I bought a small bouquet of sweet pea flowers from one of the farms near my house and I needed to paint them! They were so beautiful; I'm sure I didn't do them justice.
I felt watercolours would suit the subject best (and some gold stripes in ink that didn't come out very well)

Aphantasia Challenge! Zero references. A random prompt generator gave me the word 'screwdriver' so I drew that in 5 different styles.
Styles featured: my first generic drawing in blue; plain crosshatching on the left; cubism at the bottom; a cute cartoon in the middle on the right; and pop art in the upper right.

My mum is a big fan of red pandas so I thought I'd paint her a watercolour of some cute red pandas with a mother's day theme to it.
I hope you all enjoy your mother's day (UK! You're safe, America) :)

The Lamborghini Gallardo was in production from 2003 to 2013 and this model in particular, the LP 560-4, was the second generation with production starting in 2008. Despite having a more powerful engine, the LP 560-4's fuel consumption is reduced by 18% in comparison to its predecessor. My dad had the opportunity to drive one recently, so I tagged along and managed to get a good number of reference pictures.

Calendula officinalis, also known as common marigolds or pot marigolds. These are technically perenniel plants, but in colder climates they're likely to die off over the winter. Luckily they are exceptionally beginner friendly and will reseed themselves without intervention so they'll almost definitely be blooming again year after year.
They tend to flower very heavily and produce a large amount of nectar sugars, making them ideal for attracting pollinators and insects.
I have quite a few in the front garden that I tend to take photos of every year, and now I've finally turned one into a drawing using coloured pencils.

Patterdale terriers are small, hardy dogs whose origins lie in the United Kingdom, where they were bred to hunt rodents and foxes around the great many fells around northern England and Scotland. I used a photo of my patterdale, Arwen, from when she was still a puppy as reference for this piece. It's amazing to see how much she's grown in just a year!

The humble tomato plant, Solanum lycopersicum. Botanically considered a berry, cularinarily considered a vegetable, tomatoes are one of the 9 members of the nightshade family that are safe to eat.
There are over 10,000 different tomato cultivars today, in a wide array of shapes, colours, and sizes. In 2019 I tried to grow some called tigerella, and they came out so beautifully I just had to take a picture before they were eaten. Years later, I've finally turned that photo into a coloured pencil drawing.

Ganzania rigens, the treasure flower, is a heavy flowering perennial native to Africa's southern coast. It has been naturalised in various other parts of the world, and is considered an invasive species in Australia. This is yet another flower that my aunt had growing in her garden.

For this piece, I fed an AI art generator a description of one of my previous drawings, refined my favourite result, and then used that picture as inspiration for a new drawing. Human and machine, in harmony!

Pink China aster, Callistephus chinensis, is an annual flowering plant that is native, no surprise, to China. (Although one can never be too careful; a Jerusalem artichoke, for example, is neither from Jerusalem nor is it an artichoke.)
They have been cultivated in China (and Korea!) for at least 2,000 years and over this time, asters have been hybridised to produce cultivars of a rainbow assortment of different colours aside from their natural purple.
