*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
You slowly woke up as your alarm clock screamed at you. You felt around your side table trying to find the button that would shut the stupid alarm clock up. You finally did, but only because you had sat up so you could actually see what you were doing. Last night was rougher then usual. The same stupid dream had come to haunt your sleep yet again. But for whatever reason... something about the dream last night had been worse then usual. You tried to figure out why but the memory of the dream had already slipped your mind. You swung your legs over the side of the bed and groaned. You didn't really want to go to work but... you had to pay the聽bills some how. With that thought in mind you slowly stood up and walked to the bathroom. You dug through both of your laundry baskets trying to find a uniform for work. After a few minutes you finally found it. It was a plane black shirt with the name of the store on the front. Your name tag was attached to the front of the shirt. It was so plain, and not even worth it.. but your boss insisted on the stupid thing. You smelled it quickly to make sure it was clean enough to wear before throwing it on. You did your usual morning routine before exiting the bathroom. You walked into your kitchen to grab your pack of cigarettes and lighter before sluggishly walking outside and to your truck. The morning fall air nipped at your skin. It was foggy outside. Good. Work seemed to be less busy when it was foggy out. You jumped into your truck and started it. It took a few minutes to start, and you were relieved when you realized your truck would live to drive another day. You drove off to work, and hoped and prayed that somehow this day would go well.聽
~time skip~
It was nearing the end of the day and your work shift was almost over. You sighed as you saw a rusty pickup pull up to the store. As your neck jerked to the side you hoped that the people in the truck weren't more creepy old men. You watched as three people walked in, one of them was twitching just as much as you were if not more and wearing goggles, the second one was wearing a yellow hoodie and a black mask that had a red frowny face stitched into it, the last one was wearing a a tan jacket and a feminine mask with black detailing. They walked around the store for a few minutes before heading towards the cash register. As they walked closer to where you were standing you noticed some red and brown stains on there clothes... And just hoped it wasn't blood. You watched as they walked up to you, silently hoping that maybe they would kill you. When they finally reached the counter you were working at, the first one dumped an armful of drinks and snacks on the counter, and the third one pulled out an ID and pointed to a pack of cigarettes behind you.
You held your hand out for his ID and he handed it to you. Timothy Sutton, age.... It took you a few minutes to do the math but you eventually come to the conclusion he was in his mid 40's. The ID looked real enough so you picked up the pack of cigarettes he had pointed at, nearly chucking them to the other side of the store when a tic made your arm harshly jerk, and set them on the counter before giving him back his ID. I started scanning all the items as well as bagging them. "You're total is $40.56." The second one nodded and pulled out his wallet. He placed exactly $40.65 on the counter. Oh well, makes my job easier. "Need a r-receipt?" the first one shook his head no and I nodded back. I told them they where good to go. The third man, or Timothy, nodded and walked out with the other 2 following him. Sighing you looked at the time and realized that your shift was over. You hopped over the counter and on your way you grabbed another pack of cigarettes before heading outside. Getting into your own truck you started driving. Unaware of the 3 mysterious figures watching you...
*POP*
*sputter sputter*
"Sh-shit..."
Jumping out of your car you saw that a hatchet had been buried into your聽tire. "What the hell..."聽in聽the corner of your eye you saw that smoke was seeping form inside the hood of your truck. Sighing you took the tool box you kept stored in the trunk of you truck and decided to try and fix your engine before you worried about your tire. But before you could even do anything another hatchet flew past your head and into the back window of your truck. Startled, you fell backwards and onto your ass. You scrambled to stand and started to run, but you were too slow. The only thing you could remember was feeling a sharp pain in the side of your head before the world went black...
-----
Eventually, and much to your dismay, you woke up. You were in the hospital. You hated hospitals. You slowly sat up and looked around, hoping to find the small call button so you could hurry up and check yourself out. It didn't take long to find, but it definitely took a long time for someone to get to your room. When someone finally did come to check on you, you were informed that you couldn't leave until you talked to the police.聽
~le time skip~
The police eventually came to talk to you. After 5 hours that is. The waiting was just as horrible as having to talk to the idiots who called themselves the police, but you managed to power through the pain staking process. Once the police questioned you they informed you that they would be providing you with a vehicle for now... You were skeptical, but you weren't going to complain about having a truck that didn't run on fumes and prayers.
~another time skip~聽
You were finally home. Finally. You didn't even bother changing into different clothes, you just flopped into bed. The minute your head hit the pillow you drifted off to sleep... With the strange dream... With the strange man...
Three figures stood outside, watching, observing, and waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

Paranoid. This was the word to describe how you were feeling at the moment. As you were walking down the dimly lit street you had to ask yourself why you were feeling paranoid. You thought of reasons as to why. Maybe it's because you were alone, or maybe it was because of the strange shit that kept happening. Ever since your mothers death, weird and unexplainable things had been happening around you. Such as the same weird dream every night. The memory of the dream is distant.. but one thing you can always seem to remember about it is a strange man. You couldn't recall ever seeing him... so why did you keep seeing him in your dreams? His description is a simple one. He was tall, he had a blank featureless face, his skin was as white as snow, and he wore a black suit with a red tie. You tried to justify to yourself that it was just a coincidence that he was there every night. That it has nothing to do with anything. That everything was fine... and that the dreams didn't make you wake up in a cold sweat every morning. Another weird occurrence that had been happening was things you had kept going missing. Things like clothes, pictures, books, jewelry, food, ect. At first you hadn't noticed... but after a while it was impossible not to miss that it was happening. You didn't dare go to the police. The thought of doing so made you want to gag. It made you want to scream. You couldn't remember why but... the more you thought about doing it, the more it made you sick to your stomach. And lastly... people kept going missing. No matter where you moved it seemed that the minute you got there, people would start to disappear. The police would look for months... but every time it led to a dead end. Each and every person had disappeared without a trace. You wondered if it was somehow because of you. Like some form of penance for what you did but... the thought was silly right? Right... ya. The thought was just a silly and stupid thought. All of the thoughts you were having swirled around in your head. The thoughts made you feel dizzy and nauseated. You stumbled up the steps to your house and went inside. As you entered the house, you looked at the clock that was hanging on the wall. You tried to figure out what time it was. You sighed as you finally figured it out, and told yourself that you should probably go take your meds. Walking to your bathroom a violent twitch emitted from your arm. You did your best to ignore it and continued walking to the intended destination. Walking over to your medicine cabinet you opened it and pulled out a pill box. You scanned the days that each small compartment was labeled with before landing on the one meant for today. You dumped the contents into your palm before dry swallowing them. It burned. You coughed slightly, your eyes brimming with tears.聽
"Why do I keep doing that?.." you whispered to yourself in disdain. You're arm jerked upwards smacking you in the face. You chuckled slightly, as much as it hurt... given the situation you had to admit to yourself it was kind of funny. You walked out of your bathroom and into the kitchen to grab a cigarette and a lighter. After searching for a few minutes you finally found what you were looking for. A beautiful box of cancer sticks. It was your saving grace, the thing that had kept you going since you were 15. You took out one of the cigarettes from the packet and walked outside.
You placed the cigarette you had grabbed between your lips and lit it. As you were lighting it you watched the flames that danced above your lighter, it was... beautiful. It's like time stopped as you stood there, watching the fire. Your head jerked to the side bringing you out of your trance. You closed your lighter and took a long drag from cigarette, letting the smoke fill your lungs before releasing it into the cold night with a big sigh.
The smoke still burned, even after all of these years. But the burn was nice. The burn reminded you that you were alive. You stood there for a few minutes, taking drags from your holy grail. Before long, the cigarette had been reduced down to just the filter. To just an orange stub. It reminded you of your mother's stupid box dyed hair. Bright fucking orange. The color she insisted on dying is every single week. Flicking it to the ground you stomped on it until it was put out. You stomped on it until the orange stub wasn't so orange.
You stood outside for a while and watched the stars... you also contemplated life. What was your purpose in life?... did you have a purpose?... did you make the right choice by ki-?...... you stopped at that thought. Of course you did. Of course you did... right? There was no point in dwelling on it. What's done... is done. Besides... there was no point in worrying about it... especially since聽you never got caught.聽
-----
Somewhere far away from where you stood on your porch... stood 4 figures. 3 of them stood still, 1 didn't. It didn't seem to bother any of them.. almost as if they were used to it. The biggest figure of them all sat at a desk just as big as he was. His description was... simple. He was tall, he had a blank featureless face, his skin was as white as snow, and he wore a black suit with a red tie. The desk he was sitting behind was organized and neat. Three folders laid in front of him. Time seemed to stand still as all of them stood there. Everything was in order just as it should be... well, the only thing that seemed to be out of place was the boy who couldn't stay still. But he was still perfectly in place, in his own special way that no one but the tall being seemed to actually understand. After many moments of silence the being behind the desk spoke.聽
"(Y/N) (M/N) (L/N). Bring them to me in 3 days. Alive."聽
His voice was so loud and so quiet at the same time. Anyone walking by the room wouldn't have been able to hear it, but those three men could hear it loud and clear. It used to give them migraines, which reduced down to headaches, and eventually faded into nothing as they each got used to it. The three men standing in front of him nodded, each of them took one of the folders. However, they didn't look at them. There would be time for that later. All of them had learned that years ago. Each of them making the same mistake. The thought of it was enough to send chills down their spines. They shoved the thought away, they needed to focus before they got in trouble. The being spoke again.
"You are dismissed. I trust you'll get the job done...聽Timothy, Brian, and Tobias.
-----
Back in your house, oblivious to the one sided conversation that had just happened... and oblivious to the events soon to come, you had moved from your porch to your bathroom. You stood in front of the full length mirror attached to your door. You had ridden yourself of your clothing to give yourself a full view of your body. You felt... gross. In your mind you looked like a monster. Your hair was greasy, your body was littered with scars, cuts, and bruises... and worst of all you felt fat. Everyone else around you knew that was far from the truth. You were... gaunt to say the least. You were so thin you looked sickly. It looked like you hadn't eaten in weeks. But you couldn't see what they saw. You looked over your frame and judged yourself. You criticized every inch of your being. You made yourself sick. Your head jerked backwards, effectively earning a grone of pain from you. Flopping your head forward you stumbled over to your bathtub. You grabbed some shampoo and conditioner and rubbed it in your hair. This was proven difficult by the fact that your hair was still dry. Stepping into the tub you turned the water on. It was cold. Your water heater must have broke again. You pushed the thought away and sat down in the tub. You bent you body forward so you could get your hair under the faucet. Your shower had broken months ago and you never bothered fixing it. You sat there for two minutes washing your hair. The water was freezing cold at this point, the thought of your broken water heater coming to mind again. Did you even have the money to fix it this time? All of a sudden your head jerked upwards. The movement made your head slam into the faucet. You spit out a string of cuss words through your teeth. Getting out from under the faucet you hissed in pain. You rubbed the sore spot on your head trying to make it feel better. You sat there for a few minutes trying to comfort your aching head. Finally, after a few minutes, the pain had reduced to barely nothing but a small pinprick. You turned off your water and slowly stood up. Carefully, you stepped over the edge of the bathtub. You grabbed a towel from a laundry basket and just hoped it was clean as you walked into your room. The towel was soon thrown in the general direction of your other聽 laundry basket. You walked over to your closet and pulled out something to sleep in... and today that outfit was a pair of shorts and a hoodie. You threw the clothing on mindlessly and walked over to your alarm clock. You hated the thing but it's the only thing that got you to work on time. You set it for 2 hours before you had to be at work. You laid down in bed, and fell into a restless sleep... a restless sleep with that strange dream... that strange dream with that聽strange man.聽

DISCLAMER
I started this when I didn't know crap about writing. I still don't know much about writing. I promise I'm trying my best to edit the book as I go in hopes of improving it immensely. I am adding many things, and deleting many things. Please bare with me. Reading back through this is painful because of how stupid I was... and how I wrote things in general. If you read how this book was before... no you didn't. I'm gutting this shit from the inside out. The story line will still be the same... just with better plot and yada yada yada.聽
Sincerely - author聽
ACTUAL DISCLAIMERS!!!
I'm sorry that I may not represent all body types for (Y/N)... this book will focus some in eating disorders, and body dismorphia. At the beginning of the book I describe (Y/N) as being so skinny, they look sickly. I'm trying to remain gender neutral here but if I fail... let me know and I'll try to fix it. This book may be harder to read as it focuses a lot on mental and physical issues... it also talks about things such as drug abuse and self harm....
Also, I depict (Y/N) as having tourette's syndrome... I promise I'm not trying to make it seem cute. If I fail at depicting how seriously it impact a life.. tell me and I'll try harder.
So uh. Ya. This book may be very triggering for some.
Sincerely - author
