Yoo! Love your art dude. I’m nowhere near as good as you, but I’d love to be as good as you. As a beginner what would you suggest the best way is to get better? Especially with the the digitals
hey thanks, that's very sweet of u.
Im not sure the best way to get better, it depends on what the goals are for your work. Practicing a lot is usually the way to go.
I personally have not been a great student & have usually compulsively chosen what feels good over what is technically better practice.
As a beginner I copied a lot of comics & manga and tried to produce my own drawings in those styles.
Eventually I started doing more observational drawing and I think this really opened up a lot of possibilities. Developing an eye for observation can be really rewarding, Its a great way to learn structure and experiment with stylization, expression & graphic "storytelling".
Unfortunately im not the best person to ask about digital art. Because of some health issues Ive not made a digital drawing since 2017 or so. Again I usually just did what felt good. I learned digital tools to the extent that they helped me realize my compulsions and beyond that I was very reticent to gain a broader proficiency with those tools.
Aside from that I would say what is most important in general is to find out what u like and practice with it a lot, experiment a lot. Draw things that make u feel good and try to draw them in different ways.
It's your life and your artistic practice and you deserve to feel good in it.
thanks for ur Q!
