sometimes catch myself thinking "of course this would happen, of course israel would open fire at starving people trying to get aid, of course the airdropped aid would fall in a place it's not supposed to fall, of course more and more children are dying of starvation and malnutrition" and then i have to remind myself to stay angry at everything that is happening because even if all of it follows the despicable and clear path of genocide, it should be resisted every step of the way until we can get it to stop
even though israel is simply following the plans it has already declared to raze gaza to the ground and ethnically cleanse its people, even though we are watching nothing but an accelerated version of the kind of strategy that has been employed against palestinians for 75 years, even though the leaders of the world are complicit while the people of the world continue to protest, even though it has been five months, i refuse to normalize with this. none of this is normal. this is monstrous, depraved and sick. its nothing new but we'll keep saying it, and i won't forget any of it.

Farha 🇵🇸
As a contribution to the strike for Palestine I drew this scene from “Farha”, a movie about a Palestinian girl whose dreams were shattered by the 1948 Nakba. I highly recommend it.
Remember to keep protesting, keep boycotting, keep pressuring your politicians and keep calling for a ceasefire. Don’t stop talking about Palestine. Don’t stop talking about all oppressed people going through genocide and other atrocities around the world. Our struggles are interconnected, a fight for liberation is a fight for all!
(For this piece and everything else I may draw for Palestine’s cause in the future I will make an exception regarding my repost rules. You’re allowed to use this drawing without credits where ever you want as long as you use it for the purpose of spreading awareness about the genocide in Palestine.)

Chapter 66 Theory?
I feel like me and many others have misread this scene, but honestly I can't really be sure since I have no idea what the original Japanese says.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Before this on the day, Tachihara's brother kills himself she mentions that it was the day "the lives of my fellow soldiers were targeted". I'm guessing that this means their ship was invaded by the enemy, because it can't just be an everyday occurrence on the battlefield for Yosano to mention it here.
Then in present day, when she says she was "kept under arrest in the ship's bottom which was lined with explosives" I think what she's actually saying is that she was held hostage in the ship's bottom which the enemy had lined with explosives. My guess is that after the war the facility she was being kept in was in a foreign country. What other prison-esque facility in a foreign country do we know of : Meursault. So the theory is Yosano was kept in Meursault after the war? I feel like this could go hand in hand with the theory that Yosano's gonna save Dazai (in the manga at least), and idk how she's gonna get to Meursault that quick or why exactly, but it would so cool to see more of her past, because I have SO MANY QUESTIONS!!!

Thoughts on Chapter 110.5
Ok, Aya's dad HAS TO BE Tachihara's brother.
Wow Fukuchi, Karma really was your boyfriend.
Another month (or two) of falling for Aya

Was Fyodor created by the Book?
Chapter 109 just came out and it had me thinking...
What if Fyodor was the one who took all of Sigma's memories from the very beginning when he was in the desert. We know Sigma's ability requires him to exchange information of equal importance with the person he's touching. Then would that mean that Fyodor was actually the one created by the book, which is the info that sigma has due to the information exchange.
But then it occurred to me that in the anime Fyodor was in Ranpo's backstory which is at least 10 years back, which in turn doesn't fit with Sigma being 3 years old.
Unless someone used the book to alter that part or something....

Literally during this entire Meursault arc, I've just been wondering where the girls are? Like where's Kyoka and Yosano? Am I missing something in the plot, because I really want them to play a major part. Hopefully more will come soon....

Underrated theory, also technically the only other Agency members who haven't been caught this arc are Yosano and Kyoka, so it would be kinda perfect timing if we found out this was true later on. Maybe after this whole arc.
BSD ch 106 – my wild theory about Aya’s dad identity
Hello~~
Another short chapter^^’
The most important is that Akutagawa is back T_T it is clearly hinted that he is partially conscious – probably he cannot disobey main orders (like capturing Bram), but some details are up to him and he probably didn’t kill Aya per his promise to Atsushi. Imo it nicely set up next stage – with Bram as bait for ADA, we just have to wait for most likely Atsushi (though Kyouka or Yosano would be nice too) to show up to fight his vampire boyfriend xD and ofc find a way to grant back free will to all vampires.
Tumblr media
That ‘refused to consume me’ gave me pause… I wonder if core of vampirism can be taken over by drinking Bram’s blood or something like that.
As for oil at elevator, which caused fire – wow Asagiri really wanted to raise the stakes and keep us on the edge xD My guess is that maybe it is byproduct of Dazai tampering elevator earlier – like some auto-destruction mode for elevator… but frankly possibilities are endless when it comes to Dazai’s plans so it is better to wait and see xD still it was touching that Dazai’s first instinct was to save Sigma by getting him underwater awwww
So let’s go to the main topic and time to wear tin foil hat XD
Tumblr media
I must admit that when I first read spoiler summary I was surprised that we got more of Aya’s flashbacks. I don’t want it to be taken wrong way – it is really nice that she got to be more fleshed out and have more detailed backstory (not much of bsd female characters can relate), but still… it kinda puzzled me that we were shown again how much awful person is her father – which feels a bit redundant. Ofc calling out sexism is important - I am not diminishing that. Just I am simply wondering that maybe Asagiri is treating it as build-up for something else.
In addition, it is a bit sus to how Aya’s dad is shown compared to her mother and sister - like he is more hidden visually.
Tumblr media
It makes me wonder if Aya’s dad identity is supposed to be mystery and that he will make appearance at some point. Also, it is worth noting that Aya was at airport at his request (ch 92).
Tumblr media
So who could he be? His hairstyle and age would fit with certain person:
Tumblr media
Yes, nobody else than Tachihara’s brother xD
First off – I know it is very rough and rather unbelievable theory with no real proof. Still somehow it stuck in my mind so I decided to write it down here. It is not that I think is 100% true, but weirdly enough it would fit within story.
Especially there are some mysteries when it comes to Tachihara’s brother:
Tachihara’s brother knew real purpose of Mori and government’s action at Tokoyami island, which were classified information. He was regular soldier, who shouldn’t have access to it. Unless somebody with access could tell him – like Fukuchi
We are specifically told that Fukuchi wanted to go to Tokoyami island because of his missing disciple. Frankly, this information has little value from story perspective unless such disciple is somebody we know.
Yosano claimed that she is totally sure that he died – in most of the stories it means that person is alive XD Nonetheless, Yosano’s arc lacks sorta proper conclusion – reunion with Tachihara’s brother would have nice ring to it imo
Summing all up, my guess is that Fukuchi helped Tachihara’s brother (I hope he will get name finally xD) escape and presented some dead body double in the latter’s stead. Then he provided the latter some fake identity so he could live freely without fear of government wanting to dispose him for knowing classified information.
But even if he possibly lived, he would be broken person with PTSD – who would need therapy first before raising up kids (but therapy is not really option in bsd unfortunately). Still he and Aya would be nice parallel to orphanage headmaster and Atsushi. By this I mean – headmaster used bad methods to try make Atsushi to grow up to be good person – and it could be that Aya’s dad is the same.
Tumblr media
At the heart Aya and young Yosano are very similar – both are determined, kind and idealistic girls, which simply want to help and save others (whether by being Ally of Justice or healing). After witnessing how Yosano was traumatized and exploited by government, he would try to prevent his daughter to go through the same and wanting “simple proper woman’s life” for her without dangers. But again just like orphanage headmaster – using wrong methods, which made Aya feel like failure.
Finally, Asagiri loves grey characters – I could see the story going in that direction. But it is not like I am 100% certain and it could easily be the case that I reading too much into everything xD Still it would be interesting if manga goes that way so we will see~~
Thank you for reading and have a nice day <3

I feel like I can breathe better after this post, cause this was literally me while rereading my favorite scenes. I also felt like in this scene:
Tumblr media
And this scene:
Tumblr media
have some racist undertones, especially the second scene. It reminded me of back in 2022 when COVID was still new, and Asian hate crimes spiked due to everyone blaming them for starting the virus. Honestly, we should've at least gotten a Kuwei perspective like come on Leigh, I get that there was a lot going on, but still.
i love jesper sososososo much. with all my heart. he means everything to me.
BUT HOLY SHIT I WILL NEVER FORGIVE HIM FOR THE WAY HE TREATED KUWEI.
kaz was pretty awful too but like that's just kaz so I'm not as upset by it. jesper was just mean.
Even when he's saying something not inherently mean to him. like his tone is so belittling it makes me wanna GAASFAHSHDAS
and like, i can forgive the teasing i guess, because that's kinda how jesper talks to everyone, including wylan. (it's a little different since kuwei is literally their hostage and they shut him in a tomb for weeks and then tried to sell him so kuwei probably wants nothing to do with them at that point, but he does end up having kinda a crush on jesper so maybe he didn't mind idk).
BUT OH MY GOD. when jesper said "those shu soldiers can smell us. YOUR father made that possible" I WANTED TO PUNCH HIM. kuwei watched his father die in front of him. parem was an experiment meant to help kuwei hide his powers. and then kuwei got dragged off and kept in the ice court for god fucking knows how long and was forced to make the formula for a drug that would massacre his own people. Jesper knows all of this and still decides to say that. As i said I love jesper but that moment makes me so mad at him.
then later in another jesper chapter, he internally says "The sooner Kuwei got on that boat, the better. The tomb was starting to feel crowded." KUWEI DOESNT WANNA FUCKING BE THERE?? literally leave him alone wtf did he do to you.
then in the entire black veil scene, jesper responds to almost everything kuwei says with some little dig at the fact that kuwei's dad made parem and everything is kuwei's fault to the point where kuwei is basically begging jesper for understanding and jesper dismisses him like annoyingly easily. I felt for kuwei so hard reading that scene. I wish we got at least one chapter from his POV just to know how he's feeling.
mostly i think jesper is just projecting his internalized grisha-phobia onto kuwei which i get is part of his character growth and stuff but it's just so unfair to kuwei. all kuwei is trying to do is relate to him and find some common ground on some level but jesper just acts like such a jerk. and when he kisses him and then just runs of and leaves him there... that was,,, like im not gonna act like jesper was 100% in the wrong for that situation because he wasn't but he definitely could have handled that situation better.
He also is probably doing it to impress kaz too because there's a lot of moments where the 2 of them gang up on kuwei like middle school playground bullies. Those parts probably infuriated me the most, because like... you kidnapped him. obviously he's still in a better situation than the ice court but i would at least expect jesper to have some sympathy.
but one thing that really gets me is how the fandom acts like wylan and kuwei are enemies and like, wylan despises kuwei. that's just so out of character for everyone involved. wylan and kuwei are the closest to being actual friends than kuwei + anyone else. jesper is the one who hates kuwei. I hate when people project their kuwei hate onto the crows but at least do it to the one who's actually shown being mean to him. when wylan said that "push you in the canal" thing he was running on broken ribs, a dead friend and like a half hour of sleep so he would have said that to literally anyone.
this was a really messy and unstructured tangent but i just really needed to get this out there. lmk your thoughts

Theory for Six of Crows Spin-Off
I wonder if Netflix will do a something like the chimney scene for Kaz. Inej in that scene was basically questioning what her goal was now that she was free from the Menagerie and was about to get enough money to do what she wanted to. For Kaz, it could be him questioning what he's living for now that he's gotten his revenge on Pekka Rollins. Kinda reminds me of Moon Dong-eun at the end of The Glory.

The Parallels between Akiko Yosano and Wylan van Eck.
Toxic "father" figure:
Jan van eck 🤝 Mori
traumatizing their kids into hating themselves because of an innate (dis)ability.
Also, not these two both being attracted to girls way younger them, and said girls being named Alys and Elise!
Butterflies:
Show!wylan admiring the blue butterflies at Ohval's house, then feeding them to his friends to save them. Yosano releases butterflies whenever she uses her ability to save the ada.
Both blame themselves for a loved one being killed:
Yosano blames herself for Tachihara's brother's suicide, wylan blames himself for Jan sending Maria off to a mental asylum.
Bonus: Tachihara and his brother and Jesper all have metal abilities.
Also, Wylan is seen as "flawed" or "incorrect" by Van eck for his dyslexia, while Yosano was seen as "too correct" by the soldier who committed suicide.
Conclusion: I NEED THESE TWO IN A FIC TOGETHER.
