I can't wait to grow old with my person. 🥹🥰🤞🏾

I’m so sick of these books
Every White “Feminist” Novel Ever: Being feminist means I get to have affairs and cheat on my husband/date married men to “find myself” right? Yes, that’s what I think it means. I’m totally a like a slave! Except I’m rich and white!! I’m like a black person, but like…a woman…if only there were such a thing as a “black woman…”
Face it people, white female authors can be just as bad as white male authors. I’m lookin’ at you Kate Chopin.  Feminism is intersectional and it shouldn’t just apply to white women. If you write a novel and start comparing your white rich female characters to slaves as a cheap narrative device to squeeze out sympathy from the reader, I’ll slap you.

I only have to phrase it like this bc of the sheer lengths ppl go to to make “Black” an umbrella aesthetic(?) for literally every woman now, but literally imagine being a fully, monoracial, unambiguous Black Woman w brown or dark skin & textured hair in 2024 — constantly defied as to what Black Women actually look like. 😂That is the present. These are the days we’re living in lol.
Following so so so soooooooo much consistent & normalized antiblackness and misogynoir from every non black race of people, every non black race of women, every non black race of men, for centuries. If she Asian w box braids, she can appropriate Blackness & vulture as she pleases. If she white w/ an applied “tan”, she can identify as Black & catfish as Biracial. If she Latina, somehow that’s “brown enough” to be equated to being Black anyhow, so she can say “n*gga”. If she biracial she Black regardless (even in cases where the individual is biracial, but not necessarily half black; have experienced it enough to testify). These are the same groups of women (literally across the board racially) that would have projectile vomited to be associated w anything Black, much less Black femininity, a few short eras ago. And this gives me a massive headache.
The gymnastics, my god.😂 Y’all will validate all that blatant appropriation to be so ready to turn around & silence, steal from, humiliate, gaslight & dehumanize actual Black Women on the basis of what belongs to them racially/culturally, what they’ve coined socially, what they’ve popularized in the face of relentless & unyielding adversity, what is ok to even esteem them for, & esp regarding how humanity has no human respect for us whatsoever. When I say make it make sense what I actually mean is stfu.

This.
It would also be very fucking nice to not have posts about black people venting, and feeling like shit getting more engagement than posts about black people feeling pretty, and being positive and whatnot. Like I need to be able to vent without feeling like my shit is going to be seen by thousands of people who will most likely ignore all of the positive things I say about being black and whatnot.

Also fuck all these Once On a Blue Moon-esque posts of nonblack people talking about how much they “love” black people. (On top of the posts feeling extremely infantilizing and condescending. It’s disgusting. They act like we’re special little puppy dogs. wtf is wrong with yall?)
And to get even more points, they always mention specific black groups that are often ignored, such as alternative black people. And they always LOOOVE mentioning black trans women. As if black trans women are just this fun thing to bring up to look progressive. But then ignore as soon as they need to actually DO something to help black trans people.
Them: “I just mentioned a deeply ignored group! I’m gonna get so many likes and reblogs and praise!”
Also them: *literally mentioned us once and then never again because they don’t actually care, they’re just using us for points. Don’t think I don’t see that shit.*
It’s always the ones that “love black people” the most that be spitting in our faces and calling us dangerous for simply standing up for ourselves and not taking bullshit.
