Sometimes I'm inclined to take Tarkin seriously and then he goes and says something like "What, this old thing?" about his anxiety-induced redesign of the Imperial uniform or "I like what you've done with the place" to Palpatine by way of greeting. And then refers to Vader as having a "rich, bass voice" and "sonorous breathing." Magnificent nonsense; do more!
