Hey Kaeli, so I just saw your post about the bonus content for Midnight Menagerie and its tags and I wanted to say something: if it's cringe to write fanfic of your own fanfic, then I guess it must be even more so to very much like the idea of reading it. Which I do. Is it cringe to be a fan? I don't know, I just embrace it.

...I just noticed that bee typo, and it can stay because this is about Bee fic.
I did genuinely spend an obscene amount of time looking for the bee typo and got more excited than it was warranted when I found it.
I have this mindset cus I saw a few tweets once picking on long-fic writers and having obscenely humongous word counts for 1 AU :') I'm still apprehensive about doing some shit cus ppl get so mad about everything

Do you have any plans for a post mm fic, like seeing how everyone heals and moves on after the events of mm? Sorry I love this fic and would literally just read vignettes of the characters getting into shenanigans

There will be an epilogue 3 chapter fic called What Happens In Menagerie set 2 years after the events of the Midnight Menagerie. This is entirely self-indulgent and fun and meant to be a nice wrap up after the absolute hell they're all about to go through LOL
Then there will be an anthology series called Midnight Forever which is a collection of short stories and removed scenes that didn't make the final cut set all over the timeline. It won't be posted in chronological order, but just as I write them, and I plan to leave it open-ended as the ideas come to me like a dumpster for MM prompts that are canon to the story but I couldn't squeeze into the official fic. There will be a timeline table of contents though at the front to help keep track which story goes where. Some future stories I've already written for it include;
Yang's first shooting lessons with Vernal
How Blake met Weiss and how they became roommates (and their first margarita girls night)
Blake's new career after the events of MM
A collection of filthy ass smut scenes that never made the original cut
The scene where Yang gets jumped by Adam's goons mentioned in chapter 9
Memories from Yang and Ruby's childhood both when Summer was alive and after she died
How Pyrrha and Weiss happened and some of their early escapades
Conflict revolving plot point revealed in the sequel and Blake and her issues
Adam and Blake context from the past (heavily tagged and skippable obviously)
And a lot more ideas that contain spoilers that I can't share <3 but I'm so not normal about this series I'll keep writing fanfic of my own fanfic if that's what it takes

Sort of! No More Tears originally comes from the song that played during their first kiss BUT the final chapter in the series is called No More Tears so <3 full circle eventually there will be no more tears

just realized that if I time it right and post weekly on Sundays, the SDAU chapter that takes place on Yang's birthday can actually go up on Yang's birthday

I feel like I'm going to physically hear the roars of fierce joy in the distance when Adam dies KSKNSKDNDJNFDF because we are currently hating him as much as the girls do in this and nobody is going to mourn his loss. Not a single soul, as God intended
So I just finished chapter 19 of Midnight Menagerie. @kaelidascope We are strangers to eachother but with the emotional turmoil you just put me through I'd say we're friends now. So I'm saying this to my friend with love:
I wanna fight cuz WHAT THE FUCK! HOW FUCKING DARE YOU!
You make me feel somewhat safe with the fluff in the beginning, make my heart bleed in the middle of it, kiss it better with more fluff then throw me to wolves with the second half!
Right as I scrolled down from the fluff I immediately felt the aura change, I could almost physically see the shift as if I was watching one of those color sliders shifting from bright yellow over to black. And hooo boy that color was black for a reason cuz goddamn.
You're very good at describing environmental details and immersion cuz reading about the club at first made it sound fun, welcoming, and inviting, now it sounds icky like I imagine all the pretty pearlescent colors just being covered in a dull film of slime representing what the club has been turned into.
I have love-hate feelings with this talent of yours. Mostly love, definitely love, buuut also definitely some hate only because you're making the girls suffer, not even just the bees but all the girls in the club. I'm invested in all of them and they deserve good things. Also adam deserves nitro shoved down his throat and ignited, and take the rest of those creeps with him in the blast.
Anyway rant over, go read Midnight Menagerie by @kaelidascope and suffer with the rest of us, in the best way.....maybe. Just read it.
