Pairing: No ships, gn!Reader
Note: Hello, love! First of all, Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday to my July lovelies <33 Wish you the best of the best of luck, health, and happiness! This was a very nice request, thank you so much! Now, let's jump right into it!
Tumblr media
“Four-thirty,” you mumble, looking at your watch as you cross a street. Today is your birthday, yet everyone you saw in the morning did everything but bring the word ‘birthday’ up.
It saddens you that your close friends like Shikamaru, Hinata, and even your teacher, Kakashi-sensei, have no clue whatsoever. Your last hope is Sakura. Even though she might appear a hot-headed and stubborn girl in your group, Sakura still has a very kind and altruistic nature. She will definitely remember your birthday. At least you try to tell yourself so.
Soon enough, you are greeted with a gust of cold wind. When you stop at her doorstep, the pink-haired is just about to leave her house to run some errands.
“Oh hi, Y/N!” She waves, closing the door behind her back. “I actually have t go pick up my laundry and deliver groceries to my parents’ place. Do you—”
“It’s fine,” you immediately hold up your hands and laughed, “I was just wandering around. I don’t have anything planned so, yeah. Well, I’ll see you around!”
You leave, trying your best to restrain yourself from falling into the rabbit hole of pessimism. How come no one remembers your birthday? The more you dwell on the matter, the harder it becomes for your tears not to brim. You quickly wipe your eyes and turn around, making your way back home. Maybe you will just spend this birthday by yourself then, it is not too big of a deal anyway, you are all grown up. There is no birthday in this world where one’s safety is always on the line. Birthday celebration is too trivial of—
“Happy birthday, Y/N!”
As soon as you turn on the lights in your living room, Naruto jumps from behind the couch, throwing confetti at you. Then Shikamaru, Ino, and Choji gather around, starting a whole choir of ‘Happy Birthday.’ What you do not expect to happen is Sasuke and Neji joining the mass, singing loud and clear even though they have obviously messed the rhythm up. Kiba and Shino busy themselves with a balloon show. Kakashi-sensei leans onto the doorframe, watching with his crescent-eyed smile. Once the song is finished and you are still in shock, Hinata and Sakura enter the hall with a birthday cake and dancing candles. Rock Lee, honored with the mission to get the lights, swiftly switches them off with a bright grin.
“Make a wish, Y/N,” Hinata urges you.
You shake yourself out of the trance and clasp both hands together. “I wish that from now on, my birthdays will always be blessed with my loved ones. Thank you so much for giving me a chance to meet them this life, and for them to become my family.”

[Itachi Uchiha X Reader] First Snow Season 2 {Part 7}
Part 6 | Part 8
Pairing: Itachi Uchiha x fem!Reader
Note: This one is super fun, the curtains are falling!!!
~~/ /When you completely turned around, you could not see how your Secretary’s smile dropped as he glanced over to the earring he caught you gazing too long at earlier. His hand quickly stuffed it into his pants’ pocket. And his face turned grim. / /~~
Tumblr media
Itachi was a man of his word. When he said he would drop by later in the day, he did, but not until the sun was setting over the village did he show up at your office. You, having already depleted your energy in earlier meetings and paperwork, were in no state of mind for a discussion with the raven-haired. And there were still forty more minutes until your day would be over.
“How are you doing?” He asked, taking a seat at the coffee table in front of your desk.
“Good.”
“How good?”
You looked at him incredulously. “Good to the point my brain is haywire and I can barely feel my toes.”
“You’ve been sitting for too long, Y/N.”
It was not like you did not know the root of the problem was because of your bad posture, coupled with having to sit in a stiff chair for a few hours straight. You glanced at him, still flattened out on your desk, “Go ahead, I’m listening.”
“Get up,” he motioned, “we can walk around town and talk.”
You would give everything to get out of work early. Getting out of the office did not sound too bad, especially since you still had forty daunting minutes left. Leaping out of your chair, you quickly gathered your stuff and made a beeline out of the door with Itachi following suit. “I’m going to talk with Itachi-san and won’t be back for today so you don’t have to wait for me,” you waved at your Secretary on your way out. He nodded, gave you a thumbs-up, and went straight back to work without wasting another second.
Exhaling as you finally laid down on the grass, eyes closing just a moment to relish the moisture underneath your body. Your mind felt much more at ease after taking a long walk around town and a free light meal offered by the raven-haired. Itachi sat down beside you, gazing over the enclosed area of the park near your home, resisting the urge to also lie down and lend himself some decent rest. His workaholic nature would never allow such things to happen, and his rationality knew better after what would roll out when he'd get too close to you, physically. “About Izumi sneaking into your office last night, I have two possible conjectures.”
“I have three, though,” you blurted. “But you go first.”
“Oh,” he remarked with amusement. “One, Izumi might be trying to see some important documents that you have inside. Two, she might be meeting up with someone.”
“Three, she might be setting up traps, dropping counterfeit evidence to throw us off if something happens in the future, who knows what she could do spending fifteen minutes inside.” You were definitely speaking aloud. “But number one can be ruled out. My Secretary already had all the important documents sent before he left. And I took off after him…”
“Continue,” he urged, mentally making a note that you just trailed off suddenly as if something rang in your head.
“The window,” you sat up from the grass and turned to face Itachi, “I double-checked that all windows and doors were locked before leaving.” You could feel your breathing picking up its pace, and he could see your pupils dilating. Agitatedly, you swiped a hand across your face, “But when I came, the window in the back was open. Izumi, she came straight for that one without scouting around to find an entrance. It was like…”
“It was like she knew.” He finished the sentence for you and gave you a meaningful glance.
“There are ten people who work at and know the office building, including me.” You drummed your fingers on your thigh. “Yesterday, three were out on missions and the guard asked for a leave. That leaves six left, including me and my Secretary, so four left.” You searched for his eyes. “Out of the four, two are recently hired, just this month, and the other two are elders, Advisors who worked for my parents as well.”
“I see,” he muttered.
“Now that I remember.” You straightened your back, lowering your voice. “The office was lit before Izumi entered.”
“That leaves conjecture two the most likely.”
“Right,” you nodded, “she was meeting up with someone.”
“And that person works in your office building.” Itachi concluded, “Keep your friends close and enemies closer. Be careful.”
“All right.” You grinned at his ancient saying and got up from the ground. It was getting darker, faster than you expected. “I’ll head home, have a good evening.”
Itachi waved you off, seeing your back disappear when you took a turn around the corner, grimacing at the eerie feeling sinking in his stomach. Nothing could happen, right?
You dug through your bag, trying to find the unfinished documents that you swore you shoved inside before leaving your office earlier. The dang thing was supposed to be completed today and you promised your Secretary that you would finish them at home, having it ready to go for tomorrow’s meeting at eight in the morning. You stooped lower to rummage through your bag and heaved a sigh when realization dawned upon your poor self that you never really brought those documents with you. Your face scowled at the thought of having to make your way back to the office instead of enjoying your time in a warm bath. But your feet moved regardless, heavy steps trailing on the streets until you stopped in front of the bleak building, inserting the key and opening the door absentmindedly.
The hallway was pitch-black, and you were just about to switch on the lights when you heard voices from inside. You halted, and uneasiness crept upon your spine. It just occurred to you that you did not see the guard on your way in—the first red flag. The last time you checked, one hour already passed the time office hours were supposed to end—the second red flag. You quietly closed the door behind and made your way across the hallway, back flat against the cold wall. The voices became more and more clear the closer you got to the stairs leading up to the second floor. Your office—the third red flag. A woman was talking, then occasionally chimed in by a deep, raspy voice. Two people, you made a note to yourself before advancing up the stairs to get a hold of their conversation. You carefully laid your steps and made your way up, jumping over the railing to land, without making any sound, in the corner of the second floor.
As expected, the lights in your office were on with two shadows casting on the ground. You steadied your breath, deriving an escape plan in case something would happen. Never did you know when you twisted your upper body around, trying to see inside the room, a fist hit the junction between the back of your head and neck, jostling you forward. Three? Before you could react, something pointy sunk into your neck and your vision blurred, knees dropping to the floorboard with a loud thud.

[Itachi Uchiha X Reader] First Snow Season 2 {Part 6}
Part 5 | Part 7
Pairing: Itachi Uchiha x fem!Reader
Note: Since I was off for so long, I decided to publish 2 parts consecutively as a present for you all! This one is very interesting bahahahaha :D The action is back! Enjoy!
~~/ /The adrenaline running through your system momentarily distracted you from the fact that Itachi was now curled up beside you, spooning you ever so tightly in his arms, your back flat against his broad chest. His frantic heartbeat. / /~~
Tumblr media
“Breathe, Y/N.” Itachi mouthed, sitting up from the questionable stand circumstances threw the two of you under.
You were still plastered onto the futon like a laminated sheet, recovering from the ultra shock that Izumi almost caught you. It was close. You found yourself momentarily forgetting how to breathe, air stuck in the back of your throat, mind lingered in the instance where his strong arms were still around your waist. Itachi lit the candle and returned to sitting beside the futon, where you slowly rose, smoothing your hair and fixing your clothes to distract yourself from flustering thoughts. You moved swiftly to your desk and he trailed behind, making no sound, waiting patiently as you transcripted everything that happened within thirty minutes onto a sheet of paper.
You told him—wrote him—how Izumi came to your office and how the window was left open. While you were giving Itachi a detailed account of your catch and chase with her, you could feel the breezy winds of the night sliding past your cheeks, tousling your free locks of hair, slowly luring you to a well-deserved sleep, especially after being dumped with the draining series of events. And when the raven-haired skimmed over your barely eligible handwriting, gave his brain a while to think long and hard, and wrote you something in return, you probably dozed off somewhere along the process, knocking your head onto the wooden surface, face softening as you shuffled into a more comfortable posture.
Itachi stared at your sleeping form and lowly chuckled. He folded the paper and slid it inside his vest, proceeding to drag you back to the futon as gently as he could. It suddenly occurred to him that you fell asleep in his presence. Defensiveless, vulnerable, trusting. He stole another glance at you, now resting peacefully on your pillow, and thinned his lips. With one quick move, he removed the protectors on your arms and legs, untying the strings of your outer vest. Midway through the pulling-yanking operation he was performing with your vest, his hands froze in place. It never occurred to Itachi that you would be wearing something so…sheer, frustratingly thin underneath your vest.
It’s the summer, he justified the mortifying scene before his eyes and was hit with a wall, but the temperature is already dropping. He tried again, she has a heater inside and she’s also living with no guys so this is reasonable.
She needs to sleep comfortably, he then justified his action. He tried harder, Izumi would be suspicious if she sees Y/N in her Shinobi gears.
In his mind, everything made perfect sense.
But his heart was a whirlwind of nonsense.
You awakened by the sound of birds chirping outside your window and shot straight up from the futon when you realized you were not in your Shinobi gears. Your mind dashed back to what happened and all you wanted to do was to dig a hole for yourself and call it your new home. This is really bad, your mind sang as you mechanically navigated through your morning routine.
Out of all people you could meet at the local food store that you usually went to for breakfast, you saw Itachi. He had just finished ordering when you stepped in and was kind enough to not only share his table with you as the place was packed but also offer to buy you breakfast. You accepted the former but rejected the latter, sitting down opposite from him, still highly embarrassed from yesterday’s eventful happenings.
“Did you sleep well last night?”
You coughed at his question and mumbled a ‘yes,’ asking him the same question in return. Itachi took a while to form an answer. It would be a lie if he said ‘yes.’ He barely slept. All because of your choice of clothing. The raven-haired blinked his eyes to produce a more decent image of himself in front of you. Finally, he lifted the corners of his lips into a smile, “I did.”
The conversation encountered a dead end again. He initiated, “I’m going with you to your office later.”
“Why?” You looked up from your steaming ramen.
Itachi swore your eyes knocked the air out of his lungs, especially from this view. The ramen is mouth turned sour the moment he realized other guys could also get to see this side of you. “To talk about yesterday. I recall you falling asleep before we actually discussed anything.”
“Oh, right,” you muttered, head empty as memories of yesterday once again resurfaced. It was easy for the both of you to discern that the atmosphere was strange but neither mentioned it, one ready to forget whatever happened, but one secretly wanted the instances to remain fresh in the mind.
Itachi walked with you to your office and as if he was dire of the silence between you two, the man blurted, “Remember to take your pills.”
And that was when he realized he made the finest mistake he could possibly make in this lifetime. Lucky for him, Kakashi happened to be walking from the other direction and the raven-haired immediately spun on the balls of his feet. “Actually, I’ve got something to tell Kakashi. I’ll be back sometime later.”
You zeroed in on him and he internally sighed before darting to his senpai without looking back, trying his best to retain the last bits of sanity remaining. Your eyebrows twitched—there must be something fishy.
“Good morning,” you shuffled into your office, determined to interrogate your Secretary regarding the seasonal cold pills that you have been taking for the last two weeks and their actual origin. Before you could continue, though, your eyes landed on something oddly familiar on his desk. You saw that earring somewhere but could not quite recall it. And it was also unusual that he had one in his possession.
“Good morning, Y/N-san.” He greeted, organizing the papers on his desk, stacking them up into piles that you assumed were documents for you to sign later.
The depressing notion snapped you out of your thoughts, you smiled, “The pills…”
“Here they are,” he quickly popped out one and gave it to you. “Two per day.”
“Where are they from?” You squinted your eyes, “And don’t think about lying to me.”
“From my brother, really,” he blinked his eyes and you stared back at him. He did not seem suspicious. Your Secretary shrugged, “I passed your thanks to him already.”
You reluctantly accepted your defeat and hauled yourself to your desk. When you completely turned around, you could not see how your Secretary’s smile dropped as he glanced over to the earring he caught you gazing too long at earlier. His hand quickly stuffed it into his pants’ pocket. And his face turned grim.

[Itachi Uchiha X Reader] First Snow Season 2 {Part 5}
Part 4 | Part 6
Pairing: Itachi Uchiha x fem!Reader
Note: Since I was off for so long, I decided to publish 2 parts consecutively as a present for you all! This one is very interesting bahahahaha :D The action is back! Enjoy!
~~/ /If he could no longer be by your side, then be it. But he would not stop caring for you. For all he had done, and for all he hasn’t done./ /~~
Tumblr media
And the day you were anticipating finally came. The moment you heard a tiny little crack coming from Izumi’s room, right adjacent to yours in the middle of the night, you knew you caught right onto a wild ride.
You swore with the seasonal cold pills your Secretary gave you, it had been easier to fall asleep because you no longer had midnight migraines. But tonight was special. Due to a certain Itachi, who scheduled a meeting with you and Kakashi, and other Clan members even when office hours were over, who also decided to replace the sake that could have effortlessly eased you to sleep with his plain tea. The silver-haired Ninja did not bother to take a sip, concentrating on the meeting with all his might with the only intention to get things over with as soon as he could to visit the onsen that was about to close. You, on the other hand, exploited the tea served as a means to kill time as if taking one more sip would speed up Itachi’s talking speed. So you ended up drinking too much…tea and staring at the ceiling even when it was already one in the morning.
Luck was on your side that you caught Izumi sneaking out, clad in her Shinobi gears with proper facial coverage to disguise herself in the dark. You held still and waited until she completely disappeared into the night through the window in her room to slide on your suit and follow her quietly. It never occurred to you that this moment would come so soon, one that could flip the table over and put an end to your ongoing distraught, one that could ensure safety for everyone. Thinking about catching Izumi red-handed had your heart thumping loudly in your ribcage and your mouth going dry at the excitement. But your breath got stuck in your chest when your thoughts took a pessimistic turn. What if—
There was no time for you to speculate on hypothetical situations going on in your head when Izumi came to a stop right in front of your office. You sucked in a deep breath, your gaze following her back as she entered through the unlocked window from the back. Swallowing thickly, your stomach fluttered at the sight of the window being left open. You were certain that all windows and doors were supposed to be locked before you departed from the place this evening to attend the meeting with Itachi.
The office was a closed space, which would put you in great danger if you were to enter. Furthermore, your job right now was to track down who Izumi had been in contact with, not to make a big scene out of her intrusion. So you decided to leap up onto a tree quite a distance from the tower and observed everything from there. A shiver ran up your spine the more you dived into the matter. It was today that the office’s guard asked for a leave. The North was still short in manpower and his request came quite abruptly, making it impossible for you to find someone to cover him for today. However, this piece of information was exclusive. Only you and your Secretary knew.
Your stomach dropped and you braced yourself when you heard some noises coming from inside your office, then a shadow looming near the window Izumi used to enter. Picking up your speed, you traveled home before she would come back to avoid being exposed with a mind occupied by thousands of conjectures that some of which, you would never want to happen.
You came to an instant stop the moment you spotted a figure standing not too far away from your office. Your eyes widened but Itachi waited no more to immediately pull you into your room.
“Izumi is almost back,” he whispered. “Saw you chasing after her.”
As the both of you heard faint footsteps on the roof drawing closer and closer, the raven-haired did not hesitate to blow the only candle in your room out, filling the space in complete darkness. While you were still too caught up in your thoughts to question his appearance in front of your home at literally one in the morning, he manhandled you to the futon and pinned you down, draping his body on top. Then he proceeded to seal your lips with his palm, the other hand propping himself up from your heaving chest. Now that his body was so near to yours, practically pressing against yours, skin to skin, you suddenly found it a little bit hard to breathe. Your eyes trained themselves on his sharp jawline, making a trail to his nose and then eyes. His eyes. A tingling feeling settled in the pit of your stomach the longer you stared into those pitch-black orbs. The air around you stilled, silent enough to hear your uneven breathing and the sound of his Adam’s apple bobbing as he swallowed, trying to focus on the sound coming from Izumi’s room.
You wanted to move but you could not.
Having his body so close to yours did the exact opposite of what you wanted to happen. His breath fanning your face did wonders to your racing heartbeat. The more you succumbed to this novel feeling of being surrounded by his warm presence, the harder it became for you to remind yourself that there was supposed to be no attachment between you and Itachi. You gulped, you were in this deep. Your breath hitched when you heard footsteps in the hallway, Izumi slightly creaking the wooden tiles as she walked. The next thing you knew, Itachi covered the both of you with your blanket, drowning you in darkness and his scent—one that somehow managed to calm your anxious mind.
He ducked his head lower than before, almost snuggling into the base of your neck. Your muscles tensed and your eyes shot open. You held your breath in your throat and waited until the sound of her footstep faded into thin air to try to push Itachi off of your body. Your hands automatically came to his chest in an attempt to signal that he should remove himself from this awkward position. Right at that instance, Izumi slid the door to your bedroom wide. Both you and Itachi froze.
With his quick thinking always on his toes, Itachi shimmied downward and you pretended to be turning in your sleep to deform the unconvincing hill formed by him on top of you earlier. As he moved down, the Uchiha pulled the blanket along, revealing your face, stopping perfectly just above the neckline of your Shinobi attire. You released a mental breath. Everything was in marvelous synchrony. The adrenaline running through your system momentarily distracted you from the fact that Itachi was now curled up beside you, spooning you ever so tightly in his arms, your back flat against his broad chest. His frantic heartbeat.

“Please enjoy your meal,” the waitress curtly bowed, not forgetting to flash Genma a beautiful grin before turning to leave.
You sighed, “First date, and you already—”
“Come on, eat.” Genma chuckled and placed some roasted meat into your bowl, ushing you to eat up.
You complied, lifting your chopsticks and digging in, temporarily forgetting the waitress’s intentional gaze at your boyfriend’s back from behind the counter. Genma sat with both hands propping his chin, looking at you intently while you ate. Occasionally, he would put a piece of this or that into your bowl, eyes gleaming, lighthearted.
“I can’t finish everything Genma,” looked up, “you need to eat some, too.”
“Nope,” he puckered his lips—an action that no one would expect out of someone who always tried to play it cool like Genma—and bickered, “unless…”
“Unless what?” You questioned, “Unless I pay?”
“No,” he laughed, “although that would be very gallant of you, I’m footing the bill.”
“Then what?” You raised a brow at him.
“Unless you feed me.”
His words came out in a string of inaudibility, or at least you thought they were inaudible because your ears kept buzzing. Your eyebrows twitched, “What?”
“You heard it, Y/N.” Genma was exceptionally calm, taking a sip of his tea.
“Genma,” you hushed, “we are in public.”
“What’s the matter?” He smirked, “We are not doing anything inappropriate.”
“But—,”
“Are you implying that it’s not okay for that woman over there to feed her child in this restaurant?” He asked, cocking his head in the direction of a table occupied by a family of three.
“It’s different,” you attempted to explain to him how…weird you guys would look doing that. “You’re not a kid, Genma.”
“Do you not want to show the waitress I’m taken?”
You almost choked at his words. “Excuse me?”
“She has been staring at me for the entirety of the time we are here.”
Your eyes darted to the counter, caught the waitress avoiding your gaze, and glanced back at Genma, “Aren’t there other ways to show that we’re…together?”
Genma was trying his best not to burst out laughing. Your face right now was a mix of ambivalence, bewilderment, confusion, with a slight tinge of jealousy. He knew he strummed the right string. “What do you say?”
“Fine,” you gave up at his sheepish grin, “just once.”
“Gladly.” He immediately straightened his back, eager like a child about to get his present.
You internally prayed for your face not to turn a deep shade of red and quickly scanned the restaurant. Seeing that everyone was busy with their own business, not paying any attention to your table, except for the waitress behind the counter, you scooped a spoon full of rice and added a slice of meat on top. Genma already had his mouth open wide, eyes smiling so tenderly that sent your head smoking. You, out of nervousness of being caught and sheer embarrassment, shoved the spoon into his mouth, earning a groan from the man. When you realized what a violent crime you had committed, Genma was trying to swallow thickly, squinting at you painfully.
“I’m sorry, didn’t mean to—,” you babbled and reached a napkin out to wipe the stain on the corner of his lips, “here, let me…”
He sat obediently and let you wipe his lips, making eye contact with you for the whole time until you discerned that everyone’s gaze was plastered on your fingers working magic. Genma grinned under the napkin and you instantly retracted your hand, looking down timidly at your lap, fidgeting with the hem of your shirt.
“Is there something interesting under the table?” His voice caught you off guard and you flinched.
“No,” you replied, looking up at him, “eat.”
“I think the waitress didn’t see what we just did,” he casually remarked, “she had to take an order when you fed me.”
“Can you not deliberately state what I did?”
“You’re too cute embarrassed.”
“Can you not tease me?”
“I’m telling facts,” he smirked that smirk of his again and you surrendered.
“Fine.”
“We should do it again,” he insisted and you obviously turned it down. You began bickering at him but Genma could do better. Whilst you were occupied with trying to pry him out of repeating the same mortifying act, a spoon blocked your words, followed by his smug grin.
“You—,”
“Swallow first,” he instructed and you followed, momentarily disfunctional. Once the food went down your esophagus, he smiled. “Good, another one?”
“I swear, Genma—,”
“Don’t tell me you didn’t like it.”
You went silent and your cheeks turned pinkish, flustered.
“What do you say?”
“I did actually enjoy it,” your voice got smaller as you spoke. “Good,” he ruffled your hair, amused, “now, eat. Then let’s make this a customary for every meal we have together from now on.”

Just here to say—I love your blog and first snow is one of the best Itachi works I have read on the net. The first season especially got me hooked like love. It was full of so much angst. Your writing skills r one of a kind author! You make us feel so much with just just words alone—we wanna punch itachi, we want to hug him, then we again want to strangle him. It's a Rollercoaster of emotions. You are the QUEEN OF ANGST👑. You are one of the best writers I had the pleasure come across💙
Awwww thank you <33
At first, I never thought I could go this far with First Snow and it's all because of your support! Honestly, this is my first time writing something this long and so grand of a fic. You can probably see that I didn't really plan thoroughly and missed the schedule BUT I learned a lot in terms of plot development and characterization. I'm really glad my writing is able to make you want to punch and hug Itachi, and I have to apologize deeply to the actual Izumi in the original version, I'm twisting her character too bad :')
Hope you will like Season 2, too!

[Itachi Uchiha X Reader] First Snow Season 2 {Part 4}
Part 3 | Part 5
Pairing: Itachi Uchiha x fem!Reader
Note: Yooo, hello hello!! I'm back and on the run. Sorry for being on hiatus for literally more than one month, had exams and a bunch of events. But now that it's summer, stay tuned <3
~~/ /The room got quiet, and your body stiffened. He then continued, “We let her out on parol and chose the North to ultimately get to the root of the problem. And we need your help, Y/N.”/ /~~
Tumblr media
You tossed around on your futon, unable to fall back to sleep. It has been two nights, since Itachi and you had that conversation about the Clan’s intention to trail Izumi’s contact to some people residing in the North—your land. Thinking about the potential danger lying around, ready to ambush your people sent chills up your body. You agreed to join forces with him, defensively, and now have put yourself into a very critical position. Yes, Itachi—the Clan—wanted you to befriend Izumi.
“In your dreams,” you muttered. The problem was not with you, but Izumi, who desperately believed that her man—stand corrected, Itachi was not her man whatsoever, according to his party—had a fling with you while you would give up all your possessions to prove otherwise. You sighed heavily and dug your face into the comforter, troubled at the thought of the very same woman staying in the room adjacent to yours. Right, two days after you were asked to reconcile with Izumi, she had officially moved in. Great progress.
You loomed over your office desk stacked with countless papers, fingers tapping impatiently on the wooden surface. Your Secretary was supposed to be present by this time, as he has always been a punctual and workaholic individual, but there was no sign of him. Ears perked at the rapid knocking on your door, you called them in, expecting a string of apologies from the young man for his late arrival, but greeting your anticipation was Itachi with a set of bento in one hand, the other holding several scrolls that had you mentally wincing at first sight. “Your Secretary is here, by the way, told him to give us a few minutes.”
“What’s this?” You pointed to the bento box and raised a brow, probably on decent terms with him after having that talk. How to say it—partnership.
“It’s a bento box,” he replied, neither warm nor cold.
“I know,” you nagged, “what is this thing doing here?”
“You haven’t had breakfast.”
“So?” You watched as he lifted opened the cover, revealing an entire collection of your favorite foods. Unconsciously, you swallowed and blinked your eyes. Hunger never made its way to your mind until you saw food.
“What?” He questioned, “You don’t want to eat, then?”
“No one has bento for breakfast,” you mumbled under your breath but proceeded to dig your chopsticks in, nevertheless. No one except Itachi would. After a few moments of relishing the mesmerizing taste on your tongue, you bemused, “I can’t recall any reasons for you to be so nice to me, Itachi…san.”
“And I can’t recall any reasons for me not to be nice to you either.”
“If you need help with anything then spit it out, don’t have to take the long way.”
“I’m here because I’m genuinely concerned with your health when you keep skipping breakfast.”
“What does my health have to do with you?” You crossed your arms, having to have stopped eating completely. A dumb thought crossed your mind, one that you immediately dismissed, also the one that kept you awake all night yesterday. Couldn’t it be that—
“I don’t want you to fall sick when we still haven’t taken care of the Clan’s safety,” his face grimed. “You’re no longer living for yourself, Y/N. Others’ lives are in your hands.”
“I…see.” You picked up your chopsticks. So it was not because he still harbored a tiny bit of emotions for you. For someone like Itachi, you should have known better. You knew, even though it was hard to admit that the man before your eyes was no longer the one he used to be—the one you made out to be. Maybe the last few days disoriented your thoughts. The way his fingers lingered a tad bit longer than they should have when he cupped your face, the way his lips curved into a slight smile when your eyes met, the way he cared a little too much that cut you a little too deep. “I will take care of myself, thank you. I will have my Secretary pay you back for the bento.”
The room turned quiet. You took a breath and bit the inner of your cheek. The food you were enjoying earlier became sour in your mouth, bitter almost. “If you have nothing else then—”
“You don’t need to pay me back. I’ll get going,” he waved his hand dismissively, “see you around.”
Itachi shut his eyes as soon as the door to your office closed behind his back. All he needed was just a last push to say what he wanted to say. But it never happened. There were many things he wanted to tell you, not just nagging at you for not eating breakfast. His lips prompted and his words were on the verge of slipping when you questioned why he cared. Itachi did not know either, he just happened to wake up this morning, making some food for himself and ending up with an extra serving. Maybe it had become his habit after you moved in with him, to make some for you, who would never bother going into the kitchen in the morning practically late for work. It was autonomy for him—why he cared. And it would be foreign now that he would have to suppress something that he had grown used to doing. Caring was like a habit, an aggravating one that he needed to replace. It never occurred to him that letting go would be this hard, harder when you were still there, right in front of his eyes, but all he could hold onto were memories.
When you finished your bento box, your Secretary timely made his way into your office, holding a glass of water with some pills. “Y/N-san, this is for you. It’s getting colder this week so make sure you’re paying attention to your health.”
You ogled at him jokingly, “When have you become so compassionate?”
“My brother sent me extras so I thought I should give you some,” he rubbed his nose, embarrassed. “Besides, you probably need it more than I do, you have been overworking yourself these days.”
“Alright, thanks,” you smiled, “help me thank your brother, too.”
Itachi waited patiently at your Secretary’s desk and his eyes lit up at the sight of him. “How did it go?”
“Y/N-san doesn’t know, I told her I got them from my brother.” He grinned, “Those pills are very hard to get, I don’t understand why you won’t give it to her by yourself if you care about Y/N-san so much.”
“I’m not in the right position to do so,” Itachi vaguely answered. “Make sure she takes two per day, both after a meal.”
If he could no longer be by your side, then be it. But he would not stop caring for you. For all he had done, and for all he hasn’t done.

[Itachi Uchiha X Reader] First Snow Season 2 {Part 3}
Part 2 | Part 4
Pairing: Itachi Uchiha x fem!Reader
Note: Hello hello, I'm back, I updated the taglist, finally got everyone, I think :')) This one, everything will be revealed -- why Izumi came and her relationship with Itachi. This part is the turning point, honestly! Thank you for your on-going support and please enjoy!!
~~/ /His hand dropped in that instant, and you stepped outside without looking back. Itachi closed his eyes tiredly. You were not wrong, maybe he should really let you go, maybe he could./ /~~
Tumblr media
It did not take long for Izumi to show her true colors.
When you were preparing to leave work, she came rushing into your office, face flushed red with anger. Before you could question her discourtesy, with as much force as she could possibly gathered, Izumi went ahead and swept her hand across your bookcase, knocking over a picture frame, together with some novels you had up there.
“Stay away from Itachi!” She screamed, pointing her index right at you. “Don’t think I didn’t know what you two did yesterday.”
“What we did yesterday was none of your business,” you replied, standing up from your desk, taking small steps towards the woman. “If you came here to cause wreckage, then your job here is done. Besides, there’s one thing I need to tell you.”
She gritted her teeth and lifted a hand up, about to land a blow on your cheek. But you were tired of the same skit she would pull whenever things did not go her way. The old you would have given in, but right now, Izumi stood no chance against hurting you once more. You firmly gripped her wrist and squeezed it tightly, watching as her face twisted in pain, yet she refused to admit her defeat. You loomed in, staring right into her eyes and slowly dropped your words, “Know your place, Izumi. This is my place, and you are my guest. How you want to be treated, the choice is yours.”
Right at that moment, the door to your office swung open yet another time, and Itachi stepped inside, quickly glancing over the two of you. He did not say anything, nodding his head to greet you. You closed your eyes in exhaustion—your job did not include dealing with these two. When Izumi saw her savior at the door, she did not hesitate to shake your hand off of her wrist and scampered to his side, already pouring the blame on you. Looking at the couple, you sighed heavily. How could you possibly forget—it takes two to act out a skit, the same old one you thought Izumi alone would be enough.
You were ready to enjoy the show they would pull, already having had their lines mapped out in your head. Mockingly, you looked at Izumi’s wrist and then to Itachi, “Apologies, I bruised her wrist. I’ll pay the medical fee.”
“Itachi, let’s go, there’s no point arguing with her.” You almost vomited at her sudden change in attitude when she spoke. “I just came to see if she needed help, but I didn’t know Y/N-san hates me this much.”
“Excuse me?” Now your blood was boiling. “You two can stop this crap now. Itachi-san, I know the next thing you’ll do is to tell me to apologize to her. I, however, won’t. I own up to my mistakes, mine only.”
“I’m sorry, Y/N-san. I really am.” Izumi began sobbing. “I shouldn’t have come here.”
“Yeah, you shouldn’t have.” You were taken aback when the same words came from both you and Itachi, but you knew they meant exactly two different ways.
You did not need to think much to infer the meaning behind his remark, but Itachi went one step ahead and spoke, inserting both hands into his pockets, “You shouldn’t have come here and cause such troubles for Y/N. Apologize to her, now.”
“But she hurt my wrist,” she argued, showing the bruises that started to turn purple from your grip.
You lifted an eyebrow, confused and inquisitive of Itachi’s unusual support for your side. Izumi just bit herself hard, especially when a glance from him was too much for her to wish for at that instant. All the while, the man had his gaze fixated on you, making you slightly uncomfortable. Izumi refused to apologize, and the last thing you wanted right then was to have them stay for a minute longer. “You don’t need to do anything, just, please leave.”
She pursed her lips and stomped out of your office without looking back. Maybe her relationship with Itachi was not as simple as you made it out to be. Nevertheless, it was the last thing you wanted to care about. Itachi was still rooted to his spot, having no intention of leaving. You exhaled and crossed your arms, “Itachi-san, that includes you. Thank you for standing up for me earlier, but everything’s alright now, and you should leave. It’s late, I don’t want more people to misunderstand anything.”
“What are you afraid of?” He asked blatantly, bending down to pick up the broken pieces of your picture frame and placed them in the trashbin nearby. He then slid the picture onto your desk, his eyes wavered at the sight of your family photo. “What could possibly happen between us?”
“Do you not understand, Itachi?” Saying that your temper was terribly bad would not be an exaggeration. “It’s because of you joining the interview with me that your woman came here and smashed my stuff. Don’t tell me you didn’t know, it’s been broadcasted this morning.”
“Izumi is not my woman,” he interjected, a bit amused when you unconsciously discarded the honorifics.
“Fine,” you muttered, tired of having to bicker with him, “but we must stop seeing each other for matters that are not related to work, like today.”
“I came here for work,” Itachi shrugged, “have a seat.”
“Office hours are over,” you insisted, “I’m going home.”
“Don’t you want to know the real reason why Izumi is here?”
“Isn’t it because her family is influential and that’s she’s your—,”
“One, she is not my woman,” he cleared his throat, losing his patience, “two, it has nothing to do with how influential her family is.”
“Why, then?” You took a seat nonetheless.
“We’re suspecting that it’s might be more complicated than how things appear to be.” Itachi lowered his voice, “When Izumi went to the North for a few months as a punishment for fabricating lies, way back when you were still in Konoha, she got into contact with a party that we think are the actual mastermind behind all of this.”
The room got quiet, and your body stiffened. He then continued, “We let her out on parol and chose the North to ultimately get to the root of the problem. And we need your help, Y/N.”

[Itachi Uchiha X Reader] First Snow Season 2 {Part 2}
Part 1 | Part 3
Pairing: Itachi Uchiha x fem!Reader
Note: Hello hello, I'm back, this chapter is LOADED so prepare!
~~/ /Itachi stopped you with his lips, pressing them harshly against yours. You were petrified, biting his bottom lip until the iron tasted bitter in your mouth. He let go of you and stepped back, wiping his lips. “I am. I must be out of my mind, Y/N.”/ /~~
Tumblr media
It took you several seconds to comprehend the situation that you were in. The reporter who asked you to join his interview showed up on time with his equipment ready to hit the ground running, and Itachi. You exchanged glances with the Uchiha and could not help but recall the man's actions last night, you wondered how he managed to be standing face to face with you this morning. Shameless.
Feeling the tension between his guests heightened, the reporter wiped his forehead in a confused manner, but pulled on his professionalism quickly, inviting you both to take a seat on the nearby bench. He then began briefing over the details of the interview. You tried to focus and wished Itachi did the same, but for the entirety of the briefing, you felt his gaze glued onto the side of your face. Fortunately, before your patience for Itachi ran out, the reporter, with his adept social skills, began talking to you two. “You guys seem to know each other…?” He questioned, adjusting the lens of his camera.
You splurted a concrete “No” without giving it a second thought, and Itachi raised a brow, seemingly amused. The reporter took it as a clue to get right onto the interview session, asking his first question, “What’s your first impression of the North?”
Itachi signaled you to answer first. You smiled and looked straight at the camera, began talking ever so naturally, like all of the earlier discomfort never existed. The two of you smoothly answered his questions, occasionally smiling at one another with utmost courtesy. When the interview was about to come to an end, he asked if there was anything you wanted to share with the audience. You blinked your eyes and stole a glance at Itachi before speaking. “I was born and raised here. There was a period of time when my Clan had to move to Konoha as refugees of war, but now that everything is back to its normal, I came back to rebuild the place and ultimately let everyone here have the wonderful life that I had before political conflicts. The North is full of wonders, and I just hold the place very dear in my heart.”
Your voice got a bit quieter as you reminisced the old memories and Itachi found himself tilting his head, gazing at your side profile. His heart felt a tight squeeze when your lips drew a heavy smile that he knew he added weight to.
“What about you, Itachi-san?” The reporter’s voice snapped him out of his thoughts.
Itachi paused for a moment and laced his fingers against each other. “I came to find an answer. The North is full of wonders, and I am not leaving this place until I’ve gotten the answer to my quest.”
The raven-haired’s open-ended answer, coupled with his slight smile somehow seemed to make the reporter very satisfied. While he was packing up the equipment, the man shared, “Originally, I only asked Y/N-san, but Itachi-san offered to help me out because he knows the place very well. I can’t thank both of you enough for agreeing, bet this next broadcast will be a popular one!”
That explained Itachi' appearance. The reporter invited you two out for a brunch but you waved your hand dismissively, the last thing you wanted was to spend another minute in Itachi’s presence. But your stomach betrayed your earnest desire to flee the scene with its not so loud of a growl. The conversation ended with the three of you arriving at a small food stall. The reporter left to place your orders, leaving you back with Itachi Uchiha.
“What is it?” You were irritated by his silent stare.
“You look very frail, Y/N.”
“And you even have the guts to say something like that?” If it were not for the nice reporter friend’s enthusiasm, you would have left the place long ago, not to mention having to endure this heavy emotional load. As opposed to your thinning temper, Itachi remained very calm to an extent of apathy. He leisurely took the chopsticks from the container, wiped the bamboo sticks carefully, and distributed them around the table. You watched him with exasperation, which only heightened the longer you waited but never saw the reporter returning.
“Where is he?” You finally asked, breaking the silence.
“You already know the answer,” he looked at you intently. “It’s only the two of us, we need to talk, Y/N.”
“Y/N-san,” you corrected. You did not know how long you could hold onto this perfectly composed cover of yours when your name slipped past his lips once again. His voice was like a lullaby, the warmth that could bring you to cloud nine one moment and abyss the next. “There’s nothing between us to talk about other than work, Itachi-san.”
“There is, if not many—,”
You distanced yourself from his space. “I don’t want to hear anything from you, I’m tired of it.” There was a long silence after you spoke. “When I needed your explanation most, even a word was enough to soothe my pain, you chose to stay silent. Now what? Now you’re here expecting me to listen to your ‘Oh, it’s for your own good’ again? We’re over, so please stop coming back to add salt to my wounds.”
Itachi was totally taken aback by your sudden outburst. “Y/N, I’m sorry—,”
“If you’re here to apologize then there’s no need to do so. You hurt me but at the same time helped clear my parents’ names, we’re even. I’ll consider yesterday night as you acting under the influence of alcohol. Besides, if you really want to do some good, stop meeting me outside of work, someone’s unhappy.”
Itachi widened his eyes, afraid that you would
You stood up from your seat, prepared to leave but he quickly caught your wrist. “I ordered your favorite flavor for dango, eat first, and then I’ll let you go.”
“Itachi-san, you should know. I don’t like sweets,” you smiled sarcastically, “I only learned how to make them because you like dango. But I understand now, that hard work doesn’t always pay off, because we don’t always start at the same place. So if you will, please excuse me, Itachi-san, I need to go.”
His hand dropped in that instant, and you stepped outside without looking back. Itachi closed his eyes tiredly. You were not wrong, maybe he should really let you go, maybe he could.

[Itachi X Reader] First Snow Season 2 {Part 1}
Prologue | Part 2
Pairing: Itachi Uchiha x fem!Reader
Note: I'm back after a long wait! Needless to say, this one is pretty eventful, judging that we are on a long journey for Itachi to redeem himself. Can't say much otherwise I will end up revealing everything, but this one has a huge twist in it, so be prepared! And I think Tumblr just changed its interface so I'm not sure if the tags work, notify me if you're not tagged but your username in shown in the bottom! Enjoy!
Tumblr media
The sun was above your head when you rose from bed. Yesterday night was a whirlpool of all sorts of emotions drumming in your head.
You remembered inviting a few of your friends out for a night out with the sole intention to wash away all the exhaustion that just happened to dumped onto your poor soul in the last few days. You and three of them headed straight to a sake pub owned by their relatives and began unpacking words.
“Itachi and you,” when the alcohol finally blended her cheeks with a tint of red, one of them brought his name up reluctantly. “Are you guys…”
“Divorced.” You stated without even blinking. “But I’m on good terms with his family, really. Mikoto-san usually writes me letters, Sasuke-kun, too.” Just not Itachi.
“Married for how long?” Another one slurred.
“Six months,” you muttered, “maybe four days less than six months.”
“Are you guys on good terms now?”
“No, and hopefully never,” you downed another glass, terrified at the thought of being his puppet once again.
“I saw Itachi and Izumi together the other day,” she added, glancing at you to see your reaction. “They held hands.”
“So that’s how she got out of prison,” you mumbled inaudibly, feeling disgusted at the couple but glad that their unethical behaviors did not surface, otherwise it would be a detrimental loss to the Clan’s reputation.
“What did you just say? What prison?”
“Marriage is like a prison,” you swiftly said and giggled sarcastically, “where the singles don’t want to get in and the married’s want to get out.” You indulged in the lightheartedness that alcohol blessed your nerves with, pouring yourself yet another glass of sake and downing it before your friend could say another word. It has been a long time since you last felt so free.
As the four of you continued to drink and laugh merrily at the bar, people filed into the place, filling up the seats around you. You never noticed it when a man ordered two drinks and slid one across the table, in front of you.
“Good evening, miss.” His voice turned your head around, your eyes blinking a few times before you gave him a slight nod. He continued, “May I please have a few minutes of your time?”
You nodded again without thinking too much and he smiled. “I’m a reporter, here to get a story on the Northern region’s recent developments.” He clanked his glass with you. “You look like you are from here. If it’s possible, may I interview you tomorrow for some insights?”
“Me?” You asked him again, interested in his offer but more interested in the reason behind his decision to ask you out of all people here tonight.
“Yes, because you look like a local here,” he paused and quirked a brow playfully, “and maybe because I want to get to know you more.” The man quickly laughed it off, “How about tomorrow morning at eight, at the front gates?”
He appeared to be clueless about your identity. You mentally checked your schedule for tomorrow and accepted his offer, giving him a smile. “Sure.”
When he left your side, your friend sitting beside you immediately grabbed you by the shoulders and spun you around, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively. The other two also had their eyes fixated on your face, smiling widely. As clear as they made their intention to be, you ignored their curiosity and took a sip on your drink, the bitterness of alcohol ran down your throat, and trailing behind was a sweet aftertaste—feverish but soothing. You swung your bag in one arm and placed a sum of money on the table. “You guys go on, I need to go get a decent rest for tomorrow.”
The evening breeze swiveled through your locks of hair, dancing on the skin of your face, bathing you with a refreshing atmosphere. As you rounded the corner, you spotted a figure leaning against the wall, both hands in his pants pockets. Your brows furrowed in enmity, purposely avoiding Itachi as you made your way through the segment of the street. But Itachi did not intend to let you go just like that. “Be careful.”
“It’s none of your business.” You cleared your throat, refusing to give him a glance. He followed you?
After a long pause and you were ready to continue your way back home, he spoke again. “Do you really need to be so hostile towards me?”
You did not answer him. Itachi sighed, his exhale vibrating in the night’s air, exuding inexpressible loneliness. For a moment, you felt as though you could hear his heart beating, his arms wrapping around your shoulders, and his warmth engulfing yours. You gazed at his shadow on the ground, getting closer and closer to yours, looming over it, and he eventually came to a stop right behind you.
You turned around, determined to cut him off his nonsense. But when the faint moonlight illuminated upon half of his face, reflecting off of his dark orbs, shining brightly with a tint of sadness and tenderness, your jaws went stiff. You saw yourself in his eyes, the you that still felt whole, unbroken, unsubmerged in the sea of vengeance and deceit.
Itachi stared deep into your eyes. His eyes moved from yours to your pinkish cheeks, and down to your plum lips, slightly opened but no words came out. In the next second, his body moved on its own accord, seizing your wrist and pulling you into him. His sudden action left you paralyzed, falling into his chest, inhaling a breath of his comfortable scent—of Konoha, of your happy time together, of his smile, of his care, and of his betrayal. Your eyes widened in both terror and perplexity, pushing your way out of his grasp. The more you pushed him away, the harder he held onto you.
You felt his hands tremble as he caressed the back of your head, holding you close in his bosom. At this point, you started to detect a slight scent of sake in his breath and the abnormality in his behavior. Angrily, you removed his hands from your shoulders, “Let go of me, Itachi!”
He smirked, his face turning cold. He lifted your jaw up in one hand forcefully and you winced in pain. “You’re out of your mind! You’re—,”
Itachi stopped you with his lips, pressing them harshly against yours. You were petrified, biting his bottom lip until the iron tasted bitter in your mouth. He let go of you and stepped back, wiping his lips. “I am. I must be out of my mind, Y/N.”

“How have you been?”
Itachi’s words rang in your ears like a siren. Amidst the light breeze of spring, you felt your heart closing shut. “Better than I used to,” you replied halfheartedly and the room fell into a deep silence. It was the first time you met him, again. You expected that you would, sooner or later, face the Uchiha, given that you were still a part of the Clan, but not for a matter like this.
After you returned to the North, everything was centered around rebuilding the place, everyone was in high spirits that they finally found their way back home. At first, you used their jubilance to drag yourselves through the endless days, to be their role model, you supposed. At night, when they would be returned to their families, you would sit alone in your own place, piecing together the letters your parents left behind, gazing at their belongings, and crying yourself to bed. Being back to where you were born and raised, now without your family, did nothing but add salt to your open wounds yet to heal.
If home was a place for assurance and serenity, you were the farthest from home.
Earlier in the week, you received a letter from Kakashi outlining that he and Itachi would be coming to the North to hand over the Clan’s responsibilities. Your heart shuddered at the thought of having to come face to face with the man you could never forget, for good and bad, who you would never be able to mistake even in your sleep. You narrowed your eyes and fixated them back onto the figure standing several feet away from where you were, unfathomable. However, your gaze lingered on the person standing behind him, a woman.
“Why is she here?” You cleared your throat and sucked in a quick inhale, feeling a bit nauseous as you spoke. The sight before your eyes was enough to shake you to the core—Izumi stood casually with her hands intertwined behind her back, smiling slightly at your perplexity. Your face was ashen when the two of them exchanged glances—disgust.
You never heard of any information regarding her release, nor her appearance in your land. Feeling your burning stare on his back, demanding an explanation, Kakashi shook his head sideways and stepped out, closing the door behind, leaving you and the pair inside your office.
“Izumi will be living here from now on to atone for her mistakes,” Itachi did not waste an extra second to spit the words out. “She will be working like all other members, helping to rebuild the place.”
“Hello, Y/N-san.” She bowed. “I am truly sorry for everything I have caused, for all the things that I made you go through. I was blinded by jealousy, but right now, I want nothing but to fix my mistakes. Please accept my deepest apology, Y/N-san.”
You opened your lips to say something, but before you could, Itachi interrupted, telling Izumi to go outside and wait. You glanced as her back disappeared, still in disbelief. Itachi took a seat across from you, beginning to pull out some documents. You crossed your arms and furrowed your brows, “Is this a joke? You never spoke to me about this. Do you think that I’m here just here for show?”
“Before giving me a lecture, would you listen to what I have to say, first?” His voice was as light as a feather.
Your blood boiled. You wanted to ask if he would, if he was you. But Itachi’s deadly gaze, though unwavering, spoke volumes. He slid the papers across your desk and folded his hands on his lap. “Izumi is now released on parole, the Advisors want you to be in charge of her.”
“I won’t,” you smirked, “I can’t.” The raven-haired remained expressionless—he expected this from you. You shifted in your seat, slowly dropping every word with gritted teeth. “It’s out of my capabilities—what she did and what she will do. Just like whatever happened to get her out of prison.”
“Stop beating around the bush.”
“I was just wondering how talented she is to be able to walk away from her punishments just like that.” You chuckled lowly, “It was only three months.” Itachi seemed rather disturbed and you took satisfaction in it. Leaning forward, you smiled gently. “Is it her money? Her status? Her skills? Perhaps her body?”
Itachi was taken aback by your forceful candor, his face stiffened. Never in his memory had he recalled this side of you. The woman sitting in front of him was no longer the Y/N that he used to know. For a moment, he felt the urge to apologize, for ruining you, but he knew his effort restraining his emotions the moment he saw you—the moment you left his side—would be in vain if he let his heart overtake his mind. Instead, Itachi looked outside at the cherry blossoms dangling in the wind ever so slightly with a condescending curve on his lips. “You’re not…wrong, but there’s one thing that I need to remind you, Y/N.” There was more into the situation that he wished you would know, but for your sake, he was willing to play the devil. Itachi tapped the table, relaxed, but his words were the opposite. “You don’t have a say in it, better take the easy way out. You are smart, make the decision that you won’t regret. You have the lives of many in your hand now.”
With that, he pushed himself up and turned for the door. You bit our lips, your eyes growing red the louder his words repeated in your head. Succumbing to the highers—not your morale, but your route. You crumbled the papers in your hand and released a trembling exhale. Right now, you were overwhelmed with an inexplicable sense of frustration, regret, disappointment, and loss. But what you did not know was that on the other side of the closed door, someone quietly blinked away the tears that were yet to shed—this was the only option.
