Hi! How are u? Would like to request a levi x fem!reader blind date fic. Like they always bickering w/ each other then there friends set them up. But on that particular date, reader is a bit emotional (frustrated about her feelings towards him) so she took levi's nasty comments by heart & levi is so guilty about it & started to be more soft & eventually admiting that he loves her nevertheless because u know, he can't express his emotions well so he ends up being mean to her.
Thankssss and pls take care...
I know this is late but here you go!!
Blind Date - Levi x Reader
Tumblr media
Connie and Sasha giggled as they took you to the restaurant. “You’ll have a lot of fun,” Connie teased. “The guy we picked for you to go out with is perfect for you.”
Sasha nodded quickly, giggling. “Yeah, I’m sure he’s super excited!”
You smiled at them, a little skeptical of their excitement. Jean was tagging along behind, rolling his eyes at their teasing. “Alright, guys. Cut it out. You don’t want to be Captain Obvious and spoil who it is, right?”
Connie and Sasha snickered, then pointed to the restaurant. “Okay,” Connie said, adjusting your hair. “You’ve got this. Go get him!”
“Bring me some leftovers!” Sasha exclaimed.
Jean patted your back. “If anything goes wrong, just call Sasha and say there’s free food. She’ll make a distraction so you can escape.”
You laughed and entered the restaurant, looking around. Everyone seemed to have a date or a group of friends around them except for one person. You stared uneasily at the familiar black hair and undercut. You approached him. “Levi?”
He glared at you. “Oh, God. You’re the date?”
You nodded, sitting across from him. He rolled his eyes and half of his face behind a menu. “I guess so,” you laughed nervously. Damn it. I’m gonna kill those idiots.
Levi frowned, his brows furrowed behind the menu. “Alright. Let’s get this over with,” he muttered, his voice devoid of any interest.
You shifted nervously in your seat. Am I really that much of a pain to be with? You wondered. He seemed completely exhilarated just by being in your presence. You needed a conversation starter; something to get him out of his bad mood. “So, Levi, what’s your favorite song?”
“So ist es immer,” he responded.
“Oh, really? What do you like about it?”
“I like that it doesn’t have small talk in it.”
“Ouch. Would you rather have deep conversations, then?”
“I’d prefer no conversation at this point.” You frowned and looked away. Of course, you didn’t want to push him to talk if he didn’t want to. Still, why would he come in the first place if he didn’t want to talk? You looked back at him and he was staring at you with a different look. He didn’t just seem tired, he seemed defeated. He huffed and leaned forward. “I suppose I would rather have meaningful conversations.”
Although you didn’t want to let useless hope get into your system, you couldn’t stop the flame of happiness that burned its way onto your face in the form of a smile. “Alright. Why do you seem so tired?”
He shrugged. “I couldn’t sleep.”
“I’d rather have meaningful answers. Why not?”
His brows quirked up at your reply. “Insomnia, I guess.” Your eyes narrowed as you waited for another explanation. Everyone knew he had trouble sleeping but he never looked this tired. “And I was nervous.”
“About what?”
“Usually, when Hange proposes the idea of a date, I automatically say no. It’s like I’m on auto-pilot.”
Your brows rose as he satiated your curiosity. “What changed?”
“They said I’d have a date with someone they knew I had a soft spot for.”
You chuckled. “You have a soft spot for me?”
“Well, at first, I wanted to see who Hange thought I had a soft spot for.” He leaned a little closer. “Do you think I have a soft spot for you?”
You sighed and shook your head. “No.” He tilted his head and waited for clarification. “You’re always rude and angry. You stare at me with nothing but hatred and I know you can’t wait to get out of this place because you’re—”
He placed a hand over yours. He stared into your wide eyes and, with as much meaning as he could get his voice to produce, he murmured, “I’ll make it more obvious on our next date if you’ll let me.”
Your brows furrowed as you saw the guilt in his eyes. You sighed and nodded. “Alright, but you have to make it obvious.”
Relief escaped his mouth in a sigh and he nodded. “Okay. But next time, don’t ask your friends for a place. This restaurant is awful.”

"Oh My God. They Were Roommates." - Levi
A/N: Ask and you shall receive the sequel to “And They Were Roommates?!” Honestly, I loved this request so much but it was in the comments to the original post.
Part One: "And They Were Roommates?!"
Tumblr media
Your eyes slowly opened and light shone into them, stinging a little. You groaned in response, pulling your arm over your face. Your head throbbed in pain and your stomach ached. Damn Hange and Erwin. I’m never drinking with them again.
You took a breath and the scent of bacon and waffles nearly lifted you in the air like a cartoon character. Footsteps approached you as the bacon sizzled. “Morning.” A deep and groggy voice, still full of sleep and filled with a concerned undertone spoke.
You opened one of your eyes. “Levi,” you mumbled as your hands covered your face. “Water.”
The seriousness died down a little and his eyes gleamed with a teasing light. “You weren’t lying last night, were you?” He murmured, patting your head. “You really wanna say my name the first thing in the morning?”
You hummed in confusion. Then, the events of last night slowly came back to you.
-
“Levi. Levi. Levi. I want to say your name. And I want you to say mine…”
“What?”
“Every day. Like, when we… wake up. I want my first words every day to be ‘Good morning, Levi.’ Y’know?” You mumbled, closing your eyes. “I wanna… own your first words every day. And I wanna give you mine…” You shuddered. “I don’t want you to move out.”
He swallowed, unsure of what to say. “Y/n, you’re drunk.”
“Maybe a drink was what I needed… Maybe I needed to get drunk… Maybe I…” You stared at him, smiling like an idiot. “Maybe I want to kiss a clock—I mean, maybe I want to kiss your name—you. You.” -
-
You groaned in pain and embarrassment and Levi ruffled your hair. “It’s alright, Y/n. You’re cute when you get drunk. Which, by the way, is not happening again. No more drinking contests.”
“What if you try to move out again?” You replied, looking up at him.
“If I try to move out, then don’t get drunk before you try to kiss me. You know that’s against my morals, right?” He muttered, walking back to the kitchen. He took the bacon off of the stove and shoveled some onto a plate. “Breakfast?”
“Yeah…” You mumbled, sitting up. As much as it hurt, oh, what a sight to see… Levi stood in front of the stove, his eyes narrowed and adorned with the familiar bags under his eyes as he put the last of the bacon on a plate. He only wore a sweatshirt and sweatpants—not the most suggestive thing to wear, but the way the sweatshirt lifted ever so slightly to reveal his hips and waist when he stretched made you swoon.
You stood, stumbling over to him as you rubbed your head in pain. He noticed and quickly steadied you by your waist. His eyes softened and he looked at you as if you were the most delicate and intricate piece of art he had ever seen. “You okay?”
“My head hurts.”
“Mine does, too. Do you remember half of the things you said last night? ‘Levi, you’re a clock. Levi, Levi, Levi…’” He mocked lightheartedly.
You rolled your eyes and shoved him playfully. “Whatever. I just didn’t want you to move out.”
“Clearly.” He handed you a plate with bacon and waffles, then grabbed a cup. “So, do you want to talk about what you said last night or do I need to threaten to move out again?”
Your smile faded. “What is there to talk about?” You already told him that you loved him; what else was there to say? It wouldn’t do you any good to tell him how beautiful he looked, even (especially) with messy morning hair. How he was cooking you breakfast after you annoyed him last night. How, when he grabbed you by your waist, your heart practically pounded out of your chest.
Yet, he looked at you with a soft smile, because he was wondering if he could make your day brighter by telling you that he liked making breakfast for you. That he didn’t just ‘accidentally’ make too much breakfast in the morning and leave a note that said, “I made too much for me to eat. The rest is yours.”
Levi wondered if you would want to hear him say that he did care about you; that he felt the same. That he remembered the way you like your drink in the morning and the way you tear off all the tags on your new clothes even though he told you, numerous times, to use scissors. He liked the way you dragged him along to every party with Hange and Erwin, despite his protests. He liked the way your idiotic metaphors, especially your drunk ones.
He liked you. He cared about you.
So, before anything else, he asked, “Did you mean what you said last night?”
You didn’t hesitate to say, “Every word. At least, every word I remember.”
He took a breath and admired you, trying to take a mental image of how amazing you looked, even if your face was a bit puffy from sleep and your eyes were baggy, he still found you so captivating. Levi leaned in and your eyes widened as you realized what was happening. His hand cupped your cheek and your arms wrapped around him as your eyes fluttered closed.
Your lips pressed against his. It was short and sweet; his lips were soft and it seemed as if he was waiting to do this forever as his other arm snaked around your waist and pulled you closer. Neither of you could stifle the smiles that tugged on your lips as you parted.
“Go brush your teeth,” he teased but his hand remained on your cheek and his arm, on your waist.
“You first.”

Rules/Guidelines for Requests
Hey loves, here are my rules/guidelines for asks/requests. I thought I needed this because I'm getting a ton of requests!
When requesting anything (if needed) add a trigger warning. This helps me so much and reminds me to add it to the post!
No homophobia or racism in comments or asks.
I'm 100% okay with writing ships. Keep in mind that I may not know the characters if I'm not caught up in the manga/anime, but I'll always try my best.
With ships and readers, absolutely NO pedophilia/incest is allowed. None. Characters are always aged up.
I'd prefer to not write about certain body types of readers. Ex. chubby, skinny, tall, short. If you give me an ask with those, please give me a prompt. Body ≠ Prompt
If you're requesting a series, please DM me because that may or may not be possible.
Finally, I apologize, but I currently don't write smut/limes/lemons. My work consists of fluff, angst, hurt/comfort, and those things.
Tumblr media
What Do I Write?
Anime:
AoT (primarily Levi and/or Erwin)
Jujutsu Kaisen (not caught up)
Haikyuu (primarily Sakusa)
A lot of others that I can't think of because I just took NyQuil and had a coffee at the same time (don't do that)
Games:
Overwatch
Detroit: Become Human
If you want to request something but you don't see it listed, just request it! Odds are, I'll want to expand my writing and characters. :) Those were just to show what I usually write!
Thanks :) If you have any questions, feel free to ask :)

So surprised you don’t have requests, your writing is so soft and fine!! Gonna think of more requests and submit them one by one, but for now how about some sweet sweet angsty pining with Levi x reader with some (actually requited) unrequited love (reader mayhaps thinks Levi has a secret relationship with one of his charges like Petra or maybe even Hange, considering how close they are with him bathing them according to Isayama and what not, but he’s just friends with them and cares for his comrades, nothing romantic about it) with either a happy or hopeful ending?
A/N: I love this!! Here you go! So sorry about it being late.
Jumping to Conclusions
Tumblr media
You watched Levi and Hange walk away together and huffed, picking at your food. It had been like this for a while. Levi would mutter something to an excited Hange, followed by the two going into the washrooms. You frowned, rolling your eyes as you turned to Erwin, who was still going on about mission plans for a few minutes. But you couldn’t focus. Your legs bounced beneath the table and your fingers tapped methodically on your plate.
“Are you listening, Y/n?”
“Hm?” You looked up.
Erwin’s eyes narrowed. “The battle plans. About retaking the walls. What’s gotten you so bothered?”
“Nothing. I’m just tired.”
He sighed. “You’re dismissed, then.” You opened your mouth to protest, but he raised his hand in front of you. “There’s no use in speaking to a scout who can’t listen.”
You sighed in defeat and stood, leaving your plate at the table. Erwin didn’t notice—or didn’t care—as you walked away, staring at the floor. On your way to the living quarters, a door opened and you saw Levi leaving the washrooms. You both stared into each other’s eyes before you scoffed and hurried off.
You heard him grunt as if he was going to try to say something, but nothing came out. Or, at least, you didn’t listen as you ran to your room, slamming the door behind you, and closing your eyes.
Just get over him, you told yourself as you made your way toward your bed. It’s not a big deal.
But as your door opened and you saw Levi peek in, you couldn’t stop your heart from racing. “What do you want?” You grumbled.
“I want you to eat.” Your brow rose as you sat up in bed. Levi had your discarded plate in his hands. “You left this at the table. Erwin is worried about you.” He handed you the plate. “I’m worried about you.”
You stared at him, frowning. “You’re just saying that because you used to be my captain.”
“I’m saying it because you keep running away from me every time you see me, and I just learned that I’m the only one you’re running from.” He sat on your bed. “So, what’s the matter? Did I yell at you? Did I strike a nerve? Did I say something?”
You took a bite of your food, unsure if it would stay down as your heart pounded. “No.”
He scoffed and shrugged, standing. “Okay. Sure.”
“No, you didn’t really do anything wrong. I’m the one who’s wrong.”
He looked back at you. “What?”
Your breath hastened as you looked at him. His silver eyes. His clean-cut hair. His sharp, deceptively youthful features. They all drove you wild and what made his heart flutter? Hange, you thought.
You thought.
But your cloudy thoughts blinded you from the way his steel eyes studied your features. He knew something was wrong. He bit his lip to keep himself from telling you that he could see it on your face. That he could see the misery every time you looked at him.
This wasn’t typical shellshock and it sure as hell wasn’t because you were intimidated by him.
He sat on your bed again. “Y/n, look at me.” You did just that. In fact, you couldn’t stop doing that. Levi, who wasn’t seen touching anybody or anything with even the slightest bit of filth, cupped your year-stained cheek. “What’s really bothering you, Y/n?”
“You’re in love with someone else.”
Levi seemed taken aback; his fingers tensed. “Who told you that?”
“Why else would you and Hange go to the washrooms together?!” Your words were supposed to come out accusatory and angry, but your cracked lips betrayed you as they left in a broken sob.
His face scrunched in confusion before he understood. “If you keep jumping to conclusions, you’re going to ruin your legs. And you need those to run away from me, right?” He murmured, the slightest teasing tone in his voice. “I’m not in love with Hange.”
“Then why do you bathe with them?”
“I don’t bathe with them. I bathe them. They’re disgusting. Every day. You’d think that one of the brightest minds in the Scout Regiment would know how to smell better than shit, but they fail at that.”
You laughed softly. “So, you don’t love them?”
“Not like that. I do like someone, though,” he said, his eyes flickering to you. “And, my God, they’re an idiot.”
You tilted your head as hope and despair battled for your heart. “Who?”
“See? They’re an idiot.” He patted your cheek and let go. “They care too much and when they realize that they care too much, they run away. Or they jump to conclusions. No matter what, though, they’re cursed to be an idiot.”
Hope won.
You grinned at him. “Would I be jumping to conclusions if I thought it was me?”
“I don’t think you’re jumping to conclusions by saying you’re an idiot. Now, finish your food. Maybe I’ll bathe you next.”

Just another small Levi Ackerman appreciation post. Levi Ackerman, who is a clean freak that likes to have everything neat and spotless. Levi Ackerman, who can't stand the smallest dust particle on any surface. Levi Ackerman, who is extremely disgusted when his hands are covered in blood. Levi Ackerman, who cut a guy's finger when he dared to touch him with a dirty hand. Levi Ackerman, who wanted to murder Mike for pushing his face into a stinky puddle... And here he is, not giving a shit about that, holding this scout's bloody hand tightly, and telling him how his sacrifice made a difference, making sure he goes knowing he mattered, and he helped humanity. And people dares to say he's emotionless. 💔

ooo~, how about a postwar Levi and Reader fic where they live together and secretly love each other but they are afraid to confess. they don't even know how. maybe they go out on a "date" (aka just walking around town in Marley, shopping, going to the park and secretly admiring each other) andddd... I literally have no idea 😬 I'm sorry, I tried
A/N: I love this <3 It sounds so cute! I’m pretty sure that Levi spends his time with Gabi, Falco, and Onyankopon after he loses the use of his legs so I put them in here. I hope this is good enough for your request. And I'm sorry it took so long, I've had a lot of requests and not a lot of time to write them. Thanks!
Dates in Marley
Tumblr media
You and Levi sat together, eating the breakfast that Gabi and Falco made. They were often impudent brats, as Levi described them, but you found them to be friendly enough. You jolted every time the door to your shared house opened. It was always Gabi and Falco (sometimes Onyankopon to apologize for the intrusion) and each time, you let them in. They all seemed to care about Levi just as much as you did, making him breakfast in bed and teasing him a little too much about his condition.
He pretended to hate the banter, but if they didn’t visit for a few days, he’d ask where they were.
“Levi,” Falco exclaimed, sitting with you two, “tell us again—what was the scariest abnormal titan you faced? Other than Zeke and Eren, of course.”
Levi glared at him, rolling his eyes. “I hate repeating myself.”
“Just tell us!” Gabi exclaimed.
You listened in carefully, excited to hear about his war stories whenever he was willing to tell them. When he looked at you, listening intently, he sighed in defeat. “Zeke was the worst titan I went up against. I already told you. It took three tries to kill him.”
“Okay, but what about another titan? One we don’t know?” Gabi pressed.
Levi rolled his eyes. “There was one… significantly annoying one. Rod Reiss—he was bigger than the Colossus Titan, and he only ever crawled around. He was too big and his legs were too weak. But,” he paused, glancing at you to see your excited face, “when he arrived at the Orvud District, he had rubbed off his ribs and face. His titan organs spilled out and it was disgusting.”
Falco shuddered in revulsion, sliding his plate of waffles away. “I lost my appetite…”
Gabi, on the other hand, seemed enthralled. Her eyes were wide and she grinned, nodding excitedly. “And? How’d you kill him?”
“My squad, at the time, cut off his hands. Eren shoved gunpowder barrels into his mouth and he exploded.”
Your jaw dropped. “What?!”
He nodded. “Yeah. We managed to kill him, though.”
Gabi and Falco spoke to each other excitedly, discussing the event they just learned about.
There was a knock at the door and you sprung from your seat, opening it. Onyankopon greeted you with a smile. “Good morning, Y/n. May I come in?”
“Of course! Gabi and Falco are just over there—”
“Actually, I wanted to speak with you.” He pulled you aside and Levi’s head snapped back to the two of you before looking back at the kids. Onyankopon smiled. “Levi hasn’t been outside in a while. I was hoping you could take him to the shopping district while I take Gabi and Falco out to the fair. He needs some time away from them, I think.”
You smiled, your cheeks turning pink. “I mean, I’d love to go shopping with him, but I’m afraid it’ll be awkward.”
“Why’s that?” he teased. Onyankopon knew about your feelings for Levi. You talked about him far too much and when Onyankopon asked, you told him how you felt. “I’m kidding,” he said, nudging you as your face turned red, “just take Levi out. Maybe he feels the same.”
You scoffed. “I doubt it…”
“Go.”
When you turned around, Levi was staring at you from the table. He quickly looked away and gave his plate to Falco so he’d wash it. You sighed, approaching Levi. “Hey, let’s go shopping.”
“What?”
“You haven’t been outside in forever. C’mon, it’ll be fun.”
With little protest, he rolled his chair to you. You grabbed the handles to the back of it and started pushing him out the door. “What are we shopping for?” He asked, looking up at you.
“Whatever we want.” He grunted, squinting as you left the house. The sun shone down on you and you stared up at the fluffy clouds against the blue sky. You smiled. “See, Levi? It’s a beautiful day out. We’ll have fun.”
“Right.”
You grinned and sped up, hurrying to the market. A big fountain made of marble leaked water out of the top. Shopping stands were everywhere and you couldn’t help but inhale the smell of lobster. “So, what do you want to do first? Clothes shopping? Food?”
He sighed. “Let’s go look at the clothes, I guess.” You rolled him to a stand with dresses, suits, and other fancy clothes. You didn’t miss the smile that appeared on his face when you picked up an elegant-looking piece of clothing and held it to your body.
“How do I look?”
Levi cleared his throat, looking away. “Good. You look,” he paused, his eyes flickering to you. “You look really good.”
Your face turned red and you put it back on the hanger. “Do you see any clothes you like?”
He thought for a moment. “If they have a suit that matches that.” He replied, pointing to the article of clothing you had. “I like the colors…” he mumbled, but the pink on his cheeks didn’t lie.
You smiled and found a suit that matched the colors of the clothes you found. Levi gave you a brief nod, biting back a smile as you grinned and bought the clothes. He shoved some money in your pocket and you pretended not to notice. You had to or else he’d insist on paying you.
Next, you saw a stand offering ice cream. “Do you want some ice cream?”
“God, no. It’s so cold… Food is meant to be hot.”
“Alright,” you mumbled, chuckling at his pickiness. “Oh!” You pointed at a small shop with a teacup out front. “It looks like they sell tea. Do you want to go there?”
He looked up at you. “You realize tea isn’t the only thing I like, right? I have hobbies. I have things I could be doing.”
“But you like tea, so we’re going to the tea shop,” you chirped, rolling him inside. He groaned and rolled his eyes, but you didn’t miss the way they lit up when all of the different aromas flooded his senses. He looked around, trying not to make it obvious that he found the shop fascinating. “Oh, they have samples—” He rolled his chair away before you could finish speaking and tried a cup of Marleyan tea.
You followed him with a smile. “Do you like it?”
Levi looked up at you. “It’s… alright. Black tea is better.” His eyes lingered on some teacups and you followed his gaze.
“Do you want those?”
“No.” He’s a poor liar. You smiled softly as his head turned but his eyes stayed on the cups. You picked up two.
“Well, I want them.” You paid for the cups and they were wrapped and placed delicately in a box, then a bag. You smiled and handed them to Levi. His cheeks were tinted pink as he pulled a cup out and examined it. You tilted your head. “Is there a reason why you like fancy teacups so much?”
He hesitated as his hand traced over the simple design. “When I was growing up, we didn’t have teacups.”
“You’re that old?” You teased.
“No!” He snapped. “I had poor living conditions. But when I finally got my hands on a real teacup, I couldn’t believe it. So, I held it,” he picked up the cup in the strange way he always did, struggling a bit with his missing fingers, “and drank from it like that.”
You smiled and rested your chin on his head, looking down at the cup in his lap. “Then I’ll find more fancy teacups for you.”
His smile grew a little. This time, he didn’t suppress it.
“Where to next?” You asked as you left the shop.
He was staring past the market, at a park with a few small benches that looked out at the sea. You grinned and took him there, sitting with him. Seagulls squawked over you two as you sat in comfortable silence, holding the empty cups and watching the waves crash.
“You were right,” Levi murmured. You tilted your head and looked at him. His silver eyes reflected the sun so perfectly—you could stare at them all day. “It was fun.”
You grinned and nudged him. “See? I told you, Marley can be fun.”
“It wasn’t Marley that was fun,” he muttered, clenching his fist. “It was you. You were fun. You took me clothes shopping and to a stupid tea shop and to this stupid, amazing park.” He returned your gaze. “And here I am, with stupid, amazing you.”
You couldn’t fight the blush that came to your face as you tried to respond, but nothing came out. Levi looked out at the sea again. “It’s pretty—the sea.”
“Isn’t it?” You replied, still processing his compliment(?) from his last statement.
His hand rested over yours. “I want to look at the sea with you more often.”
“Me too,” you murmured, scooting closer.
“The sea looks prettier when you’re here,” he said, turning to you with pink cheeks. “Y/n, I want to come here every day with you.”
Your eyes widened. “What?”
“I like,” he paused, trying to get the words out. “I love you. And I know I don’t show it and I know I roll my eyes and I’m rude, but I—”
You cut him off by pressing your lips against his gently. It only lasted for a moment, but God, he could have sworn he saw his entire life flash before his eyes, every moment leading up to you.
And from the distance, you were fairly sure you heard two kids exclaiming and laughing when you kissed, along with a too-polite man trying to calm them down.

Hiii, saw that you were taking requests!! How about the friends to lovers trope in modern!AU with Levi? Maybe they've known each other for a long time and they've decided to become roommates, so one night when one of them is really drunk, they confess.
I'm not really creative when it comes to things like this, so you could really change it any way you want. Thank you :)
"And They Were Roommates?!"
A/N: I’m not apologizing for that title. Also, I changed it just a little. Levi is moving out and Y/n doesn’t think time is on their side. Enjoy!
Tumblr media
When Erwin, Hange, and a few of the scouts came over to someone’s house, you called it a party. Levi called it a cacophony. Erwin brought the drinks—usually fancy wine or other drinks that had neat labels and elegant packaging. Hange brought the food. Nothing consistent; sometimes, they’d bring bread and butter, sometimes, cheese, and other times, a deconstructed mound of something that only Erwin was brave (and stupid) enough to touch. The other scouts usually brought something edible.
Levi claimed that he hated when they came over because they caused too much noise, something would break, and someone would get too drunk. Yet, he always stayed on the couch instead of his room when they came over. He’d stifle smiles and hold his breath to not laugh at some of the things he heard.
Tonight, though, the party/cacophony was at Erwin’s house. He and Hange challenged you to a drinking contest. You only did it for fun, not really thinking you could win because Erwin was the (almost) undefeated champion at these. Levi was always the judge, despite being able to beat Erwin. The rules were simple: Levi would call out who was getting too drunk to stand—nobody could get too drunk tonight because you all had work tomorrow.
A few drinks in and you didn’t realize your body was swaying back and forth until you looked down. You stumbled a bit but pulled yourself back to the table. You felt Levi’s eyes burn into your skin. “Y/n is out,” he declared in a monotone voice, watching the other two down more drinks.
“Already?” Hange gasped, giggling a bit. Their words were a bit slurred. “I didn’t know you were such a lightweight.”
“Hange is out.”
“What?!” They exclaimed, tumbling backward.
Levi crossed his arms. “Erwin wins again. Do you want a gold star, Erwin?”
“No, no,” you mumbled, taking another shot. “I’m still in.”
Levi glared at you, then at Hange when they joined in again. “If Y/n is still, in, so am I!” They took another shot and Erwin shook his head, taking another, too.
“You’re all idiots.”
“We’re all winners,” Hange corrected.
You laughed a little as you drank more.
You weren’t sure how much time had passed, but after a few drinks, you had to sit down. Levi pulled out a chair and you stumbled into it. He frowned, looking up at Erwin and Hange, then back down at you. “We’re going home.”
“You two…” Hange snickered, pausing. “You’re like… an old married couple…”
Erwin smiled. “You are. Most people start dating before they live with each other.”
Levi glared at them, helping you up. “Shut up, both of you. I don’t want to hear it. I’m moving out in a few days, anyway.” You leaned on him as he wrapped his arm around your side for support and helped you leave the bar. It was late—probably midnight. It’s not like he would’ve been able to sleep now anyway. You wrapped your arms around his side, hugging him.
“Leviii,” you mumbled, and even though his name was slurred in your mouth, he wanted to hear it again.
“What?”
“You’re so…” you leaned against him, your eyes half-lidded. The words that came out of your mouth felt foreign and slurred, but you felt the need to say them anyway. “You’re so nice.”
“That’s a first,” he grunted as you approached your house. “I thought I was your meanest friend.”
“Dumbest, meanest friend.”
“Right, right.” You befriended him with your idiotic comebacks that he wished were a little better so he wouldn’t laugh at their poor deliveries. “You’re still my most idiotic friend.”
You pushed him playfully but ended up nearly falling over. He grabbed you by the waist and pulled you to his side again, keeping you upright. “I’m not letting you participate in one of those contests again.”
“You’re not my boss,” you groaned, sliding out of his grip again as you reached your shared house.
He snickered as you knocked on the door as if someone would answer. Then, when nobody did, you stepped back onto the cobblestone streets. You didn’t want to go back to your house. Levi’s stuff would be packed because he wasn’t going to live with you anymore. He was going to live alone, where he could drink his tea in peace and not have to deal with you and your drinking contests. Levi sighed. “Right now, I am your boss because I’m keeping you from getting concussed. C’mere.”
You stumbled back to his side as he unlocked the door and helped you in. Levi practically carried you to the couch, setting you down gently before he filled up a glass of water and gave you some toast. “Eat this. Carbs slow down alcohol absorption.”
You ate as Levi sat next to you, patting your shoulder. “Go to sleep.”
You frowned as you stared at him, reaching your hand out. Confused, he took it. “Levi,” you mumbled drunkenly. “Levi… Levi.”
“What?” He grumbled.
“Levi—I like your name. That’s… my favorite name. Leeeevviiii…” Even though you were drunk, you didn’t miss the pink that dusted his cheeks. “I think you're my favorite name… person…” You mumbled.
He tilted his head, suppressing the smile that threatened to come to his face from your drunken rambles. “Get some sleep.”
“No,” you mumbled softly, squeezing his hand. “I don’t want to.”
His eyes narrowed. “Y/n.”
Your words left your thoughts as you looked at the clock on the wall. An analog clock, because Levi preferred analog things and you preferred Levi. It taunted you, ticking as if you were running out of time. “You’re like a clock. And I’m you…”
“What?”
“The clock. Our clock.”
He followed your gaze and his brow rose. “The clock? Y/n, you’re drunk.”
“I prefer you… Your stupid symbols and your stupid hands and your stupid numbers. I prefer you.” You sniffled as tears threatened to spill. “Levi. Levi.
You.”
Levi tucked your hair behind your ear. “I’d love that. But I’d prefer to not kiss someone who isn’t in their right mind.”
“Are you calling me crazy…? I’ll… show you crazy…” You murmured, reaching up and kissing his cheek. His face went red and you giggled like Hange when they get drunk. “You’re a tomato.”
Levi scoffed. Not the annoyed scoff he gives when you agree to Hange’s less-than-sane antics. But the scoff he gives when you deliver the punchline to a joke wrong. He patted your head and stood. “I was calling you drunk, not crazy. I’ll get you a blanket. We can talk about this tomorrow.”
“But I wanna talk about it today. The night is young…”
“But the bags under your eyes are dark. Sleep. I’ll be right here, ready to deal with your massive hangover and more love confessions in the morning.”
“I mean it… y’know? I’ll say your name first thing in the morning… Every morning…”
“Say it when you wish me goodnight,” he said, bringing you a blanket and tucking you in. He sat in the chair across from the couch with his own blanket. “Goodnight, Y/n.”
“Goodnight… Levi…”

I heard you wanted requests and I have one if you’re up to it! Maybe reader and Levi get into an argument and then Levi says something really mean with a fluffy ending with lots of makeup kisses and sweetness!
I’m so sorry if this is not what you were looking for pls ignore if it’s not
A/N: This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you lovely <3 I was planning on writing angst/hurt to comfort eventually. I hope you don’t mind that I made this less military-ish because I wanted to write domestic scenes.
This is VERY short because school is kicking my ass. Sorry!
Enjoy!
Tumblr media
You were both exhausted when you returned from your jobs. Maybe that was what set you both off. Neither you nor Levi remembered exactly what started the argument, but it was going too far. Your body ached and your head was throbbing from the long day. To make it worse, your throat was getting sore from raising your voice.
“Okay, you know what?” Levi grumbled, his hands on top of his head. “I’m done. I can’t deal with you right now.”
Your heart sank as your jaw went slack. “What?” You asked, trying to ignore the fact that your voice was a little wobbly. “What do you mean?”
Levi glared at you, shaking his head. “I’m done.” He grabbed his wallet and keys.
“Wait,” you called, hurrying after him. “Wait, where are you going?” You grabbed him by the sleeve of his shirt. “Levi?” Your voice cracked a little. It hurt—you were so exhausted and all you wanted was him. It wasn’t supposed to go this far. Your heart nearly beat out of your chest in fear when his hand touched the doorknob.
“What?!” He whirled around, his eyes sharp and full of rage. As he saw you, though, teary-eyed and looking at him with fear, he halted. “What?” He repeated, this time a little softer. He stared at you as you stepped closer.
“Are you leaving me?” You whispered.
His eyes widened before he wrapped his arm around you. “Leaving you?” He echoed, his brows furrowing before his entire face softened. “Oh, no. No, no, sweetheart,” he murmured, rubbing your back. You stared at the ground in shame. “I was just going to go for a drive to take a breather.” He lifted your chin to make you look at him. “Hey. I’m not leaving you. Do you want me to stay inside with you?”
You wiped away the tears threatening to fall and nodded. “Yeah.”
“Okay,” he whispered, hugging you again. “Okay. It’s okay.” He rubbed your back and took you to your couch, laying down and pulling you on top of him. You rested your head on his chest and he ran his fingers through your hair. “I’m sorry,” he mumbled hesitantly.
“Me too,” you replied.
He hugged you a little tighter, kissing your cheek. “I won’t yell at you again. You didn’t deserve that, sweetheart.”
“It’s okay,” you replied and wrapped your arms around him, and hugged him tightly as you both lay on the couch. You closed your eyes.
He kissed your other cheek, patting your back. “I love you. I promise I won’t leave you.”
“I love you, too,” you kissed his lips, and pink dusted on his cheeks as he kissed yours.
“I’m yours. Nothing changes that.”

hi!! could i request levi falling in love with a workaholic reader and he tries to push it down but literally cannot keep himself away 😭
A/N: Your guys’ requests are amazing!! I love this one, I’m gonna reread this every time I stay up all night working on my book. I'm not sure if this is good enough because I barely proofread it but enjoy!
Workaholic - Levi x Reader
Tumblr media
You signed another paper after spending twenty minutes writing about a single incident that happened in the field. It was nothing major; nobody got hurt. Two cadets went off-course for a moment but came back immediately. Yet, you were stuck doing paperwork for them because of their mistakes.
You sighed, placing the paper on top of the “finished work” pile. You stared at the intimidating stack of paperwork you were given and grabbed another.
Footsteps approached your room, then everything went quiet. Your eyes flickered to your door, then back to your paperwork when nothing happened. A few moments later, someone knocked. “Y/n,” Levi called, “can I come in?”
“Yes,” you replied, not setting your pen down as you continued to fill out paperwork.
Levi slowly opened the door and stared at you. His eyes were baggy and his voice was rough but soft as if he had just woken up. “Why are you still awake?” He questioned, crossing his arms.
“The sun just set,” you replied, signing your name, “I just need to finish these papers.”
Levi scoffed and sat across from you, tilting his head. “What time do you think it is?” He asked, staring at your paperwork.
You shrugged. “10 PM? 11? I don’t know.”
“It’s 2 AM,” he deadpanned, “and we have a mission tomorrow.” You didn’t respond as you kept filling out papers. “Y/n, look at me.”
You sighed and looked at him with unamused eyes. He frowned when he noticed the exhaustion that spread across your face. He noticed how your lips were cracked from biting your lip while you were deep in thought, something he always found charming about you. He noticed how dark the bags under your eyes were.
“What do you want?”
“I want you to go to bed.”
“Not until I finish all of this.” You took another paper from the stack but Levi grabbed your wrist.
“Then,” he hesitated. “Then let me help. You’re running out of ink for your pen and you don’t even have folders to file anything in,” he said, letting your hand go. “We’ll get everything done.”
You stared at him, then at the stack of papers. “Are you sure?”
“Positive. Come on; take the papers with you. I have ink and folders in my office.”
You stood, carrying the papers behind Levi as he led you to his office and opened the door. You sat on one side of his desk while he sat on the other, sliding pens and ink and folders to you.
Together, you worked in silence for a little while. Every now and then, you could feel his eyes on you, but you didn’t say anything or even look his way. He was charming, but you were too focused on the work. Finally, he broke the silence. “Are you alright?”
“Fine.”
He looked up from the work and stared at you again. “Your hand is trembling. Do you need to take a break?”
“No.”
He sighed and stood, walking away for a moment. You noticed, as you worked, that missed his presence near you. You missed the quiet sighs and the sounds of his fingers grabbing a pen to write in his perfect handwriting. You missed the way he’d grab a paper and his hand would get so close to yours.
Finally, you looked up from the work and blinked for the first time in what felt like hours. Levi returned with tea for you and for him. You sipped from it, staring at him with a soft smile as he sat down again. “You remembered how I like my tea,” you mumbled.
“Yeah.”
“I only told you once,” you replied with a grin.
He stared at you. “I only needed to hear it once.”
You nodded and continued working, going back into the trance of concentration. Your hand ached but at least you were getting a lot done.
An hour later, Levi picked up the last paper and filled it out, then stood and stretched. He opened his mouth to say something but then noticed how you were sound asleep on his desk, your arms supporting your head. “Nuisance,” he muttered under his breath, trying to suppress his smile.
Bonus: (slight one-bed trope)
He couldn’t just leave you there. Levi sighed and lifted you up gently, taking note of how your head rested on his shoulder so perfectly. He took you back to your room and place you on your bed. Your arms were still wrapped around his shoulders as he tucked you in and tried to pull away.
“Stay,” you mumbled. Levi couldn’t tell if you were asleep or not when you said that, but his heart melted in his chest as he sat on your bed beside you. He pulled the covers over himself, too, as your hands still wrapped around him.
“Idiot,” he whispered as he closed his eyes.

Homemade Tea - Levi Ackerman x Reader
Tumblr media
Your family ran a tea shop in Trost. The day it was destroyed, you thought all hope for your family’s business was, too, but you were hard workers. Even for something as delicate and seemingly purposeless as tea, your family worked to recreate every recipe down to the last measurement.
When you graduated from the Training Corps, your parents surprised you with several bags of your own tea so you could “take a little bit of home” with you. Little did you know, you needed home more than anything.
You woke up with a sigh, climbing out of bed treacherously. Your thighs ached and your arms were strained—putting a shirt on had never been a difficult task, but the Scouts seem to have the ability to make everything difficult. You hissed in pain as you pulled the rest of your clothes on, walking down to the mess hall. It was still a bit dark out, so you decided to take some tea with you. At least Connie and Sasha and Jean wouldn’t beg you for a taste.
A kettle was already over the fire and Captain Levi sat at a table by himself, glaring at you when you appeared.
“Why are you up so early, cadet?” He questioned. He wasn’t even in uniform yet—God. It wasn’t anything magnificent; at least, it usually wouldn’t be. But somehow, the captain could wear a sweater and read a book and you were head over heels. Your stomach twisted as you took another step towards the kettle.
You stood up a little straighter upon seeing him. “I was just going to make some tea.”
His brows tented. “You’re not using mine. Erwin paid for that.”
“I have my own.”
Levi’s brow rose and he placed a black, leather bookmark in his book. “How do you have your own?” His tired eyes stared at you, then at the bag you showed him,
“It’s my family’s.”
Levi stood as the kettle whistled softly and took it off of the fire. He opened a cabinet and took a cup out, then searched for something else. He sighed in defeat, looking back at you. “What kind of tea is that?”
“It’s my family’s recipe; it’s original.”
He frowned and his brows rose in disappointment. “Does it have a name?”
You thought for a moment, a smile tugging at your lips.“Home.”
He sighed and found an infuser, then handed it to you. “Put some in.”
You tilted your head. “Did you run out of tea?” You grinned sleepily as your brow rose smugly.
“Just do it, brat.”
The sun shone through the trees softly, providing a golden glow to the mess hall. You placed the infuser in the kettle, then turned to Levi. The sun made his baggy, silver eyes shine a little brighter. As you admired his eyes, he found himself trying not to look at you. It was rare for a cadet to get up this early, but that wasn’t what made him antsy. No—what made him question your presence was your tranquility.
Normally, when the cadets came down to the mess hall for breakfast, he’d sigh and go back to his room because of their ruckus. But you looked at him with matching tired eyes and a bag of herbs for your tea in your hands.
Unusual, he thought, but once he smelled the tea, his heart melted a bit. The cinnamon made his mouth water and the lavender added to the comfortable silence you shared.
He cleared his throat. “It smells good. You called it home, right?”
“Yes, but it doesn’t really have a name.”
“Does it smell like home right now?”
Your entire demeanor softened. “A little.”
His eyes flickered at you before he stared out the window. You took the kettle off of the fire as he placed two cups out in front of you. You poured an even amount in both before placing the kettle on the counter.
Levi delicately lifted his cup by the rims with his slender fingers, bringing it to his lips. You picked up your cup, too, and drank from it, relishing the taste of your family’s tea. It was warm and it felt like pure comfort and joy seeped into your tastebuds and warmed your body. When you placed your cup down, you noticed the captain staring at you, as if he was studying you.
He looked away and cleared his throat. “The tea—it’s good.”
You nodded. “Thank you; my family—”
“Can you make more for me tomorrow?”
You tilted your head as a soft smile tugged at your lips. “You like it that much?”
He struggled to maintain eye contact as he nodded. “I like it,” he replied stiffly. “It tastes good. It tastes like,” he paused, his brows tented as he searched for a word he couldn’t place. “It tastes like home.”
You nodded. “Good. That’s what it is to me.”
Levi sat at his table, sliding his book out of the way as he stared at you expectantly. “Sit,” he mumbled, not as an order, but as an invitation.
You sat across from him, your thighs hurting as you lowered yourself onto a chair. “What are we doing for training today?”
His brows furrowed. “Are you sore from training yesterday? All we did was ODM training.”
You sighed. “Yeah. Connie and Jean sort of tempted me into racing them through the forest.”
He nodded and his brows rose. “So that’s where you went after training.” He wanted to speak to you but couldn’t find you anywhere in the barracks. When he noticed that Connie and Jean were gone, too, he knew you were probably fine. “Hange was worried about you.”
You mean you were worried about me? You thought to yourself. Hange was experimenting on their titans all night.
“Oh, really?” You responded. “Huh. I wonder why.” You stood, wincing in pain. “I guess I should go check in with them…”
He grabbed your hand quickly. “No!” He exclaimed, his eyes wide. He blinked and his face softened again. “No. I meant to say that I was.” He paused, staring up at you. “I was worried about you.”
You smirked. “Why?”
“Don’t worry about that right now. It’s too early for any of that,” he mumbled softly. “Just drink your tea.”
You two continued to drink tea until the rest of the scouts filled up the mess hall. Every day after that, though, you filled up his teacup with your family’s tea.

I thought about more of prompts for some Levi request so here am i again, bc your writing is damn good
Can I have Levi and reader dancing in a ballroom like to charm the politics ? Two good looking people dancing together so they can influence the politics to support expeditions and all
Its been on my brain for days now 🌸
(The reader can wear anything honestly :>)
A/N: YES. oh my god, in my book, I just finished writing a ballroom chapter and I’ve been craving more so yes yes yes tysm for requesting this. Also, I appreciate the compliment!! <3 It means the world to me!
CW: A little alcohol. Very tiny. Also, slight suggestiveness (if you can call it that) towards the end?
Super fast backstory:
Y/n is the prince/princess/heir to the throne and they’ve talked a few times outside of the ballroom because Levi asked for more resources from the king. Y/n said they’d need to convince the king together, so they’re putting on a little show for the entire kingdom. The show? Captain Levi captures the heart of the heir to the throne.
It could also be up to interpretation, but that’s what I have planned. Sorry if it’s not the perfect response to the request!!
Tumblr media
You entered the ballroom behind your father, the king, and looked around. The chandelier hung like a cluster of stars on the painted ceilings of the castle and you couldn’t help but stare in awe at the lighting. The band’s music reached a crescendo as the king entered and you looked up at your father. He nodded, a silent signal of your permission to dance.
You tried not to trip over your feet in excitement as you rushed down the stairs. You scanned the crowd for Captain Levi, trying to avoid the group of people that flocked around you. One man said “You owe me a dance,” and you nearly vomited.
“Where is the Captain?!” You panicked, trying not to make a noise as you silently declined the offer to dance.
A gloved hand grabbed your arm and tore you away from the crowd. “You don’t look too good, Your Highness,” Levi grumbled, glaring at the crowd. A wave of relief washed over you. The excitement of your presence in the ballroom died down fairly quickly and what rose from the ashes was astonishment.
“Is that Captain Levi?!”
“With royalty?”
You smiled at him, placing a hand on his shoulder. “Captain, it’s good to see you again.”
His brow quirked up, but other than that, his face remained expressionless. “Right. Let’s just get this over with.” He held his hand out to you. “Is your father watching?”
You looked behind Levi and saw your father glaring at the two of you. You nodded and took Levi’s hand. “He is.”
The Captain took you to the middle of the dance floor and gave the band a look. They began playing a slow song and you wrapped your arms around Levi’s neck. “I take it this isn’t really your scene?” You guessed by the coldness in his eyes.
He gave you a brief nod as he delicately placed his hand on your lower back. “I’m doing this for the Survey Corps, so don’t get any ideas. This isn’t going to be a regular thing.”
Your eyes narrowed. “If you hate it so much, why’d you come?”
“I just told you. For the Survey Corps.”
You sighed. “I meant, why you? Isn’t the Commander capable?”
Levi shook his head, twirling you. “He’s too formal. Everyone would expect him to dance with you.”
“And you?”
He glared at you. “Nobody even expected me to come. It makes a greater impression.”
You grinned. “You seem to be enjoying yourself, though. You’re very good at dancing, Captain. How’d you learn?”
His eyes flashed to the side and you followed his gaze. Before he could say anything, you spotted Hange Zoe. You tried to stifle your laughter. “You practiced with Hange?”
“I never said that,” he snapped quietly.
“But you looked at them. Are they a good dancer?”
“They’re irrelevant,” he muttered dismissively. Yet, you could see his cheeks turn slightly pink as he twirled you again.
You tilted your head as you looked at him again. “So, Captain, what do you like to do for fun?”
“I don’t have fun.”
Your brows rose as your frowned, unsatisfied. “Tonight, you do.”
“I do not.”
You intertwined your fingers with his. “You do.” You held his hand, practically dragging him to a tower of champagne glasses. You took two, handing one to Levi. “This is how you have fun, Captain.” You clinked your glass against his and the pink drink bubbled as it ran down your throat. You gave him a grin when you saw him sip on it.
“Drinking? Really, Your Highness?” He questioned. “Have some class.”
“This is class.”
“If you get drunk, I’m not carrying you to your room.”
You tilted your head, a smile growing on your face. “What would you do instead?”
“Leave you on the floor.” He turned away but you placed your hand on his shoulder. He glared at you, but you continued smiling.
“Do you want to dance again?” You looked up at your father, who glowered. “The King seems rather unimpressed so far.”
Levi followed your stare. “Unimpressed? Why? We danced.”
“I dance with a lot of people.”
“Dance with fewer people.”
“Why? Are you jealous?” You teased.
He rolled his eyes, crossing his arms. “Jealous of everyone who got to stay in the barracks.”
You shook your head, ignoring his comment. “We need to really impress him. We need to do something that’ll get us on his side,” you explained with a grin as you schemed.
Levi frowned. “I don’t like that look on your face.” He stepped back.
“Get used to it, Captain. We’re going to kiss.”
His mouth fell open. “Absolutely not.”
“Do you want resources? A better chance beyond the walls?”
“Don’t question me now, brat.”
You crossed your arms. “Don’t call me a brat; I’m not one of your cadets.”
Levi nodded. “Yeah. You’re worse.” He pulled you to the dance floor again, making uncertain eye contact with you. “At least my cadets don’t flirt with me. You’re worse than any brat.” Despite his words, he was closer to you as you danced to this song.
You could smell his cologne. It was fancy; it smelled like sandalwood and… tea? A hint of soap? Whatever it was, he was going all out for this ball. You leaned closer to him. “Is the King watching?”
He looked up, then looked back at you. “Yes.” He pressed a hand to the back of your head. “Are you sure about this?”
“Positive.”
Levi sighed and looked into your eyes, then at your lips as if he had to reassure himself of every feature on your face. He looked back at your eyes, then pulled you closer by your waist and gently pressed his lips against yours.
Your eyes widened—you weren’t actually expecting him to do it. Still, the softness of his lips drove you wild. His gloved hand on your waist nearly made you melt.
He pulled away awkwardly, looking to the side. “Happy?”
You weren’t sure if it was the champagne or his lips, but you giggled. “Incredibly.” Levi’s focus avoided your eyes. You saw your father staring at you two with an alarmed expression. “I think it’s working, by the way.”
Levi nodded quickly, looking back at your father. “God, I hope so. You can convince your father now, right?”
“I suppose so. But he’ll want to meet with you, I’m sure.”
“Thought so.” He looked at you again, searching your eyes. You wondered what it was he was searching for. Embarrassment? Regret? Or maybe, just maybe, he was searching for hope. In any case, he pulled you close again, then whispered in your ear so you’d feel his warm breath against your skin, “Would you like to meet me in the gardens beforehand?”
Your eyes widened. “You really liked that kiss, huh?”
“I think it could use some work. With enough practice, though,” he paused and his lips quirked into a very faint smile, “maybe I’d come to another ball.”

hey hey !
I hope you're having a good day here !
I saw that you requested some request about levi and thankfully, I am also back in my aot phase 👀
would that be possible to have something, (platonic or romantic, i dont rlly care) maybe a cadet who's having a panick attack, maybe not on the battle field but more before or after something big happened tho? and our precious levi taking care of them ?
no presure, feel free to decline if you want 😌
(your others works are fire damn 💃🕺)
A/N: Thank you so much! I'm returning to my roots for this one; a need for comfort is right up my alley. I gotchu >:) if you couldn't tell... I'm back in my aot phase, too. I have Levi fever at the moment. I also wrote this while I was fighting off my sleep meds, sorry. - please keep in mind that everyone who has panic attacks has them differently, so mine could be vastly different from yours. I am just writing from experience! With that being said, please stay safe and, um, don’t touch glass when you have a panic attack as Y/n does.
TW: Panic attack, blood and very slight depictions of gore (Marco), Levi bandaging you up, and mentions of death.
Tumblr media
You slammed the door to your room in the barracks, stumbling to your bed. You coughed, trying to breathe, and clutched the fabric chest when you were unable to. “I,” you gasped, wanting to cry out for help, but being unable to. Who could you talk to about this? The other scouts were trying their best to forget it already. Half of his face was gone. He was your best friend and half of him was gone.
Tears streamed down your eyes as you coughed and grabbed a glass of water. You had to calm down. You drank some, but it dripped down your shirt and you flinched, dropping the glass on the floor. “No, no,” you whisper-screamed as your trembling hands tried to shovel the broken glass up.
A knock came on your door.
You shakily inhaled enough breath to call out, “Go away.”
“It’s Captain Levi.”
You cursed to yourself as you stared at your bloody hands. The shards from the glass must’ve cut you when you were trying to clean them up. When you didn’t respond and let out a sob, the door opened.
“What’s going on in here?” He asked, his eyes going from the tears streaming down your face to the broken glass to the blood on your hands. “Shit, cadet, what happened?” He muttered, his tone filled with worry.
You sniffled, unable to catch your breath. You turned away, not wanting to look weak in front of him. You heard his footsteps recede and thought that would be the end; you thought he would have just left you alone. You thought he would because it was Levi; he wasn’t a therapist or anything. He was just a guy. But you felt something tug at your wrist and you flinched hard.
You turned to see him, sitting on your bed with a first-aid kit. You, again, tried to put on a brave front, but you felt your heart palpitate and you gasped as you thought all of the air in your lungs was escaping. “Can’t,” you cried out in a panic, “can’t breathe.”
Levi seemed to recognize this fairly quickly. His eyes widened slightly and he showed you his hand, then placed it on your arm—a reminder that you could still feel. That you were still alive and real. “I’m here,” he stated. “Breathe with me, okay?”
The blood dripped down your arm and you shivered as you felt it. “But the—”
“We will deal with that in a moment,” he replied, his voice soft, yet stern. “Breathe. In,” he inhaled, “and out.” He exhaled. He waited for your shaky breath to slow down before he repeated it softly. “In,” he whispered. In. “and out.” Out. Levi nodded when your breathing was under better control. “Good,” he murmured, “just like that.” Your tears still fell, but something about the way Levi’s chest was also rising and falling at the same time as yours was calming. You kept your eyes on him.
“I’m going the clean up your hands and bandage them now, okay?” He asked for confirmation before touching you. You nodded slowly, holding your shaky arms out. He looked at you with furrowed, worried brows before examining the state of your injuries. “Whenever you’re ready to talk—if you want to talk—you can.”
Levi took a wet cloth and cleaned all of the blood off.
“Half of his body was gone,” you mumbled. Levi looked up at you with a familiar sadness in his gaze.
“I know. Marco, wasn’t it?”
You nodded.
“I know cadet,” he said, his voice softening as you let out a sob. He shushed your cries, nodding. “I know. I know.”
Levi then used tweezers to pick out the tiny shards with care. He poured gauze over your wounds. When you didn’t even flinch, he looked at you again. “Cadet?” He called out to you, making sure your mind was still there, “Are you feeling any better?” He wrapped your hands and arms up.
You shrugged. “I don’t know.”
He stayed at your side as he put everything back in the first-aid kit. “It has been a long day, cadet. Let’s go down to the mess hall and get something to eat. You need to maintain your strength.” You nodded silently. Something about your silence irked him. “I’ll show you where I keep my tea, too. We can make some.” You nearly smiled at his attempt to cheer you up.
“Thank you, Captain.”
