Yeah, still don’t think that’s quite right. I’m pretty sure “can’t participate” means it can’t compete as one of the two cards in a match in the fated clash. The reason that they seem to have made this little lore tidbit is that, when the cards resonate, it makes it look like a typical fated clash match, where the cards get shiny and stuff, so they had to explain that’s *not* what’s happening, because otherwise it would seem like Hikari could just join the fated clash, which she cannot.
I don’t think it’s hinting at a plot twist, I think this post is just explaining why Hikari doesn’t just join the fated clash, and why the cards resonated in the same way they would in a fated clash official match.
I don’t think adding a card to your deck counts as that card “participating”, I think that word in this case refers to being the fated one used to start the match, as the matches are referred to as “fated one of miracles vs fated one of zero” and not “Akina vs Suo”. Basically, participate means Liael herself can’t compete in this fated clash to be the one to grant a wish, but her card can be used, as that’s more lending her power than actually being the one competing. At least, I think that’s what it means.
Cause, this type of cardfight typically parallels events on cray, and here that seems to take the form of the fated ones competing in a similar tournament there. A tournament that Liael can’t participate in since she’s from the future and linked to a different batch of design force.
Again, this is just my speculation, but I felt the need to throw my two cents in the mix. I don’t know, I like talking about card games, and wanted to provide an alternate perspective.

"Liael=Amorta is a Fated One who has nothing to do with the current Fated Clash, and cannot participate in it."
Okay, this line caught my attention.
I will be making a small analysis on this which will include spoilers from previous episodes so SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!
Liael=Amorta actually has a third skill which hasn't been revealed in the anime but rather in a livestream; she can used as a sentinel perfect guard for a Fated One (in this case, Rezael, because they're both from Keter Sanctuary).
This is a HUGE deal because she is essentially the perfect counter to Blangdmire whose divine skill NULLIFIES his opponent's skills and doesn't let them use any perfect guards. In Future Hikari's original timeline, Akina got defeated by Blangdmire's divine skill and everything went wrong from then on. So it would make sense that in this timeline, he would use Liael to prevent that from happening for the second time, creating a different outcome, giving him another chance to win.
A character of the present using a card from the future. Not only Akina would be considered a cheater but he would be considered an INTER-DIMENSIONAL cheater. He would not only break the rules of the fated Clash but possibly the space time continuum.
Here's the problem. Or rather, drawback.
Liael=Amorta cannot be used in the current Fated Clash. This suggests that by ANY means, she is PROHIBITED from being used in this Fated Clash. If Akina uses Liael to counter Blangdmire, he is essentially breaking the rules of the Fated Clash. He would be considered a cheater. To rub more salt to the wound, Liael=Amorta is a card that DOES NOT EXIST in Akina's timeline.
But he has to use Liael. Otherwise, the fate of death will just happen again. You just dont reveal a unit's hidden counter and not show it in the anime.
And this is where i believe that this could create a time paradox and lead up to the events of divinez s2.

She’s been busy getting estrogen :3
It''s nice that we got outright confirmation that Stravairina defeating Griphogila partially caused the Fated Clash to happen but I'm afraid of what they have in store for Yu-yu in the near future because he's indirectly responsible for this.
He has been out of the picture ever since w+D manga chapter 1 and for so long + his whereabouts are left ambiguous IM SCARED

Ok so. I have an idea.
I was looking at the premium deckset for Musketeers (I like prebby plant ladies) and found that the crest allows your Maiden Lily Musketeer Captain, Virginal Cecilia to gain all of your heart's abilities. There is. A superior stride card in this deckset that can be stridden on top of another G unit. Now, from the research I did, in this situation it only gets the power of the non-G unit heart, but:
-They are both the heart card
and
-The Vanguard gains the heart card's name.
Meaning.
When you superior stride this card on top of Virginal Cecilia. If I'm interpreting the rules correctly, it becomes Virginal Cecilia. Meaning you have a Virginal Cecilia on the Vanguard Circle. Meaning that it gains not only the bonus abilities of the crest, but also the abilities of Both Cecilias. In addition to it's own superior stride ability granting it 10,000 power and an extra critical. I... am either an idiot or a genius, because oh boy, this looks like a really cool combo, and if I'm not misinterpreting, I may be one of the first people to have figured this out. Or maybe I am misinterpreting. I'm not sure. But if I'm not, well... I may be wanting to purchase a copy of the Musketeer premium deckset.

Not done thinking about card game animes yet. I think it’s obvious at this point, and I hope that bushiroad can see it. Having Yu-yu come out as trans is one of the best marketing decisions they could make. Think about it. Transfemmes play a lot of trading card games (not sure why that’s a thing, but it is. I am a part of it.) right now, the most popularly memes game to find transfemmes playing is MTG. But… that would most likely change, if a major tcg revealed that not only a major character, but a main character was canonically trans. Remember Bridget? Of course you do. Everyone remembers Bridget. Because her coming out made a major splash, and made her become arguably the most recognizable character in guilty gear, if not fighting games as a whole. I mean. It’s brisket. It’s budget, basket, bridges. This is the girl who became a trans icon on par with Blahaj, and I think Yu-yu could do the same. Think about it. People loved when Bridget came out, a slightly transphobic character archetype being revealed to have been an actual trans girl the whole time. And that’s exactly what Yu-yu would be. Not only that, Yu-yu’s transition would be of a very rare type, one I don’t think I’ve ever seen (outside of Bridget) where a character is introduced as one gender and then transitions after their initial story and comes back as an awesome trans person. It would be such an interesting type of representation. And representation matters. Representation sells. Think about it. What’ll happen if Yu-yu is canonized as trans? Step 1: the queer fan base (a major part of the CFV fandom considering. Y’know. Everything.) rejoices= major free marketing push. The transphobes (*cough* r/cardfightvanguard *cough*) complain, and get ratioed= free marketing. New trans girls enter the franchise because they’re interested in this popular franchise having a canon trans character (sadly still a rarity) and start watching the show and buying cards= profits go through the roof (and Nirvana prices skyrocket on the secondary market). Not having Yu-yu be trans would not just be a disservice to the character, it would be plane bad business. And… I don’t know. I’m scared to hope too hard, but I genuinely think Bushiroad might do the right thing here. At least… I really hope they do.

Ok so. Thoughts. Many thoughts. During the G era of Cardfight Vanguard we got the legend decks, ready-made decks based on prominent characters from the original series. During the D era, we got the stride decksets, ready-made decks based on prominent characters from the G series. So… if I’m following logic correct, could it be that, during the DZ era we get ready-made decks based on prominent characters from the D era? And, since the DZ and D eras are connected in essentially the same way, with them being in the same universe with returning characters, perhaps these D legend decks will be like the original legend decks, where they’re the decks the characters play in the show when they show back up? I don’t know, I have a lot of thoughts. Hoping for Yu-yu deck though. Yu-yu deck would be nice.

Probably not what you wanted to hear about your awesome analysis of King Arthur, but this type of story structure is actually batman canon. Every time he dies he gets reborn as a different batman. It kinda sucks.
So based on that last ask with King Arthur is he choosing to fall in love with Gwen even if she has a high chance of falling for Lancealot? If so, it's tragic. Doomed to love another that won't fully love you back.
Does Arthur even just tell Lancenalot to get the hell put of the kingdom some loops?
I think it's more like-
You become aware of your existence somewhere around the age of 3. You were born under mysterious circumstances you don't know the details of. The first time through, you were growing up in a castle. Lately you find you are growing up among peasantry.
Maybe you have brothers. Maybe you have a sister. Maybe you're an only child. Your family is distant either way. They speak welsh. They speak latin. They speak french. They speak english with american attempts at british accents.
The first few times through, there wasn't a sword. Now it's a consistent presence - a shimmering blade stuck in a plain anvil or a large boulder, haunting your hometown or a nearby forest glade. It looks different every time, feels different in your hands. It was made for you.
There are more trials every time. In the first stories the crown was yours from birth. Lately it's been further and further away, behind more tribulations and tournaments and beasts to slay. More guidance from the ageless old man you remember from the earliest days, the welsh days. He's different every time. Everything's different every time. And still nothing changes.
The crown is yours. It's inevitable. And when the crown passes into your hands, it carries the kingdom with it. It's yours now. And it's going to thrive! You hardly need to do anything. Heroes flock to you and pledge themselves as knights, then spend the decades tearing off on wild quests and adventures, getting into the kind of trouble that serendipitously always keeps the kingdom safe. The adventures feel familiar, but never quite play out the same way. Chalices, black knights, fairy women, questing beasts. You rarely see them for yourself. You're too important, after all. You're the kingdom's beating heart.
You have a queen. You don't spend much time with her. It's jarring how much she changes every time. You hate how much it surprises you the times she genuinely loves you; you never really get to enjoy it. The kingdom doesn't run itself, even if just having you around seems to make the forests grow thick and the rivers run clear. Mostly you spend time with her when you're rescuing her from abduction. You very rarely have children together. You miss them.
It didn't used to end in fire, but lately it never ends in anything but, and you never know when it's going to start. You're never home when it starts, but you spend so much time out tending the kingdom or questing anyway. But you always learn too late - treachery. Your knight, your vassal, your bastard child, your lady love. Camelot is burning. You watch your life's work precede you into the grave.
You die. You sleep under the mountain. You dream. It's quiet.
Somewhere in the world, a writer picks up a pen, and you become aware of existence somewhere around the age of 3.

So. Question for you, as the only other person I know who fangirls over D series Vanguard. What do you think about the idea of Yu-yu showing up again and she just transitioned off screen? I can’t get the idea out of my head. All the trans coding, the fact that they’re being so unforthcoming with info about Yu-yu, it just feels like something that should happen. Not sure if it will happen, but it definitely should. Also if it did happen I would happy scream, but anyways, what are your thoughts on this? At this point I consider Yu-yu not being canonically trans as an unresolved plot hole, tbh.
Im all for Yu-yu transitioning offscreen and coming back again as a girl. If not, coming back as at least being more comfortable and expressive wearing girl clothes like dresses.

I thought I'd try one of those art redraw things, see if I've improved at all in the last three years of drawing. I... think I have? Probably? Yeah, I'd say the second one is probably better.

Let me propose an idea to you. I call it, “the blood soaked quill”. Its power is simple. When you use it, whatever art you try to make will come out exactly as you want it to. No mistakes, no errors, perfection. It doesn’t matter if it’s a drawing, a book, even paintings and sculptures. Any piece of art. The one downside is, the more you use it, the more time is taken off of your lifetime. It might be as little as a few minutes, if you just use it to refine some edges, fill in that one bit of dialogue you just can’t get quite right. But, the more you use it, the easier it is to find places where you just absolutely need to use it. Things that wouldn’t have bothered you before, now that you’ve seen what your art can be when it’s perfect, you simply can no longer accept. You’ve seen, you’ve experienced perfection and that feeling is intoxicating. You want it more. More. More. I don’t know if there’s an artist alive who, given enough time, wouldn’t end up creating entire works with the quill. The acclaim, the praise, and most importantly, the satisfaction, having made exactly what you wanted to make, your perfect masterpiece.
Except.
Oops.
Looks like you collapsed with the quill still in hand.
