TW: animal (cat) death and some people death
König to me has a very skewed sense of reality, pain, emotion, and consequences. He’s spent so long being treated like a weapon and so many higher ups have gotten him off the hook, that when he’s told something he did is morally unacceptable, he doesn’t know how to react.
Once at a remote base KorTac was using as a hideout for the operators, he found a cat and took it in. It was sweet and followed him everywhere, sitting on his shoulders and purring.
Someone from up high told him to get rid of it, that the rations were for people not pets. When KorTac saw König’s kitty gone they searched and searched until they found a little mound in the ground.
König had take the order to get rid of it as kill it. He found it one night, twisted it’s head off quick and painless for the cat and buried it. He saw nothing wrong with this and argued the cat would’ve starved and been in pain as it died. Many argued that it would’ve found people in some cabin in the forest somewhere, König shrugged and still didn’t see the problem.
He does this with people. Like some sort of psychotic or sociopathic habits just developed over time. He doesn’t have a sense of value for life of strangers, only people he knows and cares for.
He has laughed at others crying or screaming in pain as he removes fingers or breaks legs. He enjoys using a sledgehammer to explode peoples skulls and will flick off remaining brain matter from the sledge like he’s dusting off a table.
He feels bad about it when it’s pointed out to him and tries to be better, but he just doesnt value life anymore, especially his own.
He’s been shot, blown up, and stabbed all in one mission. He comes back to base and walks to debrief instead of a hospital. He doesn’t feel pain anymore, just pushes through. He goes and goes until he’s out like a light.

Horangi, after retrieving König: yeah, sorry about saying your fear was irrational. Turns out, totally plausible!
König, shaking: YOU THINK SO
König: Thanks to my mother’s extreme parenting I’m scared of getting kidnapped to this day
Horangi: You’re scared of getting kidnapped… you?
König: Yes
Horangi: You do realize how unnecessarily massive you are, right? It would take a whole militia of men to throw you into a van
König: I know it’s a irrational fear-
*a van suddenly pulls up beside them, Price, Ghost, and Gaz jumping out and grabbing König before dragging him into the van. Soap, who is in the driver seat, cackles before speeding off*
Horangi: *stunned silence*
Horangi, into the radio: Uh… the colonel just got kidnapped-

To be fair, I created this monster that I know is a horrible person and I still think he’s pretty hot.
This man has never shown a single sliver of skin and the community still wants to own him. I want to and I’m not ashamed to admit it.
He could snap me in half and I’d thank him.
Heartbreaking gut wrenching ruin your life König headcanons:
Despite his good homelife, he was severely bullied in school and never told his mother
His dad was in the military and died when he was a kid, his mom had to work a lot to provide for him
Their relationship is kinda strained, not because of any disagreements, but because they never spent a lot of time together
His mother worked constantly to provide for him and König appreciated that, so he tried to never bother her with anything unnecessary
She would spend her nights off going to bars for fun and would bring König along. He was always uncomfortable but understood that his mom needed this break. He would ask for the keys and head home.
She would return hours later blind drunk and pass out. He would care for her and didn’t resent for this, though he felt like he should.
He saw his bullying as unnecessary so he didn’t tell her and she felt immense guilt when she found out
They love each other a lot and the times that they were together, they got along and had fun together
His bullies and him are the same age and so they stayed together through the years
They beat him up a lot and his injuries through the years total was 1 broken leg, sprained wrist, 7 broken fingers, 3 broken arms, 2 sprained ankles, lost one tooth, 1 broken nose, and 4 concussions
Spread out over 10 ish years
They’d also mess with his head. For the first few years, the bullies would send in the ‘new guys’ to befriend him then humiliate him
A girl asked to a fair once and when they met there, she dumped food on him and laughed in his face.
It happened twice before he never tried to make anymore friends. Though he always wanted one
Some new kids would try to befriend him but he couldn’t tell if they were genuine or messing with him so he told them to stay away.
They taught him that violence was the only way to communicate and be listened to, giving him the appearance of a quick temper and mean disposition
Once a teen, his gym coach took him to an illegal fighting club and he began to participate. He was very good and learned to fight there.
The coach would praise him when he won and gave him a small cut.
When he lost, the coach would burn him with cigarettes.
He eventually quit so he could leave for the military.
He began to think that if he had to repeat himself more than once, no one really cared about him and he had to make them listen
In reality, he would be willing to repeat something as many times as needed and is very patient, gentle, and forgiving
He was the kind of person he needed growing up
He craved emotional connections and friendships, willing to do anything (even if he knows he doesn’t want to) to stay friends
He wanted to be understood and treated like a person, like he is something precious and worth anything
If he sees someone going through tough times and in need of support or comfort, he will comfort them very well
Whether he talks, hugs, or brings them their favorite treat, or alerts a close friend knowing they would hate having a stranger help them
The kindness was never returned because if König showed that side of himself to anyone, he would punish himself for being weak after
He was like this for his entire time before the military, and the beginning of his career. These habits and kindness were dropped after about six months.
He would spend time in the schools music room with a piano and play. He ended up becoming pretty good and always wanted someone to play for,
but the only time he tried to, the next day, the piano strings were broken and the keys smashed
He stopped playing after that.
He doesn’t care if someone else seems weak or breaks down, but he can’t let himself
Because of his abuse, he has self-harmed and made one attempt on his life
He ended up running to his mother’s work and they cried together in the back alley behind the restaurant she worked at. Him on his knees leaning all the way down to have his head in her stomach and arms around her waist as she stays seated with her back straight
He apologizes for attempting, for lying about the bullying, for not telling her, for not being able to stand up for himself, for crying, for interrupting her work when rent is coming up, for bothering her, for being a failure, bad sons, and existing.
She was let off early and they got ice cream together
He still hates himself for worrying her, but ultimately doesn’t regret going to the restaurant that day.
He was always alone with his thoughts and they never improved after his attempt, not for a long time
König did get his revenge.
At the end of the year, last week of classes after his exams and he had basically graduated. He went after his bullies.
It was after school, he had had enough and grabbed a chair, metal and plastic.
He beat them all with it and they ended up in the hospital. He wasn’t biased either, leader or lackey, they all got beat the same.
The only reason that he got off was because his mother provided hospital records/bills.
He left as soon as he could and only told his mother since he had no other family.
He has told no one in KorTac about his past at all but made some concerning comments.
He was asked if he was bullied once, he said ‘no, it was abuse’ and left it at that.
Whenever he is nervous or scared or doesn’t know how to react emotionally, he will laugh uncontrollably
(I do this too. Saw a friend in elementary school break her arm and run to her dad crying. I had no idea what happened or what to do and started laughing. I apologized obvi and she understood but it wasn’t my finest moment.)
This got him into serious trouble. A lot
He also has a habit of biting his nails, lips, twiddling his fingers behind his back, and pinching himself when nervous.
When he joined the military he was wanted to be a sniper and failed. They wanted a battering ram and they used him so he’s really scarred and then the sniper hood was adopted.
He felt like he never had friends until KorTac. His job was to destroy whatever they wanted and he did it.
Desperate for validation and approval, he would do whatever anyone wanted in a professional sense and never asked questions or talked back
He became well loved by the people above him because of this.
It was a very dehumanizing experience for him since none of the higher ups cared about him and told him as much many times. Though, they did adore him for what he could do for them.
They also taught him not to express emotion except when he was on a mission, though it was more indirectly. They would praise his skills more when he reacted less so violence became he outlet, just like his childhood violence became his language
He crashes hard after, dissociating and his anxiety increases astronomically. Logically he knows this shouldn’t happen but he continues the cycle.
He can’t talk, hardly moves until they arrive back, and closes his eyes so people are less concerned about him not blinking, he trembles a little, and (when on solo missions) tears up.
The other operators at first try to talk to him after to check in but he never responds or looks at them. Just keeps his eyes closed or stares at the floor.
Normally he fidgets, rubbing/moving his hands, bouncing a leg in excitement on the way, but during the crash he goes totally still and quiet.
he did get along quite well with his old squad, but he wasn’t close with them at all. None of them were close, but they were friendly enough
On a mission, his team was sent to infiltrate a compound and none except him made it out. He was covered in blood and the enemies inside were mangled, some beheaded since König didn’t control his strength.
He gained the nickname ‘Bloody King’ after this. His missions became longer and more taxing, in response he became more violent. Always coming back bloody and glaring.
As a child, the horrible temper he developed because of how he was treated would get worse somehow and would frequently beat up people who go after him or talk back at all.
This extreme violence and anger to everything stayed for a long period and he hates himself even more
He became meaner in the field, taunting/laughing his enemies, less patient, and taking a bit too much pride in his handiwork. He was never disrespectful or disobedient, even if the higher ups where the ones he desperately wanted to be angry at
Though, these habits and mannerisms can be seen off the field often too.
He was described as psychotic, sadistic, sociopathic, and demonic. He can become incredibly heartless and cruel in the field. It hasn’t become a problem for his teammates really. But if they are the same or lower rank, just listen and don’t question him, he will make you miserable.
His sadistic/mean streak can show up off the field. If he sees someone hurt themselves on base he will think it’s hilarious, even if the person is severely injured and needs immediate medical attention.
Sometimes he hurts other for fun or to prove a point. He doesn’t control his strength either, he doesn’t care.
Despite this, he is incredibly logical and smart. It may seem like he has no plan, but he does and it ends with him winning. Few times it hasn’t, he can cope/adjust very well
He has the brains to match the muscle and, despite how it seems, he is a pretty good manipulator and is very knowledgeable about
The validation they gave him seemed to great of a thing to lose, even if all he got was ‘good work’
That was usually all he got, never anything more
He was often incredibly stressed out and paranoid because of the meds for his social anxiety and depression. So he hardly slept for a long time
He would go days without sleeep, hallucinating when off the field. It made his everyday life even more difficult especially since the hallucinations were of his old school bullies, so he would take out his fear on others.
Many attempts were made to get different meds or dosages but they required approval from the head of the unit, who would not give his permission since he hated König
It was a known problem so when speaking to König, people had to touch him to let him know they were real but he hated touch so most would quickly poke his hand or arm to catch his attention.
Otherwise he would ignore you, pretending he isn’t hallucinating.
The unit commander was incredibly violent, feeding König’s temper. If someone made a mistake, the commander punished someone else horribly.
König snapped once and murdered him in the field but no one else was there so he was considered KIA.
By the time he joins KorTac, he is cold, sadistic, unfeeling, and cruel. He has little care for others besides their affect on him and on the mission.
He dislikes everyone and has quite the temper on him, that he doesn’t show at first.
He is smart and can be a formidable threat when he feels like causing trouble. He has no issues with hurting others for any reason and will do so without question or complaint.
He has chosen to accept that this is his life and makes no effort to change since he believes nothing can change.

MORE ELDRITCH KÖNIG WITH KORTAC:
(Thank you @artbythedarkside because you reignited this flame, also, credit to them for inspiring some of these)
Since KorTac provides König with bodies to eat, they are technically giving him human sacrifices
A byproduct of this is now König is kind of indebted to KorTac so he stays
But it’s definitely more of, you keep giving me food so I’ll stay and play nice but i won’t hesitate to kill you if a better deal comes along
That being said, he is definitely more loyal to the operators than KorTac itself.
Their relationship with him is odd
Like, they understand he could kill them whenever he wanted but they can’t wrap their heads around it
Like when the sweetest person is suddenly convicted of a crime
He’s the only member to get along with everyone, even if he hasn’t really tried to or had made some major mistakes
They eventually got him to come out of his shell a little and this was through physical affection
Declan would smack his back after a good mission, Stilletto and Fender would pay his shoulder and back, Hutch would grab his hand and pay his arm, Horangi…well he’s weird
Horangi probably helped the most with König’s weird urges (not nsfw hold on)
See, König sees the operators more as cats/pets rather than actual human beings.
Not derogatory or anything, but he thinks that their squishiness is cute and how breakable they are is funny
Like how elephants think of people like people think of dogs
It’s actually why he can come off as socially anxious, he is worry about that but it’s a lot of him reminding himself that he can’t just mess and touch people
He really wants to pet their heads, ruffle their hair, squish their faces and sometimes squeeze them to death
Sometimes he has the urge to snap them in half cause their cute
He thinks this with everyone, anyone and everyone. For some reason the urge is stronger with Ghost and Callisto. Probably because they will fight back the most
Horangi helped a lot by instigating lots of physical affection
Laying in him, leaning on him, CLIMBING on him, petting his head and patting his nonexistent cheeks
König is incredibly protective of what he believes is his and if that is threatened, he will do whatever it takes to protect it
This is especially true with Horangi since they are a thing
Surprisingly, Horangi is the dominant one in the relationship and both have staked a claim on each other
If on base, König will wear a collar under his hood. Not for anything sex related (mostly) but its mostly just satisfying to be the only one to know König is wearing it
Horangi got piercings. Idk what else to say, they’re permanent, beautiful, and make him extra sensitive
Over time Horangi’s body started to change because of their bond and he becomes his summoner skin
Everyone just rolls with it and König thinks it super hot. They have a very healthy stable relationship
That being said, König is INCREDIBLY picky about the people he surrounds himself with.
If he doesn’t like you, you’re done.
At first when he was new, he ignored the assholes because of his rank, but that quickly changed
The Eldritch beings like him are very violent and harsh beings, so when he doesn’t like something he will lash out and hurt you
And be prepared because there is one warning and they are not always that easy to spot.
It is highly unlikely that he will ever act out against any members of KorTac, because they treat him well, when they could treat him badly
That being said, if he is offended he will say so
Despite having to learn about the more subtle nuances of living like a human, he can blend in very well to a stranger
Once you spend time with him, it becomes more clear he is not from wherever he is at that point
For a long time he watched people from his world
He was summoned for a military project that did succeed (he’s still there are serving so…)
But they didn’t give him an any food so he ate some of the workers there
When summoning König, one needs pigs blood to draw the summoning circle, to say the proper words and (most importantly) a human sacrifice(s), eight octopi, and two hearts.
Summoning a creature of König level requires 5 sacrifices and no less.
The whole thing is very tiring for him and leaves him as vulnerable as he can be (which is not very)
When retelling the story of his summons, he was questioned by Zeus if he would ever turn on them
He said ‘I would turn on KorTac easily, you all, not so much.’
His masks are incredibly important for him to keep his shape. His body needs an outlet or some part to be more free, that’s were his masks come in
He can keep a stable fully human shape for 5 hours max but after that he gets super exhausted and things get weird
However, this 5 hours is under extremely controlled circumstances, on a mission he can comfortably do 3 hours
In the case that his masks are ripped, cut, shredded, burned, or damaged in some way that reveals his face, problems occur quickly
The short version, things begin to leak
The void usually kept under control in his hood and balaclava leaks, multiple eyes will look out of the void, sharp teeth and multiple smiles, an eye with multiple irises, his neck will open up and in the middle is his giant mouth.
He also becomes mentally unstable and paranoid.
All in all, not a fun experience for anyone
He can keep his eyes and use his tentacles (like some fanart where he lifts his mask and stares with his tentacles out)
It is just more difficult to eat people and he mostly uses that form for intimidation and not much else

Drowning
Konig jumped off the ledge of a cliff and plunged into the water below. He surfaced but was quickly dragged under by the current.
He could feel hands holding his arms, the struggle to get control, get away, away from there, from them. Even if he could break the grip, the lock to the bathroom stall would delay him too long. A fist in his long hair and the other under his chin forcing his head to look directly above him at the bully looming over him. The light above making his face dark, a demonic looming figure that feeds on misery and pain. His misery and pain. Smiling, always smiling at his misery, showing his teeth and eyes squinted. The eyes watching him with sick delight almost scared him more than that smile. They absorbed him into a dark endless abyss. A void he could never escape.
The figure above him was speaking, to his friends or to him, König doesn’t know. Doesn’t remember, he never could and never wanted to.
He does know that one moment he was looking up and the next his head was underwater.
Konig wasn’t always a king. He started as a boy. A nervous, scared, and scarred boy. Scared of the people at school and the rent at the end of the month that he never knew if his mother could pay. Scared of the loneliness of the next day spent by himself, hiding in corners and empty bathrooms.
His mother always said a good child like him will go far in life, but he didnt believe her then and he still doesn’t now.
All he knows is that the world is cruel and the people in it, far crueler.
He remembers how the end never seemed to come that day, the reprieve never appearing. They lifted his head out of the toilet water and held him there, yelling at him for something. His head hanging low, weighed down by his long soaking wet hair in front of his face. His scalp hurting from where they yanked his head, seeming to enjoy watching him fall onto himself without their grip holding him up.
He almost thought they were finished after two plunges. He had never been more wrong.
Out and in, out and in, over and over again. The cycle never ending, never changing. Plunge, wait, lift, yell, hit, grab, plunge, wait, lift, yell, hit, grab, plunge, wait, wait, wait. Wait… wait…..
König pulls himself out of the water he had jumped in. Finally on dry land, he collapsed and coughed. The water expelling from his lungs as he caught his breath.
After a moment, he sighed and lifted himself back to his feet. Resigned to finding his way back to his team in soaking wet clothes. He lifted the balaclava under his hood over his nose, the fabric no longer suffocating him.
The walk left him to his thoughts, a curse right now.
König remembers waking on the floor of the bathroom, cold and alone. His wet hair over his face and the floor, soaking his hoodie. Remembers thinking how miserable and lonely he was, laying on the floor of a gross bathroom with no one to comfort or hold him in his times of need. He ended up sobbing on the floor, unmoving, for an unknown amount of time. He left school early that day, with his hair soaking and freezing in the cold fall weather.
Oh, how miserable life can be. König no longer has delusions of it getting any better. So, here he will stay, receiving misfortune after misfortune and trudging through them. Waiting for the reprieve that he feels will never come. A breathe of air he will never get.

This hurts but I love it
"and also happens to be a colonel" Colonel Konig, purely because all of his original team mates died in combat and he was the only one left that had the clearance for the position.
Oh my- The angst potential! Konig hating his rank, continuously saying he didn't earn it, he was the only option. Sprinkle in survivor's guilt, his anxiety, and some self-esteem issues and what we have right there is a beautiful story! Could also add Konig not wanting to let others too close because the trauma of losing his team still hurts and he's scared to let anyone in again. Yes he's an old man in this, an old man who never learned to cope with what happened and is just stuck in this cycle of self-hate and isolation.
Oh yes, some good shit right there

PREACH. He’s so cool and a badass!
ok i’m ngl, at this point people genuinely attacking könig for his style and for his rank are starting to sound classist and ableist. it was funny to me at first, but the way people are starting to act about it now is giving me bad vibes. there was a couple posts mentioning how a lot are upset at könig’s rank reveal because they babyfied the fuck out of him and it is very true. i think the babygirl meme is cute, don’t get me wrong. but i notice how everyone did treat könig like he was actually a child in some way, especially for his anxiety disorder. as someone with anxiety let me just say we don’t act fucking childish. könig is a grown man, he’s been in the military since he was 17 years old. maybe it’s the tiktok effect, but i know that it’s been a lot of mainly neurotypicals doing it to him, and let me just say that shit isn’t cute girlie. now back to the classism, i don’t see the issue in him creating most of his gear. ghost creates his own masks, so why is it a problem when it comes to könig? calling kortac ‘‘cheap’’ for having someone like him, saying that he’s not worthy of being a colonel. but isn’t that what being in the military is all about? being a survivalist is one of the most important things, and könig manages that very well. i think some of you need to start doing research before you open your mouths.

MORE MORE MORE KORTAC INSPIRATION HAS HIT LETS GO
Hutch, my man, is a computer genius
However his true power remains long unknown UNTIL a bet comes around
During one of the team game nights, König loses and is forced to reveal a story about a scar not gotten in the field
He shares a long scar running up his forearm and says it’s from a dirt biking accident, mentioning that there may be footage of it somewhere
He doubts anyone actually saw it since it was only aired locally
Hutch says ‘if I find it, can I show it to everyone?’
König responds (he is a little drunk) ‘I bet you can’t find it, but if you do I’ll owe you one favor AND tell you another story of a scar, just you.’
Time passes and people move on. It’s a while before they are all able to have a full team game night together
Before they can start, Hutch gets them all to the rec room, his computer hooked up to the TV
A long video file ready to play as everyone sits down.
‘I win our bet König’ was the only warning everyone got before Hutch started a video of a 15 year old König dirt bike racing in the mountains on old footage.
Clear as day, near the end battling for 1st, a kid nicks König’s bike and he falls off the hill into the deep mud on his arm
Quickly getting back up, he fights for the top spot. In the final stretch, König passes the kid and flips him off
Then proceeds to mock him while on the podium with his still bleeding arm, gesturing that he’s crying then laughs and points
Safe to say a fight broke out and the footage cut off
Hutch was standing there a little to proud of himself, and he does receive his special story
Out of solidarity, he has not looked at anyone’s search history on base.
Hutch, Declan, Oni, Roze, Zeus, and Horangi are great singers and have amazing range
Stilletto, Zero, and Askel should never be allowed to sing and aren’t banned but they will get glares
All of KorTac are a little sadistic in battle, but there is definitely a range.
Surprisingly König, Stiletto, and Oni are at the top of this list. Callisto is the only one who will force them to stop.
Oni can, will, and has cut off arms with his katanas just to leave them to bleed out
König likes to use a sledgehammer when available, he swings so it hits the enemy’s head but there is usually a wall of floor to meet them.
He has a biting problem too. If you put your hand on or near his mouth he will bite you through the mask if need be, fingers have been lost and König thinks it’s hilarious.
All of them carry a spare balaclava in case comeones is ripped, most often Horangi’s or König’s.
Some of them take medication for many things
Most for PTSD and depression, König for those and anxiety and insomnia (caused by his anxiety and depression)
The man is bad WITH his medication, without it he is so much worse. As an unmedicated kid who needed meds, he would hardly leave his room and would panic attack upon returning
The days that he misses, he locks himself in his room and cries all day
Though one of the lesser religious of the group, Klaus embodies the Christmas spirit the most
Though, he acts more like a demented Santa
Singing carols with twisted lyrics as he completes his missions, finishing with a ‘ho ho ho, and have a merry Christmas in hell’
He gained an affectionate nickname of ‘Krampus’ given to him by Fender and König who grew up with it.
It was not out of kindness or humor that they gave him this name like everyone believes.
To strengthen his bond with the name, he researched several different traditions over many countries with the creature and began to terrorize them all.
Fender and König were terrorized the most and their childhood trauma/fear was used against them.
Declan found this especially funny. You could tell Klaus just pranked them is Declan was seen with tears in his eyes.
Eventually, Fender and König call him Krampus throughout the year, while the rest stick to just Christmas time.
Zeus, although very polite, can be incredibly judgemental.
If someone eats something he deems as disgusting, he’ll scrunch up his face and give this horrified look.
This look has spared no one and made several people cry.
The reveal of König as a Colonel had shaken everyone. Apparently Zero was the only one who guessed right but was under the impression König had no idea how he got there
Which, to be fair, is kinda true

Eldritch König with KorTac:
Declan was very interested in how he eats and spits people up
König makes it a point to not do it in front of them, he doesn’t want to risk them seeing his face which will kill them
Declan got Horangi, Klaus, Stilletto, Roze, and Oni (mildly) bug him about it
König gives in after an all hands on deck mission that requires proof of death
He tells everyone that they may come but can’t bother him anymore after this and he won’t offer again
He sighs when everyone follows him, even the people who really didn’t care
Everyone shuffles into a cold room with several examination tables set out for the bodies
König stands at the head of them and everyone at the foot, Declan and Horangi are very excited
König sighs, ‘don’t look at my face, you’re brains will melt out through your ears’
He steps to the head of a table, lifts he veil just off his chest, and out sloshes a body onto the table
Rinse and repeat
König then leaves for the storage room, not really caring if they follow
He enters the room and sees several of the lockers tagged for him to eat from
They line the wall behind him, waiting for him
“Last chance to back out.”
When no one leaves, he shrugs and lifts his veil again, a bit farther from his chest
Tentacles reach out for a locker door, unlatching it enough to slither inside and pull out the slab holding the body
They slowly explore the body, wrapping themselves around limbs, torso, and neck, looking almost gentle. It’s slow, calm, and deliberate, testing the waters. Both his friends limits and the strength of the body
In one moment, the tentacles constrict and drag the body under the veil.
König stands there, and if waiting for something, the lights flicker once. Then the tentacles appear again
Each reaching for a separate locker, unlatching the door and slipping in fast, they yank the slabs out causing the door to slam against the wall
The sound of the tentacles sliding against the metal sends shivers down their spines.
The moment the slabs are fully extended, the tentacles wrapped themselves around the bodies torso and tighten. At the same time, they’re dragged under his veil.
All of this took less than half the amount of time it took for him to eat the first one.
König let’s his veil fall to his chest and turns around, checking on his friends. He notes their shock but seem unharmed and so he leaves
He sees them later in the mess hall for dinner and Declan just laughs and pats his shoulder
Apparently they mostly thought it was cool, very disturbing and unnerving, but cool
König got a break for a week then the questions started coming, he should’ve anticipated this
‘Can you eat other food besides people?’ ‘You’ve seen me do it!’ ‘Do you actually feel the veil on your face or is it like looking through a window.’ ‘Feel it when my face is there.’ ‘What do people taste like.’
König didn’t respond to that last one
Turns out Horangi was a little too into the power trip König had and now they’re a thing.
König kinda sees KorTac as ‘his’. Like a dragon and it’s hoard but a bit less ‘I own you’ and more of ‘I will protect you.’
It’s more healthy than that but that’s the gist of it.

Eldritch König Headcanons:
König is chill most of the time, but occasionally he’ll freak everyone out
As Hutch once mentioned ‘it becomes really obvious that he’s here because he wants to be, and only because he wants to be.’
Yes, he eats people and he isn’t afraid to say it
He just eats them whole, tentacles come out and under the veil they go
When he eats, his eyes/face go away. Under the veil becomes a void and pitch black
Looking at him while eating (with the veil on) is dangerous but not deadly. Just don’t look too long because it can be mentally debilitating
The void will stare back, the veil prevents the full force
Yes, he has an actual face. It doesn’t hurt to look at him but it can be a little unnerving so don’t stare too long
This isn’t his real face obviously, but it still makes him uncomfortable when it is showing
With the veil on, he only forms the eyes and shape of the rest
He can spit up whole bodies if he has to, and he can ‘bring them back to life’ after he spits them up
Those who survive are never the same and have horrific nightmares/night terrors, but that’s usually it
It’s when people start to not sleep to avoid them does it become an issue
His body, like his face, is odd and can be unnerving
It doesn’t look unnatural until you start looking at the structure of his body
His wrists turn a little to far and bend a little to much, the bones in his hand don’t shift right especially when he grips something hard
His skin is too pale, eyes to vibrant, his breathe smells like nectar constantly (unless he’s about to spit up someone, then it smells like rotting flesh), his neck turns too much, and his hearing too sharp
He can change how he looks, so sometimes to mess with people he’ll change his eye color.
He can’t change his height, that’s the only size that works
Don’t. Make. Him. Angry.
He’ll tilt his head up and stare down, the lights flicker and windows/glasses will crack. His eyes shift from blue to red and the whites go black or just straight black if he plans on eating you
His tentacles are black, very slimy, and incredibly strong. One is able to lift a 200 pound man easy
If someone escapes his tentacles, König is actually playing with them. It’s a nasty habit and often occurs after he hasn’t let loose in awhile.
Sometimes König will shift in his seat and sometimes it looks like his skin is shifting or something underneath is moving without him doing anything

Love it
More Kortac:
König gets along really well with Askel and Klaus for obvious reasons. If any of them heads home, they’ll bring back the good beer and treats that they all know
Everyone will eat whatever is in the fridge, nothing is safe. Maybe if it has a not from a family member will some of them leave it alone. But that is no guarantee.
Horangi, in an attempt to ‘chill Oni out’, slipped marijuana drops into his tea and got him high as hell.
Oni laid on the common room couch for 6 hours without moving and said the weirdest shit.
Horangi was there the whole time and loved every moment, unfortunately, some others didn’t agree
Declan, Stilletto, Askel, Klaus, and Horangi openly laughed while Calisto and Zero were the only ones who didn’t find it funny at all
Oni quickly got Horangi back by replacing some of his nice kimchi with weird cheap stuff he found for online. He mixed it together to blend the flavors
At dinner that night, Horangi got half way through before leaving to throw up. Oni laughed the whole time
Horangi quickly returned to dinner and tackled him over the table, attempting my to shove some of the bad kimchi down his throat.
The yelling foreign languages at each other was funny. Mostly since it was Oni mocking Horangi and Horangi yelling rather than vice versa.
Horangi has seen everyone’s face, mostly because he doesn’t knock and has weird hours
This includes Ghost, even if they only worked together for a week
Fender is the only one who’s seen almost everyone’s face because they showed it to him willingly, König will wear a medical mask but won’t show his face
The medics know a lot of secrets about everyone, not important ones though, very stupid ones
Know Roze stole a loaf of bread from her family’s kitchen when she was 8 and felt bad so she tossed it in a lake
Know Zero once a had a crush on a middle school girl when he was in elementary and tried hard to get her attention but failed miserably
They won’t tell anyone because of Patient-Client Confidentiality and consequently become the secret keepers of the group
König only one who has seen Fender’s face.
KorTac tries to have dinner together and push the tables into a square, it’s really fun and they have game night (without gambling)
König has the highest tolerance and is has never gotten past drunk before.
He doesn’t really get drunk, he just gets wobbly and that’s all. No one knew the first time til he tried to get up and immediately tripped over his own feet, stayed on the floor and groaned, saying ‘damn, drank to much’
No one could remember how much he drank that night.
Everyone once saw him have like 14 beers (he has his own stash from home that’s strong and no one else likes) and said he felt tipsy and didn’t know his limit
Declan and Oni come in close second and Declan will brag about this to anyone who listens
Stilletto and Horangi are third but they don’t really care. Calisto, Zero, and Gromsko are the same way but have a lower tolerance
Zeus is really bad at drinking games and refuses to play, so they don’t really know his limit
He has admitted to being in the third place group, much to Declan’s amusement
Hutch has hacked into devices with weird search history’s. He doesn’t talk about it but if drunk enough he will tell some of the weirder non sexual ones.
Though, there are a few he will never speak of because thinking about them makes him shiver.

Yesssssssss
Kortac Headcanons:
They all have a secret handshake
Just seems like it, it can be adapted to fit all of them at once
It’s actually quite impressive to watch
Food shall be stolen, it doesn’t belong to you
Unless it says your name and that it’s from a family member will they leave it alone (most of the time, Oni steals sometimes)
They all get along pretty well, but some of them don’t share anything about their past at all
König, Oni, and Fender are perfect examples of this. You will not know anything and they will not share
Sometimes though they answer super vague to mess with people
All of them learn some of each others language, not great at all but know ‘thanks’, yes, no, and a few curse words.
Everyone agrees Arabic is super difficult and makes no sense
(My dad is Arab and I tried to learn it. You want to make a word plural? Ok, there are 16 different ways to do it and no rules to know when to use it. Memorize the plural and singular and that’s it. It’s bs.)
(Also, you leanr standard but no one speaks that, they speak slang and it’s horrible. But I do know some)
Sometimes care packages from family will show up for some of them. It’s often books, foods specific to that region, and photos of family/important moments.
König had a sister who’s a ballerina and she’s amazing.
Callisto and Stiletto met her once and they hit it off. Two badass mentors yes please.
There was definitely vulture shock on all fronts. Something harmless to everyone would greatly offend one specific person.
There were a lot of presentations about office etiquette in the first months.
Oni and Horangi hate each other and do not try to get along. But if you make fun of Asian Countries or are like ‘all Asians look the same’ they will become a force to be reckoned with.
