13 years ago today, my completely changed. I was in an auto accident and became a T7 (complete) paraplegic. At that time and even a year later, if someone told me that I would be thriving and loving life...I would've laughed at them. Here I am and thriving, loving life and still an attractive woman.

I personally hate Valentines Day, with a f'ing passion. Rarely have I had someone (since injury) to share the day with. For me, it is just another day. Doesn't matter who or what about her. Just not my game. I do long for the day when I have someone to share holidays with, but so far it isn't happening

Yesterday having taken the train home from work, like I always do. Get to my stop and the lift to ground level is not working. Not a good thing when you're in a wheelchair. Amen to two gentlemen who carried me in my chair up the flight of steps to ground level. Thus saving the day so I could make it home

you can say over and over that disabled people can have sex. but when you think it, make sure you are also thinking of those of us who are visibly disabled. people who cannot move the way bodies "should." people who struggle to speak can still request sex, with AAC, with body language, with what speech we have. people with medical devices implanted in their bodies, housebound and bed bound people. people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. "disabled people can have sex" does not just mean invisibly disabled people, or people who meet able bodied/neurotypical standards of independence

I can't brag enough on how this little tube has changed my life for the better. While small (little bigger than a tube of lipstick) is actually a catheter. As someone with a spinal cord injury, it is how I empty my bladder. I switched to Coloplast Speedicath compact about 2 years ago and the amount of UTI decreased dramatically.
