Still got a ways to go, but I’m so proud of how far I’ve come 😮‍💨. It’s been a struggle postpartum, way harder than I thought it would be, but I’m finally getting my head out the water and getting back to it. Finding a routine, balancing being a new full time mom, working, working out, eating healthy, and healing has not been easy to put it lightly lol. But I’m finally finding my footing. So if I can do it, anyone can do it literally. I’m not where I started, but I can’t wait to see where I end up. I have a feeling it’s gonna be better than before 😉. If you’re a new mom and you’re struggling, hang in there; you’ll find what works for you. I know it can seem like no matter what you do, your body is constantly rebelling. But trust the process and be patient. As long as you keep showing up consistently, you’ll never fail. 🫶🏽

a lil note from myself 6 years ago… crazy how far I’ve come. Just goes to show what can happen when you don’t give up and show up everyday for yourself. I didn’t even think I could get in shape, and I didn’t know if it was gonna work at the time. Thank God 20 year old Quila did not give up. And neither will 26 year old Quila! This is your sign that everything is falling in place, and you are exactly where you’re supposed to be 🫶🏽
today was a reset and research day, I didn’t track my food. Just enjoyed my day and prepared for tomorrow. I will post a detox water recipe tomorrow so we can all get off to the right start this week!

had a pretty busy day today, so I didn’t really eat as much as I should’ve. Which sucks cause it’s my high carb day 😩😩. Anyways for breakfast, I had a protein pancake and a serving of fully cooked bacon. Quick and easy, on the go. Usually I’ll have wayyy more carbs on a high carb day, but I didn’t have time. I didn’t eat lunch, just a snack (keto barbecue chips). I don’t recommend this, I only did it because I was on the go all day and didn’t wanna get fast food. Normally if I plan to be out all day, I’ll pack my lunch. And lastly for dinner, I had Publix baked chicken wings with air fried sweet potato fries. And a Reese’s dark chocolate thin pb cup for dessert. Easy and simple. Lazy girl approved. I need to start focusing on reaching macros. I definitely didn’t eat enough today, so tomorrow I’m gonna work on that. More water, less stress are my goals. Gym first thing in the am; I’ve been off for the last few days. Starting to feel anxiety from being away too long. How are you guys feeling today??

Low-Carb Dinner and Dessert 🥗🍫
Okay so for dinner I got lazy of course (most of my meals will be lol.. and cheap) and used meal prepped ground beef and made a burger bowl with lettuce, avocado, cheese, mayo, light ranch, olive oil and apple cider vinegar vinaigrette, and mini sweet peppers. 😋 it was delicious and quick! I’m not sure of the total macros, I usually eyeball things. But it is under 50g of carbs.
For Dessert I got a lil creative and made a dark chocolate Reese’s Greek yogurt parfait 😋😋
Sooo how is this low carb you ask??
-I used one ☝️ Reese’s Dark chocolate thin peanut butter cup and crushed it up (~6 net carbs)
-a serving size of plain Greek yogurt (greaaaaat source of protein) (7g of carbs)
-one tablespoon of melted peanut butter (3.5g carbs)
-a half an ounce of pecans (maybe less) (1g carb)
A total of 17.5 net carbs for a healthy, delicious treat that feels like a guilty pleasure 🤤🤤
And that’s all I ate today! I might make some more yogurt if I get hungry later.
Notice I don’t count calories, I’m just focusing on fueling my body when it needs it and making sure I’m full and satiated.

Breakfast
Today is a new day for me. I'm doing things I've put off for the longest. I'm finally starting to research how to properly eat for my body instead of just winging it or following weight loss meal inspos on insta. So today is my day one for nutrition control. I'm doing this thing where I'll be doing one high carb day and then a low carb day and vice versa. I'll probably try it for a couple of months to see if it makes a difference and continue if it does. Hopefully this will help finally solve my nutrition problem! So my low carb breakfast for today is a low-carb breakfast burrito:
2 whole scrambled eggs with cheese (I eyeballed it)
3 slices of pre-cooked (I'm lazy) bacon
half an avocado
low carb tortilla wrap
16 oz of water to drink
net carbs: less than 5g
goal for next breakfast: increase my protein intake

I started off over 245 pounds during pregnancy, and I am trying to get back down to 145 pounds. My current weight is around 177 pounds.
