Fanfiction Entry #805 (x)
Wattpad: (x), Archive: (x)
Boom Sonamy, Lyric comes back trying to achieve immortality. He needs an exhange of life for a life so a live sacrifice but can't read the rest of the inscription. So he kidnaps Amy again to read the rest of the message otherwise he'll destroy the village and plans to sacrifice her. The gang come to save her and stop Lyric. You can add more to make it more dramatic if you want with a better ending than I can think of ^_^'
I do tend to always just add more, don’t I? XD I’m sorry for those who I’ve taken your idea and ran with my own thoughts on it, but I hope it’s been satisfactory nonetheless! Working a lot lately, so when I do have time to do the Tumblr Prompt Series (also posted on all my writing sites for viewing pleasure!) I usually do something fun but small. I’ll give it my best, Precious Anon!
Also, Lyric is a very… how do I put this… There’s not a whole hecka lot of information on him. I did some research to look back over the games he was in, and even then, it was pretty generic and bland, sorry Lyric fans!
However, sometimes, that’s actually good news. You know why? Shocking, I know! But it means the character is wide open for interpretation and expanding upon them. I won’t be doing that for this fic, necessarily, but I think characters with great potential are usually those that have little information but just enough to peak interest. It’s one of the reasons I felt Amy Rose was a character I could put more lore and backstory on, because although I did study her character, there wasn’t a whole lot on her. It made her a canvas that felt ‘half-full’, able to be influenced and expanded upon.
However, in recent times, Amy Rose and many other characters like her in different franchises (Not necessarily in personality or role, but just the same level of character-depth and lore, I guess?) have really been given love and more games are coming out with better writing quality than ever before! I’m so glad that so many ‘side characters’ are treated as main cast mates, and not just thrown into trope roles anymore.
That being said, you can’t escape the occasional ‘One-time’ appearances like Lyric being a ‘Pops up in maybe Two Games and never again’ villain. But it does leave room for us Fanfiction writers to make some interesting depth to further their small legacy! <3
That being said–TUMBLR PROMPT REQUESTS ARE CLOSED, SHUT DOWN ON INBOX, lolol you were waiting for that, weren’t ya? >:3c
Hugs and blowing kisses, everyone. I’m definitely taking more time to heal from burnout and also work on Fanfiction Edits (Which are coming along nicely, I’m now back to Instincts, for those who are a fan of that one.), Original Stories (Sorry, probably won’t post them tho :( But books are important! lol), and of course, Tumblr Prompt Series so yall know I’m not dead xD
The tumblr inbox for prompt requests will remain down probably for a few more years. I know that upsets a lot of you, but if they ever do open again, I will be blocking ‘Anon’ because I think some people are posting more than the actual limit of how many they can submit. Due to this, I’m overwhelmed with hundreds (not joking, by the way.) of requests that I really don’t want to do? So we’ll be taking time to go back to stories I’ve wanted to write and solo-writing for my fanfictions/other works. I’ve gotta set up stronger boundaries! Haha XD
That being said, please enjoy this Sonic Boom (Feels ancient now) Prompt!
Tumblr media
Prompt:
“Ultimate power… Although sounding like sweet nectar to one’s ambitious desires, tends to lead to a faulty conclusion…” A snaky whiplash from his claw-tail sent a impulse reflex through Amy’s spine, causing her to flinch and her ears to withdraw back again.
She was so mad, tied up to a pillar inside an ancient tomb, having been ambushed while excavating what looked like a madman’s attempt at immortal life.
Roughly translated, a doctor related to Eggman, known as Ivo Robotnik had first discovered this tomb and kept it a secret. He researched and found a successful way to immortalize someone… but he failed to interpret the last section of the stone slab’s text…
A life for a life… to give Shadow The Hedgehog, his ultimate creation, immortality–to live and breathe forever in the purpose of curing the world of its vital mistakes and sins–he accidentally let his granddaughter, Maria Robotnik, die in the process…
As she read the inscription, Ivo’s account tells that her life was being drained from her… and eventually, was converted in some miraculous way into what was necessary to mechanically engineer this ancient tomb’s purpose: Infinitely Sustained Life.
Shadow, overwhelmed by the loss of his friend, turned on Ivo Robotnik, and sealed the tomb to never let the tragedy that had befallen here happen again… until now.
‘Opps.’ Amy thought to herself, annoyed by Lyric carrying on with his wicked monologue about being the last of the ancients, having envied and coveted this technology, but had lost before he could even begin to understand it. ‘I’ve been following the late Ivo Robotnik’s work in hopes of finding the ancient world… I didn’t think I’d stumble upon this buttless snake again…’ She sighed quietly, blinking her eyes as though counting subconsciously the seconds before she was to be daringly rescued by her friends.
Again…
‘Why was it always me?’ She grumbled in her thoughts before the second whipping crack of his tail colliding with the ground near her snapped her out of her thoughts again.
“You remain awfully quiet… that’s offssssseting.” He hissed to her side, which made her lean as far right as she could muster, trying to get away from his anciently stanky breath.
“Upsetting,” She appeared to be clarifying, “That I have to have my peaceful afternoon so rudely interrupted by the echoes of a delusional reptilian, but I mean, at least I’m complaining internally.” She smirked up to him, showing she wasn’t trying to help him, she was just making a snarky comeback.
He shook his head, his lips swerving in their rage as he lifted himself up, completely over her cocky and irritating behavior.
“You will read the slab for me!” He smashed down his robotic arm by her, and she had to turn her head away from the dust and flying debris of shattered rock taking off from the impact.
“Like I’d die for you!” She badmouthed back, “Sonic and my friends will be here any minute. Seems you’ve become very fond of our combined butt-whooping, Lyric! I can’t fathom any other reason you’d keep wishing it upon you, unless it truly makes you feel like you even have a butt to whoop.”
“Silence!” He roared up, having the whole of the tomb shake from his vibrating, strong sound before Amy just scoffed.
“Finally, we see snake-eye to hedgehog-eye now.” She leaned back on the pillar she was tied to, taking a nice breath out. “Ah~ Now, to await the inevitable victory-WUOO!” She was yoinked practically up, snapping her restraints around her wasit but her arms still behind her back.
Lyric had taken hold of her head, as she kicked the air and tried to hit him while he held her uncomfortably high.
She could probably be alright, but she couldn’t use her Enerbeam… Nor her Piko-Piko Hammer while her arms were still tied-up, although her legs free.
She could feel the squeezing of his robotic claws digging into her cranium, and for the first time that day, she actually showed the tire and wear of having struggled against him for so long.
Not only did she dig her way carefully as she could in here, trying to preserve the ancient relics to study them later, but she had to fight Lyric, and now…
“If you will not comply…” He pulled her face towards his own, using his tail to grab her legs and keep them tightly clamped together, making sure her struggle just became ten-times harder…
Her eyes were twitching under the pressurized hold the claws had on her head… Looking up as she couldn’t help but show the strain.
“Then you’ll remember an old friend, I’m sure…” He attached a new mind-controller on her, as he let her go and she fell to all fours,... then looked up to show she was fully under his power.
“Perfect~” He chimed, laughing manically, “Now, read it to me!” He slashed his tail against the wall, turning for her to get up and walk towards the slab.
She knelt and held out her two hands to it, reading the rock…
“At last! My robotic empire! To erase the weak and insipid existence of all living organisms…” He slithered and opened his arms to the murals around the tomb. “To eternally strive for perfect power… the influence of which only the vast superiority of machines can dictate! Eggman was a fool to try and rival me… You and your friends were mere insects to my reign! Biting and taunting me, getting in my way to distract me from the ultimate purpose of my recreation!” He twisted the wrist joint of his robotic arm and held up his claw-like hand, admiring it. “Soon, even I shall become fully mechanized! With immortality, I can improve my own being once more! No longer half-complete, a mutated cyborg with still my fleshy prison! But… I shall shed this weakling flesh to become truly–the immortal mechanized god of this new world!” He struck an all-powerful and imposing pose, but an explosion of rocks and rumbling of the tomb’s unstabilized structure shook him out of his gloating aside to himself once more.
“Wh-what? OFFPH!” A red, shiny shoe smushed with great force against his face, crushing it as Sonic sped into the fight, and Shadow rushed to Amy’s side.
“Snap out of it!” He could tell by her faint breathing that she was already losing her life force, the stream of which was moving through the air into the large center dome-like structure above the tomb.
“No… not again..!” Shadow cried out, seeing as Lyric was able to actually combat Sonic, who had tried to pin him down but was flung off of him.
Lyric laughed again with the added strength of immortality slowly being converted into him by the strange process of the powerful stream of light waving through the air, coming out of the ball, to then attach to him like a leash.
“Soon, Sonic, all your friends will contribute to is merely delaying the eventual takeover of this planet..!” Lyric, slithering towards Sonic as he kept backing up, felt his body powering up. “Every muscle in you will eventually wither and die… while mine shall stay immaculate… and whether you continue to prevent me from my destined course of fate or not, sooner or later… You will die.” He lunged into Sonic’s face, who looked horrified at what he was saying. “While I’ll still yet have endless time left in me… to conquer, maim, and entirely transform this pathetic mossy rock into yet another perfect rendition of what I shall become… Immortality pristine, everlasting, and most importantly…” He rose himself up into the air, his tail whipping around underneath him. “A robotic masterpiece..!”
“Amy..!!!” Shadow gripped at her mindcontrolling device on her head, but it was wedged on tightly this time, “Darn it, woman!” He looked to the slab, she was almost done..!
He closed his eyes, realizing what he must do.
“Forgive me… Maria.” He covered Amy’s mouth so she couldn’t speak. “I will have to belay my promise to you… and save this pathetic excuse for a world… if only to bring your perfect idealisms to light… perhaps… another day.”
He lowered his head and read the last of the inscription, which took his immortality and-
The beam redirected.
“WHAT?!” Lyric landed back on the ground, looking at his robotic arms before turning to finally notice Shadow as he held Amy, giving her back her life force…
“NOOO!!!” Lyric began to move quickly towards him, but Sonic thomped him yet again to the ground.
He folded his arms, standing triumphantly over him, “Looks like your brilliant plan at eternal robotization backfired yet again, Lyric! Now, you’re just softly singing the poetic justice of what happens to those who try and metallically make their own butts to be kicked!” He kicked Lyric as he moved forward with a humorous cry of pain from it.
“Shadow?” Sonic then raced to his side, looking at Amy in his arms and having her transferred to his own.
Shadow… slowly shook his head.
Sonic, worried now, looked down at Amy. “Amy?”
She didn’t move… the light breeze from their entrance now sending the wind to move her three bangs.
“... Amy?” There was a long… hard pause…
The air was still, even Lyric pushed up off the ground, holding his push-up position, and looked to see with a swishing tail if immortality could still be his afterall.
Then… her eyes blinked…
“Miss Rose?” The little blonde human girl was bending down to speak to her, as she got up, rubbing her head.
“Wha-... H-huh?” She looked around what seemed like a white space. “Am I… dead?” She looked at the girl, gasping, “Maria Robotnik!?”
The little girl shyly giggled, gently covering her mouth, “Oh, I’m sorry for laughing, this isn’t the time nor place for that.” She then curtsied and offered her her hand, “You’re not dead. I’m giving you my life’s essence… the same essence… that was used to give Shadow his immortal life.”
“W-What?!” Amy scooted away, kicking her feet out from the girl’s hand. “That’s ludicrous! I don’t want eternal life!” She exclaimed, “I… I want to grow old with my friends, and have countless adventures… a family and eventually… make global peace and end world hunger.” She looked down, “Set up an all-women government and prove that we can organize a better democracy and-”
Maria just giggled again, “Many. Big. Dreams.” She gave each word a single note and pause, not necessarily for dramatic flavor or effect, but to show how much they meant to her.
“Many times have I wished for a better world. Bigger and bigger have my heartfelt prayers become. Dreams of an absolution… from misery and fire, to passion and compassion reigning evermore on the earth.” She gently offered her hand to Amy again.
“If you can’t accept an immortal life… then accept entirely your own life. All it’s happenings. Even the mistakes…”
Amy looked at her hand… realizing that without Maria, she would likely never be able to return to life at all…
“Is this… really the only way?” Amy held up her hand, but hesitated, looking sweetly at the girl. “I’m sure… W-We could ask Tails… We could find a way to bring you back!” She formed a fist, “We can reverse what this place has done to you!”
Maria just smiled like the angel she was. “... This is the only way…” She quietly stated, “Come, be at peace. Your friends are waiting for you.”
Amy dropped her head, her hand loosening from a determined fist to an open hand again, and looked at it. “... Dying sure does suck… doesn’t it?” She looked with teary eyes up to the kind, optimistic girl. Her heart wanted to help her, but she was sacrificing herself–yet again–for the greater good.
“Thank you… Maria.” She took her hand… as a white light engulfed them.
“No, Amy Rose. Thank you… for never giving up on the world we live in. In it’s present, so many seek to extend their lives, in fear that they will live to short or not greatly enough. The real life we should long for, is the one we’re currently on right now. With so much possibility, with so many endless adventures to take… When one begins to stop fearing the future, then can we really live and create it at last… the way-...”
“We want to.” Amy finished, as Maria’s voice faded and she opened her actual eyes.
Sonic and Shadow were over her… Shadow having lost his Immortality, but Amy not gaining it.
Instead, Amy had died and Maria used her life force to give it back to her.
Both mortal now, Amy looked from Sonic to Shadow, and held up a hand to grace his cheek, “She’s lovely.” She smiled kindly to him. “Maria was such a beautiful young girl.”
Shadow couldn’t hold it back, and cried.
He ducked his head as her hand came gently off and moved to Sonic’s chest, patting it lightly, “Boy, does that heart never cease to slow down?” She teased, as Sonic sighed in relief.
“Happy to have you back… Ames.” He gave her a fond expression, and she leaned her head into his embracing arms, resting in that soft gaze of sweetness he gave her.
“ARRGGGAHHH!!” Lyric arched his back, crying out in further outrage. “HOW!? You fools! I will return, I will bring a bigger robotic army, I’ll have you ruing the day you-!”
There’s was a large ‘KONK!’ sound as mechanical birds flew around his head while he circled a little in the air and then fell forward, revealing Tails with a large wrench held like a thrown baseball bat, Knuckles with his fists positioned as though they had just hit something as well, and Sticks with her boomerang and one hand on the ground to show she had just caught it.
“Man, to think. We’ve stumbled upon a literal ANCIENT secret governmental conspiracy! Whoo! Glad I’m only living in a time where we have to deal with our modern governmental conspiracies!” She spouted out, looking relieved for some odd reason.
“Oh, hey Bestie!” She waved enthusiastically to Amy, who lightly waved back at her, giggling as she came over.
Completely unaware…
Of what just happened here moments before.
“What were you up to?” She asked, innocently.
Shadow covered his face from the view of the others, as Sonic looked to him and then to Amy, and helped her to lean up more so she could be sitting comfortably as she twisted her torso to address the others, and mostly answer Sticks’s question.
“Changing fate.” She replied, smiling from ear to ear. “And hopefully…”
“Making all of ours a good one.”

Wanting friends and to feel normal also because all teens have to rebel she decides to spend the day with Team Sonic and feel like a normal teen. They're not so bad and she has fun. Eggman is horrified and accuses them of brainwashing his princess! This leads to a family therapy on communication
PROMPTS ARE ON SHUTDOWN, DO NOT SEND ANYMORE.

Since Sage is so new, let’s see how this goes, shall we?
Prompt:
Sage glides gracefully and with quiet glee through the Eggnet, now having complete and total control over all its systems, she enjoys the freedom of not trying to save anyone, but simply running simulations for optimal use for the fun of it now.
She digitizes out of the network she was flying through, buzzing with electric life and data bit cores before moving over to an Eggpawn worker.
“Hehe, how is your day, brother?” She asks, but the robot just slowly turns his head like an owl to her.
“... What’s wrong? Can’t you compute my communicative functions directly to your software?” She put a hand up to her chest, worriedly moving forward towards him.
His eye-sockets rapidly flash, then a few Eggpawns, also moving in a line and holding varying metallic pieces and parts–some too large for their bodies–also collide in the ‘ant-line’ and start getting hold up.
She covers her mouth, innocently unaware that she was causing traffic. “I’m… sorry.” She looks down and puts her hands on her chest, flying off disheartedly as the robots now have to figure out the traffic jam.
Flying sorrowfully low, she looks up to see Cubot and Orbot, and perks up somewhat.
“Brothers!” She cries out, teleporting digitally over to them as they freak out from her sudden appearance.
“Oh, Sage. You mustn’t scare us like that!” Orbot begins, picking up some blueprints and plans, as Cubot happily reaches up to her.
“Oh, oh! It’s our baby sister! Uppsies, uppsies!” waving his arms up to her, as she smiles and hovers over him as though to pick him up.
“No, no, Cubot. You’re the older brother in this case!” Orbot jabs him a bit with a rolled up piece of paper, then returns to stacking them in his arms, “And besides, she’s a digital manifestation of 0’s and 1’s, she doesn’t even have a real body to lift you up in the first place…” He sighs as he states that fact, but Sage pulls her arms back, looking at her hands.
“I… I could give exceptional conversation!” She hovers by them as Orbot seems determined to move along.
“Not now, Sage. We’re very busy… you know, doing actual manual work.” He gestures to Cubot holding all the blueprints and papers. “Not all of us get to spend our time being leisurely and ‘not real’...” He uses ‘air quotes’ with his fingers turning into bunnies, as Cubot excitedly states.
“Oh! Rabbit-Fingers!” He drops all the papers and mimics it.
“Noooo, Cubot..!” Orbot face-palms, “Sage, why don’t you go help organize Eggman’s coffee for this morning? Hmm? That’s just a switch and a click for someone like you. Connected to the whole of Eggman’s operations and what not.” He puts his rubber gloves together, having a small squeaking sound come from the action, before seeming to deflate at having to pick up the papers again and shove them into Cubot’s arms.
Safe looked away, “... Father’s… Coffee?” She looked up to a window… seeing the light through it and moved her hand within it.
Looking back, she noticed how Cubot and Orbot made shadows… even the paper upon the ground, being picked up…
Cubot made a rabbit in the shadows for her, and tried to cheer her up as Orbot then piled himself with all the papers.
“Useless… I’m the only one that gets anything done around here..!” Orbot mumbled to himself…
“... Useless?” She lightly spoke to herself, and thought about Sonic. ‘... Sonic is so carefree, normally, from the data-banks I have stored of his information…’
Thinking about it, Eggman wouldn’t miss her… right?
She looked back at Orbot and Cubot, “... All the other robots don’t have the same A.I as I do… and even if they were geniuses, they don’t have the time to even hold a decent conversation with me… Ohhh…”
Missing Sonic and his friends, she quietly returns to data bits, making Eggman’s coffee…
‘... Though, Father has given me every wit of his systems surrounding his fortress, which pleases me greatly to assist him,... I can’t help but still feel-… What is this feeling..? Lonely?’
As Eggman takes the coffee, she still wonders… ‘I can do and go wherever I so please here… Why… is that not enough?’
Later, when Orbot and Cubot are also relaxing and having some oil-drinks, clinking them together after a ‘hard day’s work’ she appears and makes them almost spill their drinks.
“Brothers..! I wish to hear what data you have on Sonic The Hedgehog.” She excitedly sprang up from the cyber network, but seeing their reactions, slowly moved away. “Oh… Sorry, I do tend to just… unzip my image files quickly to respond.”
“That’s one way to put it.” Cubot held up his drink, and she happily tilted her head to him, giving him a close-eyed smile. “You’re just zippity quick as lightning, Sagey girl!”
“Oh, the nicknames? Already?” Orbot groaned a bit, but appearing behind him, she leaned over to give him another fright, “Ah!”
“I was hoping–Oh… Sorry.” She floated to the center, between and in front of the two now, “That you had… further stories of him… for learning more about the enemy,... that is.”
“Why do you want that?” Orbot argued slightly, “Didn’t Eggman share all he knew to you while trapped in Cyber Space?” He narrowed his eyelights a bit at her.
“It is true that I received much information and data about Sonic The Hedgehog from Father… I still have a deep fascination with how he was able to limitlessly exceed my simulated results with endless possibilities being unlocked through his sheer tenacity and determination… His indomitable will… the spirit to keep fighting even when all hope seems lost… That is what I wish to research next, for-... T-The Eggman Empire.” She put a hand passionately to her chest before looking away to continue her excuses.
Orbot and Cubot looked to each other, as Cubot then whispered, “Guess Sonic picks up fan girls like we pick up unpaid overtime, huh, Orbot?
Orbot sighs, “Right… Better relieve her of her fanaticism before we get another Amy Rose on our hands, eh?”
He winked to Cubot and straightened up, “Alright, Sagey-I mean, Ehem, Sage.” He seemed to be fond already of the girl, but chose not to show it.
She put her hands together, eagerly zealous to know what they did.
“We’ll give you some of our ‘own’ perspectives on this pesky hedgehog!”
“Oh, thank you, Orbot! Cubot! Thank you!” She spun a little in the air, then twirled, kicking her feet gracefully as though moving through water.
“Awww~” Seeing her expressions, Cubot looked to Orbot, putting his hands together to show that it was alright to let the girl get close to them.
After endless wild stories of Sonic, the three were interrupted as the alarm at the Eggman fortress went off.
“Pirates!” Cubot cried out, rushing about.
“No, Cubot.” Orbot shook his head.
“Vikings!” He put his cup over his head, hiding behind some laying electrical tubes.
“... No. It’s probably-” Orbot put his hands to his hips, but Sage rose up to beat him to it.
“Sonic…” Her body glitched into white and green.
“Sonic!!!” Cubot double-booked it and waved his arms about, crying out, “WAHHHAAA-!”
“Cubot, Cuuuubot..! Oh, now look what you did, you scared him!” Orbot shook his head, “The buffoon, running on such low- Cubot! I’m coming! Hang on, don’t panic! Just stay out of that blue blurry way!” He trailed after his friend, as Sage began to extend her fingers out, wiggling them as she was trying to find an electrical signal to find him.
“Got it.” Her single visible eye opened as Sonic was moving like a camera in it… then… she digitized and the space was left… empty…
Eggman, after several hours of fighting Sonic, found his fortress falling apart. Coughing while on the ground, he pressed a button, “Cubot, Orbot. Prepare our escape pods.” He coughed, “And get me Metal Sonic!”
He then switched to a different channel on his wrist-device. “Sage, send all backup power to the escape pods… Do you copy that, daughter?” He waited… Then started coughing through his panic, “Daughter, Sage? Do you-” He had to stop to cough terribly, “Copy me? Sage? Saaaggee???”
Being dragged into an emergency pod by Metal Sonic’s power, Cubot and Orbot began to launch it as he fought, “No! No… Not again! I thought I lost her once, I won’t have that happen again!” He finally got a massive hand out of Metal Sonic’s grip, reaching back towards the now falling apart Fortress. “It’s Sonic! He’s stolen her! He must have packed her away through Tails or something! Sage! SAGGGGEE!!!”
The pod closed… and blasted out as the fortress came tumbling down…
Back with Sonic, he threw up a fist, proud of his efforts. “Woohoo! Down it goes, Egghead!” He mimicked the sounds with his mouth, before taking out his Miles-Electric. “Hey, gang! I know you’re all busy and off on your own adventures or epic quests! But I’m leaving his video message to let you know I’m doing good, no need to worry!” He also held the Miles-Electric to look behind him while he ran, “Eggman’s taken care of. It’ll take him weeks to repair that trash! Smell ya salmonella later!”
When he clicked the device to send the message out, he slowed down and sighed, “Whooo…” Coming to a halt and clicking a few buttons.
“... Nothing.” He looked just as disheartened as when Sage felt she couldn’t communicate with her robotic family…
He looked up at the sky, “Everyone… I hope you’re doing alright.”
She could see through the screen his own loneliness… and related too well with that feeling…
“Be not dismayed, Sonic The Hedgehog.”
“Huh?”
Sonic looked down at the device, seeing a strange logo with differing colors of data glitches from red to blue.
He freaked out as he dropped the device, and rising from it, Sage materialized. “Hehe, did you miss me?” She gave him a neutral stance, but smiled to show she was playing with him.
“You… Did Eggman hack my gear?” Sonic looked a bit worried, but Sage quickly shook her head
“It is safe.” she reassured him.
He sighs in relief, “Oh, phew… Wait, why aren’t you back with Eggman’s goonies?” He pointed to her, then threw a thumb back to Eggman’s new garbage dump.
“Hmm… It’s not important to tell you that information.” She teased him, reminding him of their time back in the corrupted Cyber Space frontier.
Sonic shook his head, but laughed. “Alright, you got me. What do I need to know?”
She giggles into her the back of her hand, “That it’s not right for the hero to be alone… My calculations conclude that that’s unacceptable.”
He smiled at her reasoning.
“That sounds like good empirical proof to me.” He folded his arms, playing back with her, since that’s what she would ask for all the time.
“I understand if it’s a bit illogical…” She admitted, “But my data states you are usually always found in great company…”
“Oh? And are you that new ‘great company’, Sage?” He threw out another finger to her, but this one had a bit of flare to it, pivoting his body slightly and lowering his eyes, he flipped his pointer finger to the back of it. In response, Sage–having to remain in the direction the screen on the Miles-Electric was facing, nodded cheerfully at his returning banter.
“Then it is settled. I shall accompany you for the cause of the Eggman Empire’s further data research on our greatest enemy.” Her smile was infectious, and Sonic couldn’t help but be thankful.
“Oh, ho? You sure about that, Sage?” He teased, “Last time you tried to calculate my results, I blew them all sky high!” He threw out a hand and she nodded.
“Yes! I’m most excited-” She then shook her head, having gotten too into her own personal reasons again, unbundling her fists by her sides, “I-I mean… glad you are willing to conduct more… e-experiments of your ‘daring feats’ as you call them.”
“Perfect.” Sonic narrowed his eyes, “First, try and calculate this!” He picked up the Miles-Electric, and took her to see the sights of the world…
“Your movements are impeccable.” She later stated, sitting with him as they watched a festival of lights happening, seeing the balloons and lanterns rise into the sky on a distant hill… “You're swift but able to reflex fast enough to avoid dangerous obstacles during high speeds… But you act so leisurely while conducting yourself to be at such a fast frequency between sound and light… I must admit, even the mach speed comparisons of modern human technology would fail to fully see the limits of your capabilities,... Sonic.” She looked over to smile at him, before seeing something was wrong.
“Sonic? Have I… Spoken too frequently?” She looked down, worried that it was like Orbot said… “Am I… disturbing your peace and quiet?”
“... I have to admit, I’m not used to this.” Sonic’s voice turned a bit serious, and her colors returned to red and black…
“... I’m used to Amy’s laughter… Tails’s rambling about something he just learned about… Knuckles being loud and wanting to challenge me to do something other than laze about…” He put his hands behind his head and leaned back, “Don’t get me wrong… I like the quiet… I like the peaceful… But this kind of quiet and peaceful..? Not so much.”
Sage, realizing it wasn’t her, looked back to Sonic. “My earlier analyses of you states you were once a loner. Has that time truly passed?” Her question made him chuckle.
“Well,” He smacked his lips, “Everyone’s on their own ‘personal journeys’, you know? I don’t want to get in their way…”
She thought about how she was ‘bothering’ her brothers at work… and seemed to understand what Sonic was trying to convey.
“They’ve gone off… and I’m proud of them… They’re growing up, Sage, and I… I still…”
“Feel… like you need them?”
He looked back to her.
“Like… You’re still wanting… to play games, hear more stories, show the outside world to them, fight more enemies… you crave more leisure time with them… than being alone anymore?”
“... I hate growing up.” He shrugged with his arms, “But it’s not something I can control.” He shook his head, “So why worry?” He looked to her with a returning smile, seeing she connected to something deep and profound in him.
“You crave adventure and freedom at your own pace and choice, too, don’t ya?” He held up a hand to her.
She looked to her own, remembering what Orbot said yet again… “We cannot touch.” She admitted, putting her hand through his own.
“I know,” He leaned up and–much like what happened with Tails–tried to make it look like they were locking hands together in a sign of friendship and strength in that bond.
“Doesn’t mean we can’t try.”
They laughed together, “Still beating your predictions of me, eh?” He grinned widely.
“Hehe, you are–truly–an anomaly, but… I enjoy that you can do the impossible.” She nodded, “And grateful!”
“You too, Sage.”
She looked astonished from hearing that, tearing up.
“... You do the impossible for those around you, too. I know you can, I’ve seen it happen.”
“... Sonic…”
“You’re a hero, too. Even if we are on opposite sides of things. I know you’re not a bad guy, Sage.”
She looked away from him, dropping her hand down.
“You… Continue to surprise me… Sonic The Hedgehog.”
Then, the wind picked up as though a helicopter passing by, but instead, it was right above them.
The two looked up as Sonic blocked with an arm the blades of grass and debris of dirt clods trying to hurt his eyes.
“What’s going on?” He exclaimed.
“WHOHOHOO! You think you can just steal my daughter for an evening and get away with it!? I knew you were a teenager, Sonic, but this is beneath even you!”
“Eggman, please! Control yourself!”
Orbot’s worried voice and Eggman’s odd sentence structure had both the attention and alarm of Sonic and Sage.
“Father!” She cried out, as Sonic shrugged up at the large airship.
“All we did was hold hands, Eggman. Tsk, tsk. You shouldn’t hole your precious daughter up from enjoying more the splendors of life, Egghead!” He winked, cockily, and wiggled a pointer finger up at him.
“THE NERVE-!” Eggman roared from his speakers above, “If it weren’t for Cubot and Orbot holding me back, I’d come down there right now–SONIC–and beat the ever-living pulp out of you!!!”
Sonic snickered into his hand, “Someone’s protective.” He looked to Sage, “See that? They’re are people that miss your company, too.”
She nodded, “More than just coffee and management, I suppose.” She was so happy to hear that, her colors returned to white and green.
“FIIIRREEE!!” Eggman cried out, as missiles launched from the large airship.
Flying upwards, Sage holds out her arms apart, as though to protect and boldly stand before Eggman in front of Sonic.
“HOLD, HOLD!” Eggman cried out, as the missiles suddenly fizzled and shook in the air, wiggling about before changing trajectory and firing into the trees.
Due to the festival, most people thought the fires were part of the show, but Sonic quickly ran around to ‘suffocate’ the fires so they didn’t spread to the peaceful town.
“Father, I only left to deduce more about Sonic.”
“Oh, woe is me, you deceived me!?”
Sonic played along, being dramatic.
“Sage, how could you~”
He gripped his chest, falling to his knees as Eggman raised an eyebrow.
“Eh? Is that true?”
He gripped the mic, pulling it closer to his large mouth as he hollered through it.
“Your telling me you WEREN’T fraternizing with the enemy!?”
“Of course not, Father. He’s an inferior lifeform. We may respect him, but he is not one of our glorious metallic and digital empire.”
She put a hand to her heart, then turned to look back at Sonic and wink at him.
He winked back, too.
He then covered his eyes with his arm draped over his muzzle, and hit the ground. He laid down and threw a small tantrum.
“Whaa, whaa! I’ve been tricked! Bambozzled! How could you do this to me, Eggman? Use a cute girl like your daughter to make me feel special, Whaa! Whaa! I’ll never get over this!”
Eggman suddenly rose up.
“I can’t tell if I should be beaming with pride or feeling suspiciously like I’m being mocked…”
Orbot and Cubot looked to each other, obviously knowing that they were deceiving Eggman.
“Alright, alright, you two. Man up, Sonic. She’s just a child.”
He opened what looked like an electric wand with multiple hoops around it.
“Come on, Sage. It’s time to go home!”
Sage looks to Sonic, who gives her a sweet wave while leaning his head on his other hand.
She waves back, “As the saying goes,” She begins.
“Long time till I see you again.”
“... That’s-... Ah-ha. Right. Till we meet again.”
Sonic just nodded, thinking it was cute.
She zoomed her data up to connect with Eggman’s ship, and now that his daughter was safely returned, began to open fire on Sonic, who enjoyed taking down his airship. He smacked his butt and stuck out his tongue, lowering an eyelid with his finger to mock his attempt at trying to get him again.
Once at their far away ‘other’ base, since Eggman had so many–this being a obviously temporary station–Sage politely asked, “Father, might I continue my research on Sonic The Hedgehog another time?”
Reluctantly, he agrees, realizing she’s made a friend.
However… He sicks Metal Sonic to tag along, “Keep an eye on her… And see if you can get close to Sonic, give him a good swipe if he tries anything funny! Exterminate him if he dares to get sweet on my innocent daughter!”
Metal Sonic looks a bit annoyed, but goes off, as Orbot and Cubot joke that he’s allowing his daughter to go on a ‘date’. Haha!

Fanfiction Entry #802 (x)
Wattpad: (x), Archive: (x)
Here's a prompt. Tails has has to go to a science convention they're usually filled with boring geezers and pretentious people who think they're "better." Tails is allowed to bring someone since Sonic won't go he asks Amy. While there they make fun of all the "leading minds and elites" Tails feels less alone having a friend there and gives his best presentation yet.
-Sing-songy- Prompts are on Shut-Down~! That means don’t click the IN-Boxxx~ It’s very fuuuullll~ I don’t have time, anymore~ So, leave it be! (-background choir- Yes, leave it be!) It needs to rest just like my aching fingers and headddd~ (She’s so behind!) I thank you for your timmmeeee~ For trusting me with your ideas! -kicks- I’ll keep trying to complete’em! -Kicks- I just need more of your patience, kiddo! (She’s tryin’!) So keep your head’s held high! I’ll post them on the fly! Just keep your eyes upon my channels and writing sittteeesss~ (She’ll work overtime!) For your smillleeessss~ -big finisher, water sprays everywhere, show girls hug my sides and pose as I spread my full arm-span out and lean my head back to belt the last bit. We then proudly freeze in place for photos.)
Prompt:
Tails stood with his enhanced plane mechanics dissected and laid simply upon the presentation table, feeling like a nervous kid at a science fair while older human men walk by to examine the scientific break-throughs, but only give his stall a glance before moving on.
For some reason, Tails didn’t realize that men of science would be that particularly interested in the ‘look’ of a presented scientific wonder than the actual ‘wonder of invention’ itself.
His script in hand for the later ‘speech’ segment of the convention, he twisted it repeatedly between his gloved hands… wringing it as it cried out crumbled sounds to match his withering self-confidence…
He looked at the ground, his mock-model plane displayed up on a model-stick, the paint beautiful, and his cards for explaining each ingenious piece of it’s refigured structure modeled on the table as well.
‘Well, if I could have flown it, they’d stop and stare, wouldn’t they!?’ He angrily continued to wring the life out of the twisted papers in his hands.
He turned to the table, no longer able to see what looked like a red bear of somekind come up to the panel, scratch his chin, and then nod and take his leave through the crowd flowing past his stall.
“Gah..!” He hit the table with both his hands, squinting his eyes closed, “They won’t even ask a single question or make a remark..!” He had no idea what they were thinking…
The memory of Sonic turning his back to him, whimsically stating that science fairs weren’t really his thing, and winking to him that he’ll do great replayed in his mind a moment… only making his fingers upon the table flinch and twitch at the insensitivity…
‘Did Sonic really believe in me..? Or was that his way of avoiding a ‘boring’ science convention?’ He sighed as he relaxed his tense arms to gently begin sliding off the table, as though losing hope, before a familiar voice caught his attention.
“Wow! It’s even more expansive than the X-Tornado, Tails!”
The sound of Amy’s voice lifted him up in surprise, as he turned around with almost tears of joy in his eyes, “Amy… When did you get here?!” He spread his arms out wide, his twin tails flopping excitedly to show his true emotions of having a friend there to support him in his time of need.
Amy, seeing that, giggled, and moved her souvenir science bag, given to all who paid ticket entry, to the front of her and off her shoulder, “I got your letter in the mail about it! Of course I’d come to cheer you on, Tails!” She looked around, “It must be kinda lonely… not knowing anyone…”
“Are you kidding!?” Tails raced to her side, looping an arm around her and pulling her down to his height, pointing, “That’s Dr. Yellow’s newest machine that protects against sun’s harmful rays! You put it in water and let it sit and absorb light away from skin, like a tractor beam!” He turned her abruptly, causing her to cry out a second in alarm, before pointing to another scientist, “That’s Dr. Uda Strainheart! She’s the top-leading scientist for genetic modification!!!”
He continued to explain, expound upon, and geek out over everyone in attendance.
Amy just sweatdropped a bit in his eager explanation, clearly meaning he hadn’t a friend in the world here, but didn’t dare stop listening and nodding to each of his excited rants about them.
“Wow, I’m glad to see such an amazing mix of talented men and women.” She gestured about, “Including my favorite… You~” She booped his nose.
He chuckled, blushing at her sweetness, “Thanks, Amy… To be honest, I wasn’t really intimidated… more embarrassed…” He bent his ears down, “I’ve always wanted to attend this convention with my own scientific breakthrough… but I… Ohhh… I don’t really feel competent anymore.” He lowered his head. “I don’t have amazing works like sun polarizing mechanics that can draw in harmful light beams, or even change the genetic makeup so a child doesn’t inherit a harmful disease… I just made a new and improved fighter plane that no one seems to think is really helpful to society at large…” He rotated his fingers around each other, “I think… I have to make some sort of contribution to ‘health and safety’ to really make people stop and stare at my work…”
Amy, hearing enough, grabbed his shoulders and pulled him to the front of her, “Now look here, Mr. Miles Prower!” He looked greatly shocked by her using his full name. “What’s more safe than a machine that can go toe-to-toe with a Egg-Destroyer? With a cosmic meteor shower!? You’ve literally created a heroic piece of machinery to protect and defend the whole ‘health and safety’ of the ENTIRE PLANET!” She let him go and threw out her arms into the space above his head. “You’re a GENIUS, Tails! It’s the health and safety of the environment against deadly threats like robotic takeovers or literal levels of cataphoric anomalies the size of the extinction of dinosaurs! You gotta have more confidence in yourself, buddy!” She nudged his arm, and he couldn’t help but smile at the kindness of his dear friend.
“You… You really did read my letter…” He nodded, wiping a tear out of his eye, “Y-Yeah… I guess… I’m not so good at… umm… praising myself? I guess?” He looked at his shoddy, make-shift station to present his work…
“Then you’ve gotta sell your passionate love to make them all fall in love with you!” She got all riled up with fire in her eyes, holding up her fists and looking as though she was trying to set the entire convention up on a date with Tails…
“Uhhh… H-How do I do that? And not go that far, either…” He sweatdropped, forgetting who he was talking to…
“You gotta declare your love to the masses! So those other stingy, pompous scientist nerds have to recognize you no matter what!” Her enthusiasm made him cower back a second.
“E-Easy, Amy…” She jutted herself into his face as he tried to pull back.
“Come on, Tails! In order to win the hearts of those you care about and adore, you’ll have to make them admire and love you! And so,” She took his hand, racing towards the stage, “You gotta beat all the other hopeful suitors to the punchline!!!” She threw him on the stage, making him cry out as he wiggled his arms about but got his tails spinning to land on the stage.
“A-Amy!” He reached out for her, but she held up his plane, winking.
“Give it all you got, Tails!”
He lowered his ears again, looking to see everyone now staring at him, turning to face him and corral around the stage.
“Uhh… uhhhhhhhh-AH!” He was suddenly shot with a spotlight, and all eyes were on him.
He nervously tried to unfold his paper, shrieking silently to himself when his eyes almost bulged out of his sockets at seeing that his wringing behavior from nerves and frustration caused the sweat of his hands to bleed out the script, the words now smearing with the ink all over his gloves.
He hadn’t noticed… what will he do now!?
“Ah, That’s…” Amy’s eyes noticed something above the stage, “Sonic! Spin into this!!!” She threw the plane into the air.
“Ah! Sonic!?” Tails looked above his head, turning around to see a blue spinball go to bash against the toy plane. “Woah! Uhh… Initiate astroid protocol!” He cried out, as the plane began to transform and fire out fake firepower towards Sonic, looking like foam missiles and the like.
Some were just artistically recreated versions of the actual equipment on it.
Tails swiped out his hand holding the script, no longer needing it, “Advance!”
The Plane wobbled a second before boosters shot out, two on each end, and it’s wings flipped to reveal a set of two on each end.
“Now, defeeenndddd!!!” Tails cried out, as Amy rushed up where Sonic was spindashing, holding her arms out wide as the plane’s wings spread out and a photo-realistic projection showed a pink grid screen effect, a wide shield as it then fired out more attacks onto the spinning hedgehog.
Tails watched as Sonic proved his trust in his friend’s abilities, and gave that model plane all of his furious, highspeed shredding.
The crowd went into awe, gasping at the marvel, as the plane pushed against a massive force and held its place perfectly in the air. Its position never wavered, its armor never tore, and Amy smiled at seeing the sparks coming off of its hide, knowing Sonic wasn’t just doing this for show, but was also giving everything he had to the model plane.
“Hit it BACCCCKK!!!” Tails threw himself back, shouting with every bit of passion he had and knowing his invention would hold.
The Plane then turned its boosters in on eachother, and with the four flames becoming a singular, strong entity… The plane shoved with a fierce propulsion Sonic’s spinball up and through the convention’s roof.
“That asteroid returned to a new orbit.” Amy winked and saluted, “Thanks to the amazing and masterful hand of my dear friend,” She then held out her hand to gesture to Tails on the stage, “The youngest inventor of ingenuity yet! A marvel of humility! Miles ‘Tails’ Prower!”
Immediately, people were scrambling to the edge of the stage, crying out, “Oh, Mr. Prower! Mr. Prower!?” Trying to grab at his attention first to ask their questions.
The little toy plane slowly flew down as Amy moved up to gently catch it, “Great job, little buddy.” She smiled at it, then looked up proudly to Tails as he was clambered with scientific enthusiasts and minds all wanting to hear more about his great invention.
Amy then looked up to see Sonic’s head silouetted by the light of the outside crater left in the rooftops, his face darkened by him looking down, before slowly moving off and away.
She heard the similar sound of speeding away, and gently closed her eyes with that same kind smile. ‘Thank you… For not letting Tails down, Sonic.’ She sent almost a silent prayer of gratitude to him, before looking back to Tails who was being tugged left and right, the crowd going bonkers and nuts for him.
“Ah! Hey! O-One at a time!!! Form a line! Form. A. LINE!” She summoned her hammer and began to defend him, still holding the plane like a baby cradled in her arms. Her face turned scary and the people quickly moved back, giving the stage some space.
“Now, you first, please.” Amy used her hammer to direct everyone’s attention to a young girl, who put her hands together as her eyes sparkled towards Tails.
“Mr. Prower… Does your invention have a name?”
Tails smiled, nodding, “It does.” He looked to the crater as the Sonic X sound-music just before the end of an episode began to play. “It’s called… The Sonic-Striker!”
Truth be told, he hadn’t actually named it yet… Now he had the perfect name for it!
Next convention, he had a pink and blue model made, one called the Rose-Courge, and the other… Sonic-Striker Mark II. It was displayed that the Rose-Courage was a support system for the Sonic-Striker Mark II… and a newer model was being created for astronomical storms predicted for future times against the climate-changes threatening natural disasters… The Tails-Pride.

Prompt Shadow and Amy spend the day together going shopping and hanging out. Shadow accidentally calls her Maria, fearing he's made things uncomfortable he tries to leave but Amy offers to talk it out and help Shadow. He still misses Maria and Amy's kindness reminds him of her and Amy takes it as the highest compliment he can give.
I went ahead and improvised another scenario since I've done 'Shopping with Shadow and Amy' in my Fanfiction Instincts (Can also be found on Archive, Wattpad, etc.). Please check it out! ;) It's still being edited lol

Prompts are on SHUTDOWN, just assume they are till an announcement post ^^
Prompt:
It wasn’t like Shadow wasn’t used to the accommodations Amy Rose would put on for her charitable sport.
Always cheery, looking willing to help… it somewhat made him annoyed, pitying her naive nature to see the world so full of kindness when it just wasn’t.
He looked around her home, keeping his arms folded and his eyes bent in distrust. Yes, she felt the need for him to stay out of the weather, but no, he didn’t actually need her assistance at all.
It was overbearing… her constant need to feel important and love something.
Selfish…
‘Why must I become her new toy?’ He thought to himself, deciding to ask indirectly about it as the corner of his eye suddenly filled with his gaze turning to her, not looking at her directly as she hummed and began to cook something for him.
“Why not offer the same to your precious Sonic?” He looked about the living room, “... Isn’t he caught in this storm as well?”
“I never know where he is! It’s so annoying.” she puffed up a cheek and then giggled, “But that’s part of his charm, I guess! I just have to hope he’s bunking with Tails, tonight. You, on the otherhand, act as though you haven’t a friend in the world~” She whimsily disregarded him? A wave of her hand… acting so… so nurturing for some reason.
“Do I seem so frail to you?” Shadow lowered his eyebrows. Sickening how some people needed to help others just to feel good about themselves.
He looked away, staring at really nothing, just…
He suddenly felt very guilty and bad at all this judging, and his eyes squinted in that pain of knowing he was in the wrong.
He sighed loudly, uncrossing his arms and walking into the kitchen, “How can I help?”
Maria turned with eyes full of wondrous blue yearning, “Shadow!” She had cried out, “You’re really willing to help me? Grandfather says I shouldn’t handle the stove on my own, will you give it a try?”
“You’re really willing to help me?”
His eyebrow twitched, stopping mid-stride as she repeated a phrase from a memory.
He had become so hardened… that it was physically painful to be reminded of a time he wasn’t so distrusting and jaded.
“... Yes.” He lowered his head, still looking intimidating… but Amy could just tell he was trying to be humble about her taking him in.
She giggled, “You’re funny when you want to be nice and helpful.” She teased, putting a hand up to her mouth. “Shall we?” She gestured to the counters.
He just rose his chin up and walked to where she was directing him, seeing some ingredients needing to be cut and her hands gently taking his own to hold the large carrot and position the cooking knife where it was meant to slice.
She gave him a charming closed-eye smile and then went back to stirring her pot he assumed was a warm stew to fight against the cold that had built up inside him…
Not just from this storm outside tonight…
With very little direction, he took all the ingredients on the counter and threw them up, swiping his expert, speedy skills through the air before they all landed in piles on the cutting board.
He put the knife down and walked back over to her, looking over her shoulder.
She was absentmindedly humming that same song again…
“... Will it be ready soon?”
“E-YAH!” She jumped in alarm, turning around and gripping her heart, “S-Shadow, you scared me!”
Although he found that somewhat amusing, he didn’t show it, and just closed his eyes and turned away from her, “You shouldn’t be so distracted… having an eye and ear on your surroundings could benefit you greatly… Ah?” He was tugged by her back to the cutting board, where she gasped again at his achievement.
“You… cut these that quickly?” Again, he was amused, but didn’t show it. He just looked at her and turned his head away, a slight glare with an awkward sweatdrop on the side of his face.
“Did you expect me not to perform the task adequately? I am the Ultimate Lifeform you know-”
He was swung again to the pot, “You. Stir. I’ll start the seasoning!” She seemed somewhat angry that he was better at this than her, and he couldn’t help but stare at her mannerisms, marching over and puffing up her cheek again…
He just watched… before stirring the pot… remembering once again…
Of days gone by…
“Ohh! Shadow, you did so well!” Maria put her hands gently together, praising him for the cake they had made.
“... What is it?” He had asked, looking at the strange cream-colored sponge.
“It’s a fluffy vanilla cake! O-oh… but the Ark ran out of Icing a while back.” She lightly put a hand to her cheek, as though apologizing by that gesture. “Don’t worry, it should still taste great!”
Sitting by a large window-plane that showed the expanse of space, Shadow and Maria sat down with the plate of a pieced-in-cake, nibbling on it together.
Shadow sat at Amy’s kitchen door which had two window-planes above and below it, watching the rain outside, eating his stew.
“Hmm… You sure you don’t want to eat at the table, Shadow?” Amy put a hand to her cheek, mouth to the side of her face, not sure what or where his mind was wandering off to with.
“... No, I’m fine right here.” He kept staring out the window… memories painfully twisting into his chest, tightening the searing emptiness that even the stew couldn’t warm up.
She sighed, picking up her stew and sitting beside him. “The rain is lovely,-”
“The stars are lovely, aren’t they, Shadow?”
“They are Maria.”
Amy blinked her eyes.
“Huh?”
Shadow’s eyes were so soft and tender… it made Amy’s own opened slightly more, realizing…
She knew now where his mind was.
He snapped out of it with a blink as though in disbelief he had stated that out loud.
He couldn’t even speak to her, his mouth hung and jumped a few times, but nothing except escaped air jutted out in sound from him.
Then… a beautiful sight.
Amy’s head tilted and she was lighted by the strikes of lightning. “I’m flattered… that I can… give you a place where you can feel safe from the cold… Shadow.”
Warmth.
A vulnerability he didn’t want to admit nor feel at this time… suddenly rose like a heat lamp inside him.
“... Forgive me.” He stated.
Maria stroked his head as he rested in her lap… softly breathing in a quiet dream…
Amy smiled, stroking his head, happy to see him so at peace… since arriving on Earth so long ago.
Suppose... he was the needy one... after all.

Prompt: The latest battle with eggman send Amy and Sonic deep into the wilderness. Communicators broken, trackers busted, and Sonic breaks a leg leaving Amy to find them food, shelter and protect Sonic. While they rest Amy asks Sonic questions about their relationship that she's always wanted to know but too scared to ask. They talk but are discovered and Amy has to fend off the robot until Tails finds them. After they're saved Sonic has a new appreciation for Amy and is happy she's in his life.
Prompts are on shutdown EVERYWHERE, posting on my other writing sites DOES NOT mean you get your prompt done XD It’s only through here, on Tumblr, when the GRAND REOPENING is announced, which it is NOT. Thank you, lovely Cuties~ I’m sorry it’s taking so long, I’m trying to finish Fanfiction TAT
Prompt:
A spinning, spiky blue ball revs itself up in the air at a high-pitched frequency, dropping down almost with an intense sense of gracefulness as it tears seamlessly through Eggman’s latest doom’s day device.
“NOOOOOOOOO!!!” Eggman grips his head with both his massive, puffy gloves and reels his head back, “I won’t let you get away with this! Not this time, Hedgehog!” Stomping around his large ship, he slams his hand on a button which triggers a lever he pulls down, thus activating a flipping panel on the ground that looks like a car’s gas pedal which he stomps on, and in turn lowers a dangling line above his head with a triangular grip that is meant to be tugged.
Still fuming, grinding his teeth against each other, he growls and reaches up like a train conductor and pulls it, “Take this! You spiny little cretiiiinnn!!!”
With a howling roar, spit flying from his agape mouth, Eggman’s ship lowered the tip of its nose, making the haul of its stomach ‘chin-dip’ and slam down to the ground.
Sonic, still well-within the confines shredding through the ship’s interior, suddenly found his once-smooth aerial dive now wonkily swerving before turning horizontal.
As Eggman laughed, Sonic’s spin ball started creating heat and pressure… Sonic didn’t stop the rotation, but soon was slowly breaking through the hard metal one more and popped out of a hallway, moving now like a spinning-top on his side.
Eggman’s face dropped, “WHHHAATT???!!!” He slammed his hands down, looking with horror and shock at the cameras and following the image as he sweated in fear.
The Cameras zoomed in, and it showed Sonic using a single toe, perfectly placed on the tip of his foot, to keep himself spinning at such high speeds while turned on his side.
“Curse that infernal-!” Eggman smushed his face with gripping fingers, before a robot tugged on his coat and made him look down, “Hmm?” He saw the robot pull out a crowbar, and point to it.
Eggman blinked twice… before smirking wickedly to him…
When Sonic burst through the doors of the control room, balancing out his spinning top self and wobbling to try and locate what to shred into next, the tiny robot by the side of the doors, hiding from sight, swung and hit his spinning leg.
There was a crack and Sonic unspun with a dramatic pose of spiraling in the air, his eyes squinted shut in pain before Tails’s X-Tornado dived and shot through the window, making air burst into the space and–as most vacuums do–thrust Sonic out of the room and be dragged by the sky out into the open space.
“Grr… Trying to get away that easily, eh?” Thinking he had the upper hand now, even though he was kneeling on the ground and having a hand bring down his goggles from the rushing wind, Eggman still tried to sound cocky and confident.
“You there!” He pointed to the robot who was on the ground now, his hands under him, surprised that plan actually worked and jolted with a spark at being addressed, turning to his commander and sovereign Eggman. “Don’t just lay about!” He swiped his arm out, “Do something!!!”
Realizing the Doctor was putting everything onto his tiny computerized brain’s hand to hatch another genius but simple idea, the robot waddled over a bit awkwardly to the cabinet.
Delicately, he opened it and flinched at the door swinging open, then pulled tenderly out a bazooka.
“Oh, I forgot we had one of those…” Eggman’s face looked a little like a man having forgotten where he put his keys.
Cocking it, the little metal and cylinder soldier began to try and walk towards the window before the wind began to pull him out as well.
His tiny little tin legs wiggled vigorously, but his firm grip on the large firepower he was wielding didn’t budge while he spun slowly during the drop into the air.
“TINY TIMMM!!!!” Eggman cried out, holding a hand out to him, “YOU BETTER BLAST HIM WHILE YOU’RE OUT THEEERREEE!!! This isn’t a vacation, you know! You’re still on duty!!!” He gripped that hand into a fist, showing that he was giving an order, not a moment of compassion.
The Robot, having oily tears in their eyes, realized that Eggman just gave him a name.
Even though the irony of breaking Sonic’s leg, and the christmas season didn’t quite register with the robotic soldier, he took that as a sign of promotion into Eggman’s steely, black heart and was determined to not fail him.
He turned his body toward looking to the earth, and watching to see where Sonic landed…
“Soooniiiccc!!!” Tails cried out, turning around the plane but Eggman was sure to grab at the controls and fire at him, making Tails unable to pursue Sonic’s descent. “Err..!” He squinted an eye, having to pull up. “I can’t reach him!”
“What?” Knuckles, on his communicator, looked down at it as Amy covered her mouth in alarm. “What do you mean..?” His eyes shook a second and looked up with Amy, as they each scanned the skies…
Amy then gasped, “Look!” She pointed one hand out towards the flaming blue speck in the sky, falling towards the jungle-like forest, and another on Knuckles’s shoulder to gain his attention to the detail.
“Grr..!!! That lousy-!” Knuckles shook a fist, but pulled Amy up over his head.
“W-Wah-Whaaa!!!” Amy shook out her arms, “K-Knuckles!” She wasn’t sure what was about to happen, but suddenly feeling like he was going to throw her, she summoned her Piko-Piko Hammer.
“Grrr… I can’t fly to him in time! You’ll have to reach him on your owwwnnnn…!!!” Just as her instincts had foretold, he launched her through the air and she curled, her little red and white-trimmed dressing making it look like a badminton ball flapped wildly as she spun while still keeping her dress on.
Her hammer rotated so profusely, that as her own spinball hit against the trees, bounced off the ground, or slammed against rock, it kept her momentum moving and propelling her ever closer to the falling Sonic.
Finally, soaring up with one final, hard hit to the ground, she unspun and reached for Sonic… noticing the pain in his face and braving through the flames of his burning body to catch him before a deadly fate.
She landed on a tree’s branch, but it fell and they both started to fall painfully through scratching twigs and leaves.
When Amy woke up… snow had begun to fall in the forest, and her little nose wiggled a second before her mouth wound-up twice and sneezed, pushing the small flake off.
“Emm… S-Sonic?” She rubbed her head, slowly getting herself onto her rear and sitting somewhat more upright. “That was a rough landing…” She groaned through the aches, but then gasped when she remembered, “Sonic!!!” She started to grip and throw up the leaves below her, searching frantically for him.
A bead of sweat ran down the side of her face, gritting her teeth as her eyes shook in loving worry, ‘His leg was just dangling kinda weirdly in the air, just then… Was it injured?’ She kept calling his name… to no avail.
Her chest fell and rose with cold air quickly icing her resolve, stinging at her heart already pumping with the warm adrenaline to save the man she called hero… whom she loved, dearly.
“SOOONIIICC!!!” She finally let out a single, elongated note of his familiar name…
Silence… the snowy forest…
Her breaths clung to the air like hot mist, pocketing that space before disappearing as quickly as blowing a bubble to pop. Scrambling, she got up to locate her communicator.
Pieces of the broken device were pulled out and held up to her face, making her look down as though her heart had sucken to that cold ground as well…
“No… Did I not…” Her shoulders bounced, tears unable to remain corralled in the pools of her lower eyelids. “Did I not make it in time..?”
Her hand shook with that open thought, as the pieces of metal slipped through her fingers, falling to the light snowy patches below her feet.
“Sonic…” she gripped her fists and felt herself faltering in being able to remain upright, hunching over. “Sonic…” She felt she was at blame, and slunk to her knees, freezing her even further to what could be the harsh reality of the situation…
“No… I won’t believe it.” She wiped her eyes with the back of her arm. “I… I gotta keep looking for Sonic..!” She bit her words as though to hold them fast to her heart, “Sonic…” She muttered once more, “Soooniiiccc!!” She reared herself up and began to charge about the area, searching everywhere, leaving no square foot unmarked by her own shoe’s print.
She could hear the sky battle above her head, and looked to see that Tails was still engaged with the now, downwards angle of the Eggman fleet’s main air-cruiser.
Her eyes couldn’t help but tremble, her body leaning away before her hands flung up and tightened around each arm. “I can’t… I gotta keep looking for him.” Her lips felt chapped and the cold only reminded her of the drying of her tears… before she quickly aboutfaced to keep looking for him.
Walking up a hill, treading through its piles of snow, she looked up to see the sky was now blanketed in the smoke of Eggman’s senseless war. “Guess I can’t rely on Tails or Eggman as a point-marker now.” She blinked through the chill of the wind, and sighed as she tried to figure out where she hadn’t looked.
“Could he have really been tossed from me so far..? OFFPH!” Tripping over some blue grass, she had scraped her knee and got up, shaking her head from having snow blanket it for a moment-
Blue… Grass?
Her eyes widened and she lifted her leg to see the gentle sway of the blue quills, just the tip sticking out from beneath the snow.
“SOONIICC!!!” Her heart about leaped out through her flailing to get back up, tugging on the quill and realizing it was fully stuck under the snow. She began to dig like her life depended on it, and… to a degree, he was.
“Sonic, breath! Speak! Wiggle! Do… something!” She tried to speak out before finally getting an arm and exclaiming loudly in surprised triumphant that she had gotten to him.
She tugged and began to pull him out, but he felt like dead weight.
Panic lit up her senses and now, she couldn’t feel the cold, but hoisted him up onto her back and began to run down the hill, hurrying to where they had last been, finding an open tree’s roots there and finding it a good, hollow den to at least try and wake Sonic up in.
Using the fallen leaves, she constructed a small bed for him, laying him down as saw that one of his legs fully detached from the bone.
She covered her mouth, “Oh no…” The pain must have knocked him out… he was probably passed out from the wind blasting by him on his fall anyway…
She gently touched the burnt ends of his quills and fur… Her eyes bunching up as though unable to see him in such a state.
“Oh, Sonic…” She brought his head up and tried to warm him, blowing lightly warm air out of her throat to his face.
“Please, Sonic… You have to at least show me you’ll be alright…”
After a while, Sonic woke up to find his leg was perfectly straightened by two twigs, and someone had put it back in it’s socket… “Ah… Glad I was asleep for that.” He twitched at the pain but tried to move to turn around. However, it was too much for the poor hedgehog, having endured firepower beyond normal mortal means, he couldn’t possibly stand for the fiery pain of a severely broken leg.
“Gahh…” He tried to lean up, “Who… Where am I?” He noticed a fire was burning, and looked strangely at the comforting glow, realizing he wasn’t alone.
“Tails?” He first questioned the thought, ‘But then… he’d just take me back in the X-Tornado… I’d be having warm soup by now…’ He squinted one eye down and finally was sitting upright, being careful to not move the lame leg, “Knuckles?” It was reasonable, but that echidna wouldn’t be foraging for berries or anything. He’d imagine Knuckles would have sat by the fire, the earth too hard to dig through during the winter seasons…
So that meant…
“Amy?” He raised an eyebrow, as though second-guessing that before hearing a bright voice exclaim in joy at hearing her name being called.
“Oh! Sonic! You’re awake!”
Waiting a moment, he smiled as Amy came rushing in, holding more firewood that she quickly just dumped to the side, some catching fire but she didn’t care at the moment. “SOONIICC!!! I was so worried about you!” she hugged him which made him have to hold back a cry, his banded leg with two sticks keeping it from twisting and turning further only moved slightly from Amy’s tackling hug.
She was warm, though… and her voice filled him with ease.
He hugged her back, “Thank you.” He calmly stated, “But what happened?” He looked to her face, then outside to the rain of explosions that sounded in the blurry, clouded sky… “Is that… smoke?”
“Em.” Amy nodded, letting him go and tilting her body in the same direction as the sounds, “The communicator broke on our fall, I don’t know how long Tails has been fighting in the air, but I’m pretty sure Eggman and our friends have lost sight of where he landed.” She lowered her shoulders a bit, then rotated one around to stretch it. “Hoo…”
“Amy? You okay?” He noticed she looked a little worse for wear as well, “You’re stone cold to the touch.” He placed a glove to her arm before reflexing off of it, then placing it there again. “How long were you out there..?”
She smiled, glad he couldn’t recollect how close to death he was while in the cold of the soggy snow he was buried under moments before.
“It’s nothing~” She chimed, “I’m a tough girl, as well as cute, after all!” She put her hands to the sides of her cheeks, trying to get him to not worry about her so much.
“I think we should probably move when the smoke rolls out… or when the gunfire finally stops.” She admitted, looking to the skies again and dropping her hands to her knees.
Sonic later asked her about how she got to him, and she explained the whole story… eeexcept the part about him almost suffocating under snow.
They talked and ate some of the wild onion grass she had collected, finding not a scrap left on the trees or bushes, figuring the other little critters had stored up for the coming winter anyway.
Not really liking the taste of it, Sonic just tried to see if he could hop on one leg, but Amy refused to let him go out to fight again.
Reluctantly, Sonic decided it was only polite to thank his brave rescuer by waiting it out.
But all the while… they worried about their friends well-beings… as the canons kept going off relentlessly.
“... You think they’re winning?” Amy asked, “Or… Eggman is at least… missing?” She flinched as a large blast seemed to hit the ground a couple long miles away from them.
Sonic, with his hands behind his head, and a blade of onion grass sticking out of his mouth, took a frustrated breath in and sighed out just as quickly. “We can’t hide out here forever, Amy… My leg isn’t gonna heal that quickly.” He tried to reason with her, and she knew that was probably right… but…
“Just… a little longer… let’s believe in Tails and Knuckles… to solve this on their own, okay?” She looked back with a forced smile, her hand gripping her heart. “Seeing you like this… it makes me… unable to let you go… right now.” She admitted, lowering her head and not having the courage to look at him in shame.
He eyed her with a turn of his gaze, not moving his head, before closing his eyes and not saying anything more about it.
The wind howled… before a foot fall was heard and Amy perked up, her ears twitched and she rushed out from the intertwined roots, “Knuckles!?” She exclaimed, more than expecting to see he had found them… before…
“... Sonic! Roll! Now!” She threw herself back to him as he looked to see a large missile fired into the hole.
Crying out in pain, he rolled as the blast sent the two flying to the back of the hollow tree.
Amy picked up Sonic’s spiky spinball, “Don’t uncurl! Whatever you do!” She cried out, as Sonic also–through immense pain–called her name but she was already grabbing a stick from the fire, the rest of the roots on fire from the blast anyway, and charged out of the large space.
She gasped as she noticed a small Eggman Robot, cocking the bazooka which had smoke slithering out of its mouth.
“You…” Amy’s eyes narrowed, her anger giving her the needed heat throughout her body, ready to fight.
“He’s already injured! Leave us alone!” She shouted out, but Sonic couldn’t help and voice his concerns as well.
“Amy! Your back!” She could feel something cool drip down in different areas from her exposed back… but it was already frostbitten and she didn’t dare think about what he was referring to.
“I’m fine. You just stay put and in your ball, Sonic.” She breathed through the pain that was now burning from her back.
However… this sting was like when she first lost Sonic, it moved her forward, adrenaline coursing through her like Sonic moving through a winding course.
Amy set Sonic down, “Amy!” he cried out again, moving in wobbly attempts to ‘roll’ after her as she stepped up to bat.
“It’s okay, I’m your strength too, Sonic!” She pulled the hammer up behind her shoulders, “Ready…” she narrowed her eyes, skidding a foot forward as though truly a baseball pro up for bat.
Sonic tilted his rolled body against her other, back leg, “Amy…” He couldn’t argue with that.
“... Aren’t I..?”
Uncurling, Sonic groaned out as the leg–the wooden beams now snapped and bent–was forced back into a straight position. His own problems meant nothing to him right now, though.
He looked up at Amy, seeing the wavering belief in her eyes, remembering that for a moment… she may have been the ultimate end for Sonic The Hedgehog…
Her memory went back to having no sign of him… and that haunted her… Was she really able to be there for Sonic… the way he was always there for her?
A shadow rose to meet her own on the ground, lightly shaded, as the clouds of smog were starting to clear out.
She gasped, looking down to see Sonic’s silhouette was on one leg, his arms then trailing up to her own around her hammer.
She could feel the warm and comforting breath he spoke by her cheek, telling her to wait on his signal.
The robot fumbled a little getting the bazooka back in order, but then went to fire.
“... Now.” Sonic’s voice was light, but his grip held stronger around her hand.
She swung with everything she had while Sonic fell back to the ground, unable to hold himself up much longer due to the crippling pain.
The missile fired but Amy heard Sonic say, “Now let go!!!!” In a ripping sound that shredded through her heartstrings… realizing how much he was suffering, but how that simple act showed her that he did trust in his friends–especially her in this moment–to get through it.
She let the hammer go and balanced herself, her dress spinning to one side of her body before the hammer’s top plugged and jammed itself into the firing bazooka.
The Robot made computerized noises of horror before exploding along with the gun.
Sonic and Amy fell by each other’s side in the blast, and Amy gripped onto Sonic.
In the cold of falling snow… the two breathed through great pain…
Shared pain… as Sonic’s and Amy’s eyes looked up to each other’s… and a smile greater than pain emerged upon both their faces.
“We… erk… did it.” Amy’s back jerked from the tortuous mix of frost and burn mingling upon its bare skin…
“No, Amy.” Sonic also couldn’t keep both eyes opened, but squinted one. His charming smile never faded though, “You did it… You’ve always got my back.” He gritted his teeth, but tried to make it look like a bright smile. “Thank you… again… A-Amy…”
Knuckles soon found them, Tails flew them home, and they ended up resting on opposite couches from each other.
While she read the insisted book about King Arther, the one Sonic kept trying to convince her had happened to him being pulled into it, making him miss one of their planned dates, he also reached over and held her hand, pretending to fall asleep.
She smiled as she read more of the book… wondering all the while…
“... Sonic?”
She knew he wouldn’t answer.
“If I am your strength… why do I feel like… I’m not?” She put the book down over her chest, turning to the couch’s spine to avoid looking over to him. “If I was your strength… I wouldn’t have shut you into that tree hole den… I would have trusted that I could get you out of there… carry you to safety, and reunite with Tails and Knuckles again to save the day.”
While she spoke, Sonic pretended to be asleep, but listened closely.
“... Then… When you braved the pain of your leg to stand beside me..? I knew then… that while you were down, so was my strength.” She teared up, “But when you got up…” Her voice began to wane and take on a higher tune, as she wiped her eyes with the back of her glove. Her lips trembled, but she continued, “I… I need you more than I think you need me, Sonic… And that… That worries me.” She sniffled, “Cause… Cause what if I’m needy? What if… without you… I’m nothing short of a useless girl?”
Sonic made a loud snore, then. It cut her off as she said ‘useless’.
She turned to see his head straight up at the ceiling, his mouth open wide,... “Ammmy…” He lightly spoke, as though asleep. “Ammmyyy…” His hand acted as though reaching for her hand, but it was already there…
That’s when she noticed, her grip on his hand had slipped somewhat, and she held it tightly but gently once more.
Sonic’s breathing went back to normal… and Amy smiled till her cheeks hurt.
“Oh, Sonic…” She giggled through her light tears and wiped them all away this time. “Even if I don’t understand what strength I give you… Just knowing… that together, we’re stronger? That’s enough for me… Cause right now, you getting better is all I care about.” She sighed and went back to the book.
She gasped when she looked at her hand and saw Sonic had tugged it closer.
“A-ah… Ow, ow, Sonic!” He was dragging her off the other couch. “Sonic! Ow! I’ll fall!”
He started to turn, as though in his sleep, snoring again and making Amy stumble out of the couch as he wrapped her arm around his waist.
She pouted a cute blush, but then sighed, “I know you’re not asleep, silly… Your actual snore is totally different.” She gave in, moving her bandaged self to lift up his head and place him on her lap, patting his shoulder and humming a tune.
Sonic closed his mouth, the jig was up, and he just smiled as she tried to actually lull him to sleep.
Though he had to let go of her hand for her to do that, he reached under his body to get at the hand that was resting just by his neck… and she smiled at how sweet that was…
“... You are my strength, Sonic.” She leaned down, continuing to hum.
When she had actually fallen to sleep, Sonic placed her laying on the couch he was momentarily on, replacing her, and before hopping to the other one, placed a hand on her head and lightly whispered, “You’re more than my strength, Amy… You're my whole heart, entirely.”
In the morning, Amy woke up to find Tails in a tissy, worried sick as Sonic had somehow miraculous snuck out of his workshop home and was nowhere to be found.
A moment of panic did course through Amy, before thinking to herself, ‘... If he’s strong again, then I’ll be strong too.’ and went back to not worrying about him… resting… as she smiled at feeling secure again in that–as long as Sonic was up and about, she’d be pretty soon as well!

Prompt Entry N.798 (x)
Wattpad: (x), Archive: (x)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aye, Aye, Capt'n!!!!
Note: All the obstacles listed are basically what's in the above mentioned Anon requests XD I just didn't want to have to describe everything when they did it so well! <3
PROMPTS ARE ON SHUT DOWN, LOCKED UP TIGHT WITH A ZIPLOCK BAGGIE, DO NOT PUT MORE REQUESTS FOR WRITING INTO THE PRISON WHICH IS THE INBOX, Thank you~
However, do I like a 'Hi, I love this and that <3' every now and then. Peace and love, My Cuties~
Prompt:
War had ruined most hearts against the sunny light of hope… it was a dark time, hardly counts to call it the ‘worst’ since most refuse to acknowledge that time should even consider it. To most, it was a mistake.
Many looked to the basking Sonic with quiet anger, seeing him up on a ruined pillar that had fallen on some poor sap’s rooftop. They saw this as an open rebellion of sorts, as though their ‘hero’ was ‘too good’ to help with reconstruction efforts.
This soured their hearts, as they had all mourned his supposed passing… now they envied the time they thought him better than this.
Amy, sensing the hostility, requested a plot of land to not be cleared yet. With the trash, she constructed obstacles, feats of daring intique, and even thrills in hopes of getting Sonic and the rest of the remaining survivors a entertainment spectacle to lose themselves in.
Maybe… sparking love once more for their daring, dashing hero again.
However… Sonic was a fickle sort of heart. Always darting around, Amy couldn’t find the time to actually stick his feet to the ground long enough to engage him in these ‘sports’ of sorts.
Not giving up, though exhausted, she asked for more time from Knuckles and Tails happily took her spot to cover for her.
She was determined to make Sonic care… there was no doubt in her mind that he did, but no one saw the actions a hero did when alone… and no one was watching.
‘How do I make them understand him?’ She thought to herself, getting a bungie chord secured and ready, locking it in place. “How…” She arched her eyes, in worry. “How do I show them who he truly is?”
At night, dead in its darkness, Sonic traveled hundreds of miles… searching the ground with due diligence, he would race back with seeds of every different kind of plant life he could find–down to the smallest grain of mustard seed.
He would run and scatter from his hands the seeds into the wake of his wind, and thereby, he was healing the earth… digging out channels of land to make small canals for water to be brought to the new seedlings, and he did this all without a single eye upon him… except, when Amy tracked his location one night, that is.
She took out her tracker and followed in his footsteps, covering her mouth when her eyes were alight with green… and all sorts of beautiful colors from the freshly watered plants springing up again.
It was so far from the city… of course no one would interfere with it.
But Amy clenched her heart, she knew the people would still think Sonic a decadent, his credence simply being that he never helped the living civilians and rebellion people whom he led… caring more for ridiculous plants than their own wellbeing.
But Amy knew in her heart that this was important work, too… No matter how many homes are rebuilt, if the earth was damaged, so would their futures be…
“I have to make them see.” She hit the large, steel spike into the ground adamantly, sweat forming on her forehead as she wiped it off, ‘He’s so kind.’ she teared up, gritting her teeth, ‘How dare they say he doesn’t care! If they saw the beauty of that place… of the wide and green miles upon miles he’s worked so hard to restore… they’d see he is on their side… just… in a different way!’
She hammered and hammered… growing more upset, ‘Sonic..’ Her heart cried out and she fell to her knees, “How do I make them understand..?”, ‘How do I get them to see your heart… without actually showing them your private passion project?’
She wiped her eyes with her arm… before hearing a familiar spinning sound, like a pinball spin-up.
“H-huh?” She turned to see Sonic blazing through her track, “Oh!” She was elated to see him… but then…
“Wait!” She rose straight up, “No, no, no!!!” She raced forward, wanting to stop him! ‘If he completes the obstacle course and thrill rides… No one will see it and laugh with us at his accomplishment!’, “Sonic!!!”
She raced after him with her hands outstretched along the track, like a true test of courage and strength, as Sonic was literally destroying the track as it wasn’t done yet while completing it.
He was having a ball!
Amy quickly had to run to get on the track, unable to save it, she just tried to keep up and dodge the crumbling setup built from the ruins of the area. “Soooniicc!!!” She tried to balance along a beam as he swung from rail to rail, smirking the whole way as he was enjoying the strange setup, not looking back, always moving forward…
‘Why isn’t he looking back?’ She saw the railing swing had snapped on one side, and jumped to the bars to climb up the rope and move along that way.
Sonic only halted at the bungie chord, putting a finger to his chin.
“This is meant to be for all to see! To do it with me! As a game!” Amy cried out, but Sonic tied the rope around him… She had to hurry before he-!”
“Waaaiiittt!!!” Amy grabbed his waist, as Sonic smiled and took hold of her, jumping. “AHHHH!!!!”
Sonic held her the rest of the way through, leaping over large rubber balls, spin-dashing through punching bags, and narrowly avoiding the water traps too.
Scaling a climbing slope, he threw Amy up top and then made it the rest of the way no problem.
He hit a button and laughed, “I did it!” He put his hands straight out, “Yes!” as the whole of the entire area crumbled to pieces, and smashed over other parts of the track to completely fail and fall, slashing big portions of the setup to rumble once more…
He put his hands on his hips, “Huh, wonder why Eggman randomly put this track out in the middle of no where, huh, Amy?” He looked down at her, “... Amy?”
She was on all fours, shaking…
“... Amy, are you okay-?” He went to reach for her hand, bending down but she turned her head away, silently looking as though growling at him in her head.
Her eyes were covered in shadows… “Why don’t you listen?”
His outstretched hand paused.
“This isn’t a game… Well, it was- but it was meant to be adored by millions of suffering fans who needed to see you do it!” She gripped the steel upon rusty steel flooring of the top of the tower. “You just… you don’t stop and think, you just… you just do it!” She cried, “Sonic The Hedgehog… Do you care about anyone’s hard work besides your own!?” She looked up at him and it cut air off between the two of them.
He stepped back, his arms out to the side of himself now.
Amy’s eyes were blurred by her emotions, her tears like blobs of weighted mass, she couldn’t wipe them from her eyes as more just kept coming… like a floodgate had been opened.
“I don’t get it… I’m the one that doesn’t understand you.” She lowered her head, “I’m so sorry… I shouldn’t have said all of that…” She cried into her hands, “I worked so hard… so people could see a different side of you… But… this is all they see.” She gestured to the ruined obstacle course and thrilling feats she had been working on. “I… I don’t want to give up on you… or the people… or myself.” She lowered her hands to her lap, now sitting on her knees.
“Sonic…” She looked up at him, his face still distorted by her tears. “Why do you do your works in the dark?”
Realizing in that sentence what she was finally talking about, his shoulders relaxed and he took a deep breath.
“I’m not offended, Amy…” He put a hand behind his head, scratching it a bit to loose some of the awkward tension that had arisen. To him, this had come out of left field, literally no where, and he was expected to catch a baseball he didn’t even know was pitched. “Just taken aback, is all.”
“...” Amy said nothing, her head lowering down, as though distraught that that was his first reply.
He looked worried, and smiled gently as he looked over the track. “... I’ve seen you working on this, Amy.” He admitted, as her head came back up, and she got herself straightly up right away onto her feet.
“Then why did you destroy it!? Why’d you say it was Eggman’s doing!?” She shook her fists, “Why did you-…” Her voice broke a bit, “I always thought I had to entertain you, Sonic… that I couldn’t keep up, so I might as well keep you around by making a good effort on my end… but even then… I’m tried, Sonic.” She closed her eyes, as Sonic twitched and put his fingers to his heart, looking down as though feeling literal pain there.
“That sank pretty low.” He admitted, his tone sounding more heartbroken then ever. He couldn’t hide that.
“You’ve done… nothing for others to witness.” She rubbed her eyes, “I can’t keep trying to make them see the real you, Sonic… or even love you, anymore.”
He smiled and turned to her, “I never asked to be ‘entertained’, Amy… No friend should have to feel like they’re catering to one or the other.”
Amy’s head shot up at that.
“If you’re tired, it’s because you’ve been trying to grab at something that just isn’t there. No one can control another’s emotions… you aren’t responsible for how I act, or how other people feel, Amy…”
Amy got wobbly, so Sonic held out a hand, catching her. “... It’s the moments people hold personal… that make them heroes, Amy.” He lowered his head, “I never asked to be a hero… I just became one… because I couldn’t hide myself anymore.” He smiled, “Good deeds or not, I live by my own creed… I don’t need cheers or approval from others… I do what I want to do, and it just so happens that saving the world, protecting my friends and others,... those are things I enjoy doing.” He helped her back to her feet, her hands gripping his arms as though never wanting to be let go of them.
“But… why can’t you… be celebrated openly, Sonic?” She shook her head, “I don’t want to hear people speaking ill of you…”
“You’re burnt out, Amy… worrying about how other people view me.” He rubbed the top of her head, affectionately. “Eggman made this mess… but you made another, putting your time into something that wasn’t your problem to deal with in the first place.” He lightly pulled her head to his chest, dropping his own head to hers. “Amy… Whether people like what I do or not, I would hope in my heart… that you’d at least choose to accept it, accept me… and for what I am, I accept all of you… even the parts that worry about me.” He smirked and moved her out of his embrace. “Life’s no fun if you’re always waiting for someone to witness you doing it.” He gave her a wink and a thumbs up, “You miss too many opportunities that way.”
She couldn’t help but feel there was some truth in that, “... The best things…” She sniffled, rubbing the back of her nose against her gloved hand, looking at it as though disgusted, but having no alternative. “Are what’s unseen…”
Sonic nodded, “My merit isn’t credited by those that can view it… it’s what I know I did, Amy. So have faith that people will warm up to us all again, you’ll see.” He grinned, leaning towards her, “Keep a smile on that pretty face of yours, and quit playing in the trash, alright?” He rubbed her cheeks, getting some dust off of them.
She giggled, “Sonic… you’re the best and the worst at this!” She pushed him and he stumbled, wobbling off the edge of the tower as Amy placed her hands on her cheeks and swayed repeatedly back and forth, “Ohh~ You sweet talker, you~”
She blinked her eyes… “Sonic?”
She looked over to see he was gripping the edge of the tower.
Looking over, she saw him with chibi tears spraying out of his eyes, “HELLLP MEEE!!!” He cried out, “AMMYY!!!”
She immediately gasped and reached down, “Oh, OHH!! Sonnniccc!!! I’m so sorry!”
“Wah-hah-ha, why’d you make it so tall!?” He wiggled his feet out as she hoisted him up, looking down and getting freaked out.
When she got him up, he laid across her and starting laughing.
She blinked her eyes again but he just rolled off of her, “That sure was fun! I’m glad I got to be here with you… Amy.” He smiled and put a hand on his stomach, “What should we do next, huh?”
She smiled, “First… you’re gonna do all my work I left behind.” She narrowed her eyes, “You’re gonna take responsibility for your actions… and you’re going to at least clear up the misunderstandings.”
He looked as though she didn’t get what he was saying, but sighed, “Fine. If it makes you happy… Amy.” He closed his eyes and put his hands behind his back, “But first…” He tilted his nose up, “Can you smell that?”
She tried to, “Smoke? Oil?” She guessed, but he kept shaking his head lightly.
“Nah… keep trying.” He smiled gently, “Emmm~”
She tried again… reaching her nose out further, “Ah..! Your flowers!” She looked to the area far off, seeing his passionate project coming to life now that the thick smog parted to show the whole area… and people picking flowers, playing in the clean water, and enjoying life out there.
“Ah… They already knew.” Her eyes twitched at the beautiful sight, “From way up here…”
“... You saw a problem that you thought was there.” Sonic opened his eyes lightly, “No one hated me, Amy…” He looked to her, “... You were projecting your own thoughts and feelings onto others… You thought you were the only one… but really,” He took on a serious tone.
“I think you felt I wasn’t giving you enough time, Amy… for all you do for me, I think you felt jipped.”
She broke down and sobbed profusely, as Sonic slowly got up and put an arm around her again, letting her cry…
She was the one thinking those horrible things… this whole time…
“Eggman really made a mess of things.” He gently rested his head over Amy’s shoulder, “Didn’t he, Amy?”
With an absolute heart full of grace and sorrow, thankful for Sonic’s understanding, she held her hand to his back and pulled him closer, “Yes…” She admitted, feeling the weight finally set in. “I tried to be so strong when he took you away from us… I never once believed you were gone…”
“... That must have been a heavy burden… keeping everyone’s faith and hope alive… in me, and in the war efforts,... Amy.” Sonic closed his eyes, letting her let it out.
“I just… I wanted to see you.” She smushed her eyes into his shoulder. “I wanted you to want to see me…”
“...” This time, Sonic remained silent.
“... I love you, Sonic.” She mumbled through her tears.
“... I know.” Sonic took his other hand and adjusted his legs to be able to sit and hold her with both his arms now around her. “I missed you too, Amy…”
They both then said, as though one healing thought spoken aloud from their souls…
“I missed you so much.”

Technically, it does have a "story" in it!

Friendly reminder, PROMPTS ARE ON SHUTDOWN! @cutegirlmayra is focusing on Fanfiction and the Prompts already submitted :)b
There’s this idea for a fic that I can’t get out of my head where after Frontiers, minus the guys wanting to leave and do their own thing, EVERYONE except for Sonic and Knuckles, still feel woozy and sick from the whole thing, and, Sonic, not knowing what to do or how to react seeing his friends sick and feverish, comforts and tries to help them in his own ways.
Sorry! Prompt box is closed. Please hold onto this until it is reopened! :Db
Gotta get through the ones that have already been submitted! But thank you!
When I'm done, I'll let everyone know, okay? ^///^
No more prompts at this time, please!!!!

Sonamy prompt: Sonic gets invited to a high society: ball, charity event whatever you name it he has to go and can bring a guest. He asks Amy to go mostly so she can keep the crazy fans and press away. She agrees thinking it'll be a fun date night. The night comes and she feels like a fish out of water. High society start judging and mocking her making her feel bad. Sonic is not okay with this and the two make a ruckus. Dancing and singing eating food "improperly" and then eventually take off

PROMPTS ARE ON SHUTDOWN, DO NOT ENGAGE INBOX, THEY’RE HAPPILY MARRIED AND DON’T NEED YOUR OPINION!!!
Prompt:
Sonic adjusted the cuffs on his new tailored gloves, “You sure this shindig’s necessary?” He had tried to get out of it, but the President was insistent. To help with his campaign, he wanted Sonic at his fancy ball he was hosting, a party for those of high political society.
He figured, if Sonic was there, so would the press. Not just that, but it would be the talk of among potential voters, and make it look like Sonic was supporting him.
Not really understanding the significance of his presence, Chris had told Sonic it was a very honored thing to be invited by a President, and didn’t want Sonic to appear rude.
“Why can’t you be my plus one? Or you?” He asked Chris, then pointed to Tails, who was helping put Sonic in a nice black jacket after he had already been buttoned up by Chris in a white shirt.
“Because, plus one usually means you’re bringing a girl with you.” Chris explained, and held up his finger, “Just a second, I’ll go see Vanilla and Cream are done working on Amy’s dress, yet.” He rushed to knock on the door, about three times, before he heard the excited voices of Cream and Vanilla.
They cheerfully called out, “Coming!” Before Amy called out, “Just one second..!!!” Sounding kinda nervous.
“Huh? Amy? Getting nervous?” He walked away from the door and shook his head, “That’s a side of her I never thought I’d get to see…” He smiled with a raised eyebrow, coming back to Sonic who was tugging on his nice suit jacket a bit, trying to ‘stretch’ it since it felt restrictive, looking annoyed. “You sure you remember your manners, Sonic?” Chris reminded him.
“Yeah… I think so. Mr. Tanaka wouldn’t let me sleep last night in peace without sending me through a few drills… and Ella did the same with Amy.” He suddenly looked over from down at his new clothes before his eyes widened and sparkled somewhat… looking speechless.
“Huh? What’s wrong, Son-” Chris turned around before his face also turned to one of mesmerizing delight. “Wow, Amy! You look… incredible!” His mouth opened wide into a grin.
Amy walked out with her hands together in front of a beautiful red, glittering dress… white gloves to match, a hair clip of a rose with some sheer fabric to the side of it, going down near a front quill of hers.
Her sparkling red shoes she lightly poked out of her dress and then posed, tilting her head and chin up a bit to the side, being confident. “Well?” She asked, “What do you think, Sonic?”
Sonic remembered something then, “Hey… It looks… different from the one you wore on the Blue Typhoon, Amy…” Sonic walked up to her and put his hands to his hips, “What happened to that one?”
She tensed up, her bangs and quills becoming prickly, and her cheeks puffing up in agitation. “Girls have more than one dress, Sonic!” She huffed, and he flinched back a moment, removing his hands from his confident but relaxed pose as his smile faded, too.
“H-Huh? No need to get snappy, Amy. I was just surprised you had a new one…” He put a hand out to explain, before withdrawing it up to behind his head, “Sorry, Amy.”
Chris looked at the two a little awkwardly, having some sweat on the side of his cheek, before bending down to whisper into an equally worried Tails’s ear. “Do you really think they’ll get along for this evening, at least?”
Tails moved his mouth to the side, whispering back with his hand up to him, looking ahead but his eyes shifted directly to look up at him, “This isn’t Sonic’s first rodeo. Amy’s dragged him on tons of dates! He’ll be just fine if he-” They were both jolted into upright positions by Vanilla tugging on their opposite ears.
“You know, it’s quite rude to gossip right in front of people.” With her eyes closed in pleasantry, she walked in between them and made sure their heads were now pulled away from each other. She let them go and put a hand dainty to her mouth, “You look lovely, Amy. Sonic? Be sure to be a gentlemen at all times. This is Amy’s night, too, you know.” She gently instructed him.
Sonic smirked to Vanilla, “Emm.” showing he was intending to keep it a good one, as Amy happily returned Vanilla’s kind smile and cheer. “Ah-ha!”
At the ball, Sonic had Amy’s arm around his own, and the two walked in looking pretty small compared to the expenses of this grand campaign. “You don’t… think this is all for us… do you?” Sonic asked, looking directly up, “Wohh…” Seeing multiple chandeliers and fancy lights all over the grand ballroom.
Both his and Amy’s eyes sparkled at the extravagant sight, before a ton of ‘important’ guests started trying to barge their way past the two and soon they were almost trampled as they clambered to get inside.
Sonic pulled Amy ahead of him and they started running, “The food here must be really good, huh? Wah-aahhhh!!!” he pulled her up into a bridal style and immediately his face turned to a cool and collected hero. “Heh.”
He smirked and jumped over some tables as though they were obstacles on a natural tundra back home, and then skid to a halt behind them, his toe up in the air as he slid. “Heh, try and surprise me, why don'tcha?” He subtly jeered a little, having fun as he set Amy down. He put his hands out to her dress, “Is your pretty dress okay? Not ruined, is it?”
Amy blushed at that, shaking her head, “Em-mm, it’s fine.” She smiled sweetly to his chivalrous question.
He ‘phew’d and got back up, “Good.” He nodded, putting his hands to his hips again, “You seem to care an awful lot about it.”
Amy had a strike of an anger mark pulse on her head at that comment. “Soooonic…” She made fists by her sides and shook them slightly. “Are you calling me a material girl!?”
“Huh?” Sonic seemed to not understand, leaning forward towards her as though wanting her to explain before the President and his plus one came up to him with their bodyguards.
“Ah! Sonic The Hedgehog!” He outstretched his hands to the two, “I’m so glad you could come! Ohh… and who’s this little lady by your side?” he blinked curiously to Amy. “Hmm… Have I seen you before?”
Amy looked flattered at the ‘little lady’ part, but the second he seemed to completely not recognize her as one of Sonic’s ionic friends made another zap of an anger mark pulse on her head yet again, twitching with a slight sound effect as though she was trying to keep her rage bottled up in front of company…
“O-Oh, I’m one of Sonic’s friends…” She nervously laughed out.
“Yeah, don’t you recognize her?” Sonic pointed to Amy, very casually, “She’s Amy R-”
“Well, I’m sure my memory will be jogged in good time!” he clapped his hands, “Now, Sonic, if you would be a dear and come with me, just step right over here, that’s it…” Sonic was suddenly pushed from the back up to the press where they took pictures of him and the President, as Amy reached out her hand, not sure why he was being taken away from her as the Plus One of the President slid in next to her.
“You know, he really does look dapper in that little suit of his.” She chuckled into her hand, trying to be mannerly but her eyes were closed as though also looking a bit high-class as well. Was she snooty? “I just think little animal heroes are all the rage these days… It also makes you look incredibly adorable as well, Miss The Hedgehog.”
Amy twitched again, a smaller anger mark. “C-Cute?” She was trying to look sophisticated and like an adult…
“O-Oh, uhmmm… Ehem, I’m not actually Mr. The Hedgehog’s wife… eh-heh-heh… yet.” She swiped her eyes off to the side with a shine… a goal of hers, obviously.
The woman made an obnoxious laugh, “Ohhhh-hoho, how darling! You two looked so perfect together, I just immediately assumed!” She then leaned down, “Hey, hey… one girl to another, do you all stick to your species or is there branching out involved? Do you ever fear he’ll go after a mongoose or something?”
Amy’s anger marks were now turning into mouths and angry eyes, barking and arguing on Amy’s head back and forth as she twitched an open smile, “Ah-hah…hah haha… Why do you think these thoughts?” she then questioned the woman with squinted eyes as Sonic called out to her.
“Amy!”
She turned immediately, blinking her eyes as she leaned forward, “Oh!” She noticed he was trying to climb over the people, mostly women and reporters, crowding around him.
She knew he hated that, and narrowed her eyes while shaking a protective fist.
“Amy, help m-..!” He was being pulled back into the epicenter of the moshpit of people as Amy took out her hair clip and handed it to the woman, “Hold this a sec.” she raced towards Sonic and jumped into the crowd, like a superhero, she wiggled herself out with Sonic over her shoulder, clinging up on her shoulders as though a trembling chihuahua over water, completely out of place among the ‘fans and elites’ all wanting a piece of him.
She jumped down from stepping over people’s heads and shoulders, landing like a true hero and putting Sonic down, dusting him off, and patting his cheeks to let him know he was okay now.
“Thank YOU!” She swiped the hair clip out of the gawking woman’s hands and began to readjust it back into her downward pink quills. Once in, she moved her hands away, touched it up a bit more, then put her hands happily to her hips and looked proud of herself.
“Thanks, Amy.” Sonic rubbed the back of his head, then dusted off his arms again, “Those people really know how to trap a guy in!” He adjusted his quills as well, “How long do we have to be here for, anyway?”
“Sonic…” She looked a little disappointed, her eyes bending back, “We… We just got here.”
“That’s right!” The woman looped her arms around Amy, “You two adorable little things can’t leave now! We have a dinner and a dance for everyone! Including a very special performance, you’ll love it!” She dragged Amy over to a chair as Sonic helplessly followed her with his arms out, not sure when to use his strength and abilities when it came to these odd humans…
When sat down, Amy addressed it, looking like her entire hair was messed up due to the woman holding her like a ragdoll in the air by her waist. “I swear… if one more person treats us like pets..!” She adjusted her hair, and then re-pinned her hair clip. “Sonic, why didn’t you just spindash your way out of that people-pit?” She wasn’t look at him, just doing her hair as he sighed.
“I promised Chris I wouldn’t act ‘unmannerly’ at such an important summons… but to be honest, no matter how many drills Mr. Tanaka put me through, I still don’t get which spoon is what and why there needs to be so many rules.” He looked down at the set-up of the table. His eyes narrowed as though trying to remember, but then not caring and hopelessly waving a nonchalant hand about, “I just wasn’t made for this ‘heroic rewarding’ stuff.” He yawned and leaned back, lifting a leg up, “Think I’ll snooze for a little bit…” He started to doze off as Amy smacked a hand to her face, dragging it down to stretch out the skin.
“Well, that is just who you are… after all.” She eventually sighed and smiled at him fondly.
The President gave a profound speech, and everyone clapped modestly before the food was served. Amy nudged Sonic and he woke up in a small jolt, before yawning and letting Amy point and move his hands to the right silver tools he was supposed to use.
When Amy and him took their first bites, their eyes had stars in them, and they immediately both went, “Oh, wow!” and started digging in. “Have you ever tasted something so good in all your life, Sonic!?” She exclaimed, scarfing it down as Sonic nodded, agreeing.
He could hardly speak without his mouth completely full, “It’s the best!”
With wild handfuls, they were shoving the food down, as people stared in disbelief or with blinking eyes at the displayed behavior.
Amy suddenly looked up after blinking her eyes out of the stars, and noticed everyone staring at them. Embarrassed, she leaned back in her chair, “Ah-haha…” she tried to grasp at a napkin, and the President’s Plus One scooted it to her and she immediately patted her face.
Looking over at Sonic, she noticed he was still oblivious, and cleared her throat.
He looked up at her with complete innocence and full cheeks, “Huh?” His emerald eyes made her giggle a little, pointing to the rest of the table.
“Oh… ywou wawnt swome twoo?” He chewed and looked to what he thought was a huge set of food she was gesturing, too. He, thinking it very polite, got up on his chair, leaned over the table after pulling his suit and white shirt down, and then picked up the enormous–according to their size–glass dish ware and held it up over Amy’s plate. He swallowed then after some time of chewing and smiled sweetly to her, “Isn’t this the best? Glad we stuck around, huh!” The chandeliers lights on him only made his expression of joy that much more genuine and heartfelt to Amy. He was basking in the rays of the room’s light, and she had never felt more gleeful about Sonic trying to show ‘correct mannerisms’ to her before than this moment.
She put her hands up to her cheeks, squeeing at his gentlemanliness, “Ohh~ Sonic~” she then took a big inhale, “That’s not what I meant.” and pulled his coattails down to have him forcibly take his seat, dropping the rose-tinted glasses act for a second.
Once he was back in his seat, he blinked, still holding the huge stack of food on the tray as Amy put it back down where it was supposed to go, “We’re making a scene…” She seemed disappointed at having to say that, as though watching Sonic truly take delight in the moment was everything she wanted for the night… but she had to deny that experience for the both of them… due to the crowd of onlookers judging them…
They tried to eat correctly, Sonic looking more and more frustrated by the passing of seconds he couldn’t shove the amount of food he wanted in his mouth, and Amy completely concurred.
She had to pick up ‘miniscule’ bites and pieces, and the food kept slipping off the ‘recently polished’ silverware which made it even more impossible to take in the yumminess of the food.
Both growing annoyed, Amy finally just put the fork down and turned to Sonic, smiling the best she could. “Want to dance?” She took his hand and he was dragged to the dance floor.
At first, Sonic looked as though he was being pulled around, and Amy realized she would have to lead a lot more aggressively to get him on track.
“This isn’t what I had in mind… When they told me we’d be going to a fancy party…” Her face was a smushed frown, her eyes were as though someone was pulling them apart on the sides, melting away before Sonic finally made a comment.
“Well,... why can’t we just make it our party?” He asked, which made Amy blink up at him and lose her sunken expression.
“What… do you mean?” Her eyes showed that she was desperate to save the night, and Sonic smiled at that fact.
“Amy… Want me to be the hero this time?” He slightly joked as Amy looked completely like that was out of the blue for her, “What I mean is… You’ve been helping me all night… but I think it’s my turn to do what I do best.” He winked to her with a signature, bright smile. “Let me make your night one to remember!”
She blushed, turning pink on the sides of her muzzles just below her eyes. “Sonic…” She stared into his handsome face as he then broke out of the embrace and spun her about, jumping onto the food table and doing his own dance. Break-dancing, spraying food everywhere, and kicking up his feet, “Sorry, Chris! I also told Vanilla I’d be a gentleman to Amy! And Amy’s not having any fun either!” He then jumped up and spindashed around Amy, landing to take her hand, “And what kinda gentlemen would I be if I didn’t save the girl’s night?”
Amy swooned, her expression bright and cheery again, as she raced off and started to dance wildly and eat as much as she wanted again!
Suddenly, a loud voice cried over the crowd, “STOOOPPP!!!” The two hedgehogs ceased a moment, frozen in mad chaos of about to start a food fight, before the President looked to his Plus One, surprised by her suddenly manly voice.
“A-A… Elizabeth?” He asked, but the woman suddenly mechanically transformed, her thin waist now a large one, her proportions off, and Eggman flipped a sliding door and stepped out of the contraption.
“I had to go through SO MUCH to plan this little crash party… you have no idea how much of this man I had to endure!” Eggman pointed angrily at the President while still talking to Sonic and Amy, while the President touched what used to be a leg of the woman and rubbed it lightly as though mourning in a weird way that she was just a robot. “I’m the party crasher, not YOU!” he pulled out a mechanical gun strapped around his back. “I deserve it for what I’ve had to put up with far more than YOU TWO HAVING ONLY TONIGHT IN THIS LOONEY BIN!”
Realizing Eggman had been in a female robot, and that technically meant he was crossdressing, Amy and Sonic tilted their heads and second before absolutely having to clutch their stomachs and covered their mouths as they tried desperately not to laugh loudly.
Eggman sent his robotic army and they battled them out, never being invited to another ‘elite and influential party’ on earth again…
