Gays, Gender Identity, and Attraction

Hi! this is much like my previous post on wanting to know more about the lesbian experience with gender and sexuality - but for gay men. In my video game there is a gay cisgender man.

I want to better understand and research the experiences of gay men with gender identity of themselves and others (potential partners etc) and sexuality, romance etc.

Lesbians, Gender Identity, and Attraction

Hi! I’m writing a video game that has two lesbian characters in. One is a cisgender aromantic lesbian and the other is a demiwoman demisexual lesbian. 

Talking about the first one (lets call her X) she is not romantically attracted to anyone but is sexually attracted to other women. However I am fully aware that gender isn’t so cut dry and that sexuality isn’t always definable by one definition so I wanted to know what real life lesbians thought on the matter. Are lesbians only attracted to people who identify with being a woman? but does this include genderfluid people? Does it include anyone who identifies with more than one gender or even also/or a lack of gender?

With the second character (lets call her Z) whilst she identifies as a demiwoman and with her personal definition of gender I know she would be attracted to women, demiwomen and possibly non-binary people I just want to know more from the people who actually experience this stuff. If you identify as non-binary or as a demiwoman etc as well as being a lesbian, what are your experiences with your gender and sexuality?

Basically, I want to know the different lesbian experiences of their own gender, gender of others (possible partners etc) and sexuality, romance/qpr etc. Just the big ol’ lesbian experience.

What Does Polysexual/romantic Mean To You?

Hi! I’m writing a video game that has a polysexual/romantic character and I was hoping to put in some research into what a polysexual/romantic person experiences! (I do not mean polyamorous although if you are a polysexual/romantic polyamorous person that’s cool as heck and I’d love to hear about it!)

I’d just like to know things like your experience with it, how you realise what genders you are and are not attracted to and anything more like that. Can it be possible to date a genderfluid person that sometimes identifies with a gender you are not attracted to? Can it be possible to be attracted to non-binary people but not genderqueer? I’d love you hear all your thoughts on everything about attraction, sexuality, romance and gender!
