Kate Winslet said she knows 'at least four' closeted actors who fear for their career if they come out.
"I cannot tell you the number of young actors I know — some well known, some starting out — who are terrified their sexuality will be revealed and that it will stand in the way of their being cast in straight roles," she said. "Now that's f***ed up."
"I'm telling you," she continued. "A well-known actor has just got an American agent and the agent said, 'I understand you are bisexual. I wouldn't publicise that.' I can think of at least four actors absolutely hiding their sexuality. It's painful. Because they fear being found out. And that's what they say. 'I don't want to be found out.'"
As for what's necessary to bring about change, Winslet said, it will take "more people to speak the way I am."

I don't like stereotypes - about wrist and about whatever in appearance or behavior, or in everything that is possible. Another question is who tops? It's homophobic and misogynistic (i can write a lot about this). Just imagine such a question in relation to a mlw couple.
But if someone says it's terrible when a straight guy is called gay… Why? What's so terrible about that?
Or else I saw comments like - Harry was only 16, he was just a child, he didn't understand anything yet. Oh my God, if it was a guy and a girl, everyone would say "Aww, how cute, it's so romantic. They found each other."
Or "they have children, so they are straight"......
I believe that if a person considers himself Larrie, then he/she automatically becomes lgbt ally. Like if you're Larrie it means you're doing something for the community every single day.

I'm new in fandom i didn't know about all what happened in fandom those days. (sorry about my bad English)
All what you talking about larries and Freddie... I just don't know what to bielive. If that's true - that's horrible. And actually i said only good things about Freddie.
There were a lot of hints from the guys themselves that it was a management plan. But the child is never to blame. That is, now lot of who believe that it was a babygate treat Freddie as Louis' child. And I haven't seen a single bad word about him. Are you suggesting that we just forget about babygate, even if it was babygate?
(by the way, I want to say that if there was no babygate, and it was really "just one night" - it doesn't change my attitude at all, and it doesn't deny Larry, and in general - it doesn't change anything. That's just great)))
