will still use it as they please is that it seems like they have signed a 5 albums in 5 years, or 3 albums in 3 years, deal. And I'm a little bit worried what that makes with them and also their creativity.

it feels insane to me that they are already deep into writing a new album after they literally just released a 17 track record barely 6 months ago, they literally never stop working lol. great for us as fans I guess but I hope it doesn’t start to feel like a chore to them rather than a passion
I hope they’re not being overworked.

Can we talk about something else please I’m so bored of this topic. Does anyone have any theories on what kind of song we are getting before the rush tour? Also when do people think the next album is going to be since it seems they are already working on it and have at least some idea of the songs that will be on it based on that article you shared? Like please can we talk about something actually band and music related for a change I know this is a gossip page but still we’ve gone through this specific gossip too many times at this point
Sometimes it feels repetitive to me when people drag out subjects like Damiano and Giorgia’s relationship from the dead. Like beating a dead horse.
Let’s move on.
I think the song they will play could be either a ballad or pop hit (both in English) and the album could come out any time next year.

Also when I said ‘ALL these people’ need better social media management I wasn’t just referring to the band. I was actually mostly referring to the people around them like Giorgia and their friends who likely don’t have much by way of social media advice at all and yet often find themselves embroiled in drama of both their own making and that of random fans of the band. I’m not sure why you immediately jumped to assuming I’m some sort of obsessive fan of Giorgia or her and Damiano’s relationship because that’s absolutely not true. My point was that none of these people who are very much in the public eye now (often just by association), seem to have any kind of social media training or advice at all and it would be better if they did. I’m not hating on them for posting photos of their friends lol

Loads of people complained every time either Giorgia or Damiano posted photos of them together so I don’t really know what you are talking about. I also wasn’t excluding the content they posted together as a couple when I suggested we see too much of their personal lives on their social media. I’m also not suggesting they should have a social media team take full control of their personal accounts, I just think they need knowledgable people around them who can advise them on things because currently their entire management (not just social media wise) seems extremely chaotic and messy.
The whole reason this fandom behaves so ridiculously when there is no content is because they have got used to seeing aspects of these peoples lives that frankly we should never get to see. The more fans see, the more demanding they get and the more entitled they feel to comment on things that are not even slightly our business. Maybe they do genuinely enjoy posting content now but I think it’s naive to deny that a lot of the things they post they only do so because they feel they have to in order to keep fans satisfied, and I think it’s obvious all four of them have had their privacy violated in ways they aren’t totally comfortable with from multiple sources.
There is a reason most celebrities don’t share so much with their fans once they reach må’s level of fame and I genuinely just worry for them over how much of their personal lives we are now exposed to and seem to feel entitled to comment on.
