SEETHEART (2021), directed by Marley Morisson.
wow, I identified myself so much with this movie. Like the style, the awkwardness, the confusion of my teenage years are all there. Except the movie's main character is much more aware of her sexuality than I was at that age. I just didn't understand anything, why I felt so outplace... I guess it was the 2000s so there wasn't all this representation of young female queer characters on mainstream media.
I consumed so many movies, books and songs and for years and years I couldn't see any characters like "A. J." from this movie. Glad things like this are happening.
