You gave me dandelions.
They took our lawn
by squatters’ rights —
round suns rising
in April, soft moons
blowing away in June.
You gave me lady slippers,
bloodroot, milkweed,
trillium whose secret number
the children you gave me
tell. In the hierarchy
of flowers, the wild
rise on their stems
for naming.
Call them weeds.
I pick them as I
picked you,
for their fierce,
unruly joy.
Brioche went to the vet today for a check up. The vet assistant came in after and asked if we were waiting for him to be returned, but he had just crawled into the back of my coat like a hermit crab.
knitting tutorial made by a twenty-something knitting influencer: 18 min long, 12 of those minutes being the intro and a sponsor plug, they show the first few steps of the tutorial at the slowest speed known to man, they show the most important steps at a neck-break speed, they stop every five seconds to talk about what they just did, 40,000 comments filled with questions ranging from insightful to “how do i knit”, filmed with a camera that costs more than a car, the tutorial is incorrect.
knitting tutorial made by a seventy-something grandmother: two min long, filmed 17 years ago, shows you what you want with the skilled patient hands of a beloved deity, made with the world’s shittiest camera, the best video on the fucking internet, four comments and 30 views, you lose the video and never find it again.

I created this Mayday helmet for @coruscantrhapsody, inspired and guided by @ladyatomic's photo of her really cool finished cross stitch (seriously, go buy her helmet cross stitch patterns!).
Also nothing will ever be funnier than the whole Leverage crew spending the first episode whining about how they work alone and this is a one-time thing ONLY and they DON’T work in a team EVER and then like two days later Nate tries to get rid of them and every single one of them is like “why are you trying to tear this family apart :(”
Thinking about THEM (my fave platonic partner pirate parents) as I make my way through my final proof of Gemini. Can't wait for it to be out in the world!!!
