It is so much fun to write Max as a kind character and not as the villain, and it is so much fun figuring out how this story will work!!!
Ooh, it's going to be a while before I upload the first chapter of my new series Changes, where Max is helping a young vampire dealing with a very rough change. (I promise it's going to be so good and fun!)
And I just can't wait for you all to meet Julie! She's 19, loves books, is very (and I mean) very new to the whole vampire thing, and she's just moved in with Max.
That being said - if you want to get to know more about her before I upload the first chapter sometime in the next couple of weeks - send me an ask!

I have a theory (head cannon?) that the only vampire that died in lost boys was Max and that the deaths we saw of the other vampires was a trick performed by David to protect his companions. I went perhaps a little too far in depth with this, but it has been bothering me for years that 4 very powerful vampires were killed within minutes of engaging with young teens. After reading the book, prequel script, and watching the movie too many times, I actually think David and his boys threw the fights to get out of the situation all together, and got the added benefit of Max being killed. Warning, spoilers from the book and prequel script because I'm considering both of them somewhat cannon:
To start, I have to bring up the fact that in the book, David's challenges against Michael to join the gang were considered harmless tricks. The stunts David pulls are things that he can get away with as a vampire that wouldn't actually kill them. Quote from the book: "This was another one of [David's] tricks... something that looked deadly but was nothing more than a simple stunt." David has full control over all the stunts and knows that no harm will come to any of them. Star also calls David a 'magician' with his tricks seeming to be real. And of course, as we saw in the movie David can alter the perception of what someone sees
With that in mind, we start with Marko's death. I don't even want to talk about how Edgar would have to be pretty freaking strong to shove a stake completely through the diaphragm of a humanoid being (including through the front and back layer of his jacket, spine, etc. but whatever). However, Marko's hands appear to be covering his heart. Edgar puts the stake under Marko's hands, below where his heart should be. (heart is marked with the x, yellow is where Edgar shoves the stake)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so while Marko certainly had a pretty bad day, with the lore mentioning it has to go through the heart, he should still be alive, albeit, in a lot of pain
It would be after the boys run from the cave that the vampires are obviously aware that hunters have found their nest. At this point, they would only have two choices: either try and kill the hunters, Michael, Sam, Star, and Laddie, whomst they have close affection with, OR they would have to fake their own deaths. Otherwise there's no way that they can continue living without the hunters and Emersens returning to kill them again.
David likes to plan shit
When they go to the Emersen house, they would have to leave Marko behind at the cave. Since everyone thinks he's dead, they wouldn't have to worry about him being hurt. Then the fights begin, and this is when it starts to get out of character. David is vibing up in the rafters, alone. Dwayne takes on Sam, alone. And Paul takes on the Frogs, alone. But in every other scene that they kill, they are always together. Their deaths are not simultaneous, meaning that they could have taken on everyone together.
Starting with Paul, I mean let's be real. He could have killed those two Frogs at any point in time when he was chasing them. He literally even shoves them. But the plan isn't to kill the Frogs, it's to fake his death. After getting splashed with the holy water, he has a solid few moments to actually do something. And instead, he stands and waits for the dog to tackle him. Seeing that these vampires can literally fly/float there is no reason for him to actually fall into the bathtub. David is still vibing in the rafters and did nothing to stop the dog or to rescue Paul meaning that this was a part of the plan. He would use his ability to create illusions to convince the Frogs Paul fell into the tub and burned alive. It would also be a perfect way to make his body 'disappear'. The explosion of the septic system is extremely unrealistic, and literally I cannot begin to explain how the heck that would work besides someone manually doing it behind the scenes...
Then to Dwayne. Dwayne literally could have easily killed Sam twenty times over. But again, if killing was the plan, it would have been done in seconds. We saw how violent these boys are with their victims. And speaking of Sam, how about that bow, eh? The force behind the bow to literally yeet Dwayne backwards would not have been something Sam could do. It would take a lot of poundage(45ibs I've been told at the bare minimum to kill a deer with a bow at 25 yards, but should really be 60ibs) to physically drive the arrow clear through his body and throw him back into the stereo. And remember, David is in the rafters watching. He's not jumping in to kill Sam. He didn't try and grab Dwayne out of the air. And yet, when on the boardwalk if someone trips his boys on a carousel David loses his mind. Another explosive death, leaving little to no body for clean up...
And then there's David. Now for David, he'd have to take one for the team. And as we learned in the prequel, it has to be wood to kill a vampire through the heart. David tried to kill Vlad with a metal pipe and Vlad literally just pulled himself off it. Spoiler alert, antlers are not made of wood. So Paul and Dwayne are 'dead' and can leave the scene. That means that David needs to finish up. He fights with Michael, Michael clearly being a baby vampire and David having so many years under his belt. But the plan must go on. David sees Michael's plan is to impale him on antlers, and he makes it happen. David plays dead meaning that the three of his companions are safe and he just needs to finish the part before he can return to them.
Tumblr media
As a bonus, Max comes by. The man walks straight up to his 'son' (whether he regards David with parental love or as just a lackey is up to you, but regardless he doesn't seem phased at David being dead) and is like oh damn not my boys being stupid again. Max doesn't look sad or anything when he finds David playing dead.
Max being impaled on the fence post would have been his own fault and David wouldn't have been a part of it. And Max would have to die to release the half vampires from their vampirism meaning that he really did explode.
What happens after that is up to you to decide. Besides David appearing in the comics (which if I recall correctly Edgar says that half the stuff in the comics was fake anyway? My copies are in storage so I cannot cross reference that), the boys disappear and no longer have to deal with Max.
Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.

disturbed by how little ppl acknowledge the secondary health risks of vampire bites. if your vampire lover is drinking your blood you MUST be up to date on your tetanus shot. puncture wounds are at especially high risk for tetanus infections. just because your partner was born in 1312 doesn’t mean you have to die like it.
moreover they should be prepping the bite point with an alcohol wipe.
and while I’m at it, I’ve noticed a blithe disregard for health & safety when it comes to blood pacts. can’t believe I have to say this but you should absolutely NOT be cutting your palm open with the pocket knife from your belt holster (??????)
if you’re expecting to be in a blood pact/oath situation please just pick up some sterile finger lancets from the pharmacy. cannot stress this all enough.

Could I get prompt 7 with a female tourist reader passing through Santa Carla with Marko?👀
7. I am freezing, can I borrow your coat?
Absolutely! I hope you like this, and thanks for requesting!💜
----------------------
In a city like Santa Carla, it was hard to truly stand out. Everyone was their own kind of crazy, and it took a certain something to truly stand out. That's why the town was such a haven for the undead, the unknown, and the unnatural. To stand out, there had to be something unique or special about them - at least for humans. For a vampire, it took less. A certain smell, a certain blood type - or the lack of all of these things.
Maybe that was why Marko had kept an eye on her all night, wondering why his eyes kept being drawn to her. She didn't smell any different than any other women around, she didn't have a rare bloodtype... no, based on scent alone she was just like any other women in the crowd. And yet - he couldn't quite put a finger on it.
I had noticed the stares he gave me, when I joined the crowds. When I went to a small concert at the beach, following the show up with a drink at a bar. Wherever I went, I felt his eyes upon me. And if I was being honest, it unnerved me quite a bit.
When I got out of the bar I saw him staring at me again, little over ten feet away. I took a small breath, deciding that this was it. I walked towards him, head held high, ready to tell him I was done with him being a creep when-
"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry!" An old woman had bumped right into me, holding what could only be described as a bucket that was once filled with ice cold water. I was totally drenched, shivering as the wind picked up. "You must forgive me, dear, I didn't see you-"
"Yeah," I waved her off, "sure. Don't worry about it." I stepped past her, frowning when I realised that the boy that had been staring wasn't there.
As I walked over the boardwalk, searching for the boy - or man, whatever his age was - I couldn't help but shiver. I was still wet, and the wind was only getting stronger. I couldn't stay like this much longer, and I decided to head in to the next restaurant to see if I could order some tea and some soup to warm up.
The only store that was still open is the Chinese restaurant at the corner of the walk, and with a small sigh I pushed the door open. The smell of rice and noodles hit my nose instantly. I went up to the counter, placing my order for a tea and some noodle soup when I saw him.
"You!" I looked at him. "You've been staring at me all night!"
"I have."
I blinked. He didn't even deny it. That was weird, right?
"Why?"
"You're different."
"Why?" I asked it again, sliding in the seat across from him.
"I don't know."
"I don't like being stared at. If I catch you again, I will -"
"You'll what?" He asked, sounding more curious than threatening. I shrugged slightly.
"I don't know, burn your eyes out, or cut them out or something."
He chuckled. "Then I'll make sure you won't catch me."
I glared at him, causing him to grin. He kept looking at me, taking me in.
"You're shivering."
I bit my tongue as I looked at him. He wanted to play all flirty all night? Fine, I could play that game too.
"I am freezing, can I borrow your coat?"
Now it was his turn to be taken aback.
"Bit forward."
"So is staring."
"It's different."
"It's not, though. I was serious about my question, I feel like I'm turning into an icecube here."
He sighed as he took his jacket of, handing it to me.
"I'm Marko."
I smiled as I took the jacket, putting it on. It was large and incredibly warm - I instantly felt better. When he told me his name, I decided I would tell him mine. Maybe we got off on the wrong foot here.
"Am I really that different?" I asked as the waitress brought me my tea and soup.
"It's mainly your attitude. I can't really describe it."
"But it's obvious enough to stare?"
"You looked back, though."
I nodded as I sipped my tea. "I did. Maybe I wanted to know who I was dealing with."
"What would you have done, if you hadn't been doused with water?"
"I'd probably would have yelled at you, called you a creep and depending on your response I might have hit you in the face."
"You had a plan."
I grinned at him, quite enjoying his presence. "Absolutely. Never go anywhere without it."
"So, what's your plan with my coat?"
"Hm," I thought for a moment, eating some bites of my soup, "I'm keeping it hostage."
"You're keeping my coat hostage?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"That way you have a definite reason to pick me up tomorrow evening."
I smiled at him causing him to laugh. Yeah, as unnerving as his staring had been, he was fun. The banter had been proof of that.
"Alright. How about I also drop you off tonight?"
"I wouldn't mind that. But I'm still keeping your jacket."
"I'll take it back tomorrow."
"We'll see," I grinned, placing some bills on the table and standing up. His order was called out, and he led me outside to his bike.
Marko grinned as he felt her arms wrapped tightly around him. He still wasn't sure what she was to him or why, but he knew that he wouldn't kill her. Something about her made it impossible to do so. Besides, he liked her company. As he drove through the streets towards her motel, he couldn't help but feel as if this was all somehow exactly how it was supposed to be.

Aaah thanks so much for reblogging @ria-coolgirl (I also really appreciate you reblogging my other works, I really love it!💜)
Prompts 8 and 14 with Poly lost boys? (If not Poly, I’ll be good with any of them-)
8. Quiet, she has just fallen asleep!
14. Are you alright?
Thank you so much for requesting! I hope you like this!💜
------------------------------------
The house was quiet. Maria had gone off to work at the videostore, and Shelly had gone out to meet with her boyfriend Greg. Normally, I would have put some music on, doing some chores or making some art now that they were gone. But not today. I woke up feeling off. I had hoped that after some breakfast and some coffee, it would be over, but alas, it only got worse. So that's why I found myself lying on the couch, with the remote control of the telly in my hand. I still hadn't put it on, knowing that the sound - no matter how soft it could be - would only worsen the headache I had.
I closed my eyes as I felt another pang of pain flashing through my head. The headache had been there all day, but now it was slowly but surely turning into a splitting headache. I knew I couldn't ignore it any longer and made my way to the kitchen. Somewhere, in one of the cabinets, I was certain I'd have a package with aspirin. I sighed as I entered the kitchen, seeing the dirty dishes piling out of the sink. The remains of our lunch were lying on the kitchen island. It was a mess. Normally, I wouldn't mind cleaning it up, but now, the thought alone made me want to cry. God, I felt sick.
I opened the cupboard, realising that the package I had had been used up by my housemates. The only thing left of it was the empty box. I sighed as I threw it in the bin, deciding that I'd have to go to the drugstore. I got dressed in some comfortable yet more appropriate clothing - I didn't want to go outside in my pyjamas - and put my shoes on. After locating my keys on the dining room table, I headed outside - only to return to put a jacket on. It was surprisingly cold outside.
As I walked down the street, I was a little relieved to realise that the sun was setting already. It meant that my boyfriends would be going to the boardwalk soon. As much as the idea of being in a brightly lit, loud space didn't appeal to me, the idea of being with them and near them did.
The door to the drugstore opened with a soft tinkle as I pushed it open, the bell above the door signalling my presence. It was quiet inside, the only other customer an old lady. I greeted her quietly before searching the aisles for what I needed. I didn't pay attention when I heard the bell ring, nor did I pay attention to the space around me. So, when I found the brand I needed, and made a move to grab it, I bumped into someone.
"Oh my god, I'm so-"
"Shit, you look like shit babe!" I looked up and saw that I had bumped into Marko. I gave him a watery smile.
"I kind of feel like it, I think it hay-fever or something."
Marko nodded, his hand resting on my forehead to check my temperature. "I think it's a bit more than that."
"Fever?"
"Yeah, a bit. Come on," he took the medicine I wanted and walked towards the checkout. "You're staying with us tonight."
"Weren't you going to the boardwalk?"
"You're more important. Santa Carla won't forget who owns the place if we don't show up one night."
I nodded, taking a deep breath. It was suddenly really warm inside. "What were you doing here?"
"Paul's been complaining about a lack of liquorice in the cave."
"He really likes that stuff?"
"Apparently. We can't all be perfect," he paid for the liquorice and the aspirin, also asking for a bottle of water. He grabbed our stuff, opening the door for me. Once we were outside, I stopped walking for a moment, taking some deep breaths.
"Are you alright?"
I shook my head slightly. " 'm feeling a little faint."
"Go and sit down, alright?" He handed me the bottle of water and the aspirin. "Have you eaten today?"
I shrugged as I took a sip. "Wasn't hungry."
"You actually got the liquorice!" I looked up as I saw Paul appearing out of thin air in front of me. "And you got our gir- Jesus, you look like shit."
I nodded, feeling a little less faint than before. I heard the loud rumble of motorcycles, and I knew that Dwayne and David were also here now. I looked up, smiling tiredly as David walked towards me.
"Hey."
"Hey darlin'," he helped me stand up, looking me over as I did. I felt myself tremble a little. Maybe Marko was right, and this was more than allergies. "Let's get you home. Do you think you can hold on?"
I nodded, climbing on the back of his bike, and holding on to him tightly.
"We need some food, see if there's a store open so you can get her some fruit and bread and such."
"Sure thing. Is there anything you'd like?" Paul looked at me, and I shook my head. He nodded, kissing me softly on my forehead before driving off. Marko handed Dwayne the stuff we'd just bought, saying he'd be home shortly. He had to feed. Dwayne drove next to us, both David and him driving slower than usual. I was glad they did, mainly because their usual driving style was close to nauseating. Besides, with them driving slower, the chances of me gliding off were slimmer. I closed my eyes for a bit, a sudden tiredness overwhelming me.
"Don't fall asleep, love."
" 'm not." I mumbled, holding on a little tighter.
"We're almost home, then you can sleep all you want."
Dwayne was true to his word. Less than five minutes later, we stopped at the edge of the cliff leading towards the cave. Without a word, Dwayne lifted me up, carrying me in his arms down the stairs and into the lobby of the sunken hotel.
"Couch or bed?"
"Couch," I said softly, trying to stiffle a yawn, "Don't want to be alone."
"Alright, love."
He carefully laid me down on the couch, taking some pillows from Star's bed to make sure I was comfortable. David brought me the blanket I normally used while staying here, a thick and soft fabric covering the whole thing. I mumbled a soft thank you.
"How long have you been feeling sick?" David asked, crouching down next to me, brushing some hair out of my face.
"Since this morning."
"It's probably just a cold or a flu. Is the aspirin helping?"
"A little, I guess?"
He gave me a soft smile, getting up. I closed my eyes, drifting in and out of consciousness before sleep finally came.
I don't know how much time passed before I woke up, but when I did, I could hear an annoyed Dwayne hiss something at Paul and Marko.
"Quiet, she has just fallen asleep!"
"Ah shit, sorry, babe!" Paul whisper yelled at me, causing me to sleepily open my eyes.
" 's okay," I nodded, looking at them.
"I know you said you didn't want anything from the store, but I also brought you some cookies and chocolate."
I smiled tiredly, wincing as I felt my headache return. "Thank you, hon."
"If you're not feeling better tomorrow, we could give you some blood to speed up the healing process?" Marko offered. I bit my lip, not knowing whether I'd like that or not. I did feel sick, but to drink blood? "Just think about it, alright?"
"Yeah."
He smiled before looking outside. The sky was turning a bright red. He went to the back of the cave, climbing through the liftshaft. Dwayne and Paul followed. I pulled my blanket closer against me, curling up, when I felt a pair of arms lifting me up.
"Hm?"
"We're staying with you today, sweetheart."
" 's nice," I mumbled sleepily, already dosing off as he brought me to the bedroom. I was asleep before I even hit the pillow, my boys surrounding me, making sure I'd be okay.

Life was getting pretty hectic for you. Actually, no. That wasn't right. Life was hell for you.
Responsibilities, personal problems, deteriorating mental health. It was all that and much more. It had gotten to a point where it felt like the weight of the world was on your shoulders. Everything was just hitting you all at once with no sign of a break in sight.
People told you all the time to be grateful for the good things you had. Food in your fridge, clothes on your back, a roof over your head. Some people don't even have that, they'd remind you. Gratitude was something you had made a habit of practicing often.
But that didn't take away from the fact that you were completely burned out. You felt anxious and overwhelmed by everything. If someone were to ask you just the smallest question, you’d get frazzled. This really wasn’t like you, and it was insufferable.
What made it worse was how much you bottled up these feelings. You didn’t want your boys getting worried about you. You spent almost every night with your boyfriend, Paul, and the three other Lost Boys you called your friends. They never had a care in the world. Always feeling adventurous and bold, there was never a dull moment with them.
The last thing you wanted to do was spoil the fun. So you acted like nothing was wrong. Put on a smile and acted as laid back as possible about everything. Meanwhile, your head was full of stress.
You thought you had fooled the others, but little did you know, Paul was the one who noticed something was off. Along with being a total goofball, he was also an empath. He knew whenever someone in the pack was feeling down, and always did his best to cheer him up. The others compared him to a puppy most of the time because he was loyal and loving and very snuggly when someone needed a bit of extra love.
So while the others went out for their hunt together, Paul decided to stick around the cave. You had been pacing back and forth in one of the corners for a while now, chewing your nail and mentally thinking about all the stuff you still hadn’t taken care of. Some errands here, work stuff there, it all added up and you had no idea how to take your mind off of it.
Paul could see it clear as day. He pouted from his spot on the broken fountain. No partner of his should have to struggle with all this.
“Hey sugar,” he called over to you. “You feelin’ alright over there?”
For a brief moment, you were able to snap out of the whirlwind of worries swirling in your head. You put on your best smile, masking the tense feelings you were actually experiencing.
“Y-Yeah, Paulie!” you chirped. “I’m okay! Just taking care of some stuff before we hang out!”
You thought you had done a decent job of hiding your true emotions, but the look on Paul’s face told you the opposite. He frowned back at you, eyebrows turned up and pretty, blue eyes wide with concern as he got up from his spot. Your heart was pounding so hard in your chest that it almost hurt.
“Baby, that’s not true,” he pouted. “I can hear what’s going on in your head, remember?”
Fuck. You actually hadn’t remembered that. The others had promised to keep out of your head with their mind-reading powers, but if you were truly in a bad mood, they took a peak just to see if there was something they could do to help. You wished they didn’t do that. The last thing you wanted was to concern them.
“I can’t even hear any clear thoughts. All I get from your head is nonsense and worries overlapping. It’s almost like your brain is screaming”
It wasn’t a pretty image to think of, but if you were being honest, that was the exact thing going on with you at that moment.
There wasn’t any hiding from a vampire, and as a human with no way to block him out, all you could do was give up. You let your sweet smile fall, the true look of stress painting over your face while your body slumped over. At that point you had been so exhausted, it was starting to affect your physical energy. You were so very tired, and as Paul made his way over to you, he could see that quite easily.
“I…I’m sorry…” you sighed. “I didn’t want to ruin the mood with how I was feeling…”
The vampire moved from his spot and quickly made his way over to you. Always ready to show affection, he held out his arms to pull you in for a big hug. As much as you didn’t like admitting something was wrong, you could never pass up a loving embrace from Paul. You practically melted into his arms, coming undone as he held you and stroked your hair.
After some gentle encouragement, you finally admitted what was going on with you. For several minutes you vented about all the things going on in your life and how stressed you were. It had gotten so bad that your mental struggle was taking a toll on your physical health. You felt sick, had headaches, and could barely focus.
All the while, Paul listened carefully. The others teased him about not being the brightest or being a total goof most of the time, but Paul was a lot wiser than they gave him credit for. He knew to not interrupt your thoughts or disregard your feelings. If anything, he understood them best. You were going through a lot of struggling, and he was going to do whatever he could to help make it better.
“That sounds like a lot to go through, baby,” he cooed, stroking your cheek with his thumb. You hadn’t even realized you started crying during the conversation. “There’s no way I can make all those problems go away…..but I think I know something that’ll help get rid of the stress”
“I appreciate the offer, Paulie, but I’m not in the mood to get high right now,” you smiled softly, leaning into his touch more.
He giggled, amused by your assumption. Rolling up a joint and lounging on the couch was certainly his go-to method for making any stress fade away. But that wasn’t what he had in mind for this particular problem.
“Nah, it’s not that. I have something a little….stronger”
Now you were feeling extra curious. When you tilted your head in confusion, his grin widened. He absolutely adored that look in your eye when something intrigued you.
“Y’know how my brothers and I have the power of hypnosis? Well, we don’t just use it to confuse people or get them to do what we want. We can also use it to relax those we use it on. It kinda…makes them go a bit dumb and woozy, but in like the best way possible”
“Soooo…I’ll just have my brain turned off?” you asked.
“That’s the best way I can describe it. You’ll be totally calm and chill, and it’ll be a really good break for your brain. No more worries freaking you out”
It was quite the offer. On the one hand, you realized how scary it could be to let a vampire have complete control over your mind. In any other situation, you’d be terrified of what could be done to you if you lost control and had no sense of control. But on the other hand, this wasn’t some random monster trying to hurt you. This was Paul. The love of your life. He would do anything to keep you safe.
Looking in his baby blues allowed you to truly see how much he cared. He was so kind to you. Always a sweetheart who wanted the best. Never once did you see a monster when you looked at him. You only saw a piece of your heart.
So you trusted him. With a nod, you silently granted him permission to use his powers on you.
“Okay. Just keep your eyes on me, baby”
Paul placed his hands on either side of your face, carefully holding you as if you were made of glass. So very fragile in his powerful grasp. With your eyes locked on his, you watched as the blue color faded away, the burn of yellow and red taking its place.
It was all so sudden. Your brain did in fact feel like it was turned off.
Without any hesitation, Paul slowly pulled out any negative thoughts going on in your mind. Everything you had been obsessing over for days and weeks became fuzzier until there was nothing left to think about. The fears and the sadness faded away, leaving an overall sensation of calm. Your body itself was physically relaxing too. Every tense spot in your muscles and bones went loose.
“That’s it, sugar. Let me take care of you. No more pesky thoughts in that cute head. Just relax and it’ll all be better~”
A smile stretched across your face as you sunk more into Paul’s grip. You couldn’t even remember what you had been so upset about before. The way he returned the expression told you he felt the same way.
Before you knew it, you were a dopey little version of yourself, feeling giggly and light-headed and extra snuggly. You fell into Paul’s arms, as your legs felt too wobbly to hold you up. He was clearly enjoying this version of you.
“See? Nothing to keep you down anymore, baby. You can just chill and not worry about a thing~”
He scooped you up in his arms, holding you close to his strong chest as he carried you to your room. As long as you were taking the time to get some relaxation, he would make absolutely certain your feet wouldn’t touch the ground.
While he walked, you got a little handsy with him. You giggled playfully as you played with the hair on his chest and nuzzled into the side of his neck, kissing the sensitive spots you knew made him feel frisky. In the hazy cloud of your mind, you still felt the urge to make him feel good too.
But that wasn’t what Paul had in mind. He tutted softly as he set you down on your bed.
“No no, baby. No sex right now,” he shushed you. “I’m not gonna do that while you’re all loopy. You need rest”
The control he had over your mind made it sound like he was speaking to you from a far distance. You heard it, but it was still faded. Still, you understood and nodded, gazing up at him with big doe eyes as he helped pick out comfier clothes. Once you were ready, he peeled back the massive pile of blankets you had accumulated after moving in with the boys.
You immediately started nuzzling against the comfy bed and pillows. It was already a cozy spot for you, but now with your mind calmed down, all the nice sensations felt ten times stronger. You couldn’t stop smiling, and that pleased Paul.
“There we go. All better now. Lemme get in there with you and we can just nap for a while. Sound good, sugar?”
You couldn’t even form words. It was as if you went completely dumb, unable to properly use your voice. All you could do was nod happily, agreeing with the idea of sleeping with Paul by your side. With your arms reaching out to him, he slipped into bed and pulled you close for a hug.
Warm, fuzzy feelings filled your entire body. You could certainly get used to something like this. Letting Paul care for you and turn your brain off when life got to be too much. The way he held you in his arms and stroked you gently made you feel completely safe. Nothing was going to hurt you or keep you down. Not while he was there.
So while you faded into a deep sleep, he whispered his sweet nothings in your ear.
“It’s okay, baby. My little love. Everything’s alright~”
