Hello :)
I haven't updated in a while because I've done nothing in a while :(
I've got my thumb hurt, so I took a break. I also got my pulse hurt when chopping things at the kitchen, which only led me to also wait to go back to crochet.
Now I'm blue and unmotivated, so I'm focusing on watching my asian dramas and cooking... it will take a while for me to crochet again, so the blog will be a little empty!
But I'll still post the secret project I was working on (provably next week) because I'll finally give it to the person I've made it for!

My bottle holder is getting bigger. Had to take a few days off because I hurt my thumb 馃槬. So I've resumed my work yesterday, but am progressing slowly so I won't force too much.
It's looser than I intended, but I refuse to dismantle it to start over again (at least the "walls", because the base is on the right size).

This is my first big project! Even though I've made one or another big amigurumi, this one is the first that is big enough for hugging!
It was very challenging, if you follow me you've probably have seen my wips and that I had a lot of trouble while making it! But I'm happy how it turned out 馃グ

I started a new project... I'll do a bottle holder with a watermelon pattern.
I'm following elikrapp instructions, but doing alterations as I go. Firstly because I've never done the stitch before. I tried but couldn't do it properly, so I altered to simple single crochet. I also had to make 2 more rows on the base, one being a increase. My bottle is a 1,2L bottle that I use in my room, so I won't be necessarily carrying it outside the house. It's more of a cute "case" than a holder really 馃槀.
The project is intended to make it with yarn that I've had on home and funnily enough I've had the colors for a watermelon 馃ぃ.

My sister's headphone was in a bad shape when the foam protection was gone. So I've seen this idea on crochet.land: to make a crochet protection. And I love the result 馃挒. It made the headphone prettier and protected. The good thing is it doesn't warm too much, so it's safe to use it when it's hot!

I forgot to share that I also improved the back of my work! When researching on color change, I've learned I can bring the yarn I'll need to use next with the stitches I'm doing in another color, so it will stay hidden and won't be occupying space on the back... since it's gonna be a blanket, these yarn could be a problem! I'm still using my first square, but at least it will be only one. There's still one or another yarn remaining, but it's okay 馃槃
And second baby penguin square is done!
I love the result! This time my color changes are smoother and I love the result! I'll still work on it though. I also tightened the yarn better and the result is very nice pixels. But, because of it, the square is smaller then the previous one 馃槕. I think when I sew everything together it won't be a problem... I measured it and it's only 0.5cm smaller.
Right now I'm thinking how many squares I'll need. Each square is around 28cm, so maybe I'll do 4脳6 squares. But this could change.
(Sorry the light wasn't helping today, that's why the lightning on the pic sucks).
And if you're wondering, I'm following My Hobby Is Crochet square for this blanket! They have other animals squares, but I'm doing penguins only because it's my favorite animal 馃グ.
Now this project will be on a little hiatus because I need to buy more yarn to continue it 馃槉.

I love the result! This time my color changes are smoother and I love the result! I'll still work on it though. I also tightened the yarn better and the result is very nice pixels. Update with a little mess and my cat sleeping on my bag lol.
Reached the half of my second baby penguin square! I guess crocheting on bed makes things messier. My yarn is all tangled, but for now I still can manage it 馃槄. I got better at color change, I still got one imperfection or another, but I'm learning how to make things smoother 馃槉.
I'm happy with how it's turning out! Better than the first, but I love both. Mistakes are part of it.

Updates!
-I've advanced a little bit on my baby penguin square. These days I've been dismotivated, so I couldn't do much. And I had to untangle a lot of yarn before I could go on.
-I'm making two Leia keychains! One for mom, another one for my little cousin (to send with Mando and Baby Yoda!). Now I just need to assemble and make tassels.

NASA astronaut Karen Nyberg is a self proclaimed crafter. A week ago she made a stuffed dinosaur from scraps on the space station. The little T-rex is made form the lining of Russian food containers and the toy is stuffed with scraps from an old T-shirt. While many toys have flown into space, this is the first produced in space.
