AMEN
Adam Driver deserves happiness/kindness.
Like, the dude is a freaking amazing actor, is incredibly kind, has a non-profit organization, Arts in the Armed Forces(They stage performances for Military personnel! ) He is a Marine, though medically discharged before his unit was deployed to Iraq.
He’s really self-conscious about his appearance, as some would call it “unconventional”.
“I’m like a sight gag. I have this really big face.” -Adam Driver, on his appearance.
I don’t totally get it. I mean, when I read for Girls, I was, like, the script says ‘Handsome Carpenter,’ so someone else is going to get the part. They’ll have someone handsome, not me. I mean, I’m not in any danger of getting leading-man parts.” -Adam Driver, on his appearance.
It’s really disappointing to see people so quick to judge him based off his appearance(a flood of which coming from his role as Kylo Ren), when really, people should be judging him based off his acting skills. (Let’s face it, he SLAUGHTERS HE GOOD AT ACTING).
This is a guy who doesn’t like making appearances in public, doesn’t like red carpets, and fiddles around uncomfortably during interviews, and fears any social media because of the possibility of negative comments about his appearance/himself. He does not deserve people calling him ‘ugly’.
Hate all you want on the character Kylo Ren, but don’t drag the perfect actor behind the character down with your hatred.
