Any chance this could turn into a full blown fic? 👀😉
So I read @thekatebridgerton amnesia au ( found here) and it kind of gave me an idea.
So staying in the prompt of amnesia let's say Penelope was out doing Lady Whistledown business when her stalker, I mean dear worried friend, Colin followed her. Where upon discovering her secret, an unfourtant accident happened and Colin has hit his head.
With the help of his carriage driver, they get Colin back to his Bloomsbury residence. Where a doctor and his siblings were fetched. Using the chaos to her advantage, Penelope slipped out and back to Mayfair.
Upon awakening, it turns out Colin has amnesia, and he can't remember much of anything well besides one thing. In his current state Colin believes he is engaged to his Penelope. I mean, obviously he is, why else would he write her letters and constantly feel the need to seek her out. Why else are they left alone so much? He wants to see her, almost demands it really.
So Colin stops threatening to leave his bed and actually rest his siblings convince Penelope to play along until his memory comes back. Don't worry Pen you don't have to marry him.
Penelope agrees mainly because she's trying to see if he remembers her secret. She hopes he doesn't.
Those hopes are dashed the first moment they are left alone together because not only does Colin reveal one of his very few memories is that she is Lady Whistledown but he believes he is her Lord Whistledown.
"That is why we have kept the relationship quiet until now, right?" Colin asked her. "Because it started in secret with us doing Whistledown."
Poor Penelope wants to bang her head. But now more than ever she needs to play along. Not only to help her friend but to protect her own secret too.
So Penelope does what she was asked and plays along. "Yes. You help me gather gossip for the column."
Turns out Colin is good at gathering gossip. His charm helping him pull secrets from people without them realizing it. It's good for business.
The downside, though, is that Colin seems to have developed a sixth sense for when Penelope goes on Whistledown runs. He's always there dressed in what Penelope guessed was his traveling clothes from how worn they are.
It's during one of these trips, where they return to St. Bride's Church, that Colin gets his memories back. Not that he's gonna tell Penelope that. Oh no, now that he knows what mischief she gets up to there is no way in hell is he letting her out of his sight ever again. Nope, they will continue this engagement all the way to marriage. She will become Mrs. Bridgerton and he will officially become Lord Whistledown.

I don’t think I’ll survive baking in the UK. The ingredients alone already got me confused.
What is a “self raising” flour? Is it better than flour raised by one or both parents? Is it also called an “orphaned” flour?
And why do they have complicated names for sugar like caster, muscovado, demerara. My sugar comes in colors & brand: brown and white & stevia.
If the ingredients don’t confuse you, wait til you reach the baking instructions.

I’ve 🐝n listening to Vampire by Olivia Rodrigo in loop and now I can’t help but think that it would be great if it’s one of the songs for S3. It could play in the background as Eloise reflects whether she should forgive Pen. It fits the Peneloise conflict especially these lines:

Bridgerton S3’s (un)likely episode titles:
3.1: Out of the Shadows (we all know this)
3.2: Secrets, Lies, and Deceit (I want the Peneloise reunion to happen early in the series, so we can get to the Polin romance immediately. Based on the clips we got from Tudum, I think Colin confronts Pen about his unanswered letters. But the confrontation leaves more questions than answers, so he seeks Eloise’s advice. Eloise confronts Pen to tell her to leave her brother alone - actually to leave ALL BRIDGERTONS. If Whistledown didn’t publish the public declaration, I hope Pen reveals to Eloise what she overheard. They don’t patch things up immediately, but it would be a start. Also, if Ben is S4, we’ll see the fallout of Anthony muscling the Bridgerton name so Ben could get in to prestigious art school)
3.3: Unmasking Lady Whistledown (QC ramps up her search of LW & may even put a bounty on her head. Eloise will still be mad at Pen for the lies & deceit but she doesn’t want her former friend hurt so she helps Pen & discovers the intricate network Pen has weaved to protect her identity. She will try convince Pen to end LW)
3.4: Yours In Friendship, Colin (it would be criminal if we don’t get Writer Colin. I hope we get to see Pen finally opening & reading the letters he sent during his travels. And maybe we get to see Pen break down & mourn the loss of a friendship)
3.5: Something More (Pen finally tells Colin why she hasn’t written back. Colin apologizes. Pen opens up to Colin how she wants to be married this season & how she’s bad with men not named Colin. Colin offers to help & assures her that she’s more than what the ton thinks. Side plot: Ben reflecting that he can be something more than just the Bridgerton name & maybe submits his artworks under a pseudonym)
3.6: Lessons and Feelings (Colin sees Pen acing the lessons he taught her. He sees her comfortable with other men but he starts to feel something else, like an ache in his chest when he sees Pen smiling & flirting with other men)
3.7: Romancing Mr. Bridgerton (maybe Pen gets betrothed & Colin gets mad. Pen decides to publish the last issue of Lady Whistledown & Colin follows her in a carriage 👀)
3.8: Yours Truly, Lord & Lady Whistledown (I don’t think we’ll get the public declaration as written in the book. But I want them to reveal LW’s identity & also Colin gushing about his bride in the same issue. Both Pen & Colin pen the last issue of Lady Whistledown with Colin revealing LW’s identity & declaring his love & devotion. And they sign it as Lord & Lady Whistledown before they take off for their honeymoon)

"Colin, please," she begged.
He smiled, slow and lazy, satisfied and still somehow hungry. "Please what?" he asked.
"Touch me," she whispered.
His index finger slid along her shoulder. "Here?"
She shook her head frantically.
He trailed down the column of her neck. "Am I getting closer?" he murmured.
She nodded, her eyes never leaving her breast.
He found her nipple again, his fingers tracing slow, tantalizing spirals around it, then on it, and all the while she watched, her body growing tighter and tighter.
And all she could hear was her breath, hot and heavy from her lips.
Then—
"Colin!" His name flew from her mouth in a strangled gasp. Surely he couldn't—
His lips closed around her nipple, and before she'd even felt more than the heat him, she pressed her hips shamelessly against his as he pulled her down against him, holding her immobile as he pleasured her.
"Oh, Colin, Colin," she gasped, her hands flying around to his back, pressing desperately into his muscles, wanting nothing other than to hold him and keep him and never let him go.
He yanked at his shirt, pulling it free from the waist of his breeches, and she followed his cue by slipping her hands under the fabric and running them along the hot skin of his back. She'd never touched a man this way; she'd never touched anyone like this, except maybe herself, and even then, it wasn't like she could easily reach her own back.
He groaned when she touched him, then tensed when her fingers skimmed along his skin. Her heart leaped. He liked this; he liked the way she was touching him. She hadn't the least clue what to do with herself, but he liked it just the same.
"You're perfect," he whispered against her skin, his lips blazing a trail back up to the underside of her chin. His mouth claimed hers again, this time with increased fervor, and his hands slid underneath to cup her derriere, squeezing and kneading and pressing her up against his arousal.
"My God, I want you," he gasped, grinding his hips down. "I want to strip you bare and sink into you and never let you go."
Penelope groaned with desire, unable to believe how much pleasure she could feel from mere words. He made her feel wicked, naughty, and oh-so-desirable.
And she never wanted it to end."
