these are a few of my favourite things:
orphan black, critical role, motu & spop, fire emblem, bioware, bg3, fc5, pillars of eternity, 9-1-1, & a ridiculous number of assorted other nerdy things
writers and artists will go "this isn't good enough." my brother in christ, you're creating something new out of nothing and expressing yourself creatively. your productivity and unrealistic standards of perfection do not define you or the worth of your art. you're doing great.
"Just so you know this was the best day of my life."
The levels of world building to that is actually so good
But first of all fuck you asshole
Second of all
Imagine living in a wasteland all your life but then for one day you get to eat delicious food in a country farm wedding to a beautiful woman who takes you to a home you only saw in old newspaper pictures. For just a moment you could feel what that life was like? That's insane. But not sustainable
on that note why is there NO medical privacy in Starfleet? there's like no private exam rooms or hospital beds in any sickbays. random people walk into the room in the middle of exams all the time and the doctors will just share diagnoses in a room full of people. like wtf what if I didn't need my supervisor knowing that I have IBS or im pregnant with an alien or whatever????? captains will just ask doctors for updates on someone's condition and immediately get them?
whenever u are playing a video game and u think “this sucks. why wouldn’t this npc trust my character completely? why would they criticise their decisions when my character made the best choice available to them? why would they withhold information from my character and act according to their own agenda instead of trusting them?” that’s because it’s YOUR job to make a character who kind of sucks. and it’s not the game’s fault you didn’t do that
the problem isn't just that media literacy is slowly becoming a dying art. it's that people straight up do not pay attention when they watch tv/film anymore.
