When I suck at games I constantly feel like I am feeding into the stereotype and sexism that my male teammates use to justify my poor performance, why the expectations so high when a girl plays a video game let me be garbage

reminder not to invalidate other women with your feminism!
Instead of using labels like “women aren’t homemakers!” try “Women should be able to pursue whatever goals they have for the future free of judgement!”
Instead of “Women should be able to wear revealing clothes without being sexualized!” try “Women should be able to wear whatever they want without being sexualized!”
It is about letting girls do what they want without being stereotyped, not shaming them for falling into a label created for them by society. You can still be a homemaker and a feminist, you can still dress conservatively and be a feminist. Feminism isn’t about perpetuating extremes, its about creating a world where a woman can be comfortable and free of judgement and labels based on what they choose to do.
I think a lot of young girls shy away from feminism because they associate it with extremism, all throughout high school I heard “I’m not a feminist, when I get married I’m going to clean the house and cook for my husband.” or “I’m not a feminist, I like it when men give me attention.” Instead of looking at this as perpetuating a stereotype look at this as a strong woman expressing and embracing her femininity the same way a woman in power or a woman of the opposite desires would, not because she wants to fall into a stereotype but because these are simply her goals and she has a right to them without being frowned upon or idolized by society.
