My Thoughts on: NMH3
I'm struggling to put my thoughts on this game into words It's full of Suda's style and has a great soundtrack. Gameplay is fun and it doesn't get old. I did enjoy it but I feel like something was missing. I'm not really sure what that something is but I encourage you to play No More Heroes 3.

I spent the majority of a Saturday afternoon looking for a video game trailer based on a vague recollection. Six hours, multiple trailers, every upcoming games list I could find and a mild headache later I concluded that it must have been the product of a dream I had. Thanks brain for creating a concept and becoming hyperfixated on it.

Thoughts on Metroid 4(Fusion)
So the Metroid Dread announcement got a lot of Metroid fans (including myself) excited. It got me thinking about the first Metroid game I played which was Metroid Fusion on the Game Boy Advance. In my opinion, it was a perfect entry to get into the series.
The areas are well designed and you can get a idea of what it was used for by studying the background. In hindsight, the fact that you have a computer directing and limiting your movement makes sense. You're on government/private property which means whoever's in charge wants you to fix the problem but doesn't want you going on a sightseeing tour in the process. This is further illustrated by the map you're given when you first enter an area. The map appears complete but you'll soon discover that there's more than what's initially shown. These areas are more than likely maintenance areas and restricted areas.
Combat and bosses are pretty good. Every boss has a strategy to defeat then and you'll probably die a decent amount of times trying to figure out attack patterns and weaknesses.
The atmosphere of Fusion is one of it's greatest strengths. I lack words to describe how much I love the tension and dread I experienced playing this game. No matter how many upgrades I aquired during my playthrough, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was something stronger on this station. That feeling made me jumpy and a little more trigger-happy than necessary.
In my humble opinion, Metroid Fusion offers a taste of what could be in Metroid Dread. I can't wait.

So I have a lot of games and announcements I want to talk about, but not enough motivation to cover everything in detail. So here's the quick version:
Things I'm excited for: Metroid Dread, Mario Party Superstars, and Mario Golf.
Things I'm okay with that make other people excited: the rest of E3.
Thing that scare me: The fact that someone thought it was a good idea to let Todd Howard talk about another game. I'm sorry but Todd is known for exaggerating details. I hope that he isn't a sign of ill fortune for people looking forward to Starfield.

Two sessions into the campaign I have determined that the biggest threat to the party is this guy:
Tumblr media
He is a member of the party (druid) and he has done more damage to me than anything else we have fought so far. In game, my character has two unspoken rules regarding this guy. Never stand within 15ft of him and never sleep in the same inn as him.

After my dice rolls last week, I decided to break out the incense and cleanse them. I know it's superstitious bs but it makes me feel better.

After a long calm:
A tale will begin.
An evil will rise.
A fellowship will reform.
Swords shall shatter shields.
Spells will be cast.
Ties will be tested.
Rules will be lawyered.
Snacks will be consumed.
Dice of all shapes and sizes will be rolled.
Tonight, after so long,
We Will Play.

So my Green Cheek Conure does this thing where he goes into a little hideaway spot and starts chattering to himself. It almost sounds like he's chanting curses or something. I just assume it's the result of that one time he attempted to play Deadly Premonition.

Thoughts on The Last Door (Season 1 and 2)
A long time ago (2014), I played the first season of The Last Door on Newgrounds and enjoyed it. Fast forward to 2021 and I spot it in the Nintendo eShop. I buy it, play though season 1 again, and finally play season 2. My opinion is that The Last Door is a fun little horror game with good puzzles and great atmosphere.

I'm holding off on thoughts/questions regarding Resident Evil 8 for a bit so I can get my thoughts on it together. There's a lot to go over.

Currently playing Resident Evil Village.
Potential spoilers ahead!!!!
It's effective at scaring me. I'm not far into it but I have to ask: Why does every other enemy seem to have a personal vendetta against Ethan's hands? Like cutting off his left hand in the last game wasn't enough? At this rate he's going to need to figure out how to use firearms with his feet or something.

I started playing Dead Cells (on the Switch) the week before New Pokemon Snap came out. Let me say, as a person who mainly uses melee over range/magic in almost every game, that there is something magical about the explosive crossbow. I have only used it twice so far. The first time was short due to having the x2 damage buff/debuff and lack of experience. The second time was a fun experience where I was overwhelmed by the power at my command. Enemy at the end of the hall? Press X to destroy. Enemy dashing at you and .5 seconds from smacking you in the face. Press X to think again bud. A enemy with high health about to rain on your parade? Press Y to tell them to back up and press X to tell them to sit down. Undead Archer? Make fun of them until they cry and press X to take their lunch money. This power trip ended with my arrogance leading to my demise via Guardian Knight. If corrupting power was a range weapon, it would be this one.

New Pokemon Snap is good so far. It appears to be almost every thing I ever wanted from Pokemon Snap. I can't wait for the onslaught of memes made from this game.

Question: Why did the newest No More Heroes 3 trailer have the phrase 'Garden of Slaughter' instead of the 'Garden of Madness'? I feel like that's significant in some way because it's Suda51. Any thoughts on this?
