My program coordinator wanted art submissions for a poster to promote the Pre-Animation program at college, so I moved heaven and earth to get this done, and I gotta say, it came out really nice!

Breaking News from the latest Nintendo Direct! The first paid DLC is coming to Splatoon 2 this summer. Players will take on the role of an Octoling for the very first time in this large-scale downloadable content! This full-on single-player adventure spans 80 missions starring Agent 8, a new character who awakens without her memories on a dark subway platform. Navigate this mysterious underground test facility in a desperate battle to reach the surface of Inkopolis. Escape from these twisted depths, and it seems you’ll finally be able to join multiplayer matches as an Octoling! How is this possible!? Does this mean we now need an Octopus Research branch too?

In addition to paid DLC, the Nintendo Direct presentation also included details on a major free update (Version 3.0) coming late April that will bring 100+ new pieces of gear, more stages rolling out throughout spring (Piranha Pit, Camp Triggerfish and Wahoo World) and a new rank (Rank X). Rank X appears to be an extreme rank, even higher than S+.

Hey everybody! I haven’t done a daily drawing challenge since December, so I decided to make one up for March! I call it PokéMarch! I’ll be drawing a different Pokémon each day of the month, starting tomorrow, and using the prompt sheet I made for the challenge.

I want as many people to join me as possible, so if you like Pokémon and wanna improve your art skills, I encourage you to give it a shot! Just post your art with the tag #artofpokemarch2018 on Twitter, Instagram, or Tumblr so others can find it! This should be fun!

Context: We were setting up for a new campaign and doing a “is this an okay comp?” Kind of thing. In the past, everyone else in my group has had some kind of joke character, like Pret Zel the gnome or Walkien Bohnier, half-elf fighter. I had never done one before. It’s good to mention that we do this through Roll20 and discord. I was that last one to introduce my character.

DM: Alright, we’ve got a healer, a DPS caster, and a ranger. Tara, you got a tank up your sleeve?

Me: Yes, I do! I’m going to be playing a human fighter, and, uh, I’ll just type her name in the chat.

I send a message.

DM: … Tara?

Me: Yes Jacob?

DM: DID YOU JUST NAME YOUR CHARACTER FUCK YOU ALL??

Fah Qu’oll, human fighter, joins the party.

I feel like Morrow is a placid horse who, when that Guardian targeted them, just kinda horse-shrugged and galloped away in the flames while Link was like: OH SHIT. The perfect horse for our wonderful panicking Paya.

Link’s horse is the pure white Stallion from the in-game quest and is the descendant of Zelda’s horse. His name is Brenin (Which is welsh for “King” (because I may have moved to England but I am a Welsh girl at heart)) 

In my first playthrough of BOTW I took him with me everywhere once I caught him because I was afraid Zelda wouldn’t live though the ending of the game and was hyper aware of the fact that Link had very few friends and ties to the Hyrule he was trying to save and keeping the horse around felt kind of homely? I love him but not as much as he loves Link. 

Paya’s horse is my favourite from my Master Mode run of the game and his name is Morrow. (Why? I don’t know he just kind of felt like a Morrow) When I made it off the plateau I did a whole bunch of shrines so that once I got to kakariko I could get enough hearts to not die all the time. I caught him SUPER early on by the riverside stable and had to eat a stamina potion to catch him because he’s a stubborn horse and also had 4 stirrups! The moment I tamed him we were both attacked by a guardian and had to run for it and it was really stressful and all of these goddamn trees caught fire and ever since then he’s been BFF master mode pony and no other wild horse has been able to top him.

He’s also the reference model for any horses I can’t figure out how to draw in Zelda’s Diary. Here he is posing and being a good boy who I love.

Anyway, thank you for listening to me talk about fake in-game horses.
