this is a poster i made for my call to action assignment in humanities! it's a bunch of basic and easy stretches for people who sit and work at a desk all day (me)
the idea is that you'd put the poster up above ur desk and do the stretches every 30 minutes or so,, the whole routine won't take more than about 6 minutes to complete and when done regularly it can prevent wrist, shoulder, neck and back pain! :)
all these stretches can be done while sitting (although i HIGHLY recommend you stand up and move around while taking a break from working)

Once in a while ill sneak in a lil dance break in between study sessions and, guys, try it. It helps so much to let go of the tension and stress accumulated while doing an assignment or studying for a test.

Working on the train today since i have a bunch of traveling to do. Today is going to be really full, but it’s mostly just time consuming stuff and all things that I’m glad to have ticked off the list when they are finished. Currently reading the text for monday‘s eastern europe seminar (but planning on a nap in the next train i‘m getting on).
Spring is coming, the wind is warmer now 🌬️

Phew, lots of stuff happening again! The paper on medieval kissing has been successfully handed in, and i feel like i can see the horizon again. Now i still have lots of things to do and read and think of, but there’s one less deadline looming above my head like a sword of damocles, and im seeing all my friends a lot, and things generally are a lot better, although I’m still struggling with some emotional stuff. Hopefully that’ll get better too.
Feeling generally positive this morning :)

Life‘s been difficult lately, ngl. Semester began and with it came some new responsibilities, and a paper still needs finishing despite lecture chaos and social plans. But it’s coming along, and so are other things i was looking forward to, and I’m glad i don’t have to weather my emotional storms alone <3
Some green and happy things today. Tulips help with crying spells, and so do trees. About 4 pages to go with the medieval kissing! 💋

I used to be really against marking up books and would clutch at my pearls anytime a book was damaged in anyway but now I see it as another way to express love. Water stains on the cover means you carried your favorite book through the rain because you wanted to keep reading on the go. Writing in the margins is participating in the conversation with the author. Leaving bookmarks and receipts in between the pages is like freezing traces of your own life in time.
A well worn book is a well loved one.

As expected, yesterday was lovely, but unfortunately that means today i need to catch up with my work before it can swallow me with guilt. The flowers help tho 🌷
What needs to be done:
- continue with the medieval kissing paper
- do some more research on 20th century english lit for the retake exam
- exercise in the evening
Should be doable, hopefully. Tomorrow will be a busy day for other reasons, so let’s get going!

it’s been a while since I’ve checked in here: not much has happened, although there were some emotional ups and downs for not entirely known reasons. but i’m mostly okay, working on my second paper and planning to spend a lovely valentines with my person today. the semester starts next week, and i’m mostly excited for my new classes and to see my friends more regularly again. i think getting that weekly rhythm back will be good for my mental health.
now onto medieval kissing conventions!!

it is done!! i finished writing and thought of a title (with some help, and i still want to hear that person’s feedback first), so except for some details i need to check and another read-through to make sure it all makes sense, tis finished!! im so happy, and i wasn’t even as stressed as i feared i would be. yay me!
left to do now: another trip to the library to scan a form, an email to hand this in, a day to rest and chill; then we move on to the song of roland 🏰

it’s saturday, that means we’re closing in on the finish line! i really want to finish the rough draft by tonight so i can iron out the blemishes sunday night and monday before the deadline. honestly not feeling all that well today and my brain is fighting me tooth and nail to focus, but i think i can at least get the source analysis done, even if if i have to leave the conclusion for tomorrow.
3350/???? words? at this point im confident i’ll get over the minimum so really i need to get my content down now, not words. still need a title tho 👻

fun-reading break while writing the ghost paper! im desperately trying not to damage this copy of babel i was leant from someone i don’t know; it’s taking all my self control not to crack the spine. the book is very interesting so far! also going to an orchestra concert this evening, im looking forward to that :)
2100/3500 words and one whole weekend left until the deadline, i think i’ll be okay! fingers crossed

we’re closing in on the deadline for the paper, and i’m pretty stressed but i think i can make it! hoping to finish writing by saturday afternoon so i can spend the rest of the weekend socially and leave sunday night and monday for any last tidying up. (i also still need to find a title, always the titles 🙄)
ca. 1000/3500 words! cannot wait to get rid of all those heavy books i’ve been carrying around for the past month
