Honestly I made this account to have fun and post dumb things that ichimatsu googles and now I'm suddenly bombarded with angst and SUICIDE ???

OSOMATSU SAN SUICIDE NONETHELESS ??? I'm totally for angst— hell I love it— but this is just plain ridiculous. I understand the urge to make characters suicidal. Karamatsu and Ichimatsu are easy targets because of Karamatsu's neglect and Ichimatsu's depressive attitude but it's all in the name of good comedy. Fujio Akatsuka didn't put his heart and soul into these characters to have a bunch of people making them depressed and dramatic nor did Studio Pierrot revive this anime to be depressing. This is a GAG show, remember that. It can be serious and the characters CAN have depth but what you're doing is just TOO depressing. EVERY character is suicidal and depressed now, EVERY portrayal of the sextuplets is angsty and depressing.

When I first made this search blog account, I did it to have fun because everyone here was having fun with the idea. But now everytime I go on tumblr, I'm instantly greeted with suicidal Karamatsu, Ichimatsu wanting to kill himself, depressed EVERYTHING. It's especially bothersome when I myself am going through depression and these blogs can more often than not make my mood worse. I don't even go on tumblr anymore because of the constant angst it's just too tiring to handle. Look, I LOVE you guys and I love the accounts on here but god can you STOP? It's not only exhausting to deal with for everyone who follows you since your posts are so damn long and so damn depressing, but it's also completely ruining the once fun and dumb atmosphere the community used to have.

The first episode of season 2 was made for the sheer PURPOSE of calling out posts like these.

I enjoy this show because it makes me very happy. I love his quirky, shitty and lovable the characters are and I love how the show makes me feel in general. Sure, I love the serious sides but when you make their more angsty characteristics take center stage to any other character they have, it's not only ridiculous but it also ruins whatever uniqueness the character originally had. Guys. This has to stop. If you feel the urge to do these angst roleplays, please do it in private chat. If you're projecting through your character, PLEASE SEEK HELP IN REAL LIFE. This isn't the place to project your depression, which I know a lot of users on this site struggle with.

In conclusion, please tone it down with the angsty Osomatsu San roleplays. Not only does it ruin the generally good vibe the show and the fandom has but it also drives people away. I'm not telling you to keep these things to yourself— I'm just emploring you to project and roleplay in a more healthy manner that'll not disturb those around you. These characters are very lighthearted and Osomatsu San is a show made to make you laugh. If you feel depressed in anyway, please seek real life support instead of projecting your emotions onto these characters and making them angsty and serious all the time. In the words of Choromatsu from "Calming Detective Osomatsu:"

" If you take yourself too seriously, you'll only make a fool out of yourself. "

season 2 just started and the sextuplets already got maimed by an angry mob twice, got their house set on fire by said angry mob twice, had their nipples cut off by a butcher knife, ended up naked and drunk in the street in public, got whatever shred of motivation they had ripped into shreds, had their entire bodies except for their nervous systems turn invisible, and got insulted straight up by everyone they know. this is going to be a good season.

whoa. in all honesty, his age really confused me. he looks around his 20′s in oso kun, which kind of makes sense considering that he’s shown that he’s old enough to own stores, become a teacher and run and scam businesses and he’s old enough to mentor Chibita but then he spends time with children such as Chibita and the sexuplets and even has attractions to Totoko who is around 10 years old in -kun. I really like the idea of uncle Iyami !! Thanks for learing this up! :)

No one actually asked, but I guess Iyami’s age is still somewhat of a mystery amongst -san fans, so here it goes if anyone’s interested: he’s in his mid/late forties. He was 36 when the events of -kun took place, which in -san canon happened “ten-odd years ago”. If you go by the theory that the sextuplets are 23, then Iyami is 49. He’s not a youngster anymore, but he’s still no grandpa either. More like… an uncle.
