the realization that byler will hug eachother regardless of their relationship status next season just kinda hit me and idk why i want to cry

seeing these leaks just reminds me more and more of how excited i am for this season? like? we don’t know what we’re getting into at all? in every leak it both matches and completely goes against our theories at the same time.

holly wheeler and her possible connection to season 5 (?) and freddy krueger:

to me i’m thinking it’s most likely holly?? more than just because she was recently recasted (assuming this leak is real of course and we’re correct that she was) stay with me here.

but while i do know that both karen and nancy fit the spot, i’m just saying that other than the fact it would be fucked up to have holly go missing (she’d be like 8 or 9) there’s some hints.

her encounter with the demogorgan in season 1 hasn’t been touched on much when it pushed through the wall coming to her.

during the ‘earthquake’ they focused on her, as well as holly noticing in season 3 on the ferris wheel when the trees were swaying. when she was there coloring with max (who was cursed) i just sort of felt like she’s going to have a bigger role next season?

especially dustin mentioning freddy krueger around her, at the table, who in the movie took kids into his boiler room. the boiler room, which was compared to vecna’s lair right then by dustin, too.

freddy krueger has been used a couple other times in reference to vecna. when max went into family video, there’s a cardboard cutout of him behind her (which both foreshadowed her fate AND compared him to vecna)

there’s a lot of focus on holly in my eyes and i’m more of pushing the idea that if the leak is credible, it’s her.

Mike is 15 and Nancy is 18 at the moment so 3 years (?) I'm not sure because I don't exactly know Nancy's age for sure

I think it goes like this:

S1 November 1983 Mike was 12 and Nancy 15 (probably?) Holly is 3

S2 October 1984 Mike was 13 and Nancy 16, Holly is 4

S3 July 1985 Mike was 14 and Nancy 17, Holly is 5

S4 March 1986 Mike was 14 (almost 15 because he's born in April) and Nancy 18, Holly is 6

So if they do like

S5 November/December 1897 -> Mike is 16 and Nancy 19

Or

S5 November/December 1989 -> Mike is 18 and Nancy 21

They'll probably set it in '87 though!
