I took this photo in #Corralejo at sunrise on my last day. It was a windy Thursday morning, somewhat cold even though I had my hoodie on. Almost after a hundred days spent on this #magical #island, my luggage was already packed and my heart was beating at a decent level of excitement to return to where I came from, to meet the one(s) I left back home.

Behind me the bright sphere of the moon almost full and ready to settle, in front of me the sun rising above the horizon, and me squatting in between these two celestial beauties like a lonely little bird. I hid myself against the strong wind in a corralito circle but still I was kind of freezing. I found a handful of shells someone collected and exhibited on a rock. Reminded me of my childhood when I was obsessively gathering nicely shaped stones and shells just like nowadays. Some things just never change.

As I took this broken one and looked through the hole I understood that #happiness in fact is all about where we put the #focus of our attention. I could have been complaining about the miserable circumstances out of my control (like the wind and the cold or the wet ground that did not offer me a cozy place to sit on) instead I just shifted my #attention to all the beauty that surrounded me in that #magicalmoment : the constantly changing pastel colors of the sky, the mesmerising melody of the ocean waves licking the volcanic black rocks of the shore, the lunatic song of the seagulls flying over my head. In that precious and unrepeatable moment EVERYTHING WAS JUST PERFECT. Hadn’t I changed my focus I still would be suffering there right now in the middle of paradise.

#livethemoment stop for a second and receive all the miracles that are around us. And remember, #circumstances are just tricks of the #mind that are trying to alter your attention from all the good that is out there waiting for you. Only you can make the change.

Actually I am one day late, because it was celebrated yesterday, 28 May, but that is how it is with our bleeding, sometimes it is late… It is up to us, how we educate the following generations of women, how we talk about our bleeding. Let’s make an end together to all the taboos, and negative thinking that was created by the patriarchal interpretation of this natural process that is part of all our bodies and is a living flowing energy that simply makes the world go round by making possible the birth of new human beings. Our monthly bleeding, our moon blood as we call it is natural, is magical, is clean and sacred, nothing to be ashamed of or feel disgust about. Our moon cycles connect us women, with the natural rhythm of the universe, gives us the power of creation in physical form of a baby or in the form of creating and manifesting ideas into the physical world. We all should find our ways back to our moon cycles and take back the control over our bodies by understanding the cyclical nature of the feminine being.
