Just watched it a few days ago and I had so much nostalgic feelings! Especially during the kart part. It's just so amazing.
Despite my dislike towards the choice of Mario's voice actor, I enjoyed the movie.
And Bowser is such a gem! I mean, if I were Princess Peach, I would marry him without batting an eye but it's just me, you know 馃き
Aside from Bowser, Toad is also my favorite! He's such a cutie 馃グ

Just finished Bucchigiri?! today and... hm.
I caught up in this anime pretty late, so I bing-watched 11 episodes in one day and then waited for the last episode for a week. And during that bing-watch, my feelings towards this anime turned from "this is interesting!" to "I can't stand the main character".
But seriously, all other characters are very interesting, even side characters like Zabu, but Arajin is just... meh. It has a lot to do with his shallow goal of just getting the girl without having a sense of sympathy or empathy towards his surroundings. It reminds me a lot of MTV's Teen Wolf main character that I just have to write off Arajin immediately. Even though my reason of wanting to watch Bucchigiri?! is because Matakara and Arajin's size difference reminds me of Jason Todd and Tim Drake.
But anyway, this anime is pretty interesting despite the main character. Marito and Matakara are pretty solid characters. Especially Matakara when he turned evil.
Overall, if there is a second season, I'd probably watch it still.

I think I know what they aimed in here, which is epic nostalgia, but I don't think they quite nailed it?
Michael Keaton and George Clooney's appearance as Batman kind of entertaining to watch, but since this DCEU's icon supposed to be Henry Cavill and they don't even have him at all in this movie, it bothers me a bit -- even though Cavill's Superman is not my top Superman (I always prefer him more as Geralt of Rivia).
The other thing that bothers me is that the fact it's supposed to revolve around Barry Allen's familial relationship, but it ended up involving Batman. It works, but I think it lost its focus there.
BUT, the Supergirl is so cool! She gave the vibe of emo Kryptonian that works very well. I like it.
With the new era of DC movies now, I'm not sure there will be a continuation of this, but let's see where the DC cinematic universe is going.

I only know Jaime Reyes for a day, but if something ever happened to him, I would kill you and everyone else on the planet earth.
Jaime is just too precious!! At first I was actually very skeptical about this movie, but holy hell, I was so engrossed during the whole sitting. Jaime is so pure and precious and he needs to be protected at all costs. No wonder Khaji-Da chose him.
Also, the whole Reyes family!! Nana, Mami, Mili, RUDY!!! And rest in peace father :'( I cried during his death scene. But it also builds Jaime as a character.
I think this is the first superhero movie that I ever watched where the main character got the full support of the family and how his family helps him to make him stronger. I'm no Mexican, but their family culture is so similar to mine so I can relate to the Reyes family situation so much.
I really need Jaime Reyes to be adopted by the Wayne family. Alfred would pamper the hell outta him.
And, I need a second movie!

Now I understand all the fuss about this movie. Barbie is clearly a satire, and we all know that satire is not for everyone.
To me personally, this movie is epic. Portraying the whole feminism and patriarchy really well and the social critics it brings is just wow.
I can imagine this movie becoming a classic in the next 50 years. This is definitely not something you can easily forget. The way they wrote it. The whole set up. The whole act. The way they broke the 4th wall. Just epic.

I didn't expect to enjoy the movie so much! And it surprised me as well how good Timoth茅e Chalamet is at musical -- I know he has a music background, but wasn't aware that he could do musical movie as well.
All in all, I love it.
This movie tells me so much about the making of the infamous Willy Wonka, the chocolate maker. I also love the found family and the heartfelt friendship and camaraderie between each character in this movie.
And the magic itself! Everything is so amazing.
And don't let me overlook Hugh Grant as Oompa Loompa 馃槀 that is just one epic appearance.
I need another Wonka movie with Chalamet please.

As expected from Makoto Shinkai, the animation and the art in general is pretty. The characters are also pretty! The male lead, Souta, reminds me of Howl though somehow.
However, storywise, I think I don't find this as deeply affecting me as Your Name or Five Millimeters Per Second. I can't really pinpoint why though. Maybe because to me it feels rushed? Especially the chemistry between the two leads, Suzume and Souta. It's still beautiful though.
Suzume's auntie and Serizawa are also very interesting characters! I think these two earned a special place in my heart.
I really like how Makoto Shinkai describes the grief and lost over natural disaster that makes it a tragedy. I think it gives me similar feels as Overtake! -- that one anime about car race and photography. The tragedy in this one feels more real than Your Name.
Anyway, it's still a fun watch!

Breathtakingly amazing is the term I think represents Dune Part Two. I love everything about it! And let me tell you, the cinematography is 馃挴馃憣馃挴馃憣also, I don't even need to convince you of the acting quality of all the actors, right?
Timoth茅e Chalamet and Zendaya's chemistry is uncanny. Florence Pugh is as fierce as usual. Anya-Taylor Joy's appearance is brief but left such an impression. I mean, Dune Part Three would be even more perfect if they add Saoirse Ronan to the cast list so that all the gang will be there 馃槀
However, despite all that, I think my most favorite part of the movie is the small tidbit at the end; where Chani's lips quivered as she left Paul, holding back her tears. Zendaya's acting choice in that particular scene is so powerful. Because it represents her as Fremen. Fremen who lived their whole life in the desert, and being taught that she shouldn't shed any tears and waste her water for something even if it's as huge as heartbreak. I think that officially cemented my opinion that Chani is my favorite role of Zendaya ever.
Also, Tim Chalamet! He has grown so much from the first time I saw him in Call Me By Your Name. I knew then that he has so much potential and now he flourishes. Along with the others I mentioned above (Zendaya, Florence, Anya-Taylor, Saoirse), I think this is the Beast Generation of Hollywood. And Tim Chalamet as Paul makes me think that he would be a great Tim Drake. Please please DC makes it come true.
Lastly, I won't say anything else besides; go watch the movie if you haven't.

I missed the actual theater release because I was 1 month after having a baby and in no way fit to go to the cinema to watch this, but I'm so glad now that it's available via streaming service!
Better late than never, right?
Anyway, the hype was true. The movie is just as fun as what people talked about back then.
This is the sequel of the first movie 23 years ago -- I was around 8 when I watched the first movie. Time flies! And again, I had a fun an amazing adventure of Sherina and Sadam.
They were little back then in the first movie, but now they are adults, and holy hell, their relationship dynamic is something I'm dying to see in any straight relationship in any media! The banter, the way they navigate through crisis, the gestures towards each other... everything is just too cute. I think this is my fav ship dynamic because I can see most of my OTPs in the similar dynamic; sterek, jaytim, kurodai, aokaga, sourin, etc.
I also love the scenery throughout the movie! They captured the beauty of Kalimantan awesomely 馃挄
And I think... I think we should get a third movie.

I know I have read the manga till the end so basically I know everything that happened, and yet I was still in awe every time the anime or the anime movie came out.
Same story here. The first half of the movie is basically repeating the end of the previous season, and the other half is the new story prelude to Hashira training, but I'm still emotionally attached.
When Nezuko is shown that she can withstand sunlight, I cried again :')
Also, Shinazugawa brothers!!! I just can't with them Sanemi looks so perfect. Genya looks so perfect. I know what will happen to them but I won't care because my brain is always full with a happy ending.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next season of Hashira training 馃挄

I've been wanting to watch the Dear Evan Hansen movie forever -- because I live on the other side of the globe and I can't go watch the Broadway play, so the movie adaptation is my only hope -- and I got so excited when I saw the ads back then in 2021. But I guess it never aired in my local cinema! And then it kinda slipped my mind, till I browsed Netflix tonight.
And wow.
I fell in love with Dear Evan Hansen through the songs even though I never watched the play before, and to have the songs finally being a part of the actual story amazed me!
Sure, there are songs that aren't included in the movie, but You Will Be Found and Only Us made it! It's so beautiful. I also love Anonymous Ones -- can't remember whether this one is on the play or not, but this song is great to me.
The mental health topic in the storyline is being tackled well I think, especially as they are also including all types of people who could have suffered from the burden. It shows that it can be anyone, even the highly functional one. The song is a good reminder that we're not alone.
I was kinda worried at first, about the big revelation that Evan is lying, because most of the time, it would get depressing for me to have to second-hand experience what the main character feels. I mean, we have a track record in movies here, especially when the big theme revolved around a lie that snowballs into bigger lies and bigger and bigger. And I was worried because the story's main issue is mental health, and I don't think having anxiety-induced revelation would end well for everyone, even I worried that our main character would end up hurting himself so badly that there is no way back in there; but I think they handled it pretty well? Especially by not showing too much everyone else's reaction and just focusing on how Evan tried to occupy himself by finding out more information about Connor. It's cathartic somehow.
At first, I thought about what's going on there between Evan and Connor could be a good inspiration for any of my ships, but then I remember that I can't stand having one half of my ship being not alive so...
Anyway. I love the songs. I love the story. And it's leaving Netflix on 6th March so if you haven't watched it, maybe it's a good idea to give yourself a try.

As I'm following two Disney+ original series at the same time; one if Percy Jackson and The Olympians and the other is Tira, I'm starting to wonder that the feeling of these shows feeling 'flat' to me is because Disney+ production is the problem.
Because as I wrote in my previous post about Percy Jackson and The Olympians that it feels flat to me in some ways, Tira also feels the same. There is stuff that is so rushed and doesn't gauge the maximum feelings it could experience. For example, the death of Ing Lan and how Haikal found out that Angkasa Prabaswara is not actually his father; how Angkasa Prabaswara as the leader of the 9 dragons should be more cunning and cold-blooded; the death of Widya Laksono; the whole fiasco of Maudy loving Haikal but Haikal is the enemy. That stuff can fuel 1000% more drama if being executed more thoroughly.
However, kudos to Bhisma Wijaya because at first I was so 'meh' about Ben character but at the end of the series I'm so fond of Ben that if there's something happened to him (again) I will riot.
Chelsea Islan always gives her all in every project of her that I've ever seen and this one is no exception.
I hope the Suci - Ben friendship is cemented that this brotp of mine will not sink into romanticization.
Suci still has 4 more dragons to hunt with only 16 days left at the end of the first season, so I hope the second season comes soonest before everyone is running out of time.

This series adaptation is somehow what I expected and also what I don't expect at the same time.
I enjoyed the series, but it's not overwhelmingly amazing like the Good Omens experience. Because somehow there are still a lot of things that just fell flat to me -- especially some of the acting choices.
What strikes me the most impressive of this series is actually Medusa. Jessica Parker Kennedy gave me these eerie feelings that are so perfectly delivered and nailed the ambience of the episode.
That scene where Grover was cunning Ares was also exciting! It's really nice to see the other side of Grover that we can't see in the books because the books rely solely on Percy as the narrator.
Still, I'm looking forward to the next season -- though at the same time I'm also worried because the existence of another season means there is a possibility this series will reach the point where they will have Nico di Angelo, and as a Nico di Angelo enthusiast, I'm worried they will butcher his character.

I didn't think that I would get hooked onto this series. I seriously thought that it was just going to be a series that I would watch while I'm eating or something like that. But before I knew it, I already bingewatched the whole two seasons two nights in a row!
At first my thought was, "Wow, this guy reminds me of Jason Todd," but then I gotta get to know him more and he also reminds me of Eliot Spencer! Jack Reacher. What a guy.
I love his character, but my ultimate favorite is his brotp with Frances Neagley!! These two are awesome together. Neagley is needed in every season.
Also, I wouldn't mind a whole season of 110th adventure. That's gonna be epic.
This series has a whole lot of actions and explosions. Plotwise I think it's not in the outstanding rank, but it's still great in my book! The plot is very engaging and I enjoyed every minute of it.
For everyone online I see complaining about S2 because Reacher doesn't work alone and thus thinks that his status as 'lone wolf' is threatened, I don't agree with you. I think deep down, Reacher is always about family. First season about Joe. Second season about 110th. He cares deeply about people he deems worthy and he will go so far to protect them, or in this case, avenge them.
God forbid if something ever happened to Neagley. I'm pretty sure Reacher would turn over hell and heaven for her.
Alan Ritchson. He will be on my radar. I hope he gotta be Batman at least.
Looking forward to Season 3!
P.S. where are all the fanarts and headcanon about 110th guysss. Especially Reacher and Neagley brotp. I need mooooore.

I didn't think I would be so attached to this anime, but I did.
The story revolved around our two MCs: Madoka Kouya, 36 yo, a professional photographer; and Asahina Haruka, 16 yo, an F4 racer.
Kouya had a trauma so he avoided taking pictures of people, until one day he subconsciously snapped a picture of a crying Haruka backstage after he lost in a race. And the story progressed from there, how Kouya healed his trauma with Haruka's help, and how Haruka could reach his goal with Kouya's help.
I really, really love the dynamic between Haruka & Kouya because I do think that they both need each other at this point in their life so they are both able to move forward. Especially when they bring the best out of each other. Haruka teaches Kouya to communicate his feelings and Kouya is there for Haruka to be his anchor.
Also, the nice combination between F4 racing and photography in this anime is just 馃憣馃憣馃憣
And don't let me start on other characters. Yukihira Saeko, Kouya's ex-wife, is also one of my favorites because she's just the best.
The art is also amazing! Tho ep 1 and ep 12 have the best animation and cinematography in my opinion, the other episodes are also so very beautiful to watch. I love everything about it. Go watch all 12 episodes now!
And if they decide to make another season, count me in.

Tags: Flashing lights. Like, a lot of it. So people who are sensitive to it should be very cautious. Other than that, I can't think of any trigger warnings.
Okay. I'm 6 months late to this. But now I understand why you guys are so feral over Miguel O'hara. I got it now.
But seriously? This movie is so amazing. I didn't experience it through the big screen, but even from my TV screen, it already looks so damn awesome. I imagine it must be even more WOW from the big screen of the cinema. With the surround sound.
I don't need to say more about the storyline. It's so complex. It's so mesmerizing.
The art AWES me so damn much. The colors. The movement of the animation. The soundtrack.
Usually, a sequel's quality would decrease a little from the first movie but not this one. I can't wait for the Beyond the Spiderverse because I'm so excited over what they are going to give us.

Namanya Adam by @apitnobaka is one of the greatest stories I've ever read. I really, really love it. The story is simple but yet the storytelling is so captivating I just couldn't stop till the very last word in the book. And even then, I'm still thinking about it, still wondering about the characters in it.
Namanya Adam (English translation His Name is Adam) revolved around Adam; an older brother of 4 girls, the only man in the family after his father passed away when he was 10yo and he is forced to be a man at such a young age. Because his father's last words to him were to take care of his little sisters and his mother, and he took it at heart.
And then he met Steve when he was 23yo. A man 2 years younger than him. The man that makes him feel something.
And oh boy, to read everything unfolds in Adam's life as written by apitnobaka is really something else. I can't help but fall in love with every characters, from the main ones Adam & Steve, to everyone else: Adam's sisters--Fina, Nani, Nina, Amanda; Adam's best friend--Angga, even the minor ones in Adam's life: Herr Paul--Adam's first boss and mentor, Lukas--Adam's first encounter with relationship with a man, Lia--Angga's girlfriend. Everyone's characters are just so compelling to read!
I definitely wouldn't mind if there is another 10--or 100 more--sequels of this book.
The book is available in Bahasa Indonesia and can be purchased (pre-order) from tokopedia or shopee!
