listen, yeah, tumblr is unhinged and full of clowns but it’s unhinged in a way that has coherence. the clownery has continuity. you could reference memes from 6 years ago and people would still get it. you could make jokes from long-dead shows and someone could still understand the weird cryptic hieroglyphic language of internet culture. there’s institutional memory here. where else am i gonna get that? twitter? twitter is just 5-minute rage cycles and blue check marks with too much hubris

lemme just be a fandom grandma for a sec:
you’re allowed to just - not like a thing. be it a show, a plotline, a character, a pairing whatever. you just be like “i do not Vibe with this” and move on. you don’t need to explain your preferences, you don’t need to discover some way in which you can call the thing “””problematic””” to justify you not liking it. if something doesn’t spark joy within you, that’s absolutely valid enough.

Just because your feelings are valid, this doesn't mean that every possible reaction to them is. Yes, it's okay to be angry - but it's not okay to take it out on someone by breaking their stuff. Yes, it's okay to be jealous - but it's not okay to sabotage relationships. Yes, it's okay to want attention - but it's not okay to lie to get it. And so on. Your feelings are always valid, but you still have a responsibility for how you choose to express them.

*taps mic* is this thing on?? Hello friends! I’m alive and doing my best during this crazy time. I hope you are all staying safe and taking care of yourselves (physically and mentally).
I’d really love to get back into content creation but I’m in my senior year at school and the full-time job hunt is just around the corner. So I’ll try to edit/post when I can.
For my fandom-specific friends: yes, I’ve finished Criminal Minds, The 100, Madame Secretary, and The Good Place. I’m caught up with The Resident and also Lucifer. I’m sure there’s other shows I’m missing but just wanted to let you guys know that film/tv is keeping me happy (and alive). I hope all of you are finding joy in whatever you love!
Okay, this was just supposed to be a quick update so I’ll shut up now. I’m not sure how many people have changed usernames but if we used to talk, please say hi! And for anyone else, I welcome new friends too!
