“Gentle light shone through the transluscent curtains above his head, drawing the lines of his fair figure.”
— a lil' bit of everything, tho mostly svt this days
Currently thinking about how when the government was trying to figure out what Ri Jeong-hyeok was doing in South Korea, and get some dirt on him; the only cctv footage that they could find was him just existing as a gorgeous guy, grabbing balloons, holding doors open for half the population of Seoul, and saving babies from tragedies
The agent in charge of the PowerPoint was so whipped for Jeong-hyeok, and I can’t begin to even to blame him because oh my heart
Just a bro admiring a bro. I live for the wholesome/funny bits in dramas; they give me so much happiness
KDRAMAWOMENSWEEK 2024 (Day 1): city girls/country girls
Are you serious? You have no internet? That makes it even worse. No one knows that I’m in this off-the-grid village. I’m sure the entire country is stirred by my disappearance.

↳ “That woman was quite memorable. Even after that, I wondered if she was doing alright, and if she would do something bad now and then. Because she was my type.” / “I’m saying this because we will never meet again. Your looks are totally my type.”
Crash Landing On You (CLOY) is a rare masterpiece. Words fall short to describe it.
The story, the characters, even the strong & important side characters, the sound tracks (OSTs), the perfect balance of drama, romance (I'll admit it, I wanted romance more), comedy & tragedy, the nostalgic Switzerland back story, and the soulmate-y magic between Capt. Ri and Seri, the direction, the execution, the cinematography, damn everything!! Everything is perfect & beyond appreciation.
I've lost the count of the times I've watched it. I don't always watch it serially, but mostly the episodes/scenes I'm in the mood to watch. It has made me laugh hard holding my stomach as well as cry like a river.
This. Is. The. Best. Kdrama. I've. Seen. Till. Date.
Hey remember when Ri Jeong Hyeok went grocery shopping to stock Yoon Seri's kitchen because he knew she had trouble eating and was worried she would starve herself after he went back to North K?
The way it paralleled the gifts and celebrations Seri set up before she almost left NK... because she wanted him to be happy?
And when he knew she struggled with depression and took sleeping pills to deal with insomnia, so he recorded himself playing the song he wrote for his brother that actually saved her life in Switzerland because it was the best he could do to stay by her side and protect her?
And remember when he spelled out I LOVE YOU YOU SERI with books the way she did? And then he wrote out hundreds of texts ahead of time and sent them on a time delay so that Yoon Seri would get messages for a whole year telling her to eat and go on a walk with him and take care of herself... and then, he scheduled someone to deliver her a potted plant, so they would bloom before the last text... and he made her say 10 nice words to the plant every day just like she made him do to the tomato plant?
And then in the last text, just as the small white flowers were in bloom, he told her he would be trying to find her in Switzerland where the Eidlewiess grows. And then another year at least passes, but he DOES. He finds her the way he always does. And she crash lands (descends) in just the right spot... like she always does.
BECAUSE I REMEMBER IT. AND IM NEVER GETTING OVER IT.
Qi Rong being so beautiful in the donghua is really throwing me off because he's rude and annoying and a total menace but he's also Xie Lian's cousin and looks like him, therefore also beautiful, and the donghua team making him THAT pretty is really distracting me from the gremlin that he is
One thing that really bothers me is the scene where Quan Yizhen goes over to Yin Yu to get his birthday present. And that thing is that everyone who views the scene from a neurotypical lense interprets it wrong.
For autistic people, routine is very important, it's basically how we function, we think in a very structered way.
So imagine this: a classroom always has a certain session where everyone gets to colour in some worksheets as a class activity.
A little autistic kid knows when that session is, so they start preparing their stuff move away their other irrelevant books.
The teacher asks them why they did that and the kid simply responds with "it's worksheet time".
The teacher then tells the kid that they won't be doing that today and then the kid proceeds to get distressed or even have a meltdown because of this sudden change in their schedule.
Now think about how Quan Yizhen used to receive a gift fom Yin Yu every year on his birthday (plus that maybe he didn't even understand or care about the concept of birthdays that much so he only viewed it as a routine).
When he goes over to Yin Yu, and is asked why he's there he simply asks for his gift, not because he's a prick or a dumbass, but it's because he views it as a simple routine an expects it to happen.
Anyway, this is only if we state that Quan Yizhen is Autistic (which honestly I doubt he's neurotypical) so it works in that scenario.
I swear the food is as much a part of the plot as any of the mysteries are..
Also I fucking loved Tang Fan and Sui Zhou’s whole relationship. They went from strangers, to friends to family and then made the leap to lovers, and I loved every second of it.
Healthy communication, a good dose of humour, interesting mysteries and political manoeuvring, The Fourteenth Year of Chenghua delivers it all on a steaming platter.
