Another Average Night on the Marauder
Hunter: Bed time, Omega
Omega *running around with Batcher*: But I'm not tired at all
Hunter: I know, but I'm tired so it's bed time
Wrecker: It's okay, I'll stay up with her
Hunter: No, I know you are going to crash in like five minutes
Omega: Tech doesn't sleep, he'll stay up with me
Hunter: This is not a negotiation
Omega: But...
Echo: Listen to Hunter, Omega. It's bed time
Crosshair: You're only saying that because you're tired
Omega: Crosshair said I could stay up
Hunter and Echo *glare at Crosshair*
Tech: I theorize that her unwillingness to sleep is because of consuming large amounts of chocolate less than an hour ago
Echo: And who fed her that?
*All looking at each other*
Hunter: Omega, who gave you chocolate?
Omega *looking anxiously at Crosshair*: Tech did
Tech: I most certainly did not. I know that chocolate, especially before bed is not optimal for a child's sleep.
Crosshair: Well she said it was you, so you get to stay up and put her to bed when she crashes
Tech *rolling his eyes but knowing he will be up anyway*: Fine
*One hour later*
Omega is crashed on the floor with Batcher as her pillow, Tech is snoring in his pilot seat, Crosshair gently carries Omega to her room so she can sleep comfortably

Average night on the Marauder
Hunter *tucking Omega in*: Goodnight, sleep tight. Don’t let the bed bugs bite.
Tech: Technically, there would be no bed bugs. We just cleaned. Why do you think there are bed bugs?
Crosshair: Goodnight. Sleep tight, don’t let the monsters haunt you.
Wrecker: Monsters?
Omega: What monsters?
Echo *sighs*: There are no bed bugs, there are no monsters. Just go to bed.
Wrecker: But what monsters?
Hunter: No monsters.
Omega: Just bed bugs.
Tech: Again, there should be no bed bugs. Have you seen signs of them?
Echo: All of you go to sleep
*Quiet for a minute*
Wrecker: But why does Batcher always sleep with Crosshair? No fair, I wanna turn
Omega: She sometimes sleeps by me
Wrecker: No fair
Crosshair: She just likes me best
Tech: Technically, it may be because of Crosshair’s unresolved trauma. Dogs tend to know when humans are not alright. Although that may not be a good enough reason because many of us have unresolved issues.
Hunter: Yes, thank you for calling us out Tech, now go to sleep
 *Quiet for another minute*
Omega: I need some water
Wrecker: I have to use the refresher
Tech: It is too hot in here to sleep. What temperature is the ship set at? This is not the optimal sleeping environment
Hunter: Do not touch the thermostat!
Echo: WOULD YOU GO TO SLEEP ALREADY?
Crosshair: Okay, mom.

What mornings are probably like for the bad batch
Crosshair - Still out cold, snoring softly
Tech - Didn’t even sleep at all, sitting in his bunk on his datapad
Omega and Wrecker - Running around with Batcher, making lots of noise
Echo - Cooking breakfast for all the kids and Hunter
Hunter - Woken up from all the noise, cranky and making himself coffee

Omega asking the batch for coffee
Wrecker: Oh yeah, sure. Make me some while you’re at it.
Echo: No you cannot have coffee, but I’ll make you some pancakes, waffles, or french toast, your choice.
Hunter: You can have a taste of mine, but you won’t like it. How about apple juice?
Tech: Most definitely not. Getting addicted to coffee at your age would not be ideal. And I believe that Hunter would not allow it. Although I assume you would not enjoy the taste. Perhaps you should just have some water. I know that Hunter allows you to consume fruit juice. I do not believe he knows how unhealthy that is for you. You should always start the day with a good meal that contains protein. Perhaps ask Echo to make you some eggs.
Crosshair: What did Hunter say? No? Then sure, I’ll make you some.

Waking up early with the Bad Batch
Omega *waking up at 6 am, bouncing down from her bedroom (yes their ship is rebuilt or whatever): Good morning! What are we doing today? Can we do something fun? What’s for breakfast? Can I have some coffee?
Hunter *woken up by Omega*: What? Why are you awake? We went to bed late yesterday, don’t you want to sleep in?
Omega: No, I’m wide awake. Wrecker, wanna play?
Wrecker: Sure, let’s play the wake up Crosshair game.
Crosshair *on his bunk with his eyes closed*: I dare you
Omega: Um…how about the “who can get Tech to look up from his datapad game?”
Echo: I think you should eat some breakfast first. What can I make you?
Wrecker: I want a dozen scrambled eggs.
Omega: Me too
Tech *on his datapad*: I will also take eggs, although not a dozen
Hunter: Eggs sound good. And pancakes.
Omega: And waffles
Wrecker: And french toast
Tech: And oatmeal
Echo:...Make your own breakfast, I’m going back to bed. Except Omega, I’ll make you some eggs and waffles

No but it's...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the way they naturally fall into eachother's roles when the other isn't there.
Tumblr media
the instinctual head-tilt when Crosshair stabilized his rifle on Tech's shoulder, as if they'd done it a thousand times before.
It's the fact that Tech clearly told Phee all about his brother.
It's the sad, fond smile on Crosshair's face when Omega said Tech made her memorize all the plans ("of course he did").
It's the way Tech knew exactly where to look for that mirror.

Bad Batch Vacation
Hunter: As you know, it is Echo, Wrecker, and my turn to pick the vacation spot.
Echo: We have reached a decision. The Batch is going to...
Hunter, Echo, Wrecker: Naboo!
Crosshair, Tech, Omega: No!!!
...
Crosshair *being interviewed later, sitting next to Omega and Tech*: The cutest part is that they think it was their idea
...
Crosshair *earlier that week, coming out of the kitchen*: Would anyone like some Nabooian lasagna?
Wrecker *coming skidding into the kitchen*
...
Omega *doing what Crosshair told her to*: Look at these pictures I made for you!
Hunter: These look kind of like Naboo
...
Tech *scrolling on his datapad*: Look at these native Nabooian flowers
Echo *sighs*: Only Naboo could make something so beautiful

Where the Bad Batch would go on Vacation
Tech
He would want to visit somewhere with lots of nature. With new plants and animals so that he can study them.
He wants to show Omega her first water fall.
He would love to take a safari, but Hunter says no because at least one of his children the batch is bound to wander and end up in a fight with a rhino or something(his bet is on Wrecker, but Tech bets it would be Crosshair)
He chooses hiking trails and spends all day in them.
Wrecker gets poison ivy because Crosshair pushed him. Omega runs ahead all the time and climbs on all the rocks and almost twists her ankle (almost gives Hunter and Echo heart attacks)
Batcher loves it.
Crosshair and Wrecker
Him and Wrecker finally agree on something together. They choose an amusement park. The whole batch wins a bunch of carnival games for Omega. She comes home with a dozen stuffed animals.
Omega loves all the kiddie rides. The whole batch is willing to try all the rides ("Can't be half as bad as Tech's flying").
Omega eats too much cotton candy and popcorn that she gets a stomach ache.
Tech is fascinated by the rides' mechanisms and always asks the employees about them (he gets a bit frustrated when none of them know the answers)
Hunter
He would like to go somewhere calm with nothing dangerous where he can finally get a good night's rest. He would probably choose a cruise - he and Echo can just sit on the poolside and sleep while Omega and Wrecker hit the kid's casinos, Crosshair plays pickleball, Tech goes and bothers the captain because he's "steering the boat in an inefficient way"
Echo
Unbeknownst to anyone, Echo is the ultimate trip planner. He chooses a beach hotel (that allows dogs) with lots of activities for children, a shooting range, pickleball courts (Crosshair has gotten obsessed), lots of museums (Tech drags them all to one for a day). There are sandcastle building contests and the batch wins one day after building Omega her own sand castle (big enough for her to play in).
Echo likes seeing everyone getting along and can relax (Hunter deals with all the arguments, it's Echo's time off)

Day at the Pool with the Bad Batch
Wrecker would go immediately to see what snacks there are.
Echo would refuse to swim, but would be the one carrying all the bags, towels, toys, sunscreen, Batcher on a leash (yes this pool allows therapy dogs). Echo would get his tan on
Tech and Hunter insist that everyone put on sunscreen before they go in the water. Omega rolls her eyes, but Crosshair gives her a look and she knows he won't let her get away without it.
Hunter would do cool flips off the diving board while Crosshair and Wrecker would have competitions to see who could swim the farthest.
Tech would make sure to check the chlorine levels before he steps foot in the water.
Although Omega is a very proficient swimmer (they all learned to swim on Kamino, even her), the boys don't let her out of their sight.
Later on when everyone's tired, but Omega insists they stay because she's not tired yet, they take turns throwing pool toys into the water for her to get. Finally, Omega gets tired out and falls asleep and the batch have to carry her back with them to the ship.

Spoilers Ep. 11
But guys, Hunter left Omega with Crosshair because he's seen how protective Crosshair's been with her since they got back. He thought she would be perfectly safe and Crosshair wouldn't let anything happen to her.
But Crosshair respects Omega and doesn't see her as a child anymore. He sees her as an equal (or at least a member of his squad) and I feel like that's what his whole transformation has been about ("we're letting the kid call the shots"). Look how far he's come. Their whole relationship is built on trusting one another. So of course he respects Omega's decision. Hunter never would have because he's so protective.
And I just know Hunter won't understand Crosshair's choice because Hunter's whole thing is keeping his squad alive and keeping Omega safe and happy. Crosshair's whole thing seems to be letting Omega learn autonomously.
I don't know what's gonna happen next week, but let's hope Echo is back to stop Hunter from killing his brother...

Family Game Night with the Bad Batch
(All of the bad batch - Tech is alive, Echo is there, Crosshair is happy no longer with the empire)
Tech: Let's play trivia
Wrecker: Aw, no you always win at that one
Echo: Well, no strategy games - Hunter and Omega always win those
Omega: Candyland! Candyland!
Crosshair: I am not playing any game called candyland
Echo: How about Monopoly?
Tech: Scrabble
Wrecker: Jenga
Crosshair: Cards Against Humanity
Hunter *pulls out Uno*: If no one can agree we're playing this
*Twenty minutes later*
*Crosshair is holding Wrecker in a choke hold, Tech is trying to separate them, Batcher is barking her head off, Echo and Omega are shouting at them, Hunter looks into the camera like he's on the office*
Hunter: This is why we don't do family game nights

Omega asking the Batch to play a game with her
Hunter
"Sure, just let me finish this mission report."
"Wait, don't you have some studying to do? We can play a game after that."
Tech
"Have you finished your studies?"
"Well if you don't want to attend to your studies, perhaps you can assist me with these repairs."
"No, Echo is not helping me. He has insisted that it is his day off."
Echo
*Woken from his nap*
"It's not very safe to wake any of us up from napping. You saw what happened to Wrecker when he woke Crosshair up yesterday. And while I am not as mentally unstable, I would appreciate some rest on my day off."
"And don't you have 'studies to attend to' as Tech says? If you're looking for something to do, why don't you help Tech with repairs?"
"Hey, Hunter banned the eye roll just last week."
Crosshair
"Are you attempting to get out of studies?"
"I am not blaming you, I am simply asking."
"Then yes, of course I'd like to play a game. How about Simon Says."
"Simon Says go ask Wrecker because he won't remember that you have studies to do."
Wrecker
"Anytime, anywhere. What're we playin'?"

What toy the Batch would buy Omega for her Birthday
(Does she have a birthday??? Whatever - what they would buy her for any occasion because I bet they would buy her presents all the time if they could)
Tech
He would try to buy her a set of books or her own datapad, but would be made fun of by the other members because "that's not a toy"
He would definitely find some sort of chemistry set and quietly observe her playing with it
He's not the type of guy to actually play with it and show her how to play with it, although he wants to step in when she "does it wrong"
He doesn't let Wrecker touch it even though he's intrigued by the chemical reactions
"Independent play and discovery are very important for children's development. I read it in (blah blah blah)"
Hunter
He would totally get her a little play set with dolls
A mini marauder-like ship and five little action figure clones with an extra little girl doll
He would definitely play house with her when he's not taking care of his other children he has the time
One time she got them all into the game and each of the members got to pretend to be the others
Echo
He would buy Omega some fidget toys because he thinks they're cool and will keep her busy
Hunter ends up finding them and showing Omega cool tricks with a yo-yo
Wrecker breaks about half of them
Crosshair sneakily steals one and uses it when he gets anxious
One of the batch sneaks one into Tech's hands when he's talking and he doesn't even notice. He keeps it.
Wrecker
He would buy her an easy-bake oven and "make snacks" and play chef with Omega
Tech boosted up the power so that it could actually cook - "if we have this thing we might as well be able to use it"
Crosshair puts something metal in it and it causes a fire
Hunter bans any sort of cookware that wasn't already built into the ship
Crosshair
He gets her a "build your own weapons kit."
Crosshair: "Don't show Hunter"
Wrecker: "Where'd you even find this?"
Echo: "This isn't for kids"
Tech: "It appears none of us can use it - the box says 'you must be 18 years or older to use'"
Hunter ends up finding it and making himself a weapon out of it
Bonus
Omega insists that Batcher needs her own toys, too
The batch gets Batcher lots of chew toys and fetch toys
Echo insists that Omega's new chore is to clean up the dog toys when Batcher leaves them all over
Tech insists that they do not play fetch in his ship, especially after the so called "fetch incident"

Omega Catching Crosshair Up
Omega: Yeah, then Echo left and we went on this mission and got the Marauder stolen and got stuck in a mine and had to blow our way out after falling down a waterfall and then we found the ship and took down a crime lord and liberated some kids and I almost fell down a mine shaft and...
Crosshair *interrupting*: All of that happened in one episode?
Omega: What?
Crosshair: What?
