Hey, small request, if anyone who follows me owns or has access to scans of the third (and newest) Find Kirby!! book, I would love confirmation of if the Pinball-themed page features the Kirby's Pinball Land cats in it! I've seen a few scans from the book, but none of the pinball page. It'd be helpful for the Kirby Character Project if so :> If you do, please reply or send a dm or ask or something. Thank you!!

Red Drill Ball!

Here's the other Drill Ball variant, the red one! This Red Drill Ball acts the same as the Yellow Drill Ball, with the main difference being that it gives the Sleep ability instead of Hammer. Heavy Mole's fight is an autoscroller, so getting Sleep, an ability that forces Kirby to lie still on the ground for a few seconds, is not very good. It's a funny thing to do to the player, but it's basically only effective once, unless you really mess up. To accompany the Red Drill Balls silly little prank, it wears a gleeful expression in contrast to the Yellow Drill Ball's more simple one. The red coloration also matches up with Heavy Mole's red saw blades, so there's some good color cohesiveness going around.

Yellow Drill Ball!

This little thing is one of two Drill Balls, which are enemies sent out by Heavy Mole during it's boss fight. They're kinda missile shaped, but they're most likely supposed to be some kind of tunnel boring machine, as they're capable of digging right through terrain just like Heavy Mole is! The Drill Balls are Kirby's only method of damaging Heavy Mole if you didn't enter the fight with an ability already. You can spit the Drill Balls out the easy way, or you can inhale them to get an ability! The reason why "Yellow" is being noted in this guy's name is because there's also a Red Drill Ball! They give different Copy Abilities, with this Yellow one giving Hammer. Drill ball doesn't really represent Hammer that well, but Hammer is capable of breaking the terrain in the Heavy Mole fight, so they likely just wanted an excuse to give it to the player. In their original NES sprite, the Yellow Drill Ball had a sorta eye-half-closed look that was similar to Heavy Mole themselves, while in Nightmare in Dream Land their eye is more wide open. Their yellow coloring makes them closely resemble Heavy Mole as well.

Kirby!

The final submission for today, it's Kirby himself! If there's anything you could say about Kirby, it's that he tries his best. As a matter of fact, I'm incredible impressed he was able to get these words somewhat intelligible. I think he was tracing off of Adeleine's, cause he definitely doesn't know what these words mean, but still that's really impressive. And the art is great too!! Artist ability or not, I'm really happy to see him draw. Thank you so much Kirby for the submission :) Glad I got to take a break today... to..day... just one day?? Why did I post all of these in one day??? What was I thinking!!! Well shoot, I guess I gotta get back to working on finishing up Kirby's Adventure soon.... I'll try my best! Ty for the following this project and all my others!! And happy April Fools!!

Elline and Claycia!

Elline here sent in a submission of both her and her best friend Claycia! I was gonna have Claycia do her own submission, but figuring out how to do a Kirby Character Project entry purely out of modeled clay was a bit tough for her... but she's still an artist and deserves to be recognized on this day, so thank you Elline for making up for it! Isn't her art so precious? She drew this in her diary, which makes me happy that I get to have a place in there... truly an honor.

The wicked sorceress herself has submitted a self portrait, how nice(?) of her! Presumably the most experienced of artists submitting today, she seems to experiment with her art styles quite a bit. One thing for sure is that she loves the color purple, so I'm sure she had enough shades in supply for this painting of herself. She has quite a unique take on the project's overlay as well... why is it blinking at me.
