I'm assuming you're the same person who asked about the OP thing as well lmao. I'd be happy to recommend some stuff!

my own kekkei genkai in my Naruto DR are really just the sharingan and shikotsumyaku, as my father was an uchiha and my mother was a kaguya. i just looked at a list of all the canon abilities and shot for the strongest, most coveted ones.

but! if you need some ideas for a kekkei genkai of your own, here are some of the ones I've come up with, in the past!

[lmao btw i wrote this list like almost two years ago don't come for me if it sounds silly, and my apologies if it's a bit short]

(1) TIME-BASED ABILITIES

i always thought it'd be interesting if there was something that allowed users to manipulate space and time, exactly like how tobirama and minato were able to utilise a space-time jutsu. why not be able to do both separately? maybe you could have an ability where you could see rifts in time, allowing you to glimpse past or future events; which is especially useful for intel and sabotage.

on that note, the inspiration for this was the sharingan's izanagi, izanami, and kamui abilities.

(2) LUMINOKINESIS

i was rewatching Arcane when this came to me. i remembered one of LoL's cinematics for Wild Rift (the one with the teams on the battlefield), and thought of Lux. then i thought of Iridessa, one of the Disney fairies, and that one Tinker Bell movie where they all accidentally switched powers. and then i thought, wouldn't light manipulation be such an OP ability?

something like prismatic refraction could allow you to create illusions, project blinding beams, or even bend light to make yourself invisible. it's ideal for stealth. but at the same time, you could even use it offensively—similar to how Superman shoots fuckin' laser beams out of his eyes, or how Usagi (Sailor Venus) creates said beams of light to attack enemies.

(3) AVATAR-INSPIRED ABILITIES

i cannot stress this one enough!!! take literally any power you could from Avatar: the Last Airbender or Avatar: the Legend of Korra—and amp it up to the max! all of my abilities in my Naruto DR have been based mostly on these two shows, with the occasional inspiration from other fandoms of course, but really these two. the elemental manipulation, along with the 'specialisations' are not only fucking cool to use—they're also incredibly useful in mundane situations (in the DR, at least). I'm pretty sure I've made posts about those shenanigans in the past lmfao.

at that, consider these, if ever: metallokinesis, plasma manipulation, astral projection, geokinesis, and atmokinesis.

(4) INSPIRATION FROM OTHER FANDOMS

the ones I've listed above are honestly just my own favourite abilities, and the ones that quickly came to mind as i was writing this. but those are just a portion of the vast majority that you could find from other sources! there are countless more to consider, abilities that might not necessarily be included in the world of Naruto itself but still something very much to consider. who doesn't love a good crossover? i know i do. hell, I've even used some of my own Naruto DR abilities in my HP/GoT DR.

i really recommend parsing through other cartoons, comics, movies, and et cetera. and if not that, then at least check their wiki pages. Fandom is always your friend. sometimes, when i browse through fanfics on FFNet or AO3, i see things that i like (powers that a character has, for example, or situations that they land themselves into)—things that stick with me, which i note down for future reference. and when the time comes, i could use it for my own experiences.

just wanted to start this off by apologising for the late reply! uni has been really clogging up sm stuff for me lately lmao (oof same goes to the other blog, for anyone looking at that one).

i completely relate to what you mean, though! i myself have scripted to be OP as well lmao. and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that—so long as you know what you're doing, and you can deal with the consequences that come with it. as I've already put in past posts, my own abilities in my Naruto DR are supposed to be way beyond anyone else's, though of course i still get into trouble every once in a while. that's my only condition for myself: to be able to struggle so i can actually learn through the process(es).

the list of abilities you gave is really interesting imo. it's good to be well-rounded, especially in a world such as Naruto's. if anything, i really would recommend it, even if you have some reservations about it. that's not to say you have to, necessarily, but it's what I'd go for—especially after what i experienced in my own DR.

yours could be different, mind, but the thought remains up in the air. i scripted that my DR stick as close to the canon worldbuilding as possible—meaning, for instance, that all the violence would still be there. trauma is there. I've made my peace with it both, and I'm coping well enough as i do so.

what makes it all easier for me to deal with is my 'OP-ness' in this DR lmao. power really does make a difference. bit of a machiavellian take there, but that's the truth of it—at least, in that reality. and with it; not only did my own motivations to keep shifting keep steady, but the experiences I've had with other people there also served to give me some life lessons along the way.

being everything that you want to be in your Naruto DR isn't inherently bad. there's absolutely nothing wrong with achieving all those things—considering a lot of us want to be just like the characters we've seen and loved in our CRs, and continue to be like that for the sake of shifting itself. i suppose what really makes the difference is how you use those abilities, and how you get around to justifying doing what you do.

I'M SO HAPPY TO MEET ANOTHER FOUNDERS ERA SHIFTER AAAAAAAAAAA

well, to start, you can always age everyone up as well! i don't think we ever got a confirmation as to how old the founders were in canon when Konoha was formed, so it's safe to say that being a few years older than them (or even being roughly the same age) is fine.

there's a pretty considerable age gap between me and some others in my naruto DR. now, first of all; i know this is going to cause some controversy considering how iffy people get about scripting specific ages—but i just want to make it clear that i shifted for the plot, not to simply get together with people or so and so. and i wanted to experience it as it was, with scripting only for my end (my DR self) and for main events in the story. i barely scripted any specifics regarding the canon characters themselves.

so, to get on with it, here's a layout of our ages:

[P.S. the formation of Konoha is three (3) years away from where i am currently. the section, Age [Konoha, Year 1], is for how old everyone'll be once the village is made.]

the name in red (Kyō) is me. the ones crossed out are the deceased. boxes marked with an X means: (1) i don't know the date/birthday, and (2) the age/s are an estimate based on their appearance. names with commas (or double names in single cells) are twins.

lastly, the canon characters are highlighted in yellow. the eldest out of all of them is Tajima, and the youngest is Itama.

everyone else is non-canon and specifically: the ones that I've been acquainted with, the ones whose names I've heard of in passing, and the ones i bothered to know. there's an incredible amount of people in both clans, and this isn't even a portion of the Uchiha and Senju. to add to that, i haven't even included the Kaguya yet HAHAHA

i might make a separate one for my Kaguya clansmen—but so far, for the Uchiha, here are the ones i interact with the most ((: i usually just keep it to my age group, or something close to it.

[P.P.S. I'm actually 15 in this DR, now; i forgot to update that tracker. i celebrated my birthday a month ago lmfao. however, i shift in bursts, so it might look inconsistent at a glance. i scripted that when i shift back to my DR, only a day or two has passed since i left; to add to that, i don't always get to shift on command, and sometimes i take long breaks as well. i shifted to this DR around 2021, and chronologically, if you follow the CR years, i should be 17. however, if you follow the scripting format, right now, I'm just 15. but I'm too lazy to fix it and go take another screenshot of the sheets JADKSBSBDF]

stupid thought but i can't stop thinking about how my HP DR developed through three specific stages:

the base stage — shifting and being a part of the story (i.e. shifting as a witch in the harry potter universe)

the imitation stage — a fame DR adaptation of the base stage (i.e. shifting as a celebrity and starring as my mother in the og DR)

the rioting stage — this is just me having enough of rowling's bs and shifting to tolkien's era and essentially scripting myself as the one to have written rowling's series, but incorporating my actual DR into it [controversial take]
