I refrained watching The Legent of Korra for a long time and, honestly, I regret not watching it sooner. I honestly can’t wrap my head around why people hate it so much, because for me it was no different from original ATLA. Same multidimensional characters, breathtaking plot, humour and omg those villains agh! 

I honestly think that most (if not all) of the hate is rooted in misogyny. Ofc I’m not blind to not see the flaws that this show had, but those flaws aren’t making the show bad, it’s still a very, VERY interesting show, people just like to exaggerate things.

So my opinion about Korra- I’m obsessed, go watch it if you haven’t, it’s great. 

Why I find Chrollo Lucilfer more terrifying than most antagonists:

Young Chrollo has a creepy resemblance to Kurapika. Chrollo was driven by the goal of hunting down and killing the people who murdered his childhood friend. But he grew up to be one of the worst criminals of all.

Chrollo is a really confusing and unsettling character to me. Most vilains are portrayed as nothing more than a monster, incapable of feeling empathy for anyone. Or they are simply an insane madman. It would be easier to understand why he does all these abominable things if he was heartless and insane. But he seems very much sane and perfectly in control of his horrible actions. He is shown to care for his friends, he cries when he looses them. Yet, again and again he chooses to rip hundreds of lives apart, knowing exactly how it feels to be on the other end. This is what makes him the most terrifying to me.
